place is somewhat hidden ,but is safe.very clean.staff was very friendly and helpfull in giving info as far as tours were concerned.. and helped in arranging tours. was picked up at hotels doors for all tours.Do recommend this hotel
Great stay overall!
Very nice & clean room. The staffs are friendly and helpful with tours. Great location in the Old Quarter, east walking distance to shops, restaurants & the nightmarket. Would totally recommend it!
Good hotel - starting to get tired
We got a free upgrade to a family room because they had run out of the smaller rooms that we booked. The room was big and nice and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit old and tired and needs updating (soap dispenser falling off the wall, and shower holder doesn't point the shower at you properly, so have to hold it). Still, not a bad place if you get a decent rate.
Nice hotel, close to lots of restaurants
Stayed 3 nights, one room was very larger with a good bathroom, but the other room had a shower on the wall which wet the toilet etc when it was used.
Friendly staff and well run. we missed two of the three nights booked due to our visa but the hotel was obliging and let us stay three nights from arrival, which they did not have to do. We found multiple cockroaches in our room on the first night and the bathroom floods as there is no seal between the bath and the wall. We also found it odd the key must be given to reception when leaving the hotel at any time. Mixed experience but comfortable room.
It's no wonder that this hotel has had numerous Tripadvisor excellence awards, an incredible value hotel the price of a packet of cigarettes in most European countries. Central location, clean room, lift WIFI, friendly English speaking staff, and everything you could want. This was good, as others staying at this hotel will find out.
This is my second time staying at Luxury Hotel for the following reasons: 1) It is in a quiet neighborhood (located away from the main road); it's in a side street 2) customer service - the staff was very helpful and friendly; they speak english 3) the rooms are clean - room service everyday 4) amenities comes with good wi-fi; rooms also have a desk, cable tv, 5) room has a window with view (rooms are bright, unlike some hotels that you pay with same price that has no windows!!) 6) reasonable price for a nice spacious room 7) It is also conveniently located near many restaurants, convenience stores and shopping places ; near the cathedral
Nice hotel, good location but at end small alley
All was fine. Restaurant is two flights of stairs above the last floor of the elevator and not air conditioned. That and being situation at the end of a small alley are the only down sides.
The luxury hotel isn't luxury, but it's a good value for the money. I booked day-of and they set me up with a pick up from the airport (extra fee). My flight was delayed and I didn't land until after 1am, but there wasn't a problem still getting my ride and checking in, which was great of them as I was traveling alone and really just wanted to get to bed! They even upgraded me to their deluxe room, which was very spacious and clean. However, I was on the top floor and there sounded to be critters running around on top of my head (on the roof? Attic?). Again, the room was solid, but just worth noting.
Good value for money hotel to sleep in.
It's a good hotel to stay in.. fro the price we paid, we are more than happy to leave a generous tip for the breakfast staff. However the noise from the hotel staff shouting between floors along the stairwell isn't good practice! It must be address by management. It's not an amusement park and excessive noise causes unpleasant ambience for paying guest. Secondly, anti-noise paddings should be fitted to their furniture to avoid transmission of noise between floors.. some guests drags chairs and tables across their rooms without considerations to people staying below. Other than that I would certainly return to the same hotel if I revisit Hanoi.
Nice place
Very nice people and very helpful. Bed a little hard and small TV but ok.
Great staff working there, very helpful
Luxury is in the process of making
The hotel is situatet in the old quarter but in a more quiet street/backstreet. So no noise of all the bars and the trouble of the known crazy old quarters. The welcome at the hotel is warm but also too much vendor like. Bevor seing the room we were asked if we wanted to book tickets for bus or visit. Its clear, its a service but first the room right? The room is spacious and well furnitured. The bed was confortable and the bath cleaned. The top roof breakfast is a nice change from the crouded streets. The room is "added" in a very cheap building way. Well the view is nice but it should be more of a build.room than a wooden/metal box. Luxury is something else. For the food itself, the choice is limited, not everything was available but what you get is good and made with love by the staff (1person) so bring some time with you. Staff is goodp, sometimes even too helpfull for my taste. Can get a bit noisi from reception if you get room nb 201. Good price/value Space for improvement on the luxury name. Stayed there 2 nights and were happy.
