This place was really awesome. Only negative it's on a busy touristy street so you will hear music from local pubs close to midnight (and I had one friday night that it lasted until 2am).

Too old and noisy

It was a really cute little place with fantastic rooms. Nice Bathroom, Centrally located walk Balta everywhere. Staff was very kind!! Breakfast choices not that great, but you don’t starve :)

The place is central to Ubud. Everything worth mentioning in Ubud is within pleasant walking distance. Friendly staff.

Good location in the shopping area and lots of restaurants. Our room door can’t fully close, so we paid extra for the upgrade to the room by the pool. The hotel insisted on Cash payment. Beautiful courtyard but lots of mosquitoes. My husband had diarrhea for two days after having the hotel breakfast, probably due to the juice.

SOLO FEMALE I felt very safe and well looked after. Staff can do enough for you, Putu was amazing … he booked tours & boat to Gillis with no issues. Great location, everything walkable or driver Yudi always there to help (WhatsApp) he’s a good guy :) He also collected me from airport, hassle free. Hotel was very clean & good breakfast. Booked 3 night & stayed 5! Would stay again …. Thank you x

Good location and walkable to restaurants and major attractions

Location: Excellent, surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, and within walking distance to Monkey Forest. Room and Facilities: The room is spacious, but the cabinet is quite old, and the slippers seem to have been used before. There were mosquitoes, possibly due to the start of rain. Bedding: The bed is comfortable, and the blanket is cozy. Bathroom: Towels appear clean and new, with provided bathroom items and a hairdryer. There are some rust stains, but they don't affect usability. The bathtub is okay, but the water heater doesn't work, really needs maintenance. Breakfast: Limited options, and I requested a Breakfast box for an early check-out. I was informed they'd prepare a simple set, but it turned out to be three slices of bread with butter and a bruised banana in the same box, resembling animal food. Staff: The staff is nice and helpful, assisting me with setting up an electric mosquito repellent

Lovely spot to stay very central

I reserved five rooms for 10 people. Everyone really liked this hotel. It is definitely convenient to shopping, restaurants and is about half way between the monkey forest and the palace. There were two restaurant that were only a couple of doors away that offered live music which we quite enjoyed. You could hear the music from the restaurants somewhat inside the hotel, but they all finished up fairly early so it wasn't an issue. All our rooms were lovely with good working air conditioning. The included breakfast was really good and the pool was great. We had one slight issue when we arrived. The rooms I reserved 9 months in advanced were all suppose to have twin beds. They only had three rooms with twin beds available, so had various options ready for us from one queen bed, to a queen bed with a mattress on the floor, to paying extra for two upgraded rooms with twin beds. Finally we all agreed to two upgraded rooms with no additional fee, since I had reserved so long in advance. Once that issue was rectified, we had a wonderful stay at Lumbung Sari.

This property is not built to American standards, if you want that stay in America. Lumbung Sari is in the heart of Ubud and you could not ask for a better location. It is close walking distance to the monkey forest, water temple, and the art market as well as several shops and restaurants. The provide a very good breakfast poolside which is a really nice way to start your day. And the staff here are phenomenal, always going out of their way to make your stay great. We were able to book tours to the rice terraces and coffee plantation directly though the hotel and they provided extra bottles of water for us which was great because Bali is very hot. The staff more than make up for any problems that the building has and if I ever make it back to Bali I would be happy to stay there again.

We truly enjoyed our time here. It sits right in the heart of Ubud. Walking distance from everything (coffee, ice cream, food, shopping, art market, monkey forest, etc). The staff was kind and ensured we had all that we needed to be comfortable. Their morning breakfast is delicious, and if you plan a tour, they will box yours up so you can take it on your tour. Keep in mind this is a small resort but very cozy; the staff is friendly, and the area is safe and clean. We highly recommend The Lumbung Sari Hotel.

I recommend staying here if you don't mind your bathroom being a little old and run down and it is noisy at night. However, the staff are extremely friendly, breakfast was limited but good. I love how it's close to everything in Ubud.

