The hotel was above and beyond satisfactory - our stay was amazing. It is very clean and safe

Very good

Loved breakfast options. Only two issues, internet speed has been improved a lot, but consistency is the problem. No movie channels is the other problem.

Poor internet

I stayed for 5 nights and the internet was very poor and the TV was very old with virtually no entertainment. The meals were also not to the international standards. The hotel is well built and has good interior decor but I was very disappointed with these 3 things internet, food and entertainment

I didnt like the fact that internet was downtime the whole week we attended the conference

Ocean Front Hotel with friendly staff

Clean rooms with Indian Ocean view. This is my fifth stay here and they really improved the breakfast but there is always room to grow. I wanted to book a safari tour but really couldn’t find a staff who can book me a tour. There should be a tour desk at the hotel. The restaurant and front desk staff are always very friendly and that’s one of the reasons I keep coming back to this hotel. Overall very good experience.

If you looking for luxury or clout don’t go here…but if you looking for elegant,class,presidential suit and comfort beyond your wildest imagination go here! Where they talk about 5 star hotel they talk about this! This Hotel is presidential feeling! For some reason I really enjoyed chines food funny part the food was actually good for me as well..went the like 3X already

on arrival i was told that my reservation was for the 19 not the 21 and 22 i asked for them to alter my dates, i was told to go into the internet and rebook via internet i decided to go to the hotel that i use when in Maputo

Gloria stay in maputo

From Checking in, that took about 30 min, the place is never 5 star.......... Breakfast was worst ever. Room is nice and spacious, wifi is non existent in room, only seems to work at reception area.... Veiw from room is spectacular and that's the best part of your stay...

Service is horrible and people are not interseted in providing service. The hotel staff and management is after money. Even if you are dying they will not give you water until you pay for it. Have travelled so much but never seen such a kind of service. Very furstrating.

Need to improve for international tourists. The location is fabulous but need to open up further.

Nice large room with very comfortable bed and beautiful ocean view. Very friendly and helpful staff. No complaints really.

My bathroom had a bad smell. It took two attempts to fix it. Other the that everything was perfect

My room was toilet wasn’t working. I reported to the front desk three times and nothing was done. I had to shout before they offered me a new room. 16 hours with a malfunctioning toilet

Unpleasant checkout experience

Hotel rooms all have a fantastic ocean view . Right next door to a small shopping Centre. Rooms are nice but fixtures are of a low quality and some are already coming loose. Breakfast was ok. Nothing to rave about .Checkout was unpleasant when I was gestured towards another person at the counter quite rudely.

Plumbing of either the toilet or shower is always an issue. The carpets on the floor are full of stains

Reminded me of Hotels in Moscow in the 80's and 90's without the "Babushka's"on every floor. Staff friendly but absolutley untrained in providing an acceptable level of Service for such a Hotel Rate

The shower was malfunctioning, it was not draining properly. The carpet was not clean . The check in was extraordinarily slow. Through no fault of the hotel - I had noisy neighbors. The service at the restaurant ( breakfast ) was excellent though

I was sad about the cleanliness of the room. I opened the bed and had some bugs in the bed. They changed their room but no one came to talk to me.

Great hotel in Maputo

Rooms really spacious, breakfast needs to be improved. The facilities are great, spa is amazing. A very well equipped gym and games room. The Chinese restaurant onsite serves great food. There’s also a casino, movies and shopping mall on the premises. The parking is within the grounds so your vehicle is safe. I always stay there when I’m Maputo.

Staff were very helpful and room was very spacious.

Has what you need and few extras

Was ok. A hotel developed in support by the Chinese. Lots of facilities. Stayed here for one night arriving late and leaving early. Close by the modern side of the Maputo on the beach front with a mall within the same location.

Amazing. But please teach your staff members how to communicate in English. Your guests mostly are English speaking, it makes it a mission to properly communicate.

The hotel is just as beautiful as in the pictures however the breakfast was disappointing with the same food everyday, cubed sausages an only 2 kinds of juice just guava and mango which I don’t like.

Walking distance to seafood restaurant and nearby shopping mall. Breakfast no chinese food.

Very nice and affordable. Great breakfast and rooms were clean and huge. Great view of ocean with good breeze.

Stay in Maputo Gloria hotel

Stay was pleasant with excellent service at the breakfast lounge as well as the Chinese restauarant situated inside the hotel itself. The Chinese restaurant's food is excellent. Could consider correcting the menue as several errors are noted on the menue itself. The faults reported inside the room was acted upon immediately, were corrected immediately.

The kindness of the staff working in all areas of the hotel. Always willing to help. The hotel is sorounded by nice restaurants and other facilities. Very nice place to stay and i recommend it for holidays and business trips

Maputo AFECC Gloria Hotel stay

We were booked from 04/05/2018 - 07/05/2018 and in that stay we were moved three times: First moved from fifth floor because of blocked toilet. Secondly moved from sixth floor - this time due to language barrier from the housekeeping lady we just saw her removing the bedding until a gentleman came to ask us to move to tenth floor, up to now I don't know what was wrong with the bed. Decoration is also a concern, painting workmanship in the rooms is of lower quality with much of the furniture left with white paint spatters and the fire extinguishers were also not user friendly - strictly Chinese This is a nice establishment with spacious rooms and foyer area shows the designer have plans for future alterations. They targeted youth employment I will definitely return in the future

My staying was great loved the hotel very much stuff very friendly, the only thing was not clean is the carpet.

Great Hotel

It was a nice Hotel to stay , very clean and well kept. Nice Gym facilities and pool area. Parking was not so great , it gets full at night . great WiFi too

The hotel was generally well kept. However the towels were improperly dired and had a damp smell

Hi. My name is Koreisha Ramputh. I stayed at the Hotel form 3-6 April 18. room 819. I was on a training and was very satisfied with hotel for the first 2 days. unfortunately the last night was very tarrying for me as there was someone knocking at my door thrice. First at 21:15 pm, then at 23:15 and then again at 00:17 a.m. I was alone and did not answer. I tried to call the reception, but the phone was not working. I called from my cell phone also to the hotel but no one picked up the phone. I told the reception what happened while checking out and was told that they will review the camera and let me know. I would be most grateful if you could view the camera on the5th night and let me have a feedback of who was knocking at my door. Thanking you. Rgds. koreisha.

Incomplete

First of all my room was not the one I booked for but ok then they put coffee no milk or milk no coffee my curtains in the room were broken it took them the whole day to come and fix it.... your restaurant was terrible especially the Chinese one the bar at entrance was not your best.....the spa they do not speak English so they not sure what we want.... the pool area terrible.
