A Luxurious Oasis in the Heart of the Old Quarter

A luxurious stay in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter! The location is perfect—everything is nearby. We booked an inside room, and it was the best choice—quiet and comfortable despite the bustling surroundings. The room felt upscale, and the daily buffet was a highlight, offering a great variety each day. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly accommodating and made our stay even better. Highly recommend for a premium experience in Hanoi!

Very well positioned, well run friendly hotel.

Bed was like a cloud. Clean room. Very quiet inside hotel despite noise outside. Very central location. Buffet breakfast was incredible. Roof top bar and pool beautiful. Staff were so accommodating. 10/10 would recommend

A great property overall with very friendly staff who would do anything for you. Comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Breakfast buffet was very good as was the roof top bar including food. A great place to stay in the Old Quarter.

The service and staff were exceptional. The hotel is located right in the middle of old quarter so we were in the midst of it all. The hotel amenities, sky bar and buffet breakfast were all outstanding. Will definitely be back.

recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible, which truly stood out to us. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options that left us fully satisfied every morning. The room itself was very efficient, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting, contributing to a relaxing experience. One of the highlights was the upstairs bar and pool area—absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking, and the space provided a comforting and relaxing retreat. It was a great place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. While the hotel itself was fantastic, I would recommend an upgrade to the fitness center and perhaps offering more rooms with windows for better natural light. Additionally, though it’s not something the hotel can control, the evenings and nights in the area can be quite chaotic. Outside establishments tend to spill into the streets, making it difficult to walk through the area at times. That said, for a short stay, this hotel is highly recommended. The staff is exceptional, always willing to assist with any issue, and the facilities provided a very comfortable and pleasant experience.

Great staff and hotel but the location is between night clubs and bars. Be prepared for no sleep until after 2am.

Excellent staff and the location was great. Gym was small but usable. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Would highly recommend as a first time Vietnam visitor.

This was a great location- such a vibrant part of the Old Quarter and everything at your doorstep. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool and rooftop bar have an amazing view. My kids were delighted with the breakfast buffet- lots of variety of both American and Asian cuisine and they custom make your eggs to order if you wish. I had a hard time choosing a hotel based on so many options but was so glad we decided on this one. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast and perfect location walking distance to many things we wanted to see

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Such a vibrant street with plenty of food options and local shopping. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wish I could give them 7 stars if I had the option. The only downside, Gym facilities not good..

This was a lovely hotel with a great staff. It is definitely in the heart of the Old Quarter so be sure you are ready to feel and hear the hustle and bustle of street vendors, visitors and life in the city. Despite the excitement and noise, the staff was courteous enough to get us a room that was away from most of the noise. Sal the sales manager and Erin were both amazingly helpful and attentive in getting us booked and situated not only into hotel but also on our tours

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Rosie checked us in and was very informative of the surrounding area and popular sites to visit. She also checked in on us during breakfast to make sure everything was ok. There were guests that were quite rude to her and she handled the situation in a very professional manner. The property was in a convenient location and the atmosphere around was great. Would definitely recommend to people travelling to Hanoi and want to be in the middle of the action

Little Gem

This hotel was brilliant from start to finish. The service was top notch with very friendly staff. The room was spacious and well appointed and luxurious and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Location was right amongst the action of Old Quarter Hanoi. The pool and sky bar were also excellent. Highly Recommend.

Great staff and beautiful rooms

The staff at Hotel de Souriant were the most fabulous I have come across for a very long time. They were friendly, helpful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our rooms were really comfortable however as they are in the middle of the old quarter, there was a lot of noise from the surrounding area. The earplugs did the trick though and we always got a great nights sleep. I would definitely this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi and who wants to experience the local culture.

The staff was absolutely amazing and beyond accommodating! I would recommend to anyone traveling to the Old Quarter. I have no complaints at all!

Very friendly staff

I was here for a couple of days during my trip to Hanoi. The location is perfect as everything is within walkable distance in the old quarter. The staff was friendly and gracious. Breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in Hanoi. 😁

Only stayed here for one night between Halong Bay and SaPa but the facilities were great, especially the pool and sky bar. Breakfast was adequate with varied options. Great location within the old quarter but a little noisy if you had a window out onto the street where karaoke and music go on late into the night. Ear plugs provided by hotel was a great idea but did not work well. Overall a pleasant stay.

The staff are absolutely amazing especially Luna. They really go the extra mile to ensure you have an awesome time. Also because we stayed during our birthday they made it extra special with a cake and birthday balloons and birthday sign. The breakfast is great, there is a lot to choose from which is great. I would definitely reccomend.

Amazing Hotel!

This hotel was just amazing. Daily breakfast was great, restaurant that just opened downstairs was so good and service was wonderful. Rooftop bar had great views and amazing drinks! It was so relaxing to sit up there and enjoy the night. The pool looked clean but we did not get in it. This hotel is in the old quarter. The area is very lively! Noise was actually not too bad in the rooms but you are near beer alley. You will have a great time! If you are not there for the night life or the action of a city, this may not be the place for you, but other than that it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The service was top-notch! Also used their laundry service, dropped it off in the morning and received my clothes that afternoon! Again I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Stay there and enjoy the Old Quarter! This is one of the reasons I fell in love with Vietnam!

Dommage...pas de jus d orange, ni de jus de fruits frais au petit dejeuner... Chambre 807 bruyante,on entend le bruit de la piscine juste au dessus en permanence...

Deceptive... When booking room it did not clearly state 'no windows' like most hotels in Hanoi... As I suffer from Claustrophobia along with the room being so small. Not good enough for the price!

Absolutely Fabulous Service

I cannot express enough how lovely this hotel is from both the rooms, locations, sky bar, and especially the service! Hanna at the front desk and Kim at the Sky Bar are just phenomenal. Everyone else was so sweet too, but those two really made it feel like our Vietnam home!

