A very enjoyable stay
Very relaxing stage at Lough Erne in one of the lodges. Enjoyed the spa and my new favourite cocktail. Breakfast was lovely albeit service was slow. No oat milk available for cereal or coffee
Fabulous staff and food
Love this hotel and you must have dinner in the Catalina restaurant. The staff are fabulous so friendly and knowledgable. We met the head chef who was so welcoming and interesting, I really enjoyed our chat. Breakfast was gorgeous, lots of choice and proper breakfast sausages, we will be back!!!
Great relaxing weekend - staff great and nothing any hassle
Beautiful hotel our room was soo hot never slept apart from that I enjoyed it. Have stayed there twice in last 4 months.
Lovely and relaxing couple of nights away. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful.
J
Great gem
Great wee night at the lodge and dinner then swimming in the morning with the little ones
Had a brilliant two night stay! Greeted at the entrance and bags carried in for us, all staff were so pleasant and helpful, the inside and outside of the hotel are stunning and plenty of nice walks around the grounds. Really cant say enough about the place, room was right beside the spa/gym area and the food in Blayney's and the Catalina was so good! Will definitely be back in the future.
What a beautiful facility! I really enjoyed walking the paths around the hotel and golf course. And the food in the Catalina restaurant was wonderful.
Fantastic hotel to stay at
Amazing staff all round. Kind courteous helpful. Stay was an absolute pleasure
The property is beautiful and we felt it truly was worth what we paid for it.
Great stay let down by cleanliness!
I had booked a lodge but moved to hotel without notice.. this didnt suit... took 20mins to find me a lodge and then told this is normally reserved as a 2 bedroom lodge..? Great music in bar from 8-10 cocktails great as alway but expensive @ £16... stay let down as ensuite bathroom was not clean... excellent staff in bar... Emma and James :-) cant say that I would rush back...
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Lough Erne. The only negative issue was that when on our first night before we went to bed we decided to have a cup of coffee, but we discovered that the 2 cups in our room were dirty, I was able to go to reception and get 2 clean cups, but when you spend over £500.00 pounds to stay 2 nights i really would expect this not to happen.
Beautiful hotel in stunning location. The perfect spot to take a few days off and relax with some good food.
Excellent welcome upon check-in. The restaurant staff are very knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service.
The check in staff were amazing, the hotel is lovely, staffing in evening dinning were nice but quite slow and didn't look to have much experience but all were friendly.
Fabulous
This place is fantastic.
Unique surrounding scenery and architectural beauty
Great place to stay good facilities.
Nice location
Anniversary weekend
We spent a special anniversary weekend at Lough Erne with friends. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and our dinner in Catalina restaurant was a highlight with beautiful food and excellent service. Staff even marked the occasion for us with a lovely decorated plate of chocolates which was a nice touch. We did feel that housekeeping was a bit of a let down though. On arrival our bed looked as if it hadn’t been properly made, in fact it was never done very well, and on day 2 a dirty cloth was left beside our washbasin. Not major problems in themselves but not really what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel.
The resort was terrific in food options, room quality, pool & spa facilities. A short walk via the golf paths led to some very scenic views. Hope to be back to play a game in the future.
Everything was perfect. Lovely staff. Very helpful. Very nice place. Hightly Recommended
Lovely grounds and overall nice hotel
Rooms beautifully refurbished however while there is an nespresso machine in the room, the heat of the water from this machine suits coffee but not tea it’s too cold. Spa and swimming pool is tired looking
Just attention to detail for a 5* is lacking from paint splashes around walls to electric plugs not on correctly especially next to bath. Electrical and water dont mix well imagine a toddler or child. There was a silcone gun sitting past the lifts for a good few hours with no work person in sight. Also the breakfast menu we asked for 2 breakfast for it and they weren't available and the coffee machine was broken so could only offer filter coffee. Again not getting the 5* standard you paid for therefore expect. The spa area for relaxing has seen better days with most cushions on the wicket furniture badly ripped and torn. The actual spa treatment was great 👍 the food was actually lovely 😍 but its the attention to detail that makes the difference.
Nice overnight stay, we did the Boatyard Distillery tour so stayed over after. Had dinner in the bar, it was fine, not bad but not great. Breakfast ok, nice to order from a menu. Room really big, lovely and very comfortable apart from pillows. Spa area very nice but dated. Beware if doing the distillery tour - it’s 5 miles from hotel but was very hard to get a taxi (and estimated to cost £30-40 each way) and hotel don’t offer transport. Only two staff members serving dinner in the bar so they were very busy, front desk staff disinterested in feedback.
