The staff was the highlight of M17… they were so kind and VERY helpful! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Like most rooms in Athens, it is tucked in a building among other businesses so we went to address and saw the door (which is locked and monitored for added safety) you are sent a code for door. M17 was in a bustling part of the city with lots of tourists, which was great! Rooms were quiet and had sitting area and kitchenette. Water pressure was great, lovely bathroom. Everything was modern and clean! We loved the staff, even housekeepers were friendly and helpful!

Great location at heart of Athens. Walkable distance to major attractions. One downside, it’s VERY loud during weekends (Friday and Saturdays), up to 4am. The staff provides earplugs which are definitely helpful but you can still faintly hear the noise outside. Highly recommend for other days though.

We booked this hotel for ourselves and another couple. The rooms were clean, spacious, beds very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. Our friend’s room was 2 rooms back from the street and they had no problems. Our room was right at the street with windows on 2 sides. The street noise was significant as there were bars outside our room and even with ear plugs that the hotel provided sleeping was a problem. We did move part way through our stay and they were kind enough to give us a refund for the unused nights. It was in a good location for being close to Athens attractions, but if you chose to stay here you want to ask for a room off of the street. Or you may want to book a more expensive room in the building.

I like the convenient location. Short walking distance to restaurants, market, stores, metro station to the airport, tour bus stop point...... However, this place's surroundibg is super noisy, you can hear people on the streets loudly talking,laughing and music, drum until 5am everyday. It only quiet for 2 hours and start getting noisy again from 7am everyday. The bathroom vanity has serious slow drain problem which make it nonfunction basically. So we use the mini kitchen sink for teeth brushing and etc. The shower has been designed NO door so water splashed everywhere.

The hotel is very close to the Monastiraki metro station. Monastiraki is full of dining, entertainment and sightseeing. My room was very clean, the hotel has an elevator, the room I had was more like a studio apartment. Great place.

Hidden gem in heart of Athens

Awesome place and location. You couldn’t be closer to things. The hosts are wonderful and are quick to respond. You will see comments about noise but you are in the middle or if all so if you want quiet stay by the airport. The place is new, fresh and modern.

M17 Suites is ideally located in the heart of Athens, with easy access to local attractions, dining, and public transportation (Monastiraki Metro Station, easy access to and from Athens airport). The area is vibrant, and there’s plenty to see and do within walking distance. However, while the location is fantastic, the soundproofing leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, the noise from the street and neighboring apartments was quite disruptive, especially at night. Additionally, the room was bright at night, making it difficult to sleep without some sort of eye mask or blackout curtains. Despite the charm and convenience of the location, the lack of soundproofing and the brightness made it challenging to get a good night’s sleep. If noise and light aren’t issues for you, this place might be a great fit. But if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to consider other options. Or bring an eye mask and some ear plugs.

This location was in the heart of the city! Super walkable and easy to get to everything. The hotel room was very spacious and nice. They left us a note with ear plugs, which was great! The one downside was there were no curtains to blockout the lights. The room was so bright all night long, so we barely got any sleep. Other than that, it was a great location to stay in.

Great location, very nice hotel

Great location, very nice hotel. It is one block from the train station, the Hop-on/Hop-off bus, and busy squares with lots of restaurants AND a view of the Acropolis. Location is just perfect. Very clean. Rooms were totally quiet - no street or neighbor noise. Owners were very responsive and graciously accommodated our early arrival. AC worked great on some hot days! Only very small quibbles - the mattresses are very firm - more like a futon, which is common in Europe and less so for Americans. Kitchen has minimal dishes - would upgrade the mugs and add a few utensils.

Staff went over and beyond...restaurant recommendations, taxi service...made everything extra special!

Sadly I cannot recommend this property. At first, we thought everything was wonderful due to the proximity to the metro, excellent communication with the owner, and impressive amenities. However, we realized our first night that everything in this area stays open until 3-4am, and it is unbearably loud, even with earplugs. There are no words to describe how loud it was! The lights outside were also so bright that it always looked like daytime. Between the noise and light, we were only ever able to get about two hours of sleep, because the morning deliveries started at 5am. We were here for a week, and we were miserable and incredibly sleep deprived. There is also no soundproofing between rooms, so we could hear every sound our neighbors made in bed on the opposite wall. For those who value sleep, I would recommend staying in a different neighborhood.

Great place to stay in the perfect location!

The staff were amazing and very helpful. We’re lucky that the previous guests checked out early and the wonderful staff accommodated us for early check-in. They are super nice! The room is spacious and clean and has fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker and utensils. The area is close to tourist spots and there are plenty of good shops and restaurants close by. The streets may not look clean but we felt safe walking around. It gets busy at night with young crowds. We would recommend this place to anyone and we’ll definitely stay here again.

The staff here was amazing. Very helpful, communicated greatly. Would love to stay here again if I ever go back to Athens. Very close to Acropolis and many restaurants. Great location. It was safe and tremendous staff once again.

The street in that area were a bit dirty

The location of this property was great as it was close to the liveliness in Athens. With that being said, you can hear the noise from the street at night but we were able to sleep through it pretty easily and it did not bother us. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive and the place was super cute, clean and comfortable.

