Room was stinky.

The property is very well located, easy to walk everywhere and with shops and restaurants at the doorstep. Clean, comfortable and a very good price, my room was next to the entrance door, I could hear people coming in, but very few and not late at night. No breakfast available and not 24 hours receptionist, but it wasn’t a problem at all.

Great property close to all that is great about Santiago. The staff were great and easy to deal with. The rooms, while compact were well appointed and lovely. Recommend a stay here!

It’s a prime location and a great hostel

Though the rooms are small, they mostly face away from the busy roads and alleys around Plaza de Galicia. The air conditioning functioned very well and the bed was comfortable. The automatic card tap entrance was convenient. Probably best for only one traveler at a time but was an excellent experience.

nice and convenient stay

I loved that it was clean, very comfortable, and in the old city. Great location and easy 10 minute walk to the train station.

Good rest after the Camino

I really enjoyed my rest here after my Camino de Santiago. It was small, but I was solo and didn't need much room. It was facing to the inside so very quiet. It's placed on a small quiet street. A little hard to find, but once you get used to it, no problem. Everywhere is relatively close in Santiago old town.

i like everything perfect location

Is a little difficult to find. And whe is found you will not know what to think. As soon as you are taken to your room you realize how nice the property is. The room is small and very well decorated. Complete with toiletry. Automatic blinds. A very nice place. I recommend it.

Camino

Our flight was delayed and we arrived during the night. There were no issues at all with check in. The room was a large double room and spotless. Buffet breakfast was lovely. The staff were very helpful. We stayed for 5 nights. The location is so central. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Mapoula - a good place to stay in Santiago

I thought the room was well presented and happy with cleanliness. My towels were wet so I left them on the floor to be replaced and the attendant neglected to give me a replacement bathmat. I fully paid in advance for three nights but within the cancellation period realised I only wanted two nights so rang to cancel. I was not impressed a refund was not given in full. The convenience of your accommodation to the center and old City of Santiago was excellent.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood, meaning no club or late night establishments nearby that are noisy! Great for travelers who like to get up early ad fantastic breakfast!

Perfect location. Very nice and comfortable room, with a little refrigerator as a bonus. Quiet area though close to lots of restaurants and shops. Nice treat after walking the Camino!

Hidden Gem

It was a wonderful place to stay, so central and 5 minutes from the Airport bus stop, everything of interest is a few minutes walk away, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and bars, yet is in a quiet lane. Almost no traffic allowed in the old town. The rooms are very modern and scrupulously clean. The receptionist Joana was very friendly and helpful and when giving us a nap of the area highlighted all the places we were interested in going. We will be returning and staying in Mapoula.

Excellent Hotel and staff

I really appreciated the help from the staff. Also, that it was easy to check in and check out. It was quiet and pleasant and close to everything I wanted to see and it was a great price as well.

The staff were very nice, the room was ultra clean , modern , visually pleasing, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Location was perfect in the city.

Great hostel for a stay

Mapoula is a lovely hostel with clean and modern rooms. Check in was a breeze and the person at the desk was very helpful in acquainting me with the city with a map and the website for a free city tour. Breakfast is available and the minibar prices are inexpensive. The location is just inside the old town which was great for me since it was close for me to visit relatives that live in the new town. As a single traveler I felt safe-the front door is locked in the evening-you get a code for the front door and there is a locked door to get into the hallway to access your room. I would stay here again in the future.

The room was smallish, but very nice. It is close to the cathedral, park, and a number of good restaurants. The staff was very friendly. It was a great value.

Perfect stopover after walking 400 km of Camino!

Everything great! Perfect end to walking Camino. Stayed 2 nights here, lovely room, great shower, ideal location near Cathedral, restaurants, cafes and bars, and across the road from the airport bus stop. Great value buffet breakfast. Clothes washed, dried and folded for 7 euros.

Very well located but quiet at night which allowed for a good nights sleep.

Excellent position in the Historic part of the city, Friendly Family run business, meticulously maintained property, overall we could not fault it.

