The hotel is located in old quarter. It is within walkable distance to almost everything, everything if you enjoy walks. The room is comfortable and quiet, considering situated on a very busy street. I had many good sleeps even when traffic is horrendous outside. Staff is friendly and attentive. Also perhaps it is better to book ride to and from the airport with them? I paid over 500k viet dong for a one way trip from the airport to the hotel by taxi. When I booked the trip back with the hotel, it was only 300k. It is quite reasonable. I wish I had known before or the hotel had emailed and offered the service. Over all, it is a good hotel located in a very convenient location.

Penalties for smoking in the toilet of the rooms

I have been penalty for 500,000 for smoking inside my rooms toilet. They should inform me about this regulation while checking in and not during checking out. Anyway I will not use this hotel anymore and will inform my friends and associates about this bad experience.

friendly staffs, great location very helpful if ask for opinion on where to shop or day trip advice can arrange airport transport which is very reasonably price. cleanliness is acceptable.

Super small rooms with no windows.

I like the location , the hotel was clean and family room is bigger than I expected for a small hotel. Staff pretty awesome very helpful. What I didn’t like is they put a bowl of candy sweet on the front desk ,so my kid would love to take it each time we went down LOL 😁 just for a laugh! Thank you MARO !!!

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Old Quarter

WOW! Wish we had booked this place on the front end of our trip in Hanoi! We only stumbled across it because the end of our trip our previous hotel was booked. Lucky for us! This place is situated perfectly in the Old Quarter with a close walk to everything. It's down the by lake plaza so off the main roads, which was nice since we didn't have to march through the crowded and noisy streets to get to this area. We booked the family room which did not face the road so it was very quiet. The room was quite large with a kitchenette and sitting area as well. Very comfortable for our family of three. I will go back here for sure if we visit Hanoi again in the future. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Thank you Maro Hotel! We really enjoyed our stay with you.

EXCELLENT location! 2 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff (notably: Maria, Eric, Robinson, and Monika) went above and beyond. ALWAYS so pleasant and helpful with any requests or problems. Even sending out someone to buy me some fruits at the market early morning because my bus pickup was so early before breakfast room was open. I stayed in Suite Room (facing busy and noisy street, but noise didn't bother me at all at night). Nice BIG room! Would 100% stay there again, such great location and incredible staff.

"Maro Hotel" A hidden gem with 5 star Staff

From the time of my booking until my check out at "The Maro Hotel" I had a 5 star experience. Monica at reception was a great help prior to my arrival and during my visit. Airport transport thru hotel is the only way to travel, on time and stress free. With an early flight the kitchen staff and Bop Son went out of there way and made be breakfast. This type of service you wouldn't find at other hotels. I will return to Hanoi in October and again hope to stay at Maro. Also great location in Old Quarter. The picture used on Hotel website said it all "Welome Home". You have a good feeling exploring your new adventures. :)

Perfectly located

The Maro is perfectly situated, only 1 minute walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake and yet right on the edge of the Old Quarter. So you have easy access both to the beautiful waterside views and to the incredible noise and energy at the heart of the city without the intrusion of the noise when you want to escape and sleep off any excesses! Lisa and the team at the hotel were superbly accommodating and helped us makes sense of the narrow old quarter streets, pointing us in the direction of some excellent restaurants, both high- and low-brow. We stayed at the Maro on three separate occasions during our holiday as we used Hanoi as our hub for additional trips out to Laos and Halong Bay. The hotel were happy to look after any bags we wanted to leave with them while we were away and we were made to feel like old friends each time we arrived back. Overall, a lovely hotel in the right place in a great city.

Nice hotel with friendly staff: excellent location

Rooms are clean and well supplied; elevator is good; breakfast on the sixth floor affords a view of the street; excellent location. No natural light in the room, it was a bit small but ok; the breakfast was not on par with others I have seen but acceptable. Good dim sum about 50 metres away.

Hanoi has a humid weather in March. The ac stops while not in the room. This makes all suitcases content smelly (strong humid close space smell).The entrance door of my room is not good enough to stop the noise of the people talking or opening doors on the same floor. Rooms are nice, an excellent breakfast on top of the building with a nice view. The personel is super nice and very helpful. The hotel is very well situated in the "old quarter" that is in my opinion the most charmful area of Hanoi. The hotel can organize any tourist requests such as: airport private car pickup for $18-20, foreign exchange, airline tickets, laundry, etc Lisa and Monica are the hotel employees that can help you with a very good language skills ( English). Forget French unless you talk to older people who knew the French influence. Hanoi is the capital of the country and the old quarter where the hotel is located is a mixture of old French style buildings with a strong east asian flavor. The hotel is brand new among so many old buildings.

