Great Experience!!

We loved our stay at Mainstay Suites!!! We were traveling with our 13 year old granddaughter and she LOVED the privacy of the kitchen and pull-out sofa bed being separate from our beds and bathroom. Everyone was super nice!!! The lady in the breakfast area, the guys at the desk and all the maids were extremely nice!!! There was one young black girl, must have been head of housekeeping, (I regret not getting her name.) she had such a welcoming spirit. Always smiling and giving an encouraging word. Even my granddaughters were impressed with this hotel. They asked if I could find another one like this at our next stop. Thanks for a GREAT stay!!!

We had some confusion and someone walked in our room while we were in it BUT this situation was fixed quickly. It was a very busy weekend and everyone was friendly

Smoking in Rooms

Paid a very high rate (Taylor Swift Concert night) to basically just get ready for the concert for 20 minutes. Our room smelled like someone had been smoking in it for days, and there was a chewed up piece of gum on the floor in plain sight in our room. Disappointing because I knew the hotel and all hotels in the area were sold out, so I didn’t bother even trying to switch. We had already spent so much money on the hotel and concert and didn’t want to spend more, so my husband and I took turns sleeping and driving and we drove all the way back to Chattanooga, arriving home at 6am.

Cheapest place. Has stove top, dishwasher, dishes, refrigerator and a microwave. Makes it convenient while taking your children out of town.

Our experience was troublesome. When we first arrived in our room it was bedtime for the kids. We booked a room with 2 queens and 1 pull out couch. We came to find that the couch had no mattress on the bed. We called the front desk to make them aware, after about a half hour on hold, the front desk informed us that they could move us rooms to accommodate. We were not so thrilled about a room change due to the kids already halfway asleep and we have already unpacked our bags, but that was the only way to have a comfortable stay. So at 10:30pm we switched rooms. Our second room was an upgrade and did have a mattress on the pull out couch, but it was very dirty and had wrappers and items underneath that showed there has not been a thorough clean. We decided to set that concern aside and worry about it in the morning. Unfortunately, our night did not end there. While getting around for bed, a big black bug came running across the floor leaving us is disarray. This bug did not die the first, second or third time trying to kill it (that can only give you detail as to what type of bug we encountered). By this time we were calling surrounding hotels to find other rooms to book along with calling front desk again and explaining our frustration. We witnessed the front desk frustrated with his night already and understood staffing issues but this was a problem we were not going to leave under the rug. They ended up re-accommodating us and I spoke with the manager the next morning.

Friendly and convenient

I wish I caught the woman’s name at the desk, she was there at our check in on June 10 @ 4pm, and was very polite, when we had arrived back from an event we came across an issue in our room & she immediately had us taken care of! Very sweet and even though she was super busy every time we seen her, she Always had a smile on her face !

Okay for the price

Didn't seem like an area you would find a hotel in, it snuck up on us. Not a terrible area, but not great. Staff was awesome and friendly. Nice, large room, comfortable beds. Cleanliness was definitely lacking. We checked in at 3 am so I didn't say anything when we got there. I'm no clean freak but I went and got a package of Lysol wipes the next morning to wipe things down. Surfaces were dirty (obvious crumbs on nightstand and sticky spots) stains on mattress protector and bottom of the bed, and floors were dirty. If it were clean, I would give it a 9.

All of the front desk staff were friendly. The hotel was centrally located to all of the downtown activities we had planned so it was easy to come and go.

Nice Stay

Very nice room. Bed was a little uncomfortable but it was all great.

It worked for a one night stay. The breakfast was very disappointing

Our stay was pleasant. The property was well maintained and relatively clean. The staff was responsive, friendly and professional. I personally like that there was no carpet in our room. My only notable issue was regarding the collection of hair, lint and candy wrappers under the beds against the wall ( under the headboards) . My phone slid down to the floor under the headboard. When I retrieved it, I could see that the area had been ignored for quite some time. I checked the other bed and it too had the same issue. All things considered, we were very pleased with our stay.

The staff were fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean!

Could do better in cleaniness (floors in room not cleaned well). Waited a whole day to get TV working properly. Not enough towels in room for 3 people. Bathtubs not slip proof ( we had to place a hand towel in the tub for slip proof). Hotel has potential if comments are considered.

Cincinnati

Check in was a breeze. The building is very up to date and was very inviting. The parking lot was great as well. I enjoyed my stay! It was a quick ride to and from the ballpark.

Very nice staff, room very clean, updated. Great breakfast also! Highly recommend! Will be staying again when in Cincinnati.

The hotel is brand new, but my room smelled like cigarettes. Also the neighborhood is questionable.

Brand new hotel, nice fenced parking area, but it fenced for a reason. I felt a little uneasy in the neighborhood. Also my room smelled like cigarettes.

We had a great stay. The rooms are huge! Pool was nice. Great hot breakfast options. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing was unique, it was basic including breakfast. What I did not like was how thin the walls were, I heard too many people. Also the white comfortable on my bed looked like it was dirty on the underside like it had been stepped on and it was ground in dirt

It was great the pool area was very crowded and the guest were very wild this was the only problem the hotel it self was exceptional. Will use this hotel again but not at spring break time

Every thing was amazing, food, service, check in was a warm welcome the ladies made me feel like family. Information was given right away about the food offered in the area. Now as far as the comfort of the bed 😞 , mattress needs more cushioning. Other guests were very noisy sounding like someone was banging on something. But other than that A+🤗

Great location close to University of Cincinnati and the Zoo. Quiet and clean. Offers a very nice breakfast buffet too!

