great place to stay. very clean rooms comfortable bed, helpful staff. Place is centrally located in a walkable neighborhood
Excellent option for staying in a small but comfortable and beautiful hotel in Lima. Excellent area
The hotel offers excellent facilities and a convenient location, making it a great choice for staying in Lima. The service is very good, with staff being friendly and helpful. However, there seems to be a slight issue with understaffing, which occasionally impacts efficiency. Despite this, the overall experience remains positive, and the quality of the amenities and location outweigh this minor drawback.
See above. Convenient quiet location. Great in dining. Room sized well. Bed and pillows very comfortable.
Just an average hotel with a lot to improve
Location was good, Deluxe King room was spacious and comfortable. However the bathroom could have been a lot better. The design made it flood easily after showering and the bath towels were very worn out and thin. Not much amenities in the room, no mini bar either and very thin walls that make it very noisy from the hallways, neighboring rooms and lobby level restaurant. Our interaction with the front desk was disappointing too. Nobody from the hotel staff helps you open the hotel door even if you are struggling with your luggage, they just watch. Also during check out they insisted to charge us in Peruvian currency vs USD and tried to use and exchange rate that would have made the final charge in USD around 15% higher than what we booked, when I raised the issue they admitted they use a higher exchange rate so be aware of that
Muy buen servicio , muy atentos , la cena y desayuno muy rico . Si volvería y es Pet friendly!
Good value for money
It was a pleasant stay.
Great experience
Great location, very clean, service was excellent and all the staff very helpful and friendly
The hotel is clean and served delicious breakfast.
Great price good sized room for people traveling together
Quiet, little and kind team. Rooms are spacious and modern .
The hotel was great. The place is very convenient and walkable. Great value price relation.
Manto
The hotel staff is accommodating and kind! The restaurant next door has amazing food and the manager is fantastic!
This hotel and staff provided exceptional service. I would return again.
Everything was excellent.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are ver clean and comfortable. And lastly, the food and drinks are excellent!
Very attentive staff, wonderful dining options, delicious breakfast, surprisingly spacious rooms
Very confortable bed and shower. Quiet room, private and good location. Great options for food and drinks at property. Front desk could be a little more hospitable.
The service was excellent and above all expectations.
As always excellent and top knotch service!
Small, quaint boutique hotel in great neighborhood. Wonderful staff.
Supervisor Maikel made a difference during my stay.
It is a wonderful, little, boutique property. The staff is extremely friendly and go the extra kilometer in regards to service. From the point of check-in, to checking out, I had a great stay. Maykol, and the rest of the staff are amazing. They made my stay extremely memorable. It's really nice to be on a first name basis with almost everyone in the hotel by the time you check out. The room I had was very nice sized and very comfortable all around. I was on a higher floor, I had a nice sofa and desk. The room is well appointed with a lot of access to outlets in good places. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shades and curtains were very good at blocking out the sun. Also the HVAC system was really nice and worked really well. I know it sounds weird that I mention that but I couldn't tell you how many times I've stayed at a property where it's like a jet engine turning on. Another thing I want to mention are the breakfast in the morning. They're very delicious and have everything available for you and are accommodating in the morning. I am generally not a good morning person and they were all really nice all through the day. I will definitely be returning!!!
Everything was perfect great staff .
Second stay at an MGallery Hotel. They are becoming our favorite. The design, location, and service were all excellent.
Clean, well appointed hotel with helpful friendly staff. Our stay was cut short due to itinerary changes but would definitely recommend and we would love to stay again in the future
Friendly staff and impecable lobby, restaurant, and room. I rarely opt to have breakfast at a hotel, but I would definitely recommend it. Had a great dinner here, as well. Area around the hotel is quiet, with shops and a supermarket within a few minutes walk.
nice hotel and good rooms. Very profesional staff.
One of the Best of San Isidro!