Great hotel
Excellent staff great room great price will stay there again
Define luxury?
Okay stay, wouldn't necessarily recommend. Staff were fine barring one knob accosting us trying to sell his expensive tour when all we wanted was info on bus tickets and to go out! Probably can find somewhere similar priced in a better location with better rooms.
One night stay at luxury hotel
I am really sad when I saw the entrance. I am even sadder to see the room. I don't think is 3 stars hotel. Luckily I only book for one night. I book 3 rooms and out of the 3, only 1 is working well. The room was clean but not the blanket. Luckily one of the male staff help us to change one of the room but aircon also not strong. The male staff in the evening is more accomodative than the lady in the morning. The western breakfast is terrible. Very oily. Overall, better pay a little bit more to get something more comfortable than seeing the review which is not true at all.
hard to leave!
great location, good staff, great view on the 7th floor. I even spilled motor oil all over a chair which would be an opportunity for a hotel to gouge someone but their damage charge was very reasonable to me.
Good hotel
Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff, good location for the old quarter of town.
Friendly hotel in central location
Our stay at The Luxury Hotel was a very enjoyable and comfortable experience. The room was clean and provided everything we needed for a stay in Hanoi. The reception staff were great and check in was very smooth. They provided maps of the local area and pointed out key attractions and the best resteraunts to sample local food. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us each morning and we could choose from a number of dishes and drinks - the food was delicious!! Upon arrival at the hotel we spoke about booking a trip to Ha Long Bay with the hotal manager David - he ran us through the options and we booked a 3 day 2 night cruise trip around the bay. The trip was excellent and very reasonable for the level of service we received from the hotel and tour company. We paid the same price as was offered by the many booking agents around Hanoi but had door to door transfers included which was very welcome in such a busy city and added a very personal touch to the whole experience. Due to sudden changes in our trip itinerary we booked a further 2 nights at The Luxury Hotel after having to cancel another trip we had booked. The hotel staff were excellent and went beyond the call of duty in helping us reschedule flights and sort out airport transfers. We would've been lost without them!
A good value for the money.
Once we found the hotel, it was good. It's located on a small alley. The staff was great, the building is old but in pretty good condition. Large room.
Good budget hotel in the centre.
Luxury it isn't, basic and affordable it is for travellers on a budget. The location is central and the rooms are clean and tidy tidy. Breakfast was also included which was a good bonus for the overall cost. Staff are friendly and welcoming.
Great hotel, excellent staff
Excellent hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and helped us with everything from getting a great tour to Ha Long Bay, letting us check in early in the middle of the night, greeting and remembering us so we always felt welcome and we even got to share dinner with them one night! Never before have I met so welcoming staff. The room itself had everything as advertised and you'd expect from a hotel in this price range, although a little larger than average. The location is a little south of the Old Quarter, but everything is within walking distance, I preferred this to living in the middle of it.
Decent budget hotel
Reasonable hotel - good central location, clean rooms, nice staff. The only thing that can be improved is somewhat poor breakfast. The property is tucked away in little alley so your taxi/cyclo driver might have hard time finding it. Overall good value and nice stay.
good start in Hanoi
The hotel is a bit hard to find, in an alley on pho phu Doan but the location is great as you live in a real vietnamese district, without the usual touristic price treatment but not far from the touristic interesting spots. We paid 45USD for three nights which was ok given the prices in Hanoi, and the staff is nice even if they've repetedly tried to get us into that full included Halong bay tour, which I reckon are too expensive for what it is. DO not even try the breakfast proposed, it is awfully bad. Except all that, the rooms are serviced everyday and the AC is powerful.
Excellent place to stay!
Very comfortable hotel, very reasonable price. Staff knowledgeable on sites around Hanoi, helpful with booking tours and arranging transportation. Free wi-fi, also two computers available for guest use.
Amazing staff, beautiful hotel
Lovely place to stay. While you may find cheaper accommodation within Hanoi, if you want a comfortable bed, clean sheets, a soft pillow, air con that actually works, a HOT shower with great pressure and staff that are genuinely helpful and fluent in English... then it's worth forking out a little extra per night. We travelled through Vietnam for two months and while this was a few dollars more than anywhere else we stayed, it was MILES nicer. We had no issues while staying here, didn't have to lug our bags up 6 flights of stairs (they have an elevator would you believe it!) and had a wonderful breakfast each morning. All this in the centre of town, only a few blocks from the lake and museums.