This is a beautiful hotel and really peaceful. Ideal for a restful stay. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience when we went into the library to read and were rudely told by a member of staff to leave as she was having a meeting. There was no sign on the door to indicate this and being spoken to in this manner so early on after arrival tainted our stay and our impression of the otherwise very helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the Loughside Restaurant which was beautiful. The service and food throughout our stay could not be faulted. Unfortunately our shower had signs of wear and mould and the water was not hot enough to have a bath. In the morning time the water in the shower took some time to heat. We had an enjoyable stay but unfortunately these things were disappointing and I'm not sure I would stay again. We had stayed here previously and had a much more enjoyable stay so unfortunately this was disappointing.
Was attending a wedding. Hotel was beautiful. Was disappointed when I came back from breakfast at 11am. My bed had been stripped and sheets thrown over a chair. Duvet and pillows were on the floor. Check out wasn’t till 12 so I don’t think house keeping should of been in my room
Brilliant hotel !
The staff were very pleasant especially the bar staff that served our food. Looking forward to going back again in the new year
Exceptional hotel. Truly five star. Wonderful staff. Alan is the best. Beautiful location. Excellent breakfast. Nice walking path. Highly recommend the facility.
I recently stayed at Lough Erne Resort, and while the property, restaurant and Spa was lovely, our experience was marred by unacceptable noise from an event in the hotel. The noise levels were disruptive and made it difficult to relax, only sleeping after the event stopped at 1:30am. This issue significantly impacted my overall enjoyment of the stay. Note: A hotel representative has made contact since our stay - although we are unsure if we will return.
Beautiful hotel
This property was our #1 stay of the 8 places we stayed. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are very large, bathroom is beautiful and the bed was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The chocolate on the pillow is perfect. Great job folks of Lough Erne resort.
Nice stay
Room nice, but carpet and decor looking a bit tired. Some traffic noise early morning, but overall a lovely hotel.
Fab place to stay! Don’t miss booking this!
Amazing place ! Beautiful scenery, food was delicious . Make sure to add in breakfast as it was well worth it! Service so efficient and friendly! Nothing seems to be a bother! Friendly efficient bar staff. Weather was unusually warm! No AC but windows open and they had a fan in room! ( whoever thought anyone would need AC in Ireland😂)
Good. Clean & very quiet. Very relaxing.
Waited over half an hour for our meal and a couple who arrived and ordered the same food after us received their meal 10mins before us. Also we we’re celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary which we informed the hotel prior to our arrival however there was no mention of this not even a “happy anniversary” despite a couple infront of us checking receiving congratulations and gestures. We have stayed in other hotels (Galgorm, Farnham, Slieve Donard) and received small tokens (card or chocolates or complimentary upgrade) considering this is a 5* hotel a goodwill gesture would’ve been very much appreciated. It’s not an expectation but rather a nice touch considering the rating and also the distance we travelled to stay. Beautiful location and atmosphere however feeling slightly disappointed and glad it was only one night.
Great stay
Lovely rooms and wonderful breakfast. Staff was excellent
We will be back.
Overnight including evening meal, room was excellent, evening meal and breakfast as good as we have experienced and all staff friendly and helpful.
The only area of complaint is that the hotel is very overheated and they don't have air conditioning. Talked to several staff members who agree with the heat but they have to support the patrons who are cold. There is a fan in the room but the remote control was missing. But the main point is that this hotel has the nicest and helpful staff ever. Rooms are lovely and quiet. Beautiful location.
A fabulous stay!
Absolutely fabulous stay. Our room was so lovely overlooking the lake, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Loved the stand alone bath and made good use of it. Tea maker and supply of water excellent. Staff so, so friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast extremely good, great variety. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.
Lough Erne Review
We attended the Lough Erne for our anniversary. On arrival to our room we noticed the toilet brush was very dirty quite evidently so from a previous guest. We contacted reception and they did replace it swiftly- it would have been nice to perhaps be offered a complimentary drink or a small token just for the unpleasant encounter. However the matter was sorted quickly. I don’t think it would defer me from going back and everything else was faultless.
Excellent stay in No 14 lodge
A special treat
Lovely stay at Lough Erne with very friendly and professional service. Our meal at Catalina was gorgeous but quite expensive- more than the hotel break. Overall a memorable experience.
Nice spot for a quiet get away
Staff really helpful and friendly Furniture and bit out dated and tired and food expensive But great grounds and lots of nice areas to sit and enjoy a chat and a drink
Disappointing
Overall we did not feel like the hotel was 5 Star standard. The bedroom was tired and in need of refurbishment but the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was also very disappointing, tasteless.
