Wonderful as Always
Cute boutique hotel - rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are always checking in. Food is very good - my only wish would have been a larger menu. I highly recommend this property!
Beautiful property! The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are very unique. We frequent Cabo and have stayed at multiple resorts. This is definitely unique and worth a stay. Will be back
Beautiful intimate romantic and utterly scenic place.
Quiet and private. Great employees.property was difficult to enter off Highway. Food was also great.
Quiet and close to the water. Staff was amazing.
This hotel is a hidden gem! The property’s design is perfectly integrated into the site which is tucked between two larger hotels operated by the same group offering some great restaurants and resort amenities access. The staff and service were outstanding. This hotel was quiet and a delightful experience! I highly recommend.
The property was charming and the staff was so friendly and polite and helpful! We were upgraded to an ocean front room looking out over the beach and water. The room was comfortable and large and they left us wine on the first night and a beautiful dessert on the next. The beach was right in front of us, with great lounge chairs and towels and a few beach canopy beds. The beach was very quiet and uncrowded and we saw a lot of whales just off the beach. The only drawback of the property was that we spent a lot on Ubers going back and forth between San Jose and Los Cabos - the property is right in between them both. It was easy to get Ubers though - and there was a great restaurant right on site. They told us we could also use the much larger sister resort but we didn’t get around to it. Overall a lovely and charming stay.
Such a special, quaint, and quiet place. Truly paradise!
Fantastic!
This hotel was beautiful.! Service was excellent. The view from our room was picturesque!
The person no where fantastic ! Professional , respectful, resourceful.
Absolutely lovely gem of a place
Small but lovely. Comfortable bed, good internet, clean, quiet, always smiling and helpful staff....what more can you ask?
The room felt a like a dungeon. No windows except into a small cleaning chamber. Very dark. Lots of stairs to the beach and lobby.
Good stay
I can’t wait to go back!!
Great resort
We were staying at the hotel for a wedding. Beautiful property, fantastic service, and the restaurant food is good too.
Small but very well appointed boutique hotel in between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant onsite was exceptional, we ate there most nights. Front desk will also shuttle you to the next door restaurant based on reservation. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation with a clean beach and pool, this is the spot. Staff was courteous and attentive as well.
Would definitely stay there again
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. The staff, the restaurant, and accommodations were all excellent. We especially appreciated how helpful the staff were. The restaurant was also fantastic, great food, great service and beautiful views.
Quaint and Beautiful Boutique hotel
Many thanks to the amazing staff (Sergio, Fachis, Victor and Rosaura) at Mar Del Cabo. My family of five had a quiet, relaxing and lovely time. We had breakfast watching whales play, walking through the well maintained property, getting sun on a well maintained beach. It was all divine. I highly recommend this property and its staff.
The staff was so friendly & welcoming. Beautiful small & charming boutique hotel The beach front is breathtaking & loved watching the waves crash on the rocks. Loved all the colorful bougainvillea.
Incredible hospitality and warmth
The bougainvillea on the property was visually stunning. The umbrellas and chairs on beach were always well kept and attended to. The staff was courteous and extremely attentive. Amazing experience A
hidden gem!
Great food, ambiance, staff, and location. My husband and I prefer boutique hotels over large resorts however we were still able to go right next door to Grand Velas to enjoy a wonderful spa day. Everything you want is all here. If you're thinking about booking, go for it!
Construction all over resort. We were not notified prior to arrival and have to walk over rebar to get to the front gate. Jack hammers and saws were going on all day near the pool and the restaurant and bar were closed the entire time with scaffolding up all around the resort. On top of this the resort is much more run down than pictures suggest.
Beautiful and relatively quiet property. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel. Nice and calm. Relaxing environment
Horrible place to stay resort was dirty. The resort is falling apart. Door handles don’t work . Wi-Fi sucks. Super noisy , there is a lot of construction next door. Staff was not friendly at all. Overall, my friends and I had a bad experience we told staff the wifi was not working and they said they were going to fix but they didnot. I don’t recommend this place at all .
