Convenience to the Ettalong Diggers Club as I needed to attend a NDSS Workshop. Easy walk to the water & shops!
I didn’t expect kitchenette & own laundry. A most enjoyable stay with fabulous views.
Great location
Short stay on the coast
Stayed in 1 bed Deluxe Suite with Pool/ Ocean views. Ocean views were limited to when next to balcony rail. If you are looking for some sun on your balcony, ask for room in the left hand wing of hotel facing the water or a town/ hinterland room at back right hand wing of resort.
Lovely place to stay
Old interior
Great location beautiful motel having a club right next door great customer service
Great location to beach and restaurants, staff friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed our stay . Close to what we needed.
Very well located near beach and shopping area. The only issue was with the sofa bed, it’s definitely not suitable for two adults.
Friendly staff Great location Had a relaxing time Definitely be back
Expedia booking for twin share but was given one King bed, issue remedied but still a slight mix up
Great parking very friendly reception especially Fabio, room very nicexwith pool and ocean view
Easy check in and check out. Not super busy so pretty quiet. Was a good stay.
You will not be disappointed
Amazing stay, staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful, we even had a wedding anniversary card with some drink vouchers which was a nice touch.
The unit that we got was very run down and poorly furnished. It is in dire need of an update. There was not even a lamp and we couldn't really sit on the lounge as it was so badly stained. Not at all worth it for the price that we paid.
The room was clean and spacious. It was helpful having the laundry facilities
The unit 8/9 The balcony -1/0, the reason why it received this negative score. Advertising for a one bedroom suite shows a lovely outside lounge which we planned to use and relax and enjoy reading etc. what we got was a cheap round table and two very cheap armless chairs, very, very cheap deceptive advertising, impossible to relax let along read.
Lovely stay
Great stay! Great location. The internet is not great for those who need it for work.
We had a two bedroom apartment. Walk-in shower in one and shower over spa in the other. Plenty of room for four adults. Close to shops, clubs and pub for food and coffee. Beach across the road. Pool was beautiful. All in all we had a lovely two night stay
Perfect location, pool great, well equipt room with laundry and kitchenette.
Always a great place to stay, Pool is nice and big, location couldn't be better. I had an issue with guy at reception on checkout morning but I later returned and spoke to Michelle who was very friendly and sorted it out, she is an asset to the company. Thanks
Its a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place
Top location , easy undercover parking , friendly staff , carpets could do with a make over .
Really nice place to stay
While this property is in a great location and has good facilities for kids (big pool), the condition of the rooms is a total let down. Very worn out rooms in desperate need of refurbishment.
The property was clean and tidy staff were helpful and very polite, 1 thing that needs to be changed, need to upgrade your tv to suit
Great location, friendly staff and the diggers club next door
Comfortable Stay
Booked a two bedroom suite. Check-in was smooth with friendly staff. The suite was clean and large enough for a 4 night stay. Beds were very comfortable, with nice linen.
Kids loved the swimming pool.
Our kids loved it! Nice pool, beach in front of the hotel, nice restaurants and cafe, big scooter park near by for kids to play.
Great pool and location but rooms need an update
Easy family stay. The rooms are a bit tired but do the job. The location and the pool are fantastic however there don't seem to be enough lifts for the amount of rooms and you can be caught waiting 30 mins for one during busy periods like mealtimes and check out
Apartment was clean and roomy. Everything walking distance shop beach and restaurants. parking at no extra charge. Pool was beautiful
We arrived at reception to check in with 2 adults 2 children at approx 7:15pm for a 4 night stay. No staff in sight. Tried to look for a bell or button on counter to call for assistance, nothing to be found. Hotel / reception appeared to be deserted. A staff member finally came from a closed door behind counter. Greeting was underwhelming to put it mild. Dirty sock left in room as well as other concerns. Requested a different room and paid extra to be moved. The fire / evacuation alarm sounded. I went to the corridor to listen for an announcement for evacuation or lock down instructions. No announcement was made so we followed the very basic fire evacuation procedure that was on the back of the door. With two very frightened young girls we made our way down to reception, considering they had already seen the burnt out building from the balcony of the first room their fears were easily heightened. As we were making our way down, a very brief announcement was finally made that the situation was being investigated. Fire brigade arrived as we exited. During the remainder of our stay we were constantly disappointed with the hygiene, service, and access to basic necessities & equipment. Called reception on other occasions for assistance only to be told that the call had been diverted to a Accor hotline as there were no staff on during after hours contradictory to the information on the welcome to mantra letter proved to us informing that reception was available 24 hours.