Just a fabulous resort

An incredible find, set back from the busy road and so peaceful. My room opened out onto the pool which is as beautiful as the pictures show. They were also kind enough to help us with our transport to and from the airport and were amazing hosts.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and the bed was comfy! It was great to have the option to have a quiet hang out by the pool or step out into the heart of the action.

Loved staying here - got a free upgrade. The pool was amazing, the room was big and spacious and was reasonably close to things.

Great service, firstly with airport pickup organized by Nyoman. Serene outpost tucked away from the bustle of the main street. Boat service to Gili Air Island with land transfers all worked out to the detail by Putu, at the reception. Most certainly will stay there again when next in Ubud.

Solo traveling. Lumbung had everything you would need. Nice clean rooms beautiful property and most importantly the staff. Ive travel & stayed many places. Ive never stayed at a place with a more kind and helpful staff.

The whole staff in this hotel is absolutely amazing! They are beyond helpful and friendly. The breakfast is divine! The bedrooms are spacious, clean and with a beautiful view to the swimming pool. Great location and heaps of restaurants around! 10 stars!

Nice location close by shops and restaurants. I was upgraded to 2nd floor room. Unfortunately my TV wasn't working and bad placement of the TV. It was not visible when you lay in bed due to mosquitoes net hanging down from bed posts. The air conditioner works pretty good if you turn to the max. The steps are pretty steep so if you have a bed knee try to get a room on the 1st floor. My left knee was feeling it especially going up these steps. Staffs are friendly and helpful the best they can.

Nice

The location is fantastic - given that it's right in the heart of Ubud, having access to a quiet pool area is a big bonus. The staff was fantastic - we were upgraded for free upon arrival to a deluxe room. The free breakfast was also a great touch. The Aircon in our room was lacking power, and within 10 minutes they moved us to an identical room with a stronger unit. Thank you for the stay!

Location excellent. Nice pool and property. For the price we paid it was ok value for money but bathrooms could do with updating. Not 4* as described on Hotels.com

The staff were very police and accomodating, they got us a cheaper rate on the activities and tours we wanted to do rather than booking them online. We did run out of toilet paper for 2 days, there was no sense of urgency to replace it by staff, despite us asking.

I want to say that this property is an absolute gem if you are looking for a nice, safe and reasonably priced accommodations. Located in the middle of Ubud. So many key places within walkable distances: Sacred Monkey Forest, Pura Saraswati temple, Campuhan Ridge Trail/Walk. Several options for close half day trips: Bali zoo (amazing), numerous waterfalls (Canto Lampo, Tegenungan), numerous temples including Gunung Kawi, Taman Ayun, Tirta Empul), and of course the famous rice terraces. The property also has the most wonderful mie/noodle place with boba/mixed drinks place next door and is wonderful for late night snacking and very inexpensive but tasty meals. Opt for Breakfast since it was filling and delicious and they serve right outside your door.

Brilliant Stay!

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Amazing location in the heart of Ubud with tonnes of restaurants and boutiques on the doorstep. The Ubud art market is just down the road and the Monkey Forest is about a 15 minute Walk in the other direction. The grounds are well looked after and very pretty. Staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help, and their private taxi service (at a cost) was very useful too. Our standard room was basic but very clean with air conditioning that worked well. We really enjoyed our stay here and would’ve liked to have stayed longer - if we return to Ubud this would be my first choice hotel!

Great value choice in the center

A great value as we got last minute for less than 50E. Large rooms in authentic buildings, with traditional painted doors! Comfy bed and linen, clean, hudge bathroom with thub & shower, large tv selection and very quiet! The Breakfast was very tasty, both European &local selection, on the pool side! Helpfull staff everywhere. Only one downgrade: I appreciate the traditional door, but there is on market some insulation band to stop mosquitos to go into the room.