This property is small and unique next to the gigantic all inclusive resorts surrounding it. The construction next door is loud and a little annoying but the staff makes up for it. The restuarant is very good although it is over priced. A burger is almost $50. We enjoyed our stay though and would stay again.
Amazing beautiful. Great food and service.
Feels like you are really on a tropical vacation! I love the staff, services, and most especially the view and ambiance of the resort! Though they to improve the food menu for plating and taste. But overall highly recommended! ✨
We absolutely love Mar Del Cabo! we spent a week here last year and loved it so much we decided to return this year. The food at the restaurant at the resort is called Encanto and it’s delicious. You can also visit the restaurants at the resort next to Mar Del Cabo because it’s a sister property and they are also very delicious. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and updated. Trust me and spring for the ocean view room.
A quaint and beautiful hotel right next to the Grand Velas. Perfect setting at the restaurant and there was no better location on the beach as can happen in our experience of larger resorts. Every seat was private and scenic. Attentive beach front service from an overall exceptional hotel staff. Plenty of excursions very close to hotel. The front desk helped us set up everything we wanted to do. We ate one meal next door at the elegant Velas restaurant which was our best meal by far. Construction noise next door was distracting at times, but no noise on Sunday! This was the downside for us. Menu was a little limited but their tacos were incredible. Tip: We finally bought tequila so we had a cheaper drink option.
Location!
This hotel is lovely, small and very boutique. Unfortunately there is large construction immediately next door from the early morning hours till late (after 9 pm). Food is very very good, service is wonderful. Sergio was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had. I’m an avid runner and knowing the streets weren’t an option given the location I had hoped the gym photos were accurate. They were not. There are two treadmills, old, dirty and one broke completely (shorted out) while I was on it. Overall I’d be back assuming construction was done (but based on the status of it - it will be at least a year if not longer). Our friends were staying in the penthouse and did complain about the noise and were given complementary day passes to the all inclusive next door (wish we thought of that).
Size and adults only and the food*****
liked the people
The hotel was quiet and clean and the staff were all exceptional. Have not seen a more friendly group of people
No complaints
This resort is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. If you are looking for that serene environment to relax, book this place and thank me later.
Incredible Experience!
The hotel is about 30 mins ride from the SJD airport. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Janis at the front desk. We were met with drinks and bright smiles. Check in was quick and Antonio Mendoza then escorted us to our room and brought our bags in later. We dined at the restaurant onsite and the food is good. There is a kitchen in the room which is handy. Overall, a great experience. As others have mentioned, there are lots (lots) of stairs but we have no one in our party with mod Ulithi issues. Beautiful property and great service. Thank you!
Clean, comfortable suites with private entrances Attentive and courteous staff Currently, you need to park your rental car one hotel over because they do not have on-site parking
Love this hotel. The grounds are picturesque and the staff is friendly. Only downside while we were there was the construction next door. However, the staff was kind enough to offer us a day pass at their sister hotel which totally made up for the noise. All we wanted was a full day at the pool with the sound of the ocean and they made this happen. Would definitely come back.
Excellent staff, very nice accommodation. Beach-front property and pool very clean.
beautiful and intimate hotel
beautiful and intimate hotel. We purposefully chose a quiet serene place. The place needs a bit of uplifting in restaurant and pool service and ground maintenance, but glad we stayed here.
Beautiful landscapes, updated room, and peaceful quiet atmosphere!
Beautiful location. Very nice hotel.
Beautiful
Everything from start to finish reach our expectations and beyond, property is very clean, service our room twice a day, staff was really friendly, polite and give us great recommendations while ask for them.
Beautiful beyond expectation.
The room was immaculate, service great, staff friendly and helpful. This is a great for the young but daunting if you are old or impaired as there are many stairs. The have a cart that will transport you to the restaurant at sea level but it would be better if there was some other means of transport..
Love the beach front access, the pops of color in the rooms, and the main stairwells are so beautiful.