Property is in a great position and close to everything you need to have a great stay. We only stayed for one night as a "pit stop" but we were quite happy with the hotel. The reception staff were lovely. The grounds etc were well maintained but the rooms themselves are very tired and a bit "grubby". The bathroom wall tiles are quite old and have mould stains. The lounge in the main area is uncomfortable and grotty. The cushions lean forward so you slip off the front and can't use it to relax. Definitely not value for money.
Not properly washed linen
The hotel was located close to the beach and restaurants. The staff at the front desk were friendly and parking was easy and free. The room wasn’t the cleanest. When we arrived we needed to ask them to change the blanket on the fold out bed as it had a few dirty marks and looked like it hadn’t been washed. The curtains were also quite filthy and the shower curtain was mouldy. The room itself was fine apart from that but it was a bit of a turn off.
Close to the beach. Clean and organised. The only thing that would make it better is to cover the swimming pool. Pergola style. This time was a storm and we couldn't go to the beach nor use the swimming pool. We had to leave one earlier.
Clean and easy access to food
Tired property in need of some improvements, particularly in rooms- carpets, stove, bathrooms. Over priced for condition of property.
Close to club and beach
Our 3 night stay very enjoyable the room was perfect with separate bedroom and living room the close proximity to Club and beach overcame issue of no food on site
The bedding had visible stains, which is highly unhygienic. The air conditioner’s filter was visibly dirty, compromising air quality. The television was outdated, and no programs were accessible, failing to meet basic guest expectations. The internet connection was extremely slow, as evidenced by the attached Google speed test results. Additionally, the toaster was dirty, raising concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. These issues significantly impacted my stay, and I am seeking a full refund
Great location. However, the property requires a major upgrade. The hotel has lost it’s vibe. It’s clear renovation has not been done in a very long time. It doesn’t provide a good value for money.
The property is in excellent location and very suitable for families with children. The swimming pool is an attraction for families with little kids.
My partner and myself had a wonderful time at the Mantra and Ettalong. The staff were amazing, friendly and very professional. Will definitely go back there.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Kids enjoyed the pool and beach walks nearby.
My stay was wonderful. The appointment was great. The access to the pool was so convenient. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff so polite and helpful. They deserve the 5 star rating though the only thing that I suggest is an upgrade on the tv options and the pool not being easier to get into. There is adequate steps. Just one 1 foot step into to pool then an approximately 4 foot drop off. Not suitable for everyone but as I said I loved my stay there regardless of my limitations.
Room had facilities like washer, dryer, microwave and stove.
Overall it was a good stay, however the property is clearly outdated, and was slightly dirty. Great big pool though!
Good stay
Nice property with water view
I didnt really enjoy the tired looking rooms quite nasty honestly
We arrived very late after a long day of driving as there were no other properties within two Hours Dr. due to a football game. The front office manager was just getting ready to go home for the night, but she took great care of us and booked us in a wonderful room with Ocean view. We appreciate her help very much and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
Staff here are amazing. Very polite and extremely helpful. The suites are excellent. Best hotel in the area.
Amazing stay, super comfortable with friendly staff. Great location too
Ettalong Mantra was better than I accepted. They maintained the resort. My family were happy with the accomodation. Excellent view from our hotel room.
Great hotel with all the amenities. Perfect for a short getaway. The only issue is - our room didn't have fly-screens so keeping windows open to let in fresh air proved to be a bit tricky.
Great location, clean and convenient central coast location.
This hotel was an utter disappointment, far from its 4-star claims. The room was filthy—stained walls, mold in the bathroom, and bedding that looked cheap and worn. Beds were uncomfortable, just two singles pushed together. Housekeeping was non-existent, and service was awful, with rude staff dismissing basic requests. The "smart TV" doesn’t work, WiFi was barely functional, and the bathroom was unsafe and poorly lit. The only positive was a clean pool, but that hardly compensates. False advertising, poor maintenance, and terrible service make this place a complete rip-off. Avoid at all costs.