It was a very nice hotel. Breakfast was awesome, pool was great but the floor in our room was dirty. When you didn't have your shoes on you could feel a lot of dirt and had to brush your feet off before getting into bed.

Overall a great place to stay for the price and location. The shower was a little weird and there was a sticky spot partially under the couch in my room, but everything else was clean and in order

The hotel looks very nice. Front desk check-in person was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, looked good, but not clean. The pull out sofa bed was not clean and was not made with all the linens to sleep (only had a fitted sheet, no top sheet or cover) and the floors were sticky and visibly dirty.

Making sure the room had everything like correct TV remotes and other normal things was not done. Room not well cleaned either. Since it is less than a mile from Christ Hospital makes it great if you have a friend or family member there.

Room was acceptable, but not as clean as it could have been. Water pressure low the first evening. Although staff had promised accommodation for early check-in, were not that helpful upon arrival.

Clise to zoo n downtown

This was a nice and clean place to stay that was close to the college. Very, very nice and helpful staff, trying to do way too much with very little support. Continental breakfast was okay for the value (surprisingly good gravy and biscuits I must say!). The pool could have been a little cleaner (it really needs a going-over), but overall we were very happy with our stay.

Nice large rooms w full fridge and kitchenette. Nice beds, baths and water pressure. Decent breakfast included.

Filthy room, dirty washcloths hanging from the shower bar, wiry black hairs on the bath towels and counters, dirty sticky disgusting floors.

Overall my experience here was OK. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. Check in was easy and the front desk staff were fantastic. I'd give them 5 stars. The lobby was very clean and there's a mini "market" that has drinks and snacks. Upon arrive in my room it "looked" clean. The floor hadn't seemed to be mopped and the towels in the bathroom room weren't folded very nicely. This lead me to wonder if the towels had been changed. I opened one of the towels and it had make up stains all over it. The complementary lotion was almost completely empty. There is a small kitchenette in the room but there were no pots, pans or utensils. The bed was incredibly hard and the pillows were very worn. It can get a little loud because you're in a busy area but the room had black out shades which were great.

The courtesy and hospitality of the attendant, Leslie, was exceptional and the property looked emmaculate. I love the room, I just wish the floors had carpet in the living/sleeping area, it's beneficial for comfort in the cold months.

They stay was nice the rooms were spacious only thing I didn’t like was the power in our room wasn’t working but the manager on duty was so attentive and we gotta extra room free of charge and they free breakfast was pretty awesome I’m daughter loved it I will definitely be returning

They charge you 10 dollars to park in there lot.

Didn't like paying for parking! But I did like that it was very close to my daughters apartment for college.

The room was very dirty,floors looked liked they were cleaned with dirty mop water and smelled the same.Hair in the bathroom sink and wiped on the walls next to bathroom sink and the kitchen counter had food on it by the stove,the road noise was loud all night from cars racing by.Besides the filthy room the rest of our stay was good they had a nice breakfast with a very nice gentleman who did great and the ladies at the front desk were also very nice and informative.The next the manager asked us at breakfast how our room was and I explained to her what was going on and she was not very impressed with her staff and was apologetic for the room and told me to stop by the front desk and she could give me a free night stay but it had to be for a different stay.

Excellent front desk personnel. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was minimal but the area was clean. We didn't like that there is a $10 parking fee to park on the lot. The immediate area looks dismal with lots of foot action.

Left hot, tired, and without coffee.

The temperature in the room was 76 degrees the entire stay. The thermostat on the wall did nothing to adjust the temperature. I could not sleep because I was sweating all night; my hair was literally wet with sweat. I showered this morning and then continued to sweat and be miserably uncomfortable while getting ready. The temperature in the hallway was much cooler and I considered propping the door open just to cool down the room. When I went downstairs to ask about this, no one was at the desk. The breakfast was great this morning but there was no coffee. When I asked about coffee, the lady at the front desk said she was brewing more. I waited 20-30 min but eventually had to leave without coffee.

Great room

Clean and very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have nothing negative to say about our room or our stay.

It was an ok stay. The location was convenient for the purpose of my trip. The room above mine was having a party and I had to call the front desk for complaints. Thanks yo the staff who went to the room, I was able to enjoy some quiet night.

Great stay, great service, great location...

The building and location are beautiful. The neighborhood is interesting, but that did not take away from our experience. We were within minutes driving to any downtown location we wanted to see, and it was extremely easy to get on the interstate to go a little further out for things like Jungle Jim's and the zoo. We stayed in what was advertised as a family room and it was perfect for our family of 5 (comfortably handle 6). The breakfast was great, the service was great, and we enjoyed the pool. We had to ask for extras and bedding for the pullout and were immediately accommodated. Very positive experience!

Clean and new... 20 minute walk to UC...I would not stay out too late at night. its an area that is rejuvenating

Thor is a new facility with a few things that need adjustments. The room door needs to be slammed shut to closed. A grab bar in the elevator was loose. The room was comfortable and well equipped bathroom could use grab bars.

Potential

Room had potential. The room looked like it was under construction. It smelled of cigarettes, the dressers and night stands were covered in cigarette burns. All the vents in the room, including the ac, was dust covered. We had to pay to park in the parking lot. The bulding however was very nice and clean and the staff was great.

Concert overnight

Great hotel conveniently located for our outings. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Basic and unclean

Extraordinarily BASIC. The floors were actually sticky and when the shower overflowed the bathroom floor the bath at was filthy!

There was a blanket shortage, room key shortage, and staff shortage. They tried the best the could and the hotel was new.