This was the first time I stayed at this property, but have been to Lima many times. I usually stayed at the same hotel, time after time. I decided to shake it up a bit and I AM GLAD I DID! It is a wonderful, little, boutique property. The staff is extremely friendly and go the extra kilometer in regards to service. From the point of check-in, to checking out, I had a great stay. Maykol, Hector, Erik, and the rest of the staff are amazing. The bar and the restaurant are wonderful. One of the best pisco sours in all of Lima. And if you want to be adventurous have Maykol or Erik come up with something for you. Also their food is wonderful in the restaurant and goes really well with all of their pairings. Another thing I want to mention are the breakfast in the morning. They're very delicious and have everything available for y
I am a very frequent traveler, this was one of the worst experiences I have had in a hotel. I stayed for 3 nights, on the last night, my daughter and I went to sleep early since we had to take an early flight back to Miami. We went to sleep at 9.30pm, at 11pm somebody knocked on the door and woke me up, 5 minutes later somebody tried to get into the room. I got up but there was nobody outside the door. At midnight the hotel evacuation alarm went off in the entire hotel, the alarm lasted for at least 5 minutes, the noise was unbearable, an automatic voice telling us to evacuate the building in three different languages during more than 5 minutes, finally it stopped but I could not go back to sleep. We had to wake up at 4 am to go to the airport. When I went to the lobby y told the only person in the reception desk how come they could not control the people going around the corridors in the different floors of the hotel, he admitted that an intoxicated guest had made the alarms go off. I told him I was not going to pay that last night, he said I had to pay. This hotel doesn't have any security in the night shift, and they leave the night shift with only one person, this is a very serious security issue, never coming back to this hotel. Better look for a more consolidated hotel chain rather than going to these newer chains that are trying to save as much operating cost as possible putting at risk their guests
the staff was amazing! We went to Macchu Pichu days before our check in to Manto and they were able to keep our luggage in storage while we were gone. The food was fabulous! the drinks and our bartender was awesome! the service was great which throughout Peru was lacking but not here. We felt right at home!
Victor was very kind during my check in he even brought our bags to the room. The other gentlemen that stood out was Sergio our waiter, he was very kind(I hope I got his name right). Our room was really nice and there was several dining options there. We had the burger at lunch at the hotel restaurant and it was SO good!
I wish would be bottled water available daily for free, not for purchase. Otherwise everything was great. Will stay there again. Definitely comfy.
My flight was delayed for over a day. The hotel team texted to assure me my room would be ready for me and asked if they could help me with anything else. 5 stars for the team. The hotel has been updated and even the smallest room (where I stayed) is bright and comfortable. If you are in Lima for business this is the perfect place to stay. There are also many restaurants that you can walk to, important for me since I don't rent a car.
Small, intimate boutique hotel with 7 floors and good vibe. Staff was amazing and greeted us by name every time we left or entered. They were also very friendly and responsive when we needed anything from them. They told us they would only service the room every three days but without asking they ended up cleaning the room every day. During cleanings they would fold any items we had left on chairs or in common areas. Great, upscale, quiet neighborhood, with central location. Surrounding sites and neighborhoods easily reached in 15-20 minute Uber rides. Grocery store on next block, many restaurants within walking distance in the area like Osaka, Astrid Y Gaston, Hanzo, Primos, etc. The only Lima bar In the worlds top 50, Carnaval, is also very near by. The hotel has a Great bar itself, with inventive drinks and simple yet well presented dishes, we only ordered snacks but they were great. 609 was described on Expedia as king superior room and it was large and spacious. Cozy beds, separate work and sitting areas, safe, large tv, fast/free WIFI, plugs for both western and European hookup, and large bathroom(bathroom did NOT have a door, something to keep in mind if your not comfortable with the person you’re traveling with). Views were less than inspiring but do look down onto the tree lined street. Lobby is pretty and would be a place that we would hang out if we weren’t so busy exploring the city and enjoying cocktails at the bar when we were at the hotel. High recommend, great
Manto hotel
Excellent service, very happy with the location. Will be back
The hotel location is middle of great neighborhood, high class residential area and embassies. Very safe and quiet. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my staying at Manto.
Excellent location and service.
Great hotel as always. Friendly staff. Very well located. Everything is close by yet the location is quiet
We stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip. It is in the San Isidro area which is very nice. It is largely residential but there are a number of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Mira Flores is walkable or an easy Uber ride away (approx $1.50 US). It is a great base to explore if you want something a little quieter. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and very spa-like according to my wife. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to be helpful. The place was spotless and seemed to be cleaned frequently. Unfortunately, as Peru is just reopening and now there is a renewed COVID surge, there were not many people at the hotel. As a result, the restaurant on site had limited hours and was not open for dinner. Previous reviews mentioned how good the restaurant was. It looks great and the menu sounded great but we weren't able to eat there given their hours and our schedule. It was a great place to unwind for a bit before the trip home. I highly recommend staying here!
excellent service, a comfortable place, close to businesses and a safe place.