Modern, cozy apartment very close to the metro and to major attractions in Athens. The only thing we didn’t like was their false advertisement about the bed size. We booked a triple room with (supposed to be) king bed but when we arrived it was only a full size bed. A little frustrating for big and tall people like us!

Our stay was wonderful!! The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. The rooms were gorgeous and in the perfect area of Athens. If we come back we will be staying at M17 again!!! I cannot recommend them enough.

The place is great, staff are great, but you have to be aware the street it is on is very loud at all times. At night, there are a few bars, so drunk people screaming , motorcycles and other noises are commonplace

The room was very clean, very close to the metro station and 15 min walk to acropole, we had even coffe, and ioanna from the reception was very helpfull and nice.

Stylish but super noisy

Beautiful and stylish place with great service but would never book again. Its so noisy as the room was in front of bars that you cant sleep. When you finally fall asleep at 3 am you wake up at 6 as the window covers are not dark but some see trough fabric

This is a great place right in the heart of Athens, close to the Parthenon and Monastirak Square. It’s full of restaurants and pubs, a few meters from the subway station. Room is spacious, super clean and hosts are amazing.

The room and instructions on how to enter the building was communicated wonderfully! I was aware this was in the heart of a noisy area but it was just noisier than anticipated. More of a personal preference. The location is convenient to shopping, eating and attractions.

Our stay was amazing at M17 studios and suites. The staff was super accommodating, very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and spacious, perfect for 3 of us. The area surrounding the hotel is very nice and central. You are quite literally in the heart of Athens like they say. It was in a busy area so there was some noise but nothing too worrisome. Getting to the accommodation was super easy via the metro. I highly recommend staying here if you want to be treated as family and you want to be near Athens most famous sites.

Very large and clean apartment with a very central location. Only downside (not the owner’s fault) is the noise coming from the other room (baby was crying) and outside. You might not get a great night sleep.

It was amazing. The attention and kindness of Ioanna was great. She waited for us to check in, even though it was very late when we got there. The apartment is beautiful and very modern, the area is very hipster with a lot of restaurants and bars around. We definitely recommend staying here. Merci Ioanna !

The management was very attentive and quick to help me when I lost my room card! I loved having coffee provided. We needed an extra blanket and found it in storage closet.

Very convenient location. Close to lots of restaurants. Walking distance from metro. Very new, clean and very spacious room. Cookies from the host are a nice touch! Take note though that the noise level from downstairs (restaurant/ bars crowd on weekends) can be a problem for light sleepers.

We have just returned from Athens. We stayed at M17 for 6 nights (me, my husband and our 4 year old). Staff were all very friendly and communication was excellent. Nothing was a problem if we had any questions and Ioanna was available at any point via WhatsApp too. We liked the little extra special things they did such as leave treats by the entrance and outside our door. The staff made us feel safe and at home. The apartment was very clean. Monastiraki square was about 1-2 minutes walk away which was perfect for shopping, transport and restaurants. We were able to get the bus, train/metro when needed, however everything is within walking distance from the apartment to the main attractions. We already knew from the reviews that the noise from the streets could be an issue. I asked Ioanna for a quieter room away from the main street and this was no problem (we stayed in room 7). We did however still hear noise from the club outside so we did get woken up some nights. We did sleep very well in the comfortable beds most nights though and used ear plugs. I would give the property a 9 out of 10. The only let down was the noise from outside.

Renovated, gorgeous, and in city center!

What a great hotel! Recently renovated. Perfect location 4 minutes walk to central square and train station. I read a lot of reviews that said it was noisy my family and I didn’t hear anything could be cause it’s off season (March). The check in is contactless but the owners are available at anytime. We got the cutest bag of welcome treats and delicious freshly baked cookies. Book now.

The host was wonderful! Ioanna messaged promptly before we got there and was very helpful while we were there. She let us check in early. These are more like apartments w/o a front desk. Not a traditional hotel. Great central location even though it looks a little sketchy right outside, it was safe. Very close to walk to Monastiraki and lots of sites. Definitely don't bring a car. It's faster to walk and parking is difficult. Beds were comfortable and clean, nice bathroom.

SO easy to check in! Best location, in the middle of everything. Gorgeous, huge space, everything you need. Immediately upon walking in I already knew I'd be back and plan to return here on my next trip through Athens. Could not recommend more; home away from home!

Street very noisy, poor sound insulation, hard to sleep

Excellent location—walking distance to main sites, 1 block to metro station, very safe neighbourhood. Clean, spacious, utilitarian room. Attentive service by owner Ioanna—readily available by email/message outside of regular hours. Could be a bit noisy from bar/club activity in the area until around 3 am, but that is the trade-off for great location (bring ear plugs and sleeping mask if this would bother you). Would highly recommend.

Our original room was street side and noisy but Ioanna quickly addressed our concerns and changed our room. Communication was awesome. I highly recommend staying here but would request a room away from the Main Street.

Stayed here for four nights. The staff was wonderful. Gave us information on how to check in a few days before that was very convenient. Got there at 3 in the morning and had no problems checking in. Close to shopping and dining. Very safe location. Make sure to bring earplugs.

Only stayed here 1 night & wish we could of stayed longer! Such a cute apartment in the heart of psiri, plent of restaurants, bars, and shopping near by. Right near the metro as well. The apartment is extremely clean, and offer great wifi service. Highly recommend!