The location was great as it was very near the lake, and other shopping area. 7 eleven store was just opposite and restaurants are less than 5 minutes away. Receptionist are very helpful and friendly.

Very dirty, cockroach

Don't go here! Very dirty room, generally not well cleaned. Hairs in the bathroom and living area. A big cockroach walked on the floor, at this point I left the hotel. I had booked 3 nights and they said they would refund me, but now they refuse. I left the hotel without sleeping there.

Friendly staff and great location

Great and friendly staff. Location is spot on near to everything. Room could use a renovation as it was worn out. Cleaning could be more thoroughly done as I even found hair in the refrigerator.

10 days in Maro

I and my friend spent 10 days here and it was worth it. If you wanna travel Halong Bay, tell the front manager and he would friendly recommend you the best trip. Among everything, what's great about this hotel is the location :) nice restaurants, nice beer place, beautiful lake are just around. It would be very crowded and you gotta always keep an eye on bikes but, you can literally enjoy everything here. Have a nice trip !

Notre séjour familial au Maro Hôtel

Hôtel très bien placé, l'hôtelier nous a donné une grande chambre famille sur cours sans aucun bruit, ce qui était parfait pour nous. Néanmoins, nus avions deux fenêtres sans lumière du jour. Nous conseillons vivement le Maro Hôtel.

Vaikka WC on huoneen ulkopuolella, niin ei se minua häirinnyt ja kumminkin on oma WC/Suihku👍 sijainti on loistava ja hiljainen huoneeseen, koska on muutaman satametriä vilkkaimmalta beerstreetiltä! Perus tornitalo yksi huone/kerros niin on ainakin rauhallinen

立地を優先して決めたのでそこについては 良かったです。 部屋は写真より古さを感じ清潔感は少し低いかな。 チェックイン時に冷蔵庫の電源が入らなかったのですが、出掛けている間に交換してくれました。 スタッフの対応は良いです。 特に女性スタッフは翻訳アプリを使い一生懸命対応して くれました。 空港送迎のタクシー手配等お世話になりました。 また利用してもよいかと思います。

Rummet var väsentligt mindre än vad bilderna visar. Ingen plats för två öppna resväskor. Ena sidan av sängen hade varken nattduksbord eller hylla att lägga saker på. Stenhård säng och enorm kudde. Jag tog en handduk till kudde. Frukosten hade inga pålägg förutom margarin och sylt. Utöver det, endast ägg, frukt, nudelsoppa. Fruktansvärt lyhört, och stojigt på morgnarna. Rekommenderas inte, trots mycket vänlig personal.

２泊しました。 １泊目深夜着で、部屋に入ると暖房がつきませんでした。スタッフに言うと部屋に来てくれましたがスイッチがつかないと「寒くないからつかない」と言われたので気温9度でさむかったのですが仕方なくその日は過ごしました。もちろん寒すぎて一睡もできませんでした。しかし、次の日はロビーも朝食会場もしっかり暖房はついていました。 私は寒い思いをして我慢したのにあまりに酷い対応だと思います。 ２日目にスタッフに再度暖房がつかない旨を言い、再度対応してもらいました。 しかし、まだ暖房がつかない状態にもかかわらず何度も「ＯＫ！」と言って部屋を出ていこうとしたので、かなり食い下がってエアコンをどうにかする様にお願いしました。 ３０分ぐらいしてやっと着くようになりましたが、なんどもしつこい位言ったりしないと誠実な対応をしてもらえないし、嘘をつかれて放置されます。冬のハノイで暖房なしは相当つらいです。 あと、対応の際、私のベッドの上にすわったり、裸足でのったりされてとてもいやでした。 寝る場所に、裸足で乗るのは不潔だと思います。

Parfait en tous points

Petit hôtel récent avec beaucoup de charme. Emplacement juste incroyable derrière le fameux lac de l’épée et les rues animées d’Hanoi. Le personnel est formidable et respire la gentillesse. Hôtel à dimension humaine, avec un contact humain sincère. Rien à voir avec les grands établissements usines à touristes. Petit déjeuner satisfaisant avec assez de choix. Excellent rapport qualité prix

The right spot

This hotel.is just right and perfect with really good value for money. Nice, clean and very friendly staff. This is situated right in the Old Quarter but..... no noise at all.

