My family enjoyed it

Blown away by the service and beauty of this hotel. Walkable to almost everything. No reason to stay anywhere but here when visiting Manhattan.

Lovely hotel, this was our second stay and the service /staff are excellent , very attractive boutique hotel.

From the moment we checked in, our experience at Luma was exceptional. Debra warmly welcomed us and later checked us out with the same kindness and professionalism. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. What truly stood out, though, was the hospitality—every staff member we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Superb Mini - Very Nice People

10 PM checkin and they greeted me by name, had been texting me to see if i was in need of anything. Just as friendly on checkout. Superb little hotel.

Omar at the Bar and Bellmen were very polite and talkative. We felt very welcome and taken care of.

We loved everything about our stay at Luma. Having two King beds was AMAZING and the room’s amenities were excellent quality. The restaurant was phenomenal. We will be back!

Very unforgiving management. We were not able to make the trip due to aassive snow storm. Management still unwilling to provide refund despite their hotel being empty on a Sunday night. Will never stay in this hotel.

A very good place to stay. Easy to go to fantastic restaurants and musical theaters around midtown.

Super friendly staff and very clean!

Came on vacation with wife and 5 year old, both of which were incredibly satisfied with the services and staff. Even though it's a little bit more for DINKs, single folks or people with older kids, the staff and location were awesome to our son and he loved his stay. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing also, highly recommend trying at least once. Overall 10/10 experience!

One night stay

The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff were amazing at both checkin and check out and all times in between! Great location close to Times Square. Self Parking was also available.

Family Trip to NYC

We stayed in a suite on the 27th floor with two big windows facing north (could see the new years ball in Times Square still). Kids loved taking pictures and videos of our view. Perfect for our family with middle school- elementary school children. Loved this location between Bryant Park and Times Square. So close to everything we wanted to do! Breakfast was excellent- eggs and bacon were great (that was a big win in our family)! Staff was very professional and friendly. Alina the robot butler was a hit!

The location is convenient and within walking distance of the New York Public Library, Times Square, and the shopping area on 5th Avenue. The room with city view is nice but it is expensive. Some rooms has no any view beside wall.

Can’t beat the location with Times Square a block away. The staff was always helpful and quick to respond.

Luma is a good hotel near Times Square. The WiFi was not very good, but the room was comfortable.

We loved the staff, convenience, and cleanliness of LUMA. The room was perfect for a family of four. The were accommodating and helpful in every way. We will be back!!

The staff and the hotel are amazing!!! The staff is so friendly and very helpful with all your needs. We got a 9:30am check in which really helped us out the first day and the room was spotless with 2 king beds and the best lighting of any hotel room I have ever been in. The restaurant on site was so good and they import their flour from Italy which makes all the difference in the world when it comes to eating Italian. And the staff at the restaurant could not have been any friendlier and so good at what they do we ate there both nights and the food was delicious and the staff made us feel so at home❤️. We were in Milan Italy this summer and I would put Aperi bar food above what I ate there. Thank you again to everyone for making our trip so enjoyable, we will be back for sure. John D.

About the fourth time staying here this year. Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar are good as well. Planning another trip this spring and staying here again.

We stay here every year during the holidays (this is our 5th year). Everything is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We love it!

Wonderful hotel; staff were friendly and helpful

I booked what was advertised as a “suite,” expecting a spacious and comfortable room, only to arrive and find it was smaller than a standard hotel room. The photos online were completely misleading, giving the impression of a much larger, more luxurious space. For the price I paid, the value was nonexistent—this so-called suite was not worth it at all. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch. I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for an honest representation of what you’re paying for. Many reviews claim it’s off Times Square and you cannot hear an anything but that simply is untrue as well. Loud Police sirens and horn honking is highly expected during the night

Luma in December

Floors are very uncomfortable to walk on. Slippers are provided, but that is not very good. It feels like walking on a rope rug. Floors were not clean on check-in, but that was quickly remedied, and we got a "treat" for the inconvenience. Great location and great bar. Being right by Bryant Park for the holiday season is a real plus. Convenient for good dining and the theater district. We will definitely come back.

Our stay was great. Our rooms was super clean and the staff met all of our needs. The front desk staff was awesome, super friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back for sure!

This hotel was amazing. Half a block from the parade. The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was large and clean. Definitely my go to for now on!

Location, location

The entry doors are extremely heavy and slam shut. Makes it hard to sleep. Other than that. Great hotel! Excellent service!

The staff are fabulous. Everyone was helpful. The front desk checked in on us a few times after a small issue with our room, something we hardly made a fuss about but that they were diligent and thorough in looking into for us. One of the top favourite things for our son, on his whole NYC trip, was Luma’s robot Alina!

Excellent location on Times Square, we had two king beds room that was modern, clean and quiet. The staff seemed genuinely happy to work there and are very friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Luma. All of the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to treat us well. This is a wonderfully central location, tucked away right near Times Square. Bryant Park and the subway were also very close. We will definitely be back!

Love, love, love this place! Luma hotel was perfect for my family of 4. Location was brilliant with close proximity to all of the sites that we had planned to visit. The hotel was safe and quiet and the staff were super friendly and really helpful with our touristy queries. Fabulous hotel. Highly recommend it and will use again.