Highly overpriced restaurant & OTT bureaucracy.
This is a superb hotel with picturesque views and great facilities. Best to have your evening meal in the bar area as the Catalina restaurant is 'eye-wateringly' expensive by all normal standards. Also, the process for booking times for breakfast and evening meal is superfluously bureaucratic, with email reservation numbers issued for each meal, followed by a request to confirm, accompanied with the warning not to be more than 10 minutes late (at the risk of losing the booking, especially when one enters a restaurant which is practically empty). The whole process of booking 2 meals (breakfast and dinner) involved responding to a total of 8 emails, at last count. Other hotels seem to manage perfectly well without such a rigmarole.
Wonderful Autumnal short break
Wonderful short autumnal break with my wife at this beautiful hotel. Room was lovely, food fantastic (evening meal in hotel and extensive breakfast buffet). Excellent treatment in the Thai spa in the hotel. Hotel located n beautiful countryside. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Definitely hope to return.
Great stay
Very pleasant stay. I had asked if we could have an earlier breakfast ie 8-30 /8-45 but we were told this wasn’t possible and we had to go at 8-00 am yet when we were leaving around 8-45 the breakfast room was extremely quiet indeed so I can’t understand why our request couldn’t be granted? That was my only complaint as a later breakfast would have been perfect..
Golfing paradise
The resort outdoors are sensational! The room and hotel interiors are very nice but more a 4 stars than a 5 stars in my opinion
Beautiful setting, very nice facility. Wish I had time to play its courses.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Hotel was in a peaceful and tranquil setting with views over the lake. We enjoyed our short stay very much.
Amazing Stay
This was definitely one of the top hotel stays I’ve had. I went with my girlfriend for a couples trip away. I dragged her to watch me play golf which actually turned out to be an even better experience because of the amazing, picturesque scenery. They also gave us favourable rates to play the course. The hotel itself is amazing, incredibly friendly staff. We went to Catalina the first night where the food was absolutely delicious. Then we ended up in the bar to some live music and fantastic cocktails. Our boi Sean was on the mixing station and they were fantastic. The second day was class too. We made use of the pool, sauna and steam room facilities. There are loads of nice walks too. We then took to the bar for bar food which was fantastic again. Sean hadn’t arrived yet but our cocktails were right up to standard. He’s obviously trained the staff. The rooms are so nice.. and a free standing bath with a really good shower too. We will be returning to Lough Erne. Great experience. Thanks to all involved for making it so good
Nice hotel but uncomfortable bed!
We spent one night here. Food was nice, we ate in Loch side bar and grill but would have preferred to eat in the main hotel. This was a miscommunication with reception staff. Our room was beautiful however the bed was dreadfully uncomfortable, very hard and felt like the springs were digging in. The pillows and duvet were very soft which helped but it was a very restless nights sleep, unfortunately. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very attentive.
Beautiful property. One concierge was extraordinarily helpful in trying to help me with an indifferent rent-a-car company. Another forgot to make a dinner reservation as requested. Overall, very good.
Would visit again
Beautiful hotel, and grounds. Staff friendly although slight confusion at breakfast. No potato bread or mushrooms. We were asked to wait until ready would have preferred to be seated and then brought to us, also had to ask twice for tea and coffee with no choice of brown ir white bread for toast.
Beautiful
Room was lovely the bed was so comfortable. Free standing bath and separate shower with espa products. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. The pool was lovely but a bit cold.
Location and resort was lovely but avery drunken and rowdy guests from a wedding with police and broken glass everywhere was very unsettling - broken sleep 3 times in the night as our room was in the same corridor as these people
Amazing, relaxing place to stay
We had an amazing stay! The staff were so friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating. We had a lake view room, which was spotless, and had everything you would need or want, including the most beautiful views. We were also offered a tour of the 600 acre golf course which we snapped up. We were taken round the whole course on a golf buggy by the nicest staff member, who gave commentary as we went, it was spectacular! We used the spa every day and it was so relaxing. It is really lovely but a little small for the size of the hotel. I had a facial in the Thai Spa and would definitely recommend it, it was incredible! The breakfast, which was included, was really good and again, all the staff were very pleasant and attentive. We ate in the Blaney bar and the Loughside Bar and Grill and the food was delicious in both. I would definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend it to everyone else.
Stayed in a Lodge with 3 bedrooms which is massive and plenty of space for a family of 5.
Disappointing - not a 5*
Quite disappointing. Not a 5* hotel by any means. Choice of menus was limited and despite having 3 restaurants, there were only 4 different red wines on the wine list. Otherwise a little tired looking all round and not kept as clean as could be
Gorgeous resort!
