Area was safe and clean

OK fir 1 night

It was ok for one night. I thought the hotel was a little tired and need of some TLC. The shower was cold, not enough accessible power sockets, TV remote didn't work, the patio doors were very difficult to open. But it was clean and comfortable.

The so called "beach area" is terribly designed and we didn't use it at all, restaurant is really small, our room had multiple issues. The property is very tired and needs lots of maintance. Internet is extremely slow, forget about doing some work. Too many mosquitos everywhere. It has nothing to do with the usual Radisson level of service and quality. I don't feel this is a 5 star hotel at all and for the money we paid it was a bery bad deal. Currently we're in another hotel (just 50 km away) - price is 2 times cheaper and the overall experience is twice better.

I can't thank the staff enough, from Mohamed, who cleaned the room, to the dining room attendant, the beach personnel, all the bar staff, and the front desk, who gave complete help in making our time a great experience. I highly recommend staying here.

Noisy

I booked this hotel due to the Radisson reputation and sadly did not do enough research. On reflection the 1 and 2 star recent reviews on other sites echoed our experience which had the potential to spoil our holiday. Lucky we visited port ghalib to scuba dive and that was achieved, thankfully with a company not associated with this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very friendly, everything was made simple and the spa (extra charge) is excellent!

Gated hotel very clean the food was very good with a lot of options coral diving off the beach water park entertainment and managers were very attentive making sure we enjoyed each day I would highly recommend

Just isn’t five star in any way...

Had to check out many days earlier than scheduled to avoid ruining our holiday. Extremely poor. Rooms dirty and unsafe for children. Management unhelpful. Staff try their best but are hamstrung by poor processes.

What a resort!! The staff is really amazing and made us laugh from the first to the last day. Nothing we asked was to much. Food on New years was out of this world. The entire resort is very clean and neat. Best holiday ever!!

Overall a good stay

Overall our stay at Sunrise was good. The hotel was completely full so the staff were extremely busy. We did have some issues but once pointed out to the staff the issues were addressed.

Amazing Snorkeling, Free Wifi, and Awesome Rooms!

I've stayed at 3 different places in Marsa Alam and Sunrise has the best snorkeling right from the beach. It also has the best rooms out of the three places I've stayed. The room was immaculate and so big and clean! The first day I had several visits to my room to make sure everything was ok, which was nice, but a little annoying. The second day three guys showed up to deliver one welcome message and then later another printed message asking me to check my email. It was a little weird to have so many visits to my room when a phone call would be fine. The food here was abundant, but not the best and the waitstaff were terrible at bringing your drinks or refills. My daughter and I enjoyed bowling and playing on the waterslides. The waterslides were fast! Mohammed, the guy running the waterslides works super hard to make sure everyone is safe and always with a smile on his face. The entertainment wasn't the best. I wish they had karaoke instead of singers in the front area in the evenings. The singers weren't the best and karaoke would be more fun. There are so many shops here, so if you enjoy shopping you can spend hours shopping and never see it all! Overall, it was a great value. I love the free wifi and the snorkeling can't be beat!

Great place

Ive stayed here several times and we love it. So convenient for the marina and watching the boats. Great place for kids. Food is good. Hotel is clean and staff very friendly. If you want a quiet room i suggest not taking a room with Marina View.

No internet

Desperately wanted to WhatsApp to home , was hoping for internet after previously staying at at a hotel with poor internet . With seven hour time difference if they fix it an nine tomorrow it will be 2 am when I wake everyone up

Great hotel

Great hotel, the staff were excellent as was the food. All the facilities we expected were up and running, so we got everything it said on the tin.

Great Location, Good Value for Money.

Hotel is ideally located in the middle of Port Ghalib. The rooms are spread over a wide area, so pending on the type of room you book, you may be a little walk from reception / bar / restaurant. There is no lift to the 2nd floor, so can be awkward with luggage Rooms are good, but we had an issue with Housekeeping, where he would bring lots of water for the minibar (although it was full of water), but didn't replace the toilet rolls for 3 days - bizarre. Beside that, I would stay there again, as the rooms are clean, air con is good, shower powerful, food was good quality and plenty of choice for a buffet (although we mainly only ate breakfast and lunch on our last day). As we were diving everyday, we didn't use the Aquapark, apart from getting fresh towels everyday. The free wifi in the room was a little hit and miss, couldn't link into our room's router but picked up next door!!

