Customer service is excellent. “Hotel is falling apart” Hotel has a great location but: No hot water, carpet are dirty, mattress’s are old, sheets are really old. Outlets are not working. I use to love this hotel, but I’m sorry, hotel must be upgraded or sold to another hotel who can make this hotel a real hotel.

The location is the best, very close to Larco and accessible to any place in Miraflores and San Isidro, which for me it was wonderful. I could get a taxi and visit the family and access to the best restaurants within the area. The Staff are wonderful, very helpful and nice. But I would pay attention to the cleanliness part. They need to renew the beds, sheets and the bathrooms. That would take Maria Angola to the way it was before when I used to live in Lima.

Hotel is in a great location, I have stayed in this hotel many years ago and nothing have changed since then, it is time to update it. the staff is very nice and accommodating.

Can improve on the cleanliness, its not very quiet and the rooms have poor lighting but it was only for 1 night and probably for the price couldnt find something better. Also, they were supposed to pick me up from the airport and never showed up.

Great location, nice staff and good customer service. The room 610 has mold in the closet, mold on the ceiling by the foyer and the carpet stinks in the apartment, the carpet on the foyer looks dirty as well. Is a nice hotel in a great location but it needs a full renovation for sure.

Great location for walking around the Mireflores area of Lima. Otherwise, not much else going for it. Rooms very worn, peeling paint in the washroom, dirty carpets, wifi not very reliable. Not sure I'd return unless it was a last resort.

Friendly staff, breakfast suppose to be served at 7:00, sometimes it is not ready until 7;30. It needs more items or variety.

I stayed at this hotel several years ago...and it has really gone downhill. Although the location is excellent, the bathroom had mold in it and the overall condition was OLD and maintenance deferred. For the price....it is better to find a better hotel.

Although I only had breakfast and slept there, the hotel is in a great location; close to shops, the infamous Kenedy park with its cats, and Calle de las pizzas. The hotel however is in a bit of disrepair. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but in need of some maintenance. The staff keeps the place as clean, neat, and tidy as possible. They are quite friendly and willinging to help. If you have limited choices give it a try. Otherwise keep searching.

Needs repairs

Location is great, but the hotel needs repairs. This is an old hotel, only one small elevator, I would give it a 3 star not a 4.

Poor service

Room service very poor. when required, they do not come, I had to go down at the front desk. We had to change room because the air conditioning system did not work, it took 50 minutes to settle it at the front desk.

My stayed at this hotel wasn't too pleasant, at first we got into a room and the smell of cigarette was really bad we couldn't sleep and next day in the morning we asked to be switch rooms, the receptionist gave me a big attitude and finally we got moved to another room. Breakfast was really bad!!! Only 10 olives, 5 pieces of chesse, 5 dry toasts and brown pinneaple seated there all morning! Who eats olives for breakfast? I asked is that all the breakfast buffet, their answer was yes it's american breakfast! So we decided not to eat there at all. Overall bad experience! !!!!

an enjoyable week

I sent a week there and I really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and the room always clean. The breakfast as always great. The hotel is in walking distance of all the main sites in Miraflores. Always remember that Miraflores is the popular district. It's true that it's not complete silence. Lima is the capital of Peru, the busiest town.

Haunted old hotel not renovated but good location

I've been in hundreds of hotels all over, but this was my fist experience in a haunted hotel. Between 3am and 4am the hotel rooms get really spooky. All my windows where shut and the air conditioner was to hot air but you could feel cold wind coming from nowhere, lights switching... it was very creepy. I didn't know it was going to be like this or I would have booked another hotel. I you don't mind this fact, location and price on the hotel is great. It's an old hotel and amenities are VERY low quality, which doesn't make the honor of a marble bathroom.

close to town but unsecure

I stayed in the hotel last week for 2 days. I left my bags in there when I checked out in the morning to return in the eve to go to the Airport. I returned to USA and when I got home I found that my brand new Iphone 4S on the box, new, had dissapeared from my bag. The only time I left my phone unattended was that afternoon. I had my phone before but not when I got home in USA. I decided to go back to Peru this last week end. I made special trip to recuperate my phone. I went to the hotel. I spoke with the manager. I told all the people in the hotel about my phone, no one said anything, they did not care, the manager said she checked and no one knows about the phone. So I came back to USA today. Total one extra trip to South America for 2000 dolalars searching for my phone and nothing. SO I will never ever go back there and no one should unless you keep an eye of your things 24 hrs a day.

El hotel parece ser antiguo. El desayuno es exatamente lo mismo todos los dias. No es posible regular la temperatura de la ducha, que o es demasiado caliete, o demasiado fría. El cuarto tampoco se cierra bien la ventana, y se pone frio a la noche.

