The grout was dirty in the bathroom, the shower and taps had mould on them, and, I was surprised to see a shower over the bath. Also, I have trouble walking and have a mobility scooter and a walking stick. My poor 76 year old husband had to lift my scooter and our luggage up the stairs to get to the lift to get to our room and the same when we left. Not at all customer friendly. The cost of one night was way overpriced for what we got.

Rooms a little dated but clean, staff for check in was fantastic, area is great .... the balcony is a good bonus walls are thin, you can hear the room upstairs and on the sides, and on the lower level considering the open air club across the hotel, can get noisy ... Overall very happy with the hotel!

No parking available, must pay extra $20 per day; 1 month previous i stayed and overlooked construction so i asked for a corner room in a month and was assured it would be fine, ended up in a middle room with noisy neighbours, no microwave, tiny fridge,no sharp knives, plates or bowls, so cant BYO food. No pool, spas were grimey. Wont be back!

Stayed 2 nights. Had some issues with room, spoke to shift manager and she changed my room. Conveniently located to tram stop snd by the beach. Only disappointment was the outdoor hot tub which is now used as lunge pool. Service was fast and friendly and buffet breaky was yummmy

We arrived at our room, still have dirty linen on the floor. We booked for 4 people only one towel in the bathroom but still we enjoy our stay. Breakfast buffet was good.

Staff are very kind. Always smiling. Polite. Acknowledge you if they pass you in lifts or hall way. Stayed two nights. I didn't realise room got cleaned daily which was a lovely suprise. Only con is that there are around 20 steps from parking garage to the hotel.. As my husband has a disability I feel this should be made obvious on booking. We were offered an alternative option but it may not work for others with more severe disabilities. Also unlocking the doors can be difficult at times and we observed several people struggling to open them correctly (myself included). Rooms clean. Toiletries scents are amazing. Air conditioning works well. Thankyou

Overall very good value for money

The property was in a great location but unfortunately the room was disappointing. It was adequate for a night’s stay but was in desperate need for an upgrade. The check in process was extremely inefficient - we waited forever to get to the front of the building with all the cars waiting, and when we finally managed to get inside the check-in queue was out the door. It took 40 minutes in the queue for a 5 minute check-in. Staff were lovely, but the system clearly needs reviewing. When we got to the room we needed to contact reception and the phone repeatedly rang out. The experience put a damper on our weekend and was enough for us to decide we wouldn’t stay there again.

Buffet was great

Great location to everything. Nice views and room.

Maybe before a new guest checks in you should make sure the. Store which was cleaned is dry. After complaining it took several hours before this was even addressed. Could extract the water just a. Blower . Which was dropped off as we were getting ready. I told no one comes int it the room when we return as they also mentioned to call to grab the heater. 4 hours later we went back and some one had been in the room. Not happy period. Privacy was ignored.

Easy check in and check out. No hassle. Car park could be a little better. But it’s in the busy area so no big deal.

Close to beach and shopping

Excelente ubicacion y excelentes vistas hacia la playa y la ciudad. Nos hospedamos en una king suite piso 21 y nada que reprochar. Buena atencion en el counter, el desayuno buffet es delicioso, el parqueadero es justo al lado. Solo heche de menos un microondas en la habitacion y algo de bebidas de cortesia (agua por lo menos). Fue na excelente estadia.

My new journey

Was having a bad time of it so got myself a room. And I'm so glad I did. Left there feeling a million bucks. I would recommend to friends and family to stay here... i can not say enough about how good my stay here was. Thank you staff.

The tv would cut out after 20 minutes. No reading light in the right side of the bed Shower glass basically held up with silicone

We paid a lot of money and the room had cockroaches, bad customer services . Not coming back

Good location, walking distance to all in surfers paradise. Rooms are basic, but what I expected for the rate. The only problem was our room overlooked Cali beach nightclub and the noise was awful. I wish I had known as I would never have booked there or at least had the option of moving to the other side of the building. If that is what you are going for great, but not good for families.