The pool was very small and no staff attending to it. We were told we could use the property next door but when we went there the lifeguard asked us to leave- very embarrassing
Great Boutique Hotel at a Great Rate
This hotel is a hidden gem and I highly recommend staying there to anyone who is looking for an Outstanding Boutique Hotel. With only around 50 rooms it is quiet with wonderful ocean views and the service is top notch. You can also access the Sister Hotel - Velas Resort - which has a spa, great restaurants and all the amenities you could need. Bottom Line - Great place without the high price. You wont be disappointed!
Cannot say enough good things about the staff. The staff was amazing ! The location is beautiful! Very quiet hotel felt like we had the place to ourselves ! The restaurant on-site has excellent food!
Could not have asked for a better experience! Felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves and everything was so beautiful. Been telling all my friends and can not recomend enough.
We loved this place! Well kept amenities and all the staff were so wonderful. Definitely will be back!!
We stayed at this property a total of five nights and had a great time. Communication with the front desk before arrival and check-in was excellent and our questions answered promptly. The overal service was great, in particular at the restaurant. Chef Mario made some delicious Vega option for us during our stay and the waiters where great, in particular Favian. We recommend the place and are looking forward to go back sometime.
It was a smaller hotel compared to one's near it, that was the bedt part. I didn't like the fact you couldn't go swimming in the ocean.
A beautiful property. parking was free, but not self parking. the layout of the hotel is such that you will do a lot of stair climbing, especially if you are assigned a room in the upper part of the facility.
Mar del Cabo is a stunning boutique hotel!
FANTASTIC LOCATION AND SERVICE Great relaxing and romantic getaway.
Everything here is really pretty, but our shower had no hot water while we were there.
Loved the place very quiet and peaceful for a getaway.
It was quiet. We were not interested in a party place so for us, it was perfect. Staff at the lobby and restaurant were fantastic. AAAAA
This is the best boutique hotel in Cabos. I was little worried about the location since it is far from the main marina area. But it was the best decision we made! This is located in private beach and it is so quite and beautiful. As we checked in, you could hear the sound of wave and we were offered refreshing pink purified water drink even though we arrived pass midnight. The restaurant, the staff, the pool and the beach... we were so happy to stay here. It felt like being in your own villa in Amalfi coast! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who come with older kids or as a romance getaway for couples.

Customer Service Shines at this Great Boutique
Excellent trip to Mar del Cabo in June 2021. The service was excellent. All staff members were very helpful and friendly. In particular Jairo (valet, lobby area) was always very friendly and welcoming and would always bring our car around and cool it down with the AC and give us waters. Gerardo, the manager was also very attentive and introduced himself to us when we were having lunch on the first day. The hotel itself is very nice and doesnt have the mammoth convention center feeling of the all inclusives. It has excellent beach access, a nice pool and great restaurant. The free breakfast was fresh and hit the spot in the mornings. Looking forward to coming back to Mar del Cabo!
Beautiful property. Clean and relaxing!
It was a lovely property. Staff is attentive and nice. It is the perfect romantic getaway hotel.
This small boutique hotel sits amid mammoths, most of which are all-inclusive. This hotel is a gem among these “cruise ships on land.” The staff are friendly and attentive, the food was first rate and better than most restaurants, it was quiet, the beds were most comfortable. Staff made everything so easy from arranging for our transport to and from the airport, hiring a rental car for a day, getting our Covid-19 pre-departure tests. Try this place. You won’t be disappointed unless you prefer a cruise ship!
Peaceful Perfect Getaway
We loved our stay at mar del Cabo. When it was time for us to switch hotels to a big resort, we wanted to cancel and stay for longer here. Tile work is beautiful. Peaceful and romantic, service was awesome. Sure if you want a big resort with club music don’t come here, but why would you?? If they ever renovate and add a hot tub then it will be a perfect 10/10. Will come back.
The staff members are very kind and helpful. Concierges Monica and Paola gave us excellent suggestions, waiters Fabian, Christian and Antonio always delivered our food with a smile and the chef, Julio Cesar, prepared some of the most delicious meals we have ever had. The charm of Mar del Cabo, and the ideal location, made it the perfect place for my husband and me. We will be returning as often as possible.
I love the quaintness of the hotel. I can’t wait to go back