This Hotel ticked all the boxes, great location in the heart of it all, Pool and roof top bar overlooking the City, this combined with a superb buffet breakfast and friendly staff made this a most enjoyable weeks stay.

Good place to stay

HOTEL IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING POLITE AND FRIENDLY STAFF. GOOD BAR AND ROOFTOP, I RECOMMEND IT.

Great location: eateries and restaurants at the front door as well as markets, minimarts, bars and walkable to the central area around the lake. Service with a smile: Hanna, Sunny, Broky and the team all went above and beyond to constantly help us out, give good advice on events and things to see. We felt like family after three days of staying with them! I would definitely return to this hotel when in Hanoi next time! Excellent location, service, comfortable rooms, pool and delicious breakfast! Great stay for a small price! Love the staff!

The location is excellent for young people

Great location, very busy. Great breakfast and helpful staff.

I just stayed for 1 night and arrived in the evening after a long day of traveling. The hotel is located in the middle of the busy bar/food district. The road to the hotel was closed off that night and I had to walk to the hotel from the main road. There is a disco right across from the hotel and a karaoke street bar with lots of young tourists and cambodians flocking the street. It was very loud until about midnight ( free earplugs provided by hotel) The rooftop pool was ok. I would have given the hotel a 3 star rating but the staff was super friendly and tried to make the stay more comfortable. Included breakfast was superperb. I also ate dinner in the restaurant.It was excellent and pricing was affordable and similar to other restaurants in the area. It was very hot so I opted to spend the little time I had in a my cool room

Amazing and Kind Staff

Very clean and great location but the differentiator from other hotels is the staff friendliness and care. They gave thoughtful recommendations, messaged me when I was sick one day to see if I needed anything, truly just kind humans.

It’s a older hotel, it was clean and comfortable. AC could have been colder. It’s an average hotel and fit my purpose

Great stay at this hotel. Staff could.not have done more to make us feel welcome and at home. Breakfast was really nice, plenty of oprions and a menu of some things cooked to order. Pool eas great. Despite the reviews id read about it being noisy at night, we slept perfectly well and did not experience muh noise at all. The hotel is right in the middle of the chaos of the old district, so you are right into the fun and madness of Hanoi. If you're in doubt, go for it, it really was a lovely experience!

This hotel is in the middle of everything you want to see. The customer service is the best we've ever experienced. Everyone was kind and hard working. The breakfast buffet was excellent. If we come back to Hanoi, we will definitely stay here again.

First day in Vietnam

Great location, lovely service and wonderful rooftop bar.

The staff were excellent, extremely helpful and prompt with all our requests, always with a smile. The location was great, very central, walking distance to cafes, restaurants and shops and sights of Hanoi. Breakfast was very good, a variety of different foods.

Great location and excellent roof top bar

The street comes alive a night excellent location just noisy. The hotel does all possible to try to limit noise in room. Have sets of ear plugs for guest

Great central location, close to everything

Very comfortable, new and spotlessly clean Hotel. Staff are well trained, speak English and are very professional. Buffet breakfast is excellent, broad range of foods, very fresh and inviting. A few cons, noise from the street can be excessive until around 11pm. Ear plugs are often but not always supplied in rooms with fresh water daily. We got a late checkout, 6pm for half price of a daily rate, which I think is very reasonable.. . just couldn't get an amount stated, in VN Dong or Dollars, only a %. Great location, great staff, very comfortable and spotless.👍

Excellent Service, Good Location

The plusses are very friendly and helpful staff, large room, very convenient location. Also have pool and (small) gym, which many boutique hotels in Hanoi do not. Downsides were noisy room facing street (hotel provides earplugs), modest breakfast offering, and dispensers in shower were not functioning. But rates as 4-star

Location is good, but busy and noisy so be prepared. They close the road outside the hotel Fri-Sun in the afternoon/evening no access via car. You’ll need to walk if you’re checking out to meet your driver. There’s currently no bar/lounge despite Expedia listing this in amenities section. Pool is smaller than expected but not terrible. Limited lounges/seating. Get to pool around 2.30pm to enjoy a spot. Staff friendly & helpful.

We had an excellent stay at hotel de souriant! From the minute we arrived they looked after us with a welcome drink and a great breakfast. The staff were fantastic, and helped with any issues in a timely and positive manner. Always pleasant and helpful. Great location, everythings walking distance. Will definitely be back!

Perfect for what we paid, would stay again

Beautiful property, in the heart of the old quarter. Fantastic staff - very helpful, polite, and all had great English. The room was stunning, but you could hear a bit of the street noise (they did include ear plugs). The included breakfast was elite - loads of fresh fruit, an omelet station and fresh pho!

Wonderful location with great staff at reception and breakfast service. Convenient airport pick up. Was disappointed that the pool was broken during my stay as that is why I chose the hotel. Also I wish I would have received warning about the construction in the building sat and Sunday mornings at 8:30am.

Good location to be in the middle of everything. Check-in was easy, and the room was good. The safe didn't work, but the hotel had a safe enough feeling for the values I had with me. Check out was okay, and the bus station was conveniently nearby! The downside is people outfront (even in the normal morning hours) trying to sell you sex and they're very pushy about it. It's not the hotels fault, though, just for your knowledge.

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff.

The staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. Our city room view was street view and was noisy at night which is to be expected in the location. Ear plugs were provided and we slept well. We stayed the night before our Halong Bay cruise and stayed with them as well on the return, they stored our larger luggage while we did the cruise.

As It Is an the old quarter is a small cute hotel, clean, towels have seen better days and towels for swimming pool need to be taken from reception. Small pool but clean.