Very average condition compared to how they have described it they mentioned about pool but it’s not a pool it’s a jacuzzi that doesn’t work properly. I could have stayed somewhere else better for the same price

Disappointing and Deceptive Experience We were highly disappointed with our stay due to several issues that could have been easily avoided with better communication and service. First, the parking fee advertised in the booking confirmation email was $15 per night. Upon arrival, we were informed it had suddenly increased to $20 per night with no prior notice. Second, the property clearly advertised spa facilities, which were mentioned in the confirmation email, on signs in the reception and lobby, and even on level 4 where they were supposedly located. However, when multiple guests, including ourselves, attempted to use the spas, they didn’t seem functional. After much confusion, we went to the lobby for clarification. A staff member dismissively told us the spas had been rebranded as “plunge pools” and directed us to read a sign by the pool entrance. To our surprise, the “sign” was simply a blank laminated paper with the words “plunge pools” on it—no explanation, no apology, and certainly no mention of this change anywhere else. This felt incredibly deceptive, especially since the advertisement acknowledged the pool closure but reassured guests that the spas were available as an alternative. The accommodations themselves left much to be desired. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with one side having a spring that dug into your back, making sleep difficult. The amenities were also lackluster for the price—our room only had a basic kettle and a fridge.

The staff at reception and at the breakfast area were lovey. The room I checked into was absolutely PUTRID DIRTY. Cockroach on floor Extreme dust build up in Ac vents and corners of room Hair on bed sheets Little bed bugs on bed sheets Curtains were covered in stains Lamp shades were disgusting Telephone wasnt working and had dust all over it. The most unclean hotel ive evee seen. I complained and they gave me a different room. The new room was better but still not great. The staff again were lovely and helped me change room's but boy.... those cleaners need to be sacked.

Great stay!

Mantra on View has had a few name changes over the years so is showing its age somewhat. Its not five star but is clean and in a great location which is good because there is no Mini Bar, Restuarant or Room Service. It does have Fox tel which is very few and far between these days. The rooms are spacious and amazing views. Id recommend this for the location but due to lack of facilities, a little high on the cost side.

The only unlike thing for me was the dust i found behind the bed head frame, because i was unable to breath the 1st night, the following morning I told myself I will cleaning and not making video of it as i do feel sorry for the cleaning staff due to pressure time they may have to perform their best. Anyways, I duated off as much as i could as I am short woman size...lol.

The property was safe, secure, clean and the location was excellent. Unfortunately the back of the chair in the room was broken and the safe was not secured to the cabinetry. The room was reasonably quiet but soundproofing of the sliding door could have been improved by either double glazing or improved joinery

Great stay, location was good for what we needed. Only fault would be not having a guest laundry, thought that was a bit odd.

Really good hotel. The best thing is that everything is within walking distance. The only thing I can suggest for improvement is to provide more staff for things like concierge service and to help with booking getting transport etc

Great picturesque views from the balcony, sensational location.

I liked that it was central to everything. I did not like that I did not get what I booked and what was emailed to me that I would get. The first room on level 5 was disgusting with no view whatsoever. We had a view of a construction site and fence, the room was dirty and stunk of cigarettes and the towels had blood on them. I paid $400 for that room that night which was definitely not worth it or what I booked for. After complaining, we were moved to another room on level 11, which was better, but still not the view I was emailed I was going to get. I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

It was convenient

Great location. The furnishings are a bit old, but it’s a nice & comfortable stay.

The room was stinky when we went in, dusty air went, the floor carpet is looking average. And the loud noise from next door was terrible, can’t sleep.

I was so happy with my room with the ocean and city view.. loved it! The only downside was the squeaky bed otherwise the housekeeping staff made up for it.. my room didn't need daily cleaning but they were very happy and obliging when i asked for extra amenities. All stores were of walking distance so it was handy to leave our car parked up for our whole stay. Am definitely staying again! 👌

We loved our stay. Only concern was that it took over an hour to check in- staff were great and apologetic, it was just a long wait to get served and that made for a lot of wasted time on a quick overnight getaway.

The Cali Beach Party Roof next door does not stop all night with dance party music.

Paid for parking. Elevator to the carpark up on level 3 was out of service. Was told to go around the hotel and walk to another building and use elevator in Hijynx hotel. When we walked there, that building was closed and locked. No way to access car unless walking up steep car entry amongst cars.