The Hotel used my credit card details a month after checkout! claiming I used 3 rooms instead of two. I started a court claim against them. But no one there wants to listen as this is their records. Stay Away

Excellent hotel

The room was clean and spacious. Although the curtain in the room was a bit smelly, spotted and some mold because of the water. If they could change this it would be perfect. Otherwise very good location in the middle of manhattan and to subway. Also quite quiet for being so close to time square

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Travelling with our 5-year-old, we booked a larger room with a sofa, which was perfect for our family. The hotel was spotless, the staff was friendly, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We especially appreciated the laptop desk and mini-fridge in the room. The location is unbeatable for tourists—everything is within easy reach. There’s a CVS and Whole Foods nearby, where we picked up snacks and drinks for the mornings and evenings. The area is also filled with great spots for breakfast, coffee, and meals

Everything was great, except for the view from the window.

Staff were very kind and accommodating, and our rooms were excellent. The location was also perfect for hitting big tourist attractions.

We stayed 6 nights. The first 4 nights were in room 1901. The room was lovely clean nice view ,but nothing spectacular. I always like to write about the beds The beds in this room were perfect. A little on the firm side and very comfortable. We had to move because we extended our stay. Room 1906 was nothing like the first room. The view was a brick wall so the room was very dark all day. The beds were also different . The mattress and in second room was lumpy, soft and bed was uneven. Made a big difference with poor sleep.. Bathroom small and fair water pressure. The hotel is in the middle of time square so expect a lot of crowds and noise. Staff is nice

The LUMA employees were fantastic and always smiling offering any asisstance, if needed. The location is central and only a block away from the MTA. I would stay again at the LUMA if and when I return to NYC.

The Luma is a nice hotel with a wonderful staff. Lots of fun perks like slippers and robes, chocolates, Nespresso machine, lots of hooks to hang things. But the room configuration is awful. We had a king bed with a pull out. We were traveling with our granddaughter so we needed beds for three. When the pull out was open, it abutted the king bed making it impossible to get in to the king bed on one side. If the pull out was parallel to the king bed, it would be a perfect room. Why did the designers not see this major flaw?

High tech but no directions on how all the elements worked. Thin walls! Neighbors alarm woke me up. Clean and located well.

Good hotel located near times square. Room size was good for new york and had all the modern equipment needed (including a dyson hairdryer which my wife loved). Room was clean. Lobby is a little chaotic but guess have to accept this given its close proximity to times square. Door men were as ever helpful (getting me ice for our water bottle ahead of day exploring in summer heat). would recommend if wishing to stay near times square.

Great boutique hotel

The cleaning needs improvement. Vents were covered in dust that was easily not cleaned for months, if not years. It was disgusting. Otherwise they were responsive to our request to clean them. The staff was kind and attentive. Loved the location and beds, and the quiet in our suite. The view was horrid. Two brick walls. We got the two king suite.

Very noisy on the 8th floor

Great service and location, however we were on the 8th floor and it was extremely noisy. We felt having a club right beside us with the base vibrating through our room. It was very noisy and unpleasant. I don’t mind the street noise as it is New York however having club music in my room was not great.

Luma Hotel is very clean and the staff were great. The rooms are small but we loved having double king beds. This stay we had zero view, looked at a brick wall and the room didn’t get any sunlight. The restaurant was a 10 which made us happy because the surrounding area of Time Sqaure was under construction, very dirty and smells. We did feel unsafe to leave the hotel at night.

The location is simply the best. We were provided with wonderful customer for the entire stay. A vibrant, clean and elegant place. The room was quiet and spacious.

Hotel was awesome in terms of staff being nice and room being good sized for the neighborhood. There was no mini bar or even water in the room and the restaurant in the lobby had limited seating options. Location was great by the park but due to a lot of construction and scaffolding around we couldn’t sit outside and taxis didn’t come to the block. Staff was so so lovely to our child!

Really wanted to like this properly especially after reading many favouable reviews. Unfortunately in my experience this just isn’t a 5 star hotel. The lobby is minuscule; we constantly had to dodge people blocking the small passage. The rooms are mediocre at best. Yes they’re clean but far from luxurious. The pillows and bed simply wasn’t comfortable; far from other hotels we’ve stayed at. For $750/night you can find better value elsewhere. Cannot recommend this hotel, unfortunately, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

Awesome Stay in an Urban King room

Absolutely fab stay in this amazing hotel. The room & beds were big enough for 4 adults. Storage was a little tight but the drawers under the beds helped a little. Staff were always friendly & very helpful. It’s a great location close to TS but away from the main areas. The rooms were very quiet & beds very comfortable Thank you x

Hotel was close to Times Square and Bryant park Clean with quiet

Hotel lobby needs work. It was tiny and dark. There's a place to sit for maybe 8 to 10 guests at a time and no more.

The location was very close to three different subway lines and lovely Bryant Park. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a a lovely dinner the the restaurant on site one night. Our room was in the back and VERY quiet. All in all it was a great stay.

The location is great because it’s not far from the excitement of Times Square or Broadway. The rooms were clean and well appointed for a 4 star hotel. All the staff including the bellhop, front desk, and even the restaurant were very nice and accommodating. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was one of the best meals of the trip. I would definitely stay here again!

Felt like a dungeon. There are definitely other hotels in this area that offer more for the money. Other hotels in this price range have bigger rooms, better views, complimentary snacks and/or water and even doormen. This hotel had none of this. But tvs did have caste ability so that was a plus!
