Adequate accommodation- comfy & clean but a little dated and basic. Staff very nice and helpful. Internet was rubbish (1st world problems I know, but meant kids couldn’t even watch free view).

Disappointing

Friendly check in. Room very comfortable but let down by old soap in the shower, wifi that kept freezing and tv that froze every few minutes. Ended up using own data. Disappointing stay.

Blenheim hidden gem

Nice rooms and handy with small kitchenette. Easy to walk around town from motel. Staff friendly and helpful.

The kindest staff ever!! It was comfortable, convenient, clean and cozy. They gave a superb dinner recommendation and helped us navigate the wine country. LOVED this place!

Mary was very helpful with great suggestions of things to do. She also gave me info on the ferry conditions and kept me updated. Room was very comfortable with small kitchen and separate bedroom. Had a laundry which was easy. Even had Netflix to use. Wifi was excellent. Walked everywhere, good shopping and eateries. Definitely recommend with very friendly staff. Michelle was available on the weekend to help with anything else. Lovely homey place to stay.

Great location walking distance to town. Nice, clean unit that had everything and a super comfortable bed.

Able to book in early which was wonderful. Unit was clean and tidy. Bed was super comfy. Unfortunately chiming clock in the square and traffic noise can be annoying. Wifi can also be slow.

This was a lovely hotel to stay at. Very convenient, clean and comfortable. Mary was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and we really appreciated her help with many things. I would come and stay here again when I’m back in this area. Thank you.

Boutique lodging!

Very clean, convenient lodging walkable to the downtown and not far from the train station. Updated room with beautiful view of the town park square with gorgeous gardens.

We had a great stay at Lugano motor lodge! Great location within walking distance to New World grocery, the Warehouse and the various dining places. The parking is easy and the lady at the front desk is super friendly and helpful! She even gave us a bottle of creamy milk for our coffee when we checked in. She stayed until 7pm till we finished our laundry. Across the lodge is the beautiful Seymour Square where we took a morning walk after breakfast before heading out. The room is clean with dishes microwave and a small fridge, convenient for housing our groceries. The bed is super comfortable and we had a good night rest. We recommend this place for safe, convenient and comfortable road trips in the South Island!

Friendly Stay in Blenheim

Excellent place to stay in Blenheim—clean, comfortable rooms, with easy access to all the Marlborough wineries. They also had a Netflix guest pass for the TVs in the room (though the wifi was a bit slow at times). The hosts were around whenever we had a question: they were very nice and friendly. Bonus: we met their two little kittens and they were happy to have us hang out with them. Nice and charming little spot perfect for our two-night stay in Blenheim.

Blenheim Wine tour and roadtrip rest stop

Clean motel with adequate space, clean and comfortable room and centrally located. However, Negative points. Paper thin walls ensured we got to experience our neighbours watching ‘Strangers Things’ full blast at 3am. The room was boiling hot because the AC didn’t work. WIFI was unreliable from 6pm onwards.

A great place to stay

A very good experience checking in. Got an upgrade which was great. The room was large, lounge living area, and two seperate bedrooms. The athroom was large with a very good shower and a seperate toilet which is most unusual for this type of place. All was clean and well stocked. The manager was helpful, friendly, and a had a great sense of humour. Very good experience over all

The new owner of the property has been there for five months and has done a number of improvements that really show and is very cordial. This is my second visit and can highly recommend.

We stayed for one night and enjoyed a quick and friendly check in. The room was very clean and the bed was good. The bathroom was a bit dated, but plenty good enough. Would definitely return.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Really generous sized room with a little balcony out to the side (we stayed in a room at the end). Quiet, sunny and very warm. I will stay here again definitely.

Absolutely loved this property. We were at the end of a two week driving holiday around the South Island and we both felt this property and town were the pick. Had two great meals in town and it was only a very short walk into town which was terrific. It was nice to not need the car for a day. The room was well equipped and well set out with two large lounge chairs to relax and read or watch TV. Also had a small dining setting. Bed was comfortable and the blockout blinds worked well. Large bathroom too. Also HD Netflix was available in the room. The room was spotless. Really clean. The property has great easy to understand recycling too. You can tell the owners are proud of their proprty. Judy (the owner) was so nice. Let us check in really early after we arrived well ahead of time. Was so helpful and friendly to chat too. Felt like being back home. Couldn't recommend this property enough. Also great pricing.

Great location

Delightful property that is right across the street from a very charming park in the middle of town. Parking for each of the units. Walkable to nearby grocery store. All this AND it is right in the middle of the wine country!

Clean, tidy and comfortable

We arrived late, room was ready and waiting as was a car park! We were very impressed how easy and fuss free it was to arrive after hours. Despite the bathroom and joinery being a little dated they were very clean. Furnishings lovely though (liked the leather couch!)

Staff were excellent and absolutely friendly would definitely go back again. Rooms were well maintained although an exhaust fans in the bathrooms would be a good idea.

Perfect for your overnight stay.

Room was spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only small negative was that the shower flow was very weak and and the water temperature was quite temperamental.

Close to the centre of town which was really handy as there was a street food fest on which the owners told us about when we checked in. We were able to easily walk there. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Great spot in town, opposite the square. Room had all we wanted and very comfortable and clean. Checked in with loads of washing from a river trip and they were happy to let us use their washing machine. Definitely stay again highly rated the staff.

Judy and Roger couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. They couldn't do enough for you and made our stay very welcoming and enjoyable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Blenheim. Really central and our Hosts know their town and what to suggest on all fronts. Accommodation was swish with everything you need. Up market and quiet. Couldn't ask for more!

All good, location, price, amenities. Just lack of warm welcome. We mistakenly booked for 2 person instead of 4 bec we have 2 kids. But we were confronted and the first statement was “You are 4 but WHY did you book for 2?”. Sounded like we were trying to con, but how can we hide our kids? So it is really an honest mistake when I booked it. My wife immediately said that we’ll pay extra bec we are not the kind to fool any one just for a few $. We just felt embarrassed and more so on the way they questioned us. Then the guy started to introduce himself as the manager and spoke calmly. Just didn’t like the welcome part. And iI’m sure they can learn more Hospitality in future. But everything is awesome. Location is great, and there are utensils to use in the small kitchen.

Really comfortable and convenient place to stay

Overnight stay having just caught the ferry across from North Island. Condition of the apartment was excellent throughout, parking was easy and only a short stroll into the centre of Blenheim, which has a good selection of restaurants/supermarkets. The manager was also extremely helpful in advising on things to do, restaurants etc.

Good location for walking into town , nice view of town square from upstairs room. Nice big tv and nice comfy big bed. It was such a shame about the noise though. We got hardly any sleep, the 3 couples in next door rooms were very loud all night, and lots of traffic. These rooms are not sound proof at all. I could even hesr the people in the next room using the toilet. Because of the noise i wouldn't recommend or stay here again unfortunately. But owners are very lovely people.

The room was absolutely comfortable, very clean and you had everything you needed. My husband got a bleeding nose in the middle of the night and soiled the sheets, but the owners were totally helpful, and made us feel at ease. The owners are great examples of how all customers staying in motels should be treated. With respect! I will stay here again and bring my family next time.