Plunge pool is not a spa

I got 2 rooms one for my wife and myself, the other for my mother-in-law and both rooms smelt of urine and dirty. The staff were great.

Hotel was within very close and easy walking distance to all the shops, beaches and entertainment.

Good location close to beach and tram stop. Easy check in/check out and ample parking at an extra cost. Buffet breakfast was good. Rooms and beds need a reno. Showers in bathtubs are dangerous! Rooms face a carpark and building site.

Asked for room not near Cali beach club, was right above it. Shower was average at best. Internet on tv didn't work. No pool, spas were freezing (not heated). No lift access to carpark

I was disappointed overall the whole experience was stressful and I felt very limited with facilities on offer. Had issues with the aircon and tv. Not spacious. Very noisy and I felt the balcony was unsafe

The views from the Mantra were amazing sea, city, mountains in the distance and night lights.

It was convenient and there was good parking access.

We were looking forward to having a spa each day of our stay, but found out all 4 spas were broken, not enough water in them, meaning it was just stagnant non circulating water (bath tubs) This made our stay very very disappointing, will not ever stay again.

Everything except the pools was ok , pools very dated, bubbles not working and not heated , disappointing.

Mantra weekend getaway

The back door to the balcony was very hard to open every time it seemed to be stuck closed. The carpark lift was out of order so we had to walk all our luggage up a ramp shared with cars which was dangerous to get to the car. I was told this was a council owned carpark so not really the motels fault but very inconvenient. We returned to our room after a day out but had to wait outside as house keeping were in the room at 3pm. We were given a free room upgrade by management which was wonderful and all the staff were so lovely and great to deal with. Will return again

Spa pools are actually plunge pools that aren't working and had foam in pool. Incorrect advertisement. There was hair in the bathroom in room. Aged style hotel, not as modern as it looks in pictures. Can get a better hotel in the area for same price. Beds uncomfortable. Not a smart TV so limited to tv channels in room. Buffet breakfast was ok. Staff did try and clean up and attend to concerns after complaint but overall was not a great hotel and would not recommend.

The room was neat and tidy, tv did not work but was fixed within the hour, we were woken at 525am by an alarm system. It’s extremely noisy if you’re facing south on a weekend. Breakfast was disappointing, powdered eggs and not much of a variety, definitely not worth $33

Everything wes perfect

The stay was great,staff was so helpful and looked after my needs without any fuss. Upgraded my room for me to have a safe shower. Fantastic breakfast. 👏👏👏👏

Let’s be honest. It’s an OLD hotel that needs work. However for the price I paid per night $200 (when every other hotel was $250+,) the gorgeous view I had, and the location more than made up for it.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip and was quite shocked and concerned by the experience. While the common areas of the hotel are acceptable, the rooms are very outdated and in need of renovation. The biggest issue is that the hotel is located directly opposite a loud outdoor beach bar, which plays drum and bass music past midnight. This made it impossible to sleep. The balcony doors were flimsy and thin, allowing the music to be heard clearly, even from the 18th floor! Breakfast was disappointing—poor-quality ingredients, tasteless, and overpriced at $30. Additionally, while it’s understandable that car parking is charged extra, I encountered a serious issue. When I tried to access my car in the basement parking, I got locked in! I had to find an emergency exit to return to reception, and despite reporting it, the issue wasn’t resolved, and it happened again.

Will be back again for a longer stay

Terrible

Terrible Loud music next door building, until 1am. Friday and Saturday. No notice that this hotel is beside an open top night club.

Was booked for the day before and they wouldn’t change the booking.

While I enjoyed the location, the hallways and rooms could do with some extra attention to detail on the cleaning! My room had tampon wrappers left in the bathroom and on the floor. The hallways didn’t look like they had been vacuumed at all. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Always had a smile

Pretty basic room but was also cheap considering the time of year. Lacks a pool and a fair bit of noise from the rooftop bar next door. Rooms need some updating.

Easily the worst ran hotel I’ve ever stayed at. First reception lied and said they were all booked up and then I went online and booked a room in front of her face. We were only given one key card between multiple people. The wifi isn’t connectable and the music from outside is so loud it sounds as if it is in your room. If I could give negative stars I would. I strongly recommend picking somewhere else to stay