Central to the old quarter
Quiet, despite it being well l near the old quarter. The staff were helpful and attentive, especially the girl running the desk. We booked our trips from here which worked out well but we made the mistake of booking our train tickets here instead of at the station. The commission was way too high! Don't let this put you off. It's a great little hotel and great value for money.
Nice hotel close to Hoan Kiem lake.
This hotel was surprisingly cheap and cheerful. Clean room with small bathroom. Air conditioning, fridge and television. We initially booked a two night stay before booking another third night and they matched the internet price we had originally booked. We went to Ha Long bay for 3 days and booked back into the hotel on are return as we felt it was a safe bet. Took shuttle bus from airport and it dropped us off at Vietnam Airlines office. Driver pointed us in right direction. Pros. Central location, in quiet side street. Cheap accommodation. Friendly staff. Wifi. (Not strong signal, had to stay close to router) cheap quick laundry service. Cons. Poor breakfast selection. Felt pressured by staff to buy into their tours but a polite no sorted it. There was a Canadian couple staying who seemed to complain about everything which I felt for the price was unjustified.
Good quality hotel conveniently situated
Very pleased with my choice of this hotel, very clean, with excellent staff
na
na the hotel was clean, however they don't keep your posessions in a safe, its in a cupboard
Excellent Value
I'e been travelling with my girlfriend for 7 months now and I have to say that luxury hotel is in the top 3 places we've stayed. For what you pay it is staggering how good it is. Most budget hotels weve stayed in dont even bother to clean your room or replace essentials but the cleaners here made sure our room was spotless and well stocked daily. We paid $12 a night for a double room and even got a breakfast thrown in. Above average for the standard ive had compared to other budget hotels in Asia. The location is spot on too. Cannot recommend enough!
A real gem of a find in Hanoi !
Everyone in the hotel is exceptionally warm and friendly, and very helpful for anything you need. When I return to Hanoi at end of the month I'm going back, I would not hesitate to recommend the Luxury Hotel to everyone. The rooms are large, cleaned every day, fresh towels, soap etc. They look after you really well. Breakfast was very good too on the top floor with some views, and the cook does a great breakfast...even let me try her special Vietnamese coffee ! Thank you !! If I get back to Vietnam another time, then in Hanoi, I would always come back here. This is a real gem of a find....I had worried about what hotels are like in Hanoi...but I got very lucky with this one....great!
Not much 'Luxury'
First impressions were good. We were upgraded to a family room which was nice. However, the TV did not work. We requested that it be changed or fixed however it was not until the next day when I reminded the staff that someone came into look at it. For over an hour a member of staff tried to fix the TV but to no avail. We were told there was nothing they could do. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind but there was heavy rain and we had no choice but to stay in the room. The bath tub was not attached to to the wall and felt as though it would break when you stood in it to take a shower. The room was not cleaned once in our 3 day stay. When we asked for it to be cleaned at 11am on our way out were told it was 'lunch and relaxing time' by the manager. We thought this was unacceptable. A hotel needs to clean rooms regardless if it interrupts the staff's leisure time. Ridiculous. In general the staff don't too clued up in how to run a hotel. More often than not it was about their own convenience rather that that of the guest. Don't raise your expectations for 'Luxury Hotel'.
Value for money in heart of Hanoi
Good value for money option in a quiet side street near the lake and Food Street. Staff were helpful and allowed me to check in very early free of charge.
My home~
Très bien
Rien à signaler très bien
Fantastisk personale
Virkelig venligt og hjælpende personale og hotellet ligger i det gamle kvarter tæt på lækre madsteder. Værelset var lidt slidt, men rent og med fungerende AC. Perfekt til to overnatninger.
Nice Hotel, good location
In The City Center of Hanoi. You can resch a lot of sights in leas minutes. The staff is Really friendly. Roms Are very clean and calm
Hotel charmant propre silencieux
hanoi luxury hotel