中心街にあって、とても便利でした。外は賑やかですが、部屋はとても静かで快適でした。朝食のフォーがとても美味しく、南国フルーツやドリンクで大満足でした。スタッフも皆さん英語が通じてとても良くして頂き感謝しています。ありがとうございました。

2泊お世話になりました。 部屋はコンパクトですが、新しく清潔。エアコンの効きも良く快適でした。 チェックイン時、外出するとき、戻るとき、スタッフの皆さんがいつも笑顔で挨拶をしてくださるので、こちらも気持ちよいです。 2日間とも朝が早く、朝食を楽しめなかったのが残念。 出発日は5時と早く、ソファーで休んでいたスタッフの方を起こしてのチェックアウトでしたが、丁寧に対応してくれました。ただ、依頼していた空港までのタクシーの手配に手違いがあって40分ぐらいロビーで待つはめに・・・。 結果、時間には間に合ったので良かったですが、最後にドキドキしてしまったのが、少し残念かな。 ホアンキエム湖、週末のナイトマーケット、水上劇、飲食店、マッサージ、コンビニ、なんでも近く便利な立地です。 総合して満足です。

The room equipment is new, running enough hot water and the receptionist is very kindly. We can easily to access mini store for getting something to eat or drink (still open until late). It's totally recommended hotel.

Supertrevlig personal i nybyggt hotell

Har ALDRIG blivit mer välkommen till ett hotell. Från hjärtat tog personalen hand om oss. Redan 1a sekunden kände vi hur rätt det var. Välkomstkaffe/te medan hon kollade pass etc. Vi kom för tidigt men fick rummet ändå. De lyssnade av våra intressen och lotsade oss på en tydlig karta över Hanoi. Rummen var rätt små men hade allt som behövdes. Sköna sängar. Min sambo råkade förstöra en hylla i duschen och personalen bad 1000 gånger om ursäkt, fastän vi var de som klantade oss. Frukosten var fräsch och mysig på högsta våningen med vy mot sjön. Möjlighet att äta på balkongen om vädret passat. Hotellet ligger mitt i de gamla kvarteren och ett gata från vackra sjön som är så trevlig att promenera runt. Mycket liv som händer i området. Hit kommer vi definitivt att ätervända. Supernöjd, högre än betygsskalan.

위치는 단연 최고였습니다. 서비스도 좋았구요^^ 호안끼엠 호수와도 가깝고 탕롱수상인형극장이랑 가까워서 너무 좋았습니다. 아무래도 번화가 옆이라 잠잘때 소음이 쫌 있었어서 살짝 불편했습니다. 방음만 신경쓴다면 좋을꺼 같네요. 식사도 6층에서 하니 호수도 살짝 보이고 좋았습니다.

Amazing Stay ! Perfect way to end your holiday

Maro Hotel might be new in town but it deserves a lot of credits. It got its own style. Even if some rooms are small, the atmosphere is there. The breakfast on the 6th floor is really enjoyable with fresh handmade juice, great pho, baguette (important if you're frenchie) perfect omelette and so on. What we like the most is the quality of the staff. Always smiling, helpful (we had the best spot for street food / coffee / bars as we need a local experience) and so friendly that we forget sometimes we stay at a hotel. Nice point, they know your name pretty quickly :) It's hard to believe the reception staff didnt studied abroad as their english is so good. And for some travelers, it can be a relevant point. Just one "bad" point, our room was pretty small. It didnt bother us as the hotel has so much positive points. So yes, we're in love with Maro Hotel. Looking forward to come back soon.

Séjour inoubliable au Maro Hotel

Le Maro Hotel a ouvert ses portes en octobre 2016 et a été décoré avec beaucoup de goût. A souligner son excellent emplacement, sa salle petit déjeuner au 6e étage avec vue sur la ville, ses belles salles de bain en marbre gris et surtout le personnel qui est extrêmement serviable et super-gentil! Lisa de la réception est exceptionnelle. Elle est allée au-delà de nos attentes pour rendre notre séjour vraiment inoubliable (réservation de transfert de l'aéroport à l'hôtel, décoration de la chambre, réservation d'une croisière sur Ha Long et Lan Ha Bay, réservation des billets de train, très bonnes recommandations de restaurants, spa...). Nous avons rarement vu autant de dévouement de la part de l'équipe pour rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible ... et cette année, nous avons déjà passé environ une centaine de nuits dans des hôtels de tout type en Asie, comme en Afrique ou en Europe...