We have stayed at this hotel twice. This is a beautiful small hotel right in the heart of shopping and restaurants in Ubud. Well maintained, clean, helpful friendly staff and the most delicious breakfast by the pool served each morning. The price of our room and having breakfast included makes this great value for money. Such a great location.

My husband and I were delighted with the outstanding customer service that we received and we were pleasantly surprised with the delicious buffet breakfast that was included in the accommodation rate.The location is also perfect to soak up everything that Ubud has to offer walking distance to markets,bars,restaurants,monkey forests and 15min walk to Yoga Barn.Also would like to note staff member Kadek Juliana at Lumbung Sari cottages was very helpful with answering all of our questions and went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular 😊

Great value for money, in a really good spot we could walk. Breakfast was all we needed. The only thing we didn’t like was the front door lock. It was just a padlock not very secure

The people here are so friendly and welcoming! They really made my time in Bali the amazing experience it was, with their stories, explainations, advice, and conversation. Thank you! The hotel room was VERY spacious, clean, and pretty. Overall a pleasant stay, very good value for money

Initially got put in a twin room for our first night when we requested a double bed, however the hotel contacted our room the morning after and sorted us a double room for the rest of our stay. Location wise it was brilliant - just a short walk from the brilliant Monkey Forest and we were spoilt for choice when it came to bars and restaurants right on our doorstep. Cleanliness mainly was ok however we found a load of ants and had managed to get in to the bathroom on our last night, but a staff member quickly came to sort this out for us when we requested. The hotel had a car that could be booked for day trips/airport transfer which was provided at a very reasonable price compared to other cabs in the area. I would recommend that you be as clear as you can if you want to book the car for any specific trip e.g. waterfalls/rice terrace/temples, as when we requested to go to just a waterfall and the rice terraces, we initially got taken to a Bali swing where you had to pay for a package of either 5 or 8 swings. We didn’t ask for this so just jumped straight back in the car (language barrier probably didn’t help). Overall it was a pleasant stay, and whilst it wasn’t all singing, all dancing, for the money the value was very good, and we would be happy to stay there again.

Fairly basic small hotel but in a good position along a busy strret with good choice of shops and food.

Lights in the bathroom didn’t work. The mattress are very thin. Damp smell the room. We left after 2 days. At least we got our money back.

Disappointed by this hotel. The condition didn’t match the reviews or photos. A little old and worn. Pool not inviting. But nice staff. Would have preferred staying somewhere nicer. Definitely the worst hotel of our trip.

The staff at Lumbung Sari are so friendly and helpful. A buffet breakfast is offered each morning. A big pool is available to swim in. Air conditioning and wifi are available. The best part is the location, it is close to everything!

Hotel was right in the centre of Ubud and with walking distance to everything. We opted for a deluxe room, when we arrived the door was locked with a padlock from the outside and a wooden slat from the inside the same with the windows, I didn't feel that this was safe and it left gaps meaning the bugs could get into the room. We asked if we could change rooms because of this and staff said we would need to pay if we wanted a superior room. We ended up doing this as we were getting bitten by all the bugs. Definitely upgrade if you stay here. Breakfast was okay a few options it did the job. The pool area was small and had no sun on it which was such a shame.

Great location, very quiet, small so not too busy. As it is small is does have limited amenities- such as no cocktails/limited bar. However given its central location there is easy access to food and beverages. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Excellent location. Lovely pool. Friendly staff. Very clean. Rooms a little basic and could do with some updating, bed quite hard but booked based on location and excellent value for money. Should have booked superior or deluxe room.

Pleasant stay with a very nice buffet breakfast. A/C unit in our room was quite noisy and inefficient, upgrade needed but only note from our stay

Small, clean hotel in a wonderful location! Staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only negative was no hot water in the shower. However the temperature outside was sweltering so this wasn’t as big of a problem as it might be in other locations. I would stay here again but would make sure to have a poolside room again. Friends had a room on the second floor and the steps were huge and difficult to climb. There room also has traditional type door that had room for the mosquitos to get in. Overall, great place. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Although it is in the shopping district of Ubud, it is tranquil and homely. The bed was very comfortable and service was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Not everything that was promised on the website was available. Only minor. No fruit basket & cable tv. We have stayed here twice, one room had a safe, but second room didn’t. Overall lovely ambiance & would stay here again.