Nice interior design throughout property. No laundry facilities as it's all a pick-up from room service, which can be confusing based on listing. Shower design is the only real negative point as the half cubicle means the floor gets wet. Breakfast was good but it would've been nice to have more local options. All the staff were very professional and helpful.
Aplus
The best service. Everyone bent over backwards
I love breakfast and the staff ... in general Iblike the hotel.
Very friendly staff and beautiful property! They even consider your request for anything special, for example we were celebrating our anniversary and since I informed them before hand our room had a pretty setup with desert, flowers and card when we checked in. The only thing I would mention is that the restaurant food was not up to the mark... Salty, beef not cooked properly etc. Overall I would recommend the stay in the hotel, not so much the food at the restaurant.
Great customer service, style, comfortable, and location
Love it!!!! It was walking distance to restaurants and a big grocery market
The best hotel during our 10 d trip to Peru. Excellent breakfast with big variety. Very pleasant stay.
Excellent hotel! Stuff very friendly, nice neighborhood .I would definitely come back.
Top hotel in a very nice neighborhood
Great facilities and very clean, comfortable room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very decent neighborhood, supermarket and a number of good quality restaurants a short walk away. Lima city centre and the airport about 20min by taxi, quite convenient.
Loved it
Beautiful, clean room. Spacious. Plenty of hot water. Super friendly and efficient staff.
Remodelation is afecting customers comfort. Noises all the time because of that
The staff was very accommodating contacting us about transport from the airport. Rooms were great and the breakfast was quite good.
This is a nice hotel in Cusco, the staff was helpful. Breakfast is great
Hotel is under remodeling activities, however they manage to maintain the comfort and services up to expectation. Staff is very friendly, great location
Foresta staff are excellent and the rooms are very comfortable
Nice hotel, close to many amenities. Free breakfast was added
Terrific service throughout. We arrived very late and left very early and they took care of everything. The hotel is being remodelled so checkin is a temporary arrangement until its finished later in 2018.
Very helpful staff. Helped us find a gluten free Italian dining option! Thanks so much.
Awesome hotel. I only give 4 stars because they were renovating while we were here but could only imagine this place full capacity.
It was very clean and the staff was outstanding! so friendly!
Has potential
I want to start by saying that every person in the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel has potential but it seems old and a little tired. The rooms are very big, but they show their age. The bathrooms can benefit from a new set of towels and some maintenance (for ex, the tub/shower combo and the sink were not draining very well). The hotel was under renovations, which we did not know at the time of booking. If they can achieve the vision displayed in the lobby and spruce up their rooms, then it can be a very nice hotel.
Nice hotel in a nice area. I was only in Lima for about 36 hours but I had a great room at the Foresta. The bathroom was very modern and everything was clean, they even left a tray of chocolates for when I arrived. Staff was very friendly, and even though they were undergoing construction I didn't hear any noise from it (although I was on the 5th floor). Only a couple of dollars to uber to Miraflores.
Nice hotel. They worked hard to make the experience a good one even though they were under renovations.
Upscale hotel, excellent services.
We were delighted with room service, and the special breakfast layout they provided since we needed a cab at 5 a.m. Most impressive was the embroidered pillow stating that if we didn't like the bed pillows, they would bring us different ones.
There is construction / remodelling so there is no nice lobby but the staff was excellent and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Excellent service and hospitality. Location is safe and near Meraflores.
Excellent safe area and reasonably quiet. Hotel lobby was under construction and the temporary lobby did not really convey a luxury hotel entrance. IThat might have been stated in the add for the room and better yet reflected in the pricing. I can’t comment on the breakfast as we checked out at 4:39 AM. Overall a nice room in a nice area of Lima.
A very comfortable stay
The hotel is very well structured. My room was very big and extremely comfortable. The only thing I missed in my stay was iron equipments. But I am pretty sure that I would have been supplied with them if I had asked the staff. So, no negative aspect of my stay. It was a great experience and I will consider it again if I come back to Lima in the future.