A welcome break

The development is nicely laid out, with small blocks of rooms dotted around a larger, well-maintained landscape. The whole complex has a relaxed, unhurried feel to it. The central area of the hotel is well maintained, and being less than 10 years old feels modern in design with plenty of glass, great views, high ceilings and awesome aircon,

Avoid

Spent two weeks in Egypt and this hotel was definitely the worst. The room had a layer of dust on the floor, the bathroom was moldy and had a continuous sewage smell and the geyser only produced luke warm water. The food was plentiful, but of a shockingly boring variety, most things having been boiled to death. WiFi only available in the lobby and the staff will not give you the password, but will enter it into your device directly. Not sure why it received a 4/5 star rating on Hotels, but would recommend you look elsewhere.

Pleasing to stay at the Sunrise Marina, one wouldn't think they were in Egypt, very relaxing.

Much to improve especially the internet

The staff tries their best but their best is not enough. Internet does not work, tv either, no hangers in the room, etc.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo x quello che paghi ed essendo in Egitto e’ ok ma se vogliono continuare ad aver clienti non basta il prezzo basso devono eliminare le troppe mosche fastidiose sul bagno asciuga che rendono impossibile rilassarsi Aumentare la diversità di frutta c’è solo melone ( che non sa di niente )agrumi e mele datteri non solo a colazione ma anche a cena !! Pulire la palestra e tenere aria condizionata accesa e la tv e pulire tutte le porte perché sono indecenti USATE MENO CIPOLLA E AGLIO!! Non Metteteli dappertutto !

Für Tauchsafari ab Port Ghalib … ok

Wir hatten eine Tauchsafari ab Port Ghalib gebucht. Haben deshalb nur die Nacht vor Auslaufen des Schiffs hier verbracht. Dafür war es ok .

Die Unterkunft entspricht keine 5 Sterne. Es sind vielleicht 3 Sterne, wenn wir den Weltstandard nehmen. Das Essen an manchen Tagen sehr gut and anderen sehr schlecht. Das Hotel ist sehr kooperativ. Wir hatten ein gute Zeit, aber es hat nicht wirklich dem entsprochen, was man sich von einem 5 Sterne Urlaub erhofft. Das Hotel selber arbeitet mit vielen Partnern zusammen, die im Hotel Dinge verkaufen, wie Spa oder Touren. Viele diese Dinge sind für Ägyptische Verhältnisse überteuert und man bekommt andere Preise als Deutscher, Pole oder Italiener. Genaue Preise gibt es selten und von Woche zu Wochen und Verkäufer zu Verkäufer schwanken diese auch. Das einzige was wirklich ein Top Preisleistungsverhältnis hat, ist die Wüstensafari!

Hotel super consigliato. Location: posizionato vicino alla barriera corallina, spiaggia a 5 min a piedi con servizio di golf car, circondato da negozi di tutti i tipi. Servizi: ottimo, disponibilità di piscina, spa, gym, ristoranti e bar Personale disponibile e accogliente.

Wonderful stay in a great hotel.

My stay in this hotel was a very pleasant experience. I had booked a junior suite with marina view and it turned out to be a fantastic room, with a large sitting room, large bedroom with a wonderful bed and two beautiful bathrooms. Everything needed was present including a large flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities, fridge etc.etc. The spacious balcony offered a beautiful view of the harbor. This room is highly recommended. The beach with a beautiful reef, where you can snorkel and swim, is about 100 meters from the hotel. There are several swimming pools, the largest of which had wonderfully heated water. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was varied and tasty. WiFi perfect. Right next to the hotel are several shops and restaurants. In short, a great hotel for a wonderful holiday.
