The owner is amazingly hard working, paying attention to every detail. Place was comfortable, well laid out, and well protected to reduce the noise given the location in the middle of the key beachfront area.

I Went To Luichy's Dor The First Time And I Really Loved The Place. It Was Conveniently Located Across The Street From The Beach. The Owner Was So Friendly And Welcoming He Made Sure To Inform Me About The Rules, The Restaurants, The Parking, The Activities, The Amenities And He Escorted Me To The Room. You Can Smell The Cleanliness Of The Room. Everything Was So Great And Had A Basket With Everything I Needed For My Stay. I Was Able To Relax During The Day And Sleep Quietly At Night. I Really Recommend This Place To Everyone And Will Be Returning With My Family And Friends.

Come to Combate if you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of San Juan. Luichy’s was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The locals are very kind. Beautiful beaches, great food, great scenery. For my fellow birdwatchers - Luichys is only ten minutes from the Cabo Rojo Salt Flats. An ABSOLUTE must see for serious birders. Make sure you come on the weekend when everything is open. If I ever make it back to PR / Cabo Rojo, I will certainly be staying at Luichys seaside resort.

The owner was very courteous, helpful and very kind. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Overall, we slept well and cozy, and surely recommend it.

It’s a sleepy beach town during the week with just one restaurant open. We were looking for peace and quiet so it was perfect.

Great stay! Wish there were more opened late restaurants around but that’s not the hotels fault. We got Room #8 I believe and it is the only room with full ocean view. Super beautiful. The only downside was that the wifi didn’t reach our room so we had to go closer to the lobby and work from the outside

This place and its owner deserve more than 5 stars! ⭐️ We stayed only for 1 night because it was unplanned. 1 week before starting our vacation we added combate beach to our trip list and we picked this place because it’s located right in front of the water. We couldn’t picked a better place!!! I booked through Expedia, we were 4 (2 couples) and by mistake I booked a room for 1 couple. The owner helped us and upgraded our stay. He received us with cookies and a warm welcome! The room was fantastic, very comfy, updated, smelled very clean and fresh, the A/C was very good and the beds incredibly comfortable. The room includes something like a balcony where you have chairs and a table, coffee, a hammock and the most important, BEACH VIEW! 😍 We didn’t have to drive anywhere since right in the same spot you have different types of restaurants. If you need to buy stuff from a marketplace there’s one 5 minutes away driving. Luichys was more than we expected and we will be back! Thank you.

Stayed 2 nights and I just say, I would def come back. Room was clean, it smelled good and it was very spacious. Literally steps from the beach and near Annie’s-good place to lunch or dine. The host Angelo was very nice and accommodating. I will definitely return and recommend others.

We stayed for 3 days and the location was perfect....just a few steps from the beach. The room was very nice and clean. The property was in excellent condition, the pool is small but perfect to refresh after being at the beach the whole day, it was very clean and very nice. We ate at the restaurant 1 night and the service was a bit slow but we did not mind since the foot was great. Definetly we will be back .

The place was impeccable, good service! Walking distance to restaurants and the beautiful beach.

The property is so clean and beautiful. My room had direct view to the beach and to the main street. We had balcony furniture where we sat and enjoy breakfast. The most convenient location at two steps from the beach, The property have a nice pool that we used after returning from the beach. The staff is so friendly and reachable that we want to go back and stay here every time.

Great spot if you want to party all night long.

But if you want to sleep at night, go elsewhere. Small place with nice staff and super close to 3 bars so the noise at midnight is not quite as loud as 2am. No hot water in the bathroom sink, shower water gets kinda warm at very low flows, the water heater is on shower head. The beach is close and is great.

What a great place to stay! Next time we plan to stay more than 1-night. Angel is extremely helpful and hospitable. We highly recommend if you like a relaxed beach vibe.

There is so many things to say avoid this place but as soon you are checking in a 5 star Experience begins. I have a great Anecdote with a lost car keys that describes why Luichys is the best place in Puerto Rico i dont want to get in details but others people also validate the great rating this place have.

Nice place across from the beach. Very convenient. The rooms are nice and modern with air conditioner. The bathrooms are renovated but uncomfortable due to the small space. I recommend adding a few hooks on the bathroom wall or behind the bathroom door to hang stuff to make it more comfortable. Also, although the bedsheets were washed, they had old stains which gives a bad impression. The owner is very attentive. The whole area can become super noisy with loud music with offensive language. I think is a problem in Puerto Rico and lawmakers and law enforcement should do something about it.

Right in front of one of the best beaches. Bar and restaurant on site. Parking lot free. Room completely remodeled , nice and clean Luichy very friendly and always making sure that everithing is ok. Check in very smooth. Highly recommended , we got a great service and help for free from Martin that does not work for the hotel but gave us free chairs and canopy. Just for a tip. In a few words it was a great experience. I would like to come back more often.

We've stayed at other places in El Combate in the past but we will definitely stay at Luichy's Guest House when we come back. It is located directly across from the beach & there are several bars/restaurants within walking distance. We stayed in a Queen room for 2. The room was spotlessly clean. There is a refrigerator in the room & a shared microwave in the common area. The AC worked great. My husband & I both need to check emails for work when we travel & the WIFI worked great for checking emails. We arrived prior to the 3pm check in time. The owner told us our room was still being cleaned but he checked us in & showed us where to park & went to the hotel bar for a drink & a snack while we waited for our room to be ready. There is a $5 per day charge for parking but we were just grateful for private onsite parking. You will struggle to find parking in El Combate on the weekends. Luichy's is located right in the heart of the beach district. The area can be loud with music & cars. If you're looking for a beautiful beach where you can stroll from bar to bar & enjoy music you will love it.

It was an appropriate value, but we found enough deficiencies not to want to return. Disappointed that there was no hair dryer or coffee, and no place nearby to get coffee. No reading lamps - just a weird blue light on the table between the feet of the two beds. We had to read with our cell phone cameras. The TV was deficient. The only channel we could hear was Nickelodeon. We could not turn it up enough to hear it on other stations. Pluses: Walk to beach and good restaurant across the street. New little pool would be nice for families, but this beach is calm enough for children, unlike others on the west coast. Outdoor tables outside our room and a hammock were nice touches. Books inside room and outside were nice, too.

Hidden Gem

This guesthouse exceeded my expectations! Self check in was extremely easy and the rooms are modern and updated. I was on the 2nd floor which gave me a direct view of the beach. There were also table and chairs by your door if wanted just sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. There are a few restaurants and bar located with walking distance.

Great time! The hotel was very clean and it seemed it had just been remodeled.

Julian was the best host. We really enjoyed the hospitality, the beach and the lighthouse.

First is not a beachfront property... Is close to the beach. There not housekeeper. No one at front desk to checkout. There a tiny Above-ground pool (not a regular pool). The bed wasn't a queen bed.. was a full bed, we ask the attendant he said that is a queen bed!!! We have a queen bed in our house we know the size!!! There not Netflix and very limited channels on. The refrigerator was leaking water and is next to the closet and wet our bags and clothes. The front desk only open like 2 hours.

Location could not be better. Right next to the water... Julian was extremely attentive, courteous and informative.
