Would be nice if the AC was on when we arrived. It took 45 minutes for us and the room to cool down. The smart TV didn’t connect to our devices. Internet was strong and it is right next to the ferry!
The staff here was incredibly pleasant and helpful. I knew what to expect when staying here so there wasn't anything about the room that was a surprise or a disappointment with the exception of the bed situation. Bed was comfortable enough, but the futon/pull out bed situation wasn't ideal. The front desk staff provided a sheet for the futon (just one) - there were no blankets available for any of the beds. The bathroom shower drain smelled like sewage - even with the bathroom window open we had to cover our nose to use the restroom. The restaurant/bar on site wasn't open at all during our stay (on a saturday) so we ventured out for food/drinks. Not the end of the world! All in all, I wouldn't stay here again for the price.
The room was spacious and clean. Air conditioner and fan made the room comfortable. The curtains are thin so light comes in when the sun comes up. The people at the front desk were very helpful. The area of the hotel isn't geared for tourists although there is a restaurant up the street and several small shops for food.
I would say that the only reason you would stay here is if you are taking the ferry the next day. There is not much at all in the area. The beds were uncomfortable, and there was not even a blanket, just 1 thin sheet. Definitely a 1 night stay only.
Overall, I had pleasant stay at Lucky Duck hotel. However, there were a lot of annoyance. 1, the staff spoke very little English, which was surprising. The gate was locked late after dark and you had to make arrangements to have it unlock, if you were planning to stay out late. The biggest issue was that I left my sweater in the front entrance on the day I was checking out. I reported this and arranged to have someone to pick it up. The person took time out of their schedule and picked up a sweater, which I found out days after, wasn't mine and was told my sweater will be mailed and a tracking number will be provided. It's over 1 week and counting and the communications via whatsapp has stopped. No one is responding back to me, no one is picking up the Whatsapp phone calls, and because of this, plus details mentioned above, I will not recommend this hotel. Bad service says a lot about the owners behind this establishment.
It is very spacious, but the facilities are not enough. It is neither like a hotel nor a family.
It is a cute boutique hotel that’s right by the ferry. There are no swim beaches close by so you’re either using the ferry or taxi services quite often. Convenience stores near by helps for snacks, and there are a few restaurants just within a couple blocks with some really good food. Initially when we checked in, we only had one towel. Had to request another. No washcloths or hand towels either. The safe in our room didn’t work and the kitchen sink faucet wasn’t secure. Sheets had some small stains but smelled clean so we didn’t worry too much about that. Hotel was really quiet and we didn’t run into many other guests. We had a room with a very small balcony, overlooking the restaurant and bar area. No chairs are on these patios. The included breakfast consisted of coffee and juice options, a plate of fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs and toast. Highly recommend at least trying once. The bar was not open and the rooftop wasn’t like pictured. Definitely not an area to hang out. The area itself isn’t the nicest and a lot of locals live there, but this is the second time staying in this area and we had minimal safety concerns. Enjoyed our stay but not enough to book here again.
Nice hotel, friendly staff and nice area out of the big resorts. Rooms are clean And by nice style. Some small repairs are necessary (shower and hot water in the sink). Nice place
Great Hotel close to Puerto Juarez
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a minutes walk to the Isla Mujeres ferry. The breakfast is really good!
Very close to ferry to isla mujeres. Clean hotel, the front desk and breakfast employees were really nice and sweet.
Love it at Casa Namal!
Lovely little sport very near to the ferry!
The staff was GREAT, professional, kindness and respectful. Thank them so much
Nice people good price
One night is ok
It was a very short stay, the room was clean, minimal things.when I booked I was quoted one price, when I checked in it was $30 more with a 4.5% fee if you paid with credit card. This is an ok place for just one night
Cool little place with great location for ferry
Cool little place. Super location to jump on the ferry to isla mujeres (less than 5 min walk). The area looks a bit dodgy but we had no issues. We parked in front of the hotel, and they towed our car while we were at isla mujeres because of a parade going through that street (worth asking where is best to park). The hotel staff managed the situation and we found our car safely parked a few blocks away.
We liked the property is convenient very close to the ferry to Isla Mujeres
Great stay, clean and safe!
Stayed one night. Got in late and wanted a hotel close to the ferry for a morning departure. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Was nice to have a bar/restaurant on premises. Would recommend and plan to stay again!
Great ferry location
Excellent location if you need to be near the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Clean, comfortable bed
Our flight was very delayed. I had communicated that. We arrived at 3:00am. We knocked, yelled, rang the bell, and nobody answered. The neighbors must have loved us. NOBODY ANSWERED. We had to spend the rest of the night outside.