Un hotel que ha visto mejores días. Realmente muy descuidado, desde un desayuno que iniciaba oficialmente 7am pero nunca estaba listo hasta las 720 o más, wifi con baja o ninguna señal, habitaciones que necesitan una renovación urgente con paredes manchadas de humedad, televisor con falla en colores. Agua en la ducha o salía muy fria o muy caliente haciendo el baño todo un desafío. Incluso solo hay dos ascensores lentos. Adicional estaba un equipo de futbol con ruido toda la noche y nadie les decía nada.

Hola mi estadia en el hotel Maria Angola fue de una noche, creo que tienen que mejorar el baño de la habitación, pero despues todo estuvo bien.

La habitación olía a humedad y en efecto se veía moho en el pasillo pero me dijeron que no tenían otra. Al llegar me informaron que no habían toallas disponibles. Que vergüenza.

Mala señal de wi-fi y alfombras y muebles antigüos

Wi-fi en Piso 9 pésimo, constantemente se caía, solo había nueve canales locales en servicio de TV, habitación oscura y con alfombras y muebles antigüos. Al cambiar a una habitación en Piso 3, Francy, la recepcionista de turno colgó el teléfono en repetidas oportunidades impidiendo que se le diera agradecimiento.

Sucio

Una corta estadia de negocios. No funcionaba el aire acondicionado, el banio estaba sucio y las instalaciones muy viejas. El ultimo día no tuve agua caliente... Y nadie se hacia responsable. Una lastima, hace dos años pase una estadia sin problemas. Nunca mas.

Excelente localização, bairro excelente perto de tudo restaurantes,mercados,cafés, joalherias e principais cassinos, apesar do hotel ser antigo e café da manhã fraquíssimo, ficaria novamente sem problema, recomendo.

Mi estancia fue muy satisfactoria, la atención es muy buena, pero solicite copia del Registro Tributario para poder registrar la factura en mi contabilidad y aun sigue pendiente, es la única observación que tengo. Ya que como Hotel los recomiendo mucho.

hongos en la ducha y mas

La ducha tenía hongos (MUCHOS), el dormitorio tenia excesivo ruido, el televisor era de los antiguos, no planos, los cubrecamas se notaban muy viejos y arrugados. En general se nota abandono en la habitacion. El desayuno muy mal atendido y muy poca variedad.

Segunda Vez en María Angola

Por la ubicación, volví a reservar en María Angola, habiendo recibido la vez anterior, un buen servicio.Lamentablemente, la limpieza de las áreas comunes del hotel, deja mucho que desear. Me dieron una habitación en el piso 9, y después de haber estado en la habitación por un rato, cuando decidimos salir, el único ascensor que supuestamente funciona, estaba en mantenimiento. Nos vimos obligados a bajar por la escalera de emergencia (escalera caracol) los 9 pisos. Por el trayecto nos dimos cuenta de que no eran solamente las alfombras de los pasillos del Noveno piso las que estaban sucias, sino las de todos los demás. Al parecerer, no pasan la aspiradora muy seguido. En nuestra habitación, no funcionaba el control remoto del televisor; el grifo del lavatorio no cerraba y por lo tanto perdía mucha agua, y las cortinas no eran oscuras, así que despertábamos ni bien amanecía. El hotel se encuentra en una ubicación inmejorable, pero es lamentable que no le den un mantenimiento acorde con el precio y con la categoría que tiene.

Muy buen servicio. Hotel antiguo que necesita renovación de alfombras y mantenimiento de las puertas, por ejemplo. Personal muy amable. Abundante agua caliente y muy buen wi fi. La ubicación del hotel es la mejor, en Miraflores.

El hotel se notaba que su mejor época ya es solo un recuerdo, tienen que renovar las habitaciones hacerles el debido mantenimiento, renovar el aire acondicionado el televisor, hacia frio en la noche, no probe el desayuno por motivos de tiempo, mi gran dificultad fue el estacionamiento, la primera noche no hubo problemas, pero la segunda noche al llegar al hotel alrededor de las 23 horas me indicaron que no tenian sitio porq estaba lleno de autos que no eran de huespedes, lo tuve que estacionar en la calle con un ayudante de un bar cercano, donde las aves se encargaron de ensuciarlo, mientras que el encargado del hotel solo se limito a decir esta lleno, en la madrugada pudo estacionar el auto dentro de su garage pero al querer salir en la mañana estaba cerrado por otros autos, por lo que perdi 30 min solo para sacar el auto.