Great location. No need to bring a vehicle but if the traveler has one, there's Public parking (13.6 Euros per day) very close. The hotel is in the old town so vehicles are not allowed.

The new renovated rooms are quite nice

It was good and rooms were nice, it is well situated just a step away from plaza galicia. My only issue is that I had to pay the price of a couple of night even though I didn't need the room for the second night and they didn't want to cancel it (although they agreed to change it for different night date)

Nice location

I stayed for three nights after finishing Camino. The location is excellent close to everything. The only downside for me was other quests’ loud conversations in the corridor (especially after midnight). Other than that, I was quite happy for everything.

Pasamos unos dias estas vacaciones de Semana Santa en este hostal y nos gusto mucho. Aunque es un hostal, sus habitaciones estan renovadas con mucho gusto, su limpieza y su cercania a la Catedral y demas sitios de interes es inmejorable. Tambien destacar el trato del personal que incluso nos obsequio con una cestita con unos huevitos de chocolate felicitandonos las Pascuas.

3 nights in Santiago

Great staff and close to old section of the town. 10 minutes to train station. Free good breakfast.

Good location and quiet

Good location ten minutes walk from the Cathedral. Not the best of welcomes or customer service but all ok. Bathroom was very small. Shower/bathtub quite difficult to get into.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable, well located in old center. Close to restaurants and little shops. Breakfast was very good. Toast croissant, ham cheese, coffee. The only downside was that the Wifi was only working well in lobby & reception.

A little difficult to find the last 2 blocks with Google maps until we got out if the car. Awesome place. Parking 2 minutes away 2 Euros.

Great location, clean & comfy

Noone on reception on arrival + cleaner assisted me but didn't seem happy to do so + provided instructions re keys, security, room equipment etc in rapid Spanish although made clear I didn't understand. no follow up with me when receptionist returned. Not a good welcome. Room was small but clean, comfy + well appointed - fine for a short stay + easy walk to transport + old town sights including. Cathedral

Worst experience of Camino

This hotel was the worst on my whole trip on camino, When you can't get a coffee to breakfast time then you need to say no more. Avoid this place

Great Location

The Mapoula is in a great location. 2 minutes from bars restaurants and 6 or 7 minutes from the cathedral.Its also very handy for the commercial part of town and about 10 minutes from the train station. The room was clean with a comfy bed and a good shower, if a little on the small side. Would definitely stay again..

In the old city

Nice accommodations. Parked at the plaza de Galicia so the car was super close.

A nice little Hotel right in the heart of Santiago. Stayed for just 1 night but pleasant, comfortable and clean.

Final night close to airport bus stop

Moved hotel for our final night in Santiago to be near the airport bus for an early start. This hotel was an excellent choice. It is on the third floor but has a lift. Helpful staff let us leave luggage until check in time. Beautifully designed room, extremely clean, newly refurbished. There is a fridge, quiet a/c, electric shutters, double glazing, good lighting and a beautiful shower room. We had to leave before breakfast, but it looked very attractive. In all, a well placed, well appointed and we'll run establishment providing value for money in pleasant surroundings.

Good, convenient hotel

Good value hotel for a short stay. Slightly odd arrangement with reception on the third floor (but with a lift available) - but not a major issue. Room a little cramped, but it and the facilities were all perfectly adequate. Good continental breakfast.

Typical Spanish building converted into small comfortable rooms. Convenient to the Old quarter of Santiago. Ease of access a plus. Continental breakfast was more than adequate and staff very obliging. Cereals, eggs and toast available too.

Lovely Stay!

After walking the Camino Frances, this little gem was exactly what I was looking for. A family-run hotel/hostel, the staff are friendly, my room was clean (even had a fresh flower in a bud vase), and the breakfast for 4 Euros was satisfying.

Convenient, clean, great breakfast buffet

The entrance is a bit odd because reception is on the 3rd floor. However once upstairs (elevator available) the welcome was warm and we were very pleased with our room.