Repair
Good lockstion and staff. Pretty room and condition. But great repair at all hotrl and restoran. You must have a breakfast at techinical room
Great hotel in San Isidrio. Currently under renovation but still had a great experience
Hotel is close to everything
Very nice hotel and friendly staffs . Close to shopping
Wonderful location in San Isidro. The staff is kind and helpful. Room was comfortable and a good breakfast.
Female Travelers - Did Not Feel Safe
My best friend and I celebrated our 30th birthdays in Peru and spent a week traveling all over. Foresta was a strange experience as they were undergoing renovations. The hotel seems a bit dated and musty. As two women traveling, we did feel a bit uncomfortable as we had an issue with staff members abruptly entering our room (this happened three times, within the first several hours of checking in). We stayed one night. We prepaid for our room when we checked in, since we had an early checkout the next day. Upon leaving the hotel, we were hounded by the front door staff for 10 minutes as we tried to leave for the airport in our Uber. We found the staff unprofessional and I would not recommend this hotel as a safe option for female travelers.
Incredible stay
The staff is the most professional and kindest people ever. Everyone was nice and the hotel was impeccable. Also even during construction there were no issues or interruptions
Central locator.
Good service at a cemtal prime location Good breakfast bar
Wonderful hotel with exceptional staff!!!
Hotel was absolutely stunning! In a great location to explore places by foot. Their customer service was wonderful and our every need was met. I will absolutely come back again.
Great location with nice hotel staff.very friendly, spacious room and comfortable beds.
Quality of stay down due to renovation project
The hotel is undergoing renovation but there is no information to that effect on the Hotel.com portal or even at the Foresta’s own website. At least not readily visible. The biggest deficit is the breakfast The biggest noticeable deficit was at the breakfast time. The room is too small to fit all the hotel guests (they have adapted a room). Also the quality of the food has been negatively impacted. It went from a top of its class buffet to a meager “Continental” breakfast and they would usually run out of food items that wouldn’t be replaced.
Cozy, modern hotel
Kind and courteous staff. Spacious Room. Good amenities. Good wi-fi. Shops and a big supermarket near the hotel. The hotel is located in a safe district.
Undiscovered gem
This place is superlative. Spotlessly clean and brand new decor. Very nice neighbor hood with park and shopping close by. Nice Chifa in walking distance. Taxi to Mira Flores is not dear. Management kept me informed of renovations and there was no disturbance. Breakfast is not extensive but fresh and tasty. Staff was super nice. And the chef rustled up a special vegetarian food. Would be nice to have a kettle and tea in the room. Wifi was decent. Price is also very decent.
Short but sweet
The room was very comfortable. The staff did a great job of making our stay as easy as possible.
Nice area, large room sizes, friendly staff, good breakfast, everything you need!
Great experience, room was very clean and brand new.
Currently undergoing renovation.
Located in a nice leaf area it's close to miraflores. It's currently undergoing renovations so the main entrance is shut and so is the dining area. The entrance is now via the service entrance and the concierge is in a room on the 2nd floor with the breakfast area opposite.check in was quick and easy. Staff are friendly. I booked the junior suite but got a large room - room 306 with two queen beds. It does not have a separate seating area and I would not class this as a suite but a large double bed room! The noise was rather deafening during 9-5 whilst the works are being carried out. Requested a room at a higher floor. . Got transferred to 701 which is the suite. I would class this as a suite. They have a basic gym with 3 cardio machines, one multi function station but no weights. Breakfast was basic - continental. Reasonable hotel for the current situation. They should mention the noise when booking and also avoid low level floors.
Nice , clean and upscale
Very nice , clean and staffs are very courteous and helpful . It is located near Olive Garden a upscale neighborhood with diplomatic establishment . There are also good restaurants nearby and the hotel supplies very decent complimentary breakfast . You do need taxi to get here . Be very watchful for taxi service . Some of them are not legitimate even wearing fake red uniform to deceive you . The hotel staffs are very protective for you and making sure no harm comes to you . I certainly will stay here again .