Good location with easy access to all local amenities
Very dirty not happy
Would stay again
Great location. Shame the pool was closed for most of our stay & then the weather too cold to swim, close to the beach. Parking easy, fast lift. Carpet was old & soil in our room. Access to w washing machine & a great iron if you need to do that kind of stuff on your holiday. Could take less clothes, more room for shopping.
I’ve stayed at the mantra before over the year and it’s starting to look tired. Might look for other bacon now.

A coastal break
The combination bath/ shower for the elderly are difficult getting in and out, needs a handle to grab onto for safety
The staff were excellent!
Good location , though the the surroundings a bit run down… close to coffee shops and beach. Overall good experience.
Will definitely be back!
Right across the road from an amazing beach. Easy walk to local cafes and restaurants or you can buy groceries nearby and eat in on your balcony while soaking up the view accompanied by wine from local Firecreek botanical winery
A lot better since the update
Great location within walkable distance to the ferry wharf. Beautiful beach across the road from the hotel.
Quick vacation very easy to get around and food.
First room was unfit, filthy carpet and stunk. Offered me a renovated room which was a lot better but cleanliness still not great
Bit disappointed, booked a pool view room and was looking forward to a swim but pool fenced off under repairs with smell of resin wafting into room. Would not have spent extra for this room of I was aware of this work!
Stayed three nights and found our suite very comfortable. Staff at reception pleasant and happy to meet our needs. Only down side was our door entry tricky, usually needing several attempts with card to open each time. Obviously needing new locks. The dining options at attached Diggers was very handy. Open for breakfast, lunch& dinner.
we loved this place as it's got an amazing pool/water view, plenty of parking available. The rooms were a bit dated, but were well kept.
The property including the room and carpark had a smell which was not pleasant. The carpet in the room was also very dirty and everything generally needed an update. The pool area is nice and great to have diggers next door but thats the only positive comments for this property.
We loved it…the staff were really helpful and friendly, room was clean and well appointed and the pool area was great.
Great stay with a nice facility, swimming pool and local beach. Will be back soon
Clean, good views, quiet, helpful reception, good room setup with amenities
Overall a great sized room and balcony, but the 1980's step-in style spa bath showers need an urgent renovation. Despite a big handrail on the shower wall, clambering in and out felt super dangerous. Would not stay again until the bathrooms are renovated. The other issue is the pool. Lovely pool, but terrible access. Again, it felt dangerous to attempt it. The hotel needs to install an extra step in the kids pool section, and 2 extra steps where you step down into the deeper part. Steps should go the width of the pool, and with handrails at either edge. For older, less mobile people who may wish to swim in the pool, the lack of easy access is a complete turn-off.
An average serviced Apartments. Very busy during my stay the lifts were impossible to use as this was way over crowded and you’d be waiting 10 to 15 minutes to get a lift to your floor.
We chose this place because they said they had a day spa and restaurant… No day spa. No restaurant. Ok for a quick stay maybe over night but that’s about it.
It was a great place for our family to come together and celebrate a special event.
Very Good
good
Close to local shops etc. great views
Clean and comfortable. Easy access to local beach
Excellent customer service
1. Room is old, rust in many areas 2. Carpets in the corners absolutely disgusting, dust thick you can see it's not been cleaned for so long. 3. Was not told about building work going on, paid extra for a balcony which we didn't use Such a disappointment Reception lady was the only thing that gets 5 stars.
Awesome place to stay
Good position
Excellent location and conveniently has Diggers RSL on the bottom floor.
Always a great stay at the Mantra
This is the second time we have stayed at this location. Unit was clean and tidy with ocean and pool views. It is well located in walking distance to numerous cafes and good quality restaurants. Beach is basically across the road and easy access to the adjoining Diggers Club.
The unit is in need of updating, the overall look is very much dated and every second day room service is a MUST to sustain/remain as a top line establishment,
I liked the convenience of the amenities
We enjoyed staying here, sleep was fantastic with comfortable beds and no noise. Wish we stayed longer to explore the town and surrounds more.
Beautiful apartment with amazing views!
Beautiful apartment with massive terrace, with amazing views. Unfortunately it rain so, because there is absolutely no shelter, umbrella, shade cloth...nothing, out on the terrace, we could not sit out there at all. The summer would be just as bad as there is no shelter. One small table and chairs out there. Such a waste of space.
