Comfortable room

The only thing we didn’t like was the noise next door from the pub. It was a Saturday night so expected. Was ok for a one night stay to see my Dad

Had a great weekend, facility’s where spotlessly clean, bed couldn’t with a new mattress but apart from that awesome, will definitely book again next time in Port Macquarie

The staff was amazing. They made sure they had the keys in the box so we could get in after hours. And we’re kind enough to book and reserve us a hotel up in Coffs harbor. It was at one of their sister properties, which is amazing as well and thank God they did because every hotel in the harbor was booked. We can’t thank them enough. Highly recommend this place.

The Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn is a budget motel accommodation that deserves a four-star plus rating. The property is well-suited for families, couples, groups and travellers with limited travel funds. This stay is our third time here spread over three years. For our most recent one-night stay, we paid less than A$199 for a premium king-bed room equipped with a sizeable jetted bath tub that could fit two adults and an extra child or a petite adult. With this luxurious amenity coupled with a clean and spacious room, we scored a good-value-for-money accommodation in a beautiful yet highly expensive holiday destination in the mid-north coast in NSW. The property is well positioned in the heart of Port Macquarie; but despite the heavy vehicular traffic in the daytime, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful in the evening. We slept like a log! Foremost, the reception was pretty much simple and straightforward with check-in and check-out formalities. We provided booking details and bob’s your uncle. We received our room key promptly with a friendly smile from the front-desk staff and enjoyed a relaxing spa bath to unwind after a hectic day of sightseeing and high-adrenaline holiday activities. Macquarie Barracks has always delivered the best of everything for us. Thank you very much!

The swimming pool was really nice and only 50 meters to the pub. So a win all round.

good for a one night stay on a long haul drive

Nothing to like or dislike. Reason we chose Macquarie Barracks is that we could have our cat lodging with us for an extra $50 per night. An amount I thought was terribly high but had no choice but to pay. Kind regards

Needs a warning sign of drop from kitchen tiles to carpeted lounge. With 4 beds available then a ensuite is required please. 😊

Extremely helpful, and friendly Receptionist. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It was conveniently located a few minuofrom the Settlement Inn Pub. We would definitely return to this motel.

We stayed as a stop over from Wollongong to Brisbane. Arrived at 1:15 & the room was ready. The lady in charge was very welcoming & friendly. She had checked our booking & as it was prepaid gave us the key & directions to our room. We mentioned the Tavern nearby & she handed us a menu & said it was very popular. The weather was cool & windy so the everse cycle air con kept us comfortable. The bed was also comfortable & we slept well. Shower was good & shampoo/conditioner/ body was was on tap. It was perfect for our overnight stay. Thanks :)

The property is in a good location easy parking Staff are pleasant and helpful. Specifically the room in the ground level where we stayed is not appreciate for quest to stay in. There is a large tank attached to the wall, whatever it is it raises anxiety.

A bit small in our room. The advertised picture was photoshopped or angled well when being taken. I think my expectations may have been a bit higher.

I have stayed in this motor inn many times & has generally been food. W This time was disappointing as there was only one bath towel in the toom. I had to ask reception for Tor it. Also ,in the morning the cleaning staff tried to enter into my room thinking that I had left. Perhaps knock on the four first & announce that you are housekeeping !!

I arrived very very late – after midnight and the process of checking in was very simple and easy. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I had a wonderful sleep and was able to get going again very early in the morning. Thank you so much.

One night dtay. Able to check in as lste as six or 7pm. ( weeknights only) Shower was wonderful. Lots of hot water. Bed was comfortable. Would have liked proper cutlery, and water glasses and a jug to fill the kettle as it does not fit under the tap in bathroom. But appreciated that there was a microwave.

Reasonably quiet for a main road and close to town. Handy little kitchen, it would have been nice to have clean towels for our second day. Lovely receptionist and efficient

We took the advice of the reception and went to the Settlers Inn for dinner. Really good! The room was basic but warm and comfortable it was just the shower, that was not clean enough ,but overall good.

Lovely staff, fast check-in and check-out, clean comfortable room with good parking and easy access. We ate dinner at Settlers Inn (two doors up) which was great too. I'd recommend staying here to anyone.

Overnight stay at Port Macquarie

An overnight stay whilst travelling to Queensland. Bed was very comfortable - no complaints - perhaps looking a little tired but nothing much to complain about for an overnight stay.

I love staying at the Barracks and I do regularly for work. Always fantastic rooms, soundproof, amazingly comfortable and staff are always happy to help.

Our recent stay at this motel was an absolute pleasure, providing us with a luxurious hotel experience at the cost of a hostel. The cleanliness of the establishment was outstanding, easily surpassing our expectations and rivaling that of more expensive accommodations. Moreover, the motel was exceptionally well-equipped. It's a perfect choice for couples or any two travelers looking for a high-quality, budget-friendly option.

No one answer the email when asked how to activate the wifi.

Good that after hours check in was available but it wasn’t explained that there was a QR code on the back of the key where you would find hotel details and wifi password so I couldn’t connect to wifi and had no idea of hotel information. Room was nice and clean. Limited services available but still pleasant

Very comfortable, clean property. Very spacious room. Ceiling fan could have done with a dust, but everything else lovely and clean. Fridge needed a defrost.