Nice , clean , safe , reasonably priced
Nice, clean , well run hotel at a very nice area . Very safe and convenient neughborhood and the breakfast is good . Staffs are also very professional speak good English . They are also very protective toward taxi drivers who you have to be cautious . We met one wearing red official red jacket and registered badge claiming licensed but took off the jacket right after we got in the car and want us to tell the Airport police that we are his “friends” not customers to avoid Airport fee. The room is also clean and well equipped with microwave and refrigerator and safe . Shower has good pressure and everything work . Only one block from restaurants and near the beautiful Olive Garden where many embassies reside . The price is also very reasonable . I ‘d love to stay here again .
front desk and all staff were very helpful and kin
will definitely come back, excellent location and breakfast
Forests Hotel made Lima's stay a great experience
High quality hotel nested in a high class quite neighborhood. Staffs are helpful & attentive. Foods are delicious & room is well appointed.
Excellent Hotel in Nice Quiet Area
From the pleasant welcome from staff at door and the helpful reception personnel to the cleanliness and overall ambience of the hotel my stay was an enjoyable experience from start to finish which could not be faulted. The welcoming card from the manager hoping that I have an enjoyable stay and the homemade chocolate treats on the table was a lovely additional touch. The large room and bathroom were spotless and very nicely presented and the quiet surroundings made for a relaxing stay. Finally the breakfast was superb with lots of choices and the cooked dishes were nicely done and regularly replenished.
Excellent choice for quiet sleep
At his request, I book this hotel for my partner. It's his favorite hotel in Lima. Very quiet location, comfortable rooms and kind and helpful staff. Much better than the Miraflores area if you're in Lima on business.
Hotel in San Isidro, Lima, Peru
The most notable trait of this hotel is the attitude of the staff, including manager, front desk manager, front desk personnel, doorpersons, restaurant servers and housekeepers. In short, everyone. They are all the epitome of politeness. They always wear a smile. They act as if they can't do enough for you. In short, this is a very, very friendly place. The rooms are functional and totally clean, and the food at the restaurant has improved since our last visit when it was good enough but not as good as it is now. The "lomo saltado" is great, and the squash soup is my favorite. A further positive is that it is located in what is certainly the most beautiful part of the whole city, just two blocks away from the delightfuly Olivar Park (Olive Grove) in an area that seems to be free of all crime and is kept spotlessly clean. One feels totally safe walking the pristine streets. We go to Lima with frequency and always stay at the Foresta. We plan to continue doing so.
Nice but pricey
Nice hotel and good shopping around if that's what you're looking for but not a great location for sight seeing
Nice hotel,
Very friendly staff, helped us with late check out
Sleek, Sophisticated,, Contemporary Hotel
After spending 2 weeks in Peru booking "charming" boutique hotels, I needed to be in a sophisticated, comtemporary hotel and this hotel superceded my requirements. The hotel was immediate in their respones to my requests. They arranged for a taxi from the airport which is about 30 min. drive ( having a hotel arrange taxi will save you a great deal!).. My drive was a scenic tour of Lima. The hotel is located in the upscale area of San Obsidro. I arrived to a hotel, sleek & contemporary on a quiet tree lined street. I was greeted by the hotel staff and within 10 minutes, I was in my suite! Very efficient! Their hospitality was commendable. The suite was huge and modern. A/C unit & heating and my suite was warmed from a cold to comfortable .I was delighted to recieve a personal welcome from the manager with goumet chocolates! The hotel is in a quiet upscale area to stroll around to restarants near by. But I found the hotel restarant to have such good food and service, I had all my meals there!. This hotel is an oasis Sophisticated, Contemporary & sleek with great service.
Modern Hotel That's Got Everything You Need
Foresta is a modern hotel in San Isirdo, Lima that's in a nice neighborhood with some shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are all modern and elegantly designed and the hotel itself has a lot to offer. The breakfast included with your stay is great with a variety of choices and high quality ingredients. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating with anything to make your stay and experience in Lima as enjoyable as possible. Definitely recommend staying at the Foresta hotel.
Nice rooms, fantastic breakfast
Very nice hotel in a clean, safe neighborhood that is pretty quiet at night. The rooms are decent for the price, but really the breakfast here is incredible, with some dishes changed daily to keep it interesting. Definitely recommended.
Quiet attractive location
Good location in quiet and attractive part of San Isidro in close proximity to good restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. This hotel proved to be a pleasant, good value for money and convenient base for me during a one week business visit to Lima.
Great place.
I always pride myself on being able to book the best hotels while traveling internationally. The Foresta was no exception. Super staff. Great location. Safe and upscale. We walked down to the Mira Flores district from the hotel, (It's a couple of miles, but there's a lot to see.)