In The Middle

Great little hotel only a 5 minute stroll to the cathedral. Good continental breakfast. No car parking on site (they are in the middle of the old town) but they validate your car parking if you park in a nearby underground car park which changes the 24 hour charge from 15 Euro per 24 hours to 10. Highly recommended.

This was a very clear, functional, well located hotel. Staff spoke good English & were very helpful. In-house breakfast, good value.

A Camino ending

Excellent small hotel perfect after finishing the Camino Fun neighborhood near bus for airport and good cafes. 5 minutes walk to Catedral and in the most ancient part of Santiago. Simple clean and nice staff

great value at at a great location

We were surprised to find its not really a hotel..more of a pension.Just a bunch of rooms on 2 floors of an apartment building. The room was tiny, barely bigger than the double bed. Our room's only window looked out on an air shaft..and not much air as it had a glass roof. I imagine it would be very hot in summer..no AC. But for our purpose of strolling around this charming city, it was very conveniently located, in the old town, but only 2 blocks from the airport bus.

Mapoula - great location and room for 3!

Stayed in the triple room at Mapoula. Clean room with an en suite bathroom (small but perfectly formed). Terrific location walking distance from all the main places of interest. Super value for money.

Good location but very small room

The hotel has a very convenient location: city center, airport bus - is the last stop and 5 minutes walking. The room is very small but comfortable with hot shower. I will stay there.

スタッフのみなさん、とても親切で、気持ち良い滞在ができました。立地は抜群の便利さでありながら、表通りから一つ路地を入っているので、とても静かです。一つだけ欠点は、隣の音が聞こえる時があります。夜遅くにシャワーを使わなざるを得ない日があったのですが、隣の部屋の人から壁を何度も叩かれてしまいました。お互いに音を出さないように気をつける必要があります。でも、総じて快適ですので、また利用したいと思います。

Alojamiento muy céntrico, cerca de todo.

Muy buenas ubicación, calle peatonal por lo tanto nada de ruido de coches. Hotel bastante bien calidad precio. Desde mi punto de vista las chicas de la limpieza empiezan a trabajar algo temprano y al estar las habitaciones muy juntas pues se oye todo el ruido que hacen al limpiar, mover camas, sillas, etc.

Tivemos um contratempo: a reserva foi feita para 6 pessoas num quarto para 5 pessoas. Prontamente, foi colocada mais uma cama em nosso quarto com o mesmo conforto das demais. Encontramos funcionários simpáticos, prestativos e elegantes. Um verdadeiro acolhimento. Muito obrigada à todos.

Rigtig fint, fine små detaljer der gjorde det helt perfekt til egen stille tid i en pulserende camino by.

Tutto ottimo. Camere comode, pulite e nel pieno centro di Santiago, a pochi minuti dalla cattedrale. Personale sempre cortese e disponibile. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Sicuramente da considerare se si va a vedere Santiago.

Fantastic! The Location of the Hotel in the medieval town of Santiago the Compostela is idéal but also in a quiet street. The Young lady at the reception was very nice and very helpfull. The room was beautiful decorated and very clean. Price quality fantastic!

Sehr gutes Frühstück mit frisch gepressten Orangensaft in bester, zentraler Lage. Komme gerne wieder!

Ottimo hotel, mi sono trovata molto bene con la camera singola, piccola, pulita, bagno pulito con doccia. Pulizie giornaliere. Hotel in piazza Galizia, a pochissimi metri dalla fermata dell'autobus 6a che arriva dall'aeroporto. Costo 1 euro. a 3 minuti a piedi dalla fermata del bus 6a per andare all'aeroporto (costo 1 euro). Colazione buona, non c'è moltissimo, ma buona, sia dolce che salato. Staff gentile, nessun problema. Hotel vicino a tutti i luoghi da visitare, Santiago è una città piccola, la location è ottima. Vicino anche alla parte nuova della città con i negozi e al parco cittadino. Ci tornerei e lo consiglio.