Amazing place! We came for a wedding and the food, decor, staff, everything was outstanding. Really beautiful hotel, would love to stay again..
Midweek break
Hotel nice but does require a makeover as it seemed a little tired.
Check in for this hotel is 3pm, I arrived at 330pm and the room wasn't ready. I was disappointed with this but also that there was no offer of a complimentary tea or coffee while we waited, it was a case of we will phone you. Dinner in the Loughside bistro was lovely, the low comfy chairs are a popular choice maybe have some more. The room was nice and clean and plenty of space, in the bathroom I noticed dust on the showerhead and grime on the outside of the shower tray. Breakfast was tasty but the atmosphere was too quiet, I felt like we all had to whisper as the tables were quite close. The members of staff were all very friendly and helpful. The outdoor grounds are well maintained Overall my stay was ok, I wasn't blown away and wouldn't necessarily choose to book again.
NOT A FIVE STAR!!!
Given that the hotel is a 5* it lacked this rating in my eyes. Some of the decor was tired (seating area near the reception) and particularly the room. The wash basin had cracks and there were visible cracks on the floor in the bathroom. The toilet also made a squealing noise when flushed. During breakfast we sat 35 minutes before any staff member took our hot food order and provided coffee, it was as if they were deliberately ignoring us? To our amazement two people came and sat next to us on the next table and straight away they had their food order taken as well as tea/coffee and only then after this (35 minutes) staff came and took our order. Disappointed- will not stay again.
Couples getaway
Beautiful Hotel and setting, wonderful food. Prebooking every little thing for COVID is a bit of a pain and takes away from the experience of a getaway. Why this is necessary when you can walk into any cafe or restaurant elsewhere without prebooking i really can’t fathom. No EV charging capability onsite is also disappointing
Everything was perfect , breakfast amazing so lovely to sit and enjoy , staff excellent and service also , will def be back 😊😊
Outdated and underwhelming.
Our stay fell well below expectations. The feel of the hotel was worn and outdated. Our lakeview room was covered in dust. Furniture was mostly damaged and worn. Carpet was visibly stained in several areas. Walls were marked and damaged and not repaired or maintained. Bed was small and uncomfortable - two single mattresses pushed together. Breakfast was underwhelming with undercooked meats and overcooked breads that had been undoubtedly left under heat lamps. Service from staff was underwhelming - check in staff were fairly nice, but check out staff were dismissive. Overall the hotel needs some maintenance and updating. Having stayed in several of its competitors recently on staycations I can wholeheartedly say Lough Erne Resort fell last on my list and I would be very reluctant to return. From what I can discern they are limiting the amount of rooms in use due to social distancing. At a guess I would say they are alternating use of rooms and not freshening them up again before guests arrival. The dust on most surfaces was significant, especially the headboard. The place needs an overhaul to get back to the standard it has been allocated. I have stayed in 3* hotels with nicer accommodation and facilities.
Unable on eat dinner on site
Very friendly staff. Excellent food fantastic view. Could pay more attention to cleaning tables in the bar area in particular the outside.
Staff in the hotel and the restaurant were excellent. Restaurant la Catalina was a truly memorable meal. Whilst there is not an extensive choice the ingredients were all local and the presentation was of Michelin standard. Well done Lough Erne
Lovely Mini Break.
We had an amazing stay at Lough Erne Resort. From the minute we arrived all Covid-regulations were in place from temperature check to sanitiser one way system quick check in and social distancing in restaurants etc. Room was very spacious and clean, lovely view over lough. We ate in Loughside bar and grill and Blaneys bar and both very good. Food and service were first class. Breakfast was served in Catalonia restaurant and again was very good well organised, you book your time slot and everything is served to you at your table very relaxing and all staff very attentive nothing is any trouble. we booked for water bikes activity on the lake and this was good fun. There is also an enchanted fairy walk for children which is a lovely idea. We used the pool and jacuzzi everything very clean and booking is necessary for social distancing. Will definitely return.
Who needs golf?
From the very first and extraordinary service from Sarah on reception, this was a wonderful experience and I will be back (regularly). And I hate golf.
Great stay with friends
The food was amazing in the Catalina restaurant, the staff were all very great and the grounds are stunning. The hotel was also spotlessly clean and the included shampoo and body lotions were high quality. The bar and restaurant lack atmosphere due to not playing music which was a real shame and definitely detracted from the evening. The curtains in the bedroom did not close fully and also let in light due to damage which was slightly frustrating for a 5* hotel. The spa, while lovely, was very small for a hotel of this size. Okay he steam room was being repaired on the morning we checked out and so out of order.
