Faded sheets multicoloured towels One boiled egg cheese and salami for breakfast which they charged 9 euros per person for.absolutely disgraceful, well past its sell by date.
A pleasant convenient stay, central to Polis
Very basic hotel. Very old decor, looks like hasn't been updated since the 70s/80s. That doesn't bother me too much but this is a very basic hotel. No restaurant, no bar, no life. In a decent location though, walking distance to everything in central Polis. Shower bracket was broken in shower so had to hold shower head in 1 hand whilst showering. Turns out this is the same in most rooms as everyone else in our group had same issue! Air conditioning not great, 1 setting (on) with no temperature control. Centrally controlled. Customer service was quite poor though. Man on reception very unorganised and quite rude at check in. When one of our group made a complaint they received a very rude and inappropriate response. Wouldn't stay again.
Will not be back. We asked for the 5€ back for AC as it did not work. No staff on reception in the evening to ask for assistance. Staff in the morning extremely rude, after being shouted at for asking we just left early, never again.
Below average quality
The water in the shower smelt bad, the mattresses were cheap. The smoke detector had a sock covering it. The breakfast was fine. The hotel is dated say early 1980’s.
Very old and dirty
would not book this hotel again
very old Hotel, for the money I paid expected better, even though it was only a 2star hotel. Beds very hard, Bed Linen not ironed, Towells very hard, could have been cleaner, curtains falling down. In general not very happy, At the beginning of August I paid an extra 10euro and stayed in a 4star Hotel!!! Also Air Conditioning very loud
Bad experience.. Rude staff.. Bad service..
Don't go.. Bad experience. Cons First thing at reception: we didn't receive a a "welcome, how are you" but the guy at the reception, probably the owner, asked us in a rude way how did i find this very low price and that probably the hotels.com had wrong prices.!!!!! (actually the €40 without breakfast were too much for the specific hotel) We Couldn't use in comfort the swimming pool because a wedding arrangement was set up around the pool. No parking available because of the wedding. The hotel is very old. No fridge in the room. No shampoo or shower gel in the room. There were mattresses on the stairs. Good The lovely staff child that drived us to the room
Good location, for near by short trips
Never again. Bad behavior by the owner. Dated rooms. We left as soon as possible the next morning.
Overall very poor experience - would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Poor condition,
Water on bathroom floor from toilet pan, never cleaned up and no reason given TV had to be made work on three occasions by surly "manager" no running hot water at hand basin . passenger lift in noisy, poor operating condition No Air Con ! TV mounted on same wall as headboard Impossible!! Avoid room 214
Overall stay was fine, very good deal price wise. Receptionist can improve in customer service but was acceptable. Crystallia in the dinning room was exceptionally helpful, friendly, and kind.
Bargain
It was much better than expected, but you get what you pay for! I was given a family room with a balcony and sea view so I was very happy. The other positives included very hot baths in the evenings a flat screen television with plenty of programmes and films in English free wifi in the room and communal areas a swimming pool 15 minute walk to the nearest beach via orange and olive groves, 30 minute walk to the lovely beach and port at Latchi 5 minute walk to the bus stop with frequent services to Paphos and plug sockets the same as in the UK and a big supermarket opposite the hotel. The negatives were that there only seemed to be a couple of other people staying in the hotel so that made the place seem a bit eerie and it lacked any ambience. The walls were also very thin so I was woken up in the middle of the night on numerous occasions by people shouting in the rooms next door the room had not been vacuumed it was not very clean there were other people’s hairs on the bed sheets and in the bathroom there were cockroaches in the bathroom and there was a tar like obnoxious smell coming from the bathroom. The room was also cold even when it was balmy outside and the heating didn’t go over 15 degrees. I like to keep to myself but when I did speak to the staff on arrival and departure they were very pleasant.
Suitable for night stay
Would work for a very short stay only. Cental location in Polis (if that's important). Extremely dated and poorly maintained. All sorts of insects running around the place.
Good value for money. Friendly staff. Familie hotel.
Absolutely awful! Do not stay here!
The room was dirty and outdated, no electrical points were working, tiles broken in the bathroom, stained carpets and mattresses, no where to keep your belongings safe. In the morning I was told I was only allowed a coffee instead of a morning buffet which I think, I was lucky as Breakfast was shocking! Filthy cutlery, cups and tables. Staff were rude and unwelcoming and hardly spoke any English. Their trusted taxi service took me 45mins in the wrong direction and left me in a random village in Cyprus as I wasn't making any sense apparantly - even though he was the one who couldn't talk English! Well thanks to them I was then lost for two hours and only just made it to my brothers wedding! I regret staying here! I lasted two nights and moved on as it was such a bad experience! I wish I paid that little bit more for a higher rated hotel. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here or even in the town of Polis. Never again will I visit this hotel, that town or country. It's disgusting the way they treat you as a holiday maker.