Staff is excellent, especially Putu and our driver. Plus, breakfast staff. Upgraded room was spacious w monstrous shower and king sized firm bed. Pool area was empty most of day.

I like it that they have acceded to our request of a room on the 2nd floor. But what i dont like is the fact that the room's door is WOODEN with HOLES big enough to see through. We had to use towels to cover up the holes. I can't believe this is rated a 4 star hotel... i don't think it is worth 4 star. The cleanliness was okay. Breakfast buffet was okay too... not excellent. Probably the best thing would be the location of the hotel. It is abt 5 to 10 min walk away from the Monkey Forest.

Typical old style Balinese style accommodation. Big clean room with very comfortable bed, good quality sheets and mosquito net (not needed). Small but nice pool, but might be crowded if hotel full. Helpful staff. Breakfast average.

Staff were fantastically helpful, and the property location is super central. Easy walk to Ubud Palace, Monkey Forest, etc. Plus WiFi was strong enough for a Zoom meeting with clients back home!

IT is very attractive and in a good location. Breakfast was varied and interesting and the complimentary afternoon tea pleasant.

Overall our stay was really good, comfy bed, clean, great litle pool. On first night no hot water but this was no real bother to us. Breakfast was great and mostly the staff were polite and kind however the morning we left the property we asked for a taxi to sidemen in reception and the hotel taxi driver (i assume one of the hotel staff driving a vehicle branded with the hotel logo) told us it would be a long journey as many roads were closed due to it being sunday and holy day. He even went to the trouble of showing us closed roads and the proposed routes on google maps, seeming quite genuine. He said it would take at least twice as long as normal and offered to take us at a very inflated price. Trusting him as he seemed genuine and worked for hotel we reluctanly agreed to this price as we had to make the journey that day. On route it quicly became evident that he was following the standard route in what by bali standards was fairly light traffic and despite his best effors to draw it out as long as possible by driving at about 30kph we arived at our destination in half the time he said it would take. We did challenge him and paid less than he asked but im sure still over odds. As tourists we all know we pay inflated prices for stuff like taxis (and we should have also asked somewhere else for a price on reflection) but being dishonest about what service is being provided is not good buisness and spoiled what had been a lovely stay for us until this point.

Always such a lovely place to stay. Perfect location, with restaurants all very close by. Friendly staff and a great buffet breakfast. Large rooms, cold airconditioning and a great pool! Wifi is fast! Nyoman and the staff are so helpful!

Second time in this hotel — enjoyed it every bit as much as 1st time. Ideal location right in heart of town, surrounded by shops & restaurants, but providing a quiet oasis from the bustle of the road. Lovely garden setting, with appealing pool in which to cool off. Really good breakfast buffet served at poolside — loved the banana pancakes! The staff are wonderful — gentle, smiley people who cannot do enough for you. I was travelling alone and felt secure & cared for there. Highly recommended — the deluxe rooms are well worth paying extra for.

Fabulous stay

We booked for two night and extended our stay. The hotel was in a great location and was very quiet. The staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful and even arranged our excursions for us. The pool area was lovely. The breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Lumbung Sari to family and friends.

Excellent staff, clean facilities, delicious breakfast. Tucked away from the street so there is no car or bike noise to disturb the peace. The pool is lovely. All bathroom amenities are provided too which was lovely.

Great stay in the centre of Ubud

We were very satisfied with all aspects of this hotel - the ambience, beautiful gardens, traditional room to stay in, a lovely pool, the service, the taxi service to and from the airport and for sightseeing. The inclusion of afternoon tea as well as breakfast was unexpected and welcome. It was surprisingly quiet being located on the main street and the only downside was a live band nearby which was intrusive in the evening, but did not play too late - thank goodness.