Very pleasing stay
Fantastic stay
Fantastic stay! Great location, delicious food, wonderful spa! Only tiny downside - room was very warm and there is no aircon.
A bit of luxury in beautiful location
Friendly check in staff room not available as we arrived early but got a call when it was ready.. beautiful setting relaxed atmosphere.. overall a very pleasant stay
Enjoyed it really well staff very helpful
1 night stay
Check in was smooth and the room was ready early. Hotel was spotless and the room was beautiful. A little box of choclates was left as a gift for our wedding anniverary which was lovely. A very relaxing experience. Social distancing in place and hand sanatisers everywhere .
Room decor abit dated but clean and fresh. Food excellent. Staff all friendly and efficient. Beautiful views over golf course and lake. Will be returning.
Good stay
Very good nice place to stay will definitely be back again traveled 2 hours to get there but was very worth it not badly priced. Very good 4star hotel in my opinion.
lovely Scots baronial style hotel, the main building is beautiful but rarely features on promo photos. Very old world inside, nice lounge and bar, covid restrictions unobtrusive in the main (but they don't service rooms during your stay). Restaurant is astounding - we had an amazing meal in the Catalina. Top end food.
Total Relaxation
Our stay at the Lough Erne was very relaxing. The staff were all very helpful and nothing was a hassle to them. The food, both in the evening and in the morning, was first class and would definitely recommend. The location and facilities were fantastic and any other hotel in Northern Ireland would struggle to compete in these categories.
Very COVID secure throughout. Felt very safe. Service staff in restaurants and bars were excellent. Room was very dark and warm even with radiator off. Window would only open a few inches. Struggled to get two decent nights sleep
TWO NIGHT STAY IN OCTOBER
Relaxing, enjoyable stay. There is nothing negative to say. Staff friend!y and attentive.
not happy
On arrival we were unable to book for dinner that night and we were also unable to book for any spa treatments and this was very disappointing for me as this was the main for my stay. We also had a problem with the water on day 2 my husband was in the shower when the water went off we weren’t informed of this going to happen it was very inconvenient
Lovely Visit
The hotel was very nice. Met by a concierge outside who giided us through the covid arrangements within hotel. Very friendly and lovely room. Breakfast was very relaxing overlooking the fermanagh lakelands and the Nick Faldo golf course
Service needs improvement
Very disappointed with my stay.
We got married in this hotel 10 years ago to the day we came back and booked it for our 10th anniversary. I did mention at time of booking it was our anniversary. We arrived at 2.00 pm and our room was not ready but we were told we would be phoned the minute it was ready and that it would be well before check-in time of 4.00 pm. We went for a walk to kill an hour as my wife had the gym booked for 3.00 pm. I then went to the Blarney bar at 3.00pm and because i wasn't eating had to sit outside. Outside i waited 30 mins before anyone asked if i would like anything to drink. I got a tea and waited patiently for the phone to ring to say my room was ready. 3:45 pm and still no call so i went to reception and asked if the room was ready only to be told of course it's ready!!!!! When checking in it was noted it was our anniversary and i was being upgrade to a lake view room, which I know from staying there a few times is not really an upgrade at all. Room was very basic and nothing special really and some of the courtyard rooms are actually nicer to stay in and they are closer to the stairs and lifts. We got room 132, as far away from the stairs and lift as possible, and just to add flames to the fire we had to walk past our wedding suite every time we went to and from our room and it was free the whole time we were there. The hotel is lovely and the grounds are fantastic but it's supposed to be a 5 star, there are 4 and 3 star hotels that have just as good service.
Relaxing and quiet
Nice hotel.lovely grounds.check in was quick and room was clean.
Stunning panoramic views from our lodge! Simply beautiful.
Great place to stay
Really pleasant place to stay with excellent food and very good customer service. Three on site restaurants, a very nice spa, and the hotel was everything you could ask for. I was there in the midday of winter and everything was still on point.
Enjoyed it but was disappointed that we were not in the main hotel
Amazing
Absolutely fantastic hotel couldn’t do enough for us, free upgrade when we arrived maybe because it was my birthday! Also food fantastic and brilliant walking paths around the resort 5stsr
When trying to book a facial for my wife this was not possible due to being booked out. During the course of the day it was obvious that there was a lack of staff and an absence of clients!
Lough erne
Is was brilliant stay got an upgrade for our 10th wedding Anniversary. Lovely staff and spa on site which was brilliant. Food was amazing and breakfast lovely.

Stunning tranquil location with very attentive staff