This hotel needs major rennovation
This hotel facilities were probably never renovated since it was build (I guess back in the early 80's). The room was old, with an old fitted carpet and a funny smell. The same holds for the halls and dining rooms. The wifi access was very intermittent albeit having an access point outside the room. Bathroom was clean but very dark. No outside window. No refrigerator, and use of the air condition costs additional EUR 5 per day. Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great short break
Nice clean room , gone far beyond expectation . Nice atmosphere and good location next to local supermarket and shops.
Dated hotel but still good value for money.
The hotel is NOT close to the beach as mentioned in some reviews, it is a good 20 minutes' walk to the nearest beach. Situated about 10 minutes' walk from the town centre, there is not much going on in the area but it makes it a quiet place. In fact when I stayed there last week I only met one other couple in the hotel. The room was cleaned every day, but did not offer any of the things we take for granted in the UK, i.e. shower gel, shampoo, kettle etc. none of that was provided. The decor was very outdated. Breakfast was very basic and not appealing, no fresh fruit juice, only one choice of jam, boring bread. The pool area was also deserted, the water not too clean and sunbeds a bit grubby. Staff was friendly enough but you felt like you were on another planet, I never saw anyone in the bar which looked otherwise pleasant. Buses are reliable and frequent and you can easily get to Latchi and the Baths of Aphrodite which have much nicer beaches especially the latter, with lovely clear calm sea. Polis itself has not much to recommend it, it's OK if you're looking for a quiet holiday away from the crowds. There is no shortage of restaurants and the food is always good and plentiful. I would not go back to this part of Cyprus.
Ok hotel
Hotel is ok but cold. You have to pay an extra 5 euros for heating and breakfast was very basic. We we're put in a room that smelt so bad of smoke so we changed but staff member was slightly rude and said its because I'm not a smoker and I'm sensitive to the smell. Why was the second room we went in didn't smell at all?! Morning staff were lovely with little English. But helpful
Not bad for the prise friendly and clean not a lot happening pool cloudy dit not use
Hotel room was clean but very out dated, the service was very good, the bar and the bar maid was amazing and very beautiful too, the hotel was located centrally within the town/village, the price per stay is very good, aprt from the rooms being very out dated it is probably the best place in town to stay, and not too far from phafo.
Marion Hotel Polis worth a try.
The hotel has seen better days in terms of decor and fittings, but it was impeccably clean and whilst old, everything worked incuding the air con. All safety measures had been proprly taken, ie smoke alarm etc and all lights worked. It is clearly a family-run business with very few staff, but for anyone looking for somewhere different, away from the beach crowds, this is worth a look. The food we were served was superb and Cypriot. We enjoyed our short stay and it was good value. We hope to go back. It needs investment but these are hard times in Cyprus.
OK but could do better
The location and parking were good. The room was basic, which was fine for a 3 star hotel, as all the essentials were there. We were unhappy with these items, which could easily be rectified: 1 - just tepid water for for washing, 2 - the basin plug hole was partially blocked, 3 - cooking smells came into the bathroom via the riser when the chef was on duty. And he set off the fire alarm. 4 - the phone was not working to contact reception. 5 - The breakfast was the same every day, OK but, being Cyprus, it would have been nice to have had fresh fruit as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff, as they got to know us over the week, became very friendly.
No frills but excellent value for money
Cozy little hotel very close to the beach. Unassuming rooms but very clean and tidy. No frills or thrills, but one of the best value for money deals i got in a long time

Great holiday at Marion Hotel
We stayed at Marion hotel two weeks last September. We found the hotel good value for money. Room cleaned every day, nice breakfast, very good evening meal and quiet. Really enjioyed our stay, the location was excellent, the staff very friendly Marion hotel is Ideal for a relaxing holiday. If anyone is looking for nice, relaxing quiet and friendly holiday, this is the place to go. We will go back.

RAS pour le prix. ........c'est correct ! Hôtel trop vieux pas asez entretenu. ...
Marion Htel come in famiglia !

Μας χρέωσαν επιπλέον €5 για το air conditioner. Είναι πολύ παλιό ξενοδοχείο και τα δωμάτια του είναι βρώμικα
