Checked in and had £25 taken as a deposit on key. Quite expensive compared to most in the area so expected good things. Most of the hotel was under some kind of construction. There was dog mess in public areas. No safe in the room so i was advised to 'keep all valuables with you'. Soap dispenser didn’t work. Concrete footpath to beach collapsed. Loud music from beach bar until 2am every night. Had breakfast included but still needed to go to the other side of the complex to get a voucher each morning then back to the original side to the restaurant. Not impressed with this place at all.

Koh Tao 2 day trip

This hotel ended up being the most expensive of our whole trip around Thailand and actually the worst in respect of the condition of the hotel and rooms, it needs some investment to upgrade, area around hotel very shabby, lots of rubbish on the beach. The entertainment on beach in the evening was amazing the fire show kept us watching for a few hours, not sure I would visit that particular area again as I felt it is not cared for by the locals or tourists. The pool was closed on our 1st day for maintenance then open the next day but we were out all day then closed again on our 3rd day we expressed our disappointment and asked if we could use another hotel’s pool, we got there in the end and we had a lovely time. We learned that the restaurants only opened till about 9pm so we only made that mistake once. Recommend the snorkelling trip around the island of Koh Tao.

Hotel hell!,

Unfortunately, i didn’t read the reviews as carefully as I should have.The location is perfect.a few steps to the beach.The picture is not of the actual hotel but the pool across the road. Now for the bad part. There is obnoxiously loud! dance rave type pounding base music from 11 to about 2 am. I had to take two glasses of wine and a sleeping pill.The bathroom had mildew around the tub and some on the ceiling. Never stay here again

Excellent customer service, it’s definitely worth the price. The cash vouchers were an amazing thing I was not expecting (440 a day? Loved it)

Great Stay

Great location and really good aircon. We also enjoy the breakfast vouchers which you can use for anything at the hotel. Drinks, massages, lunch or dinner. That was really nice and a great value. We loved our stay and will be back again for sure. Highly recommend Lotus for your stay on Koh Tao.

Good but...

I would give this resort a 1.75 out of 5. A solid 4 on nights they didn't have music until 2 am and then construction from 2 until 9 am (who starts working that late/early; major respect to him). Unfortunately, on nights that they did play music and do work, it was close to a 0 star resort.

Stolen flip flops and a very tired hotel

We booked a standard room and when we turned up I think the pictures were taken 10 or more years ago as the room was very rundown. We asked to be up greaded and the reception was very helpful and the new room was ok. It cost us another £40 for out stay. The hotel is a bit tired and rundown but the guy on the reception was good. I also had my flip flops stolen within 30minutes of being at the hotel.

Lotus is a well run resort and I’ve stayed there many times,great location also,highly recommend it

Room cleaned every day with fresh towels! Stayed right beside the beach. The location was great! Great value for money and I would recommend it

Beach front hotel

Central location on the beach close to restaurants and bars which does mean it can be noisy at night but music stops at 1 am. Only complaint was there was no hot water in the bathroom as they rely on solar with no back up if it's cloudy/raining which unfortunately it was.

Great staff

We didn't like that it wasn't a big beach just outside like the map said. It was loud music at night. But a good thing it ended at midnight. The staff was wonderful!

A great place all in all but you get these little vouchers for wifi with a code which you have to enter every time you use it,annoying!!!!

Great location , big resort

Lotus paradise resort was really good, the neighbourhood was very lively ,the beach was very close to the hotel and also very lively , this resort has two pools what we're very good sizes the one bad thing is there is like a metre wide canal with stagnant water what is very close to one of the pools and hotel which smells like sewage if u can get past that it is a nice place to stay

In the middle of the party

This hotel is not terrible, you have a clean bed, clean bathroom, working AC, the basic on the standard room. Actually, Expedia gave me a "better deal" over the phone, what I think they did is gave a lower quality room (it wasn't the prettiest) when I got there I notice they have 8 different types of rooms and prices. From standard to luxury with fan, and from standard to luxury with AC. The party on the pool bar and beach bar is popping every night until 2 am. So if you want to sleep early this is not your place. If you like to party and don't have to take a taxi while drunk, this is your place. A lot of young people, beach, diving club, restautants; I didn't have to take a taxi anywhere in 5 days.

An all round good hotel

This hotel was good for what it was. Central to Sairee, just steps from the beach, wifi and free breakfast. Please note that the hotel bar plays music loud and late but it's really a non-issue if you've got a pair of earplugs, myself and my partner slept just fine. Breakfast is a choice of three things and a bit poor if you're a vegan but then I guess it's my fault :P "normal" eaters can get egg & ham on toast with coffee and juice :)

Not coming back... ever.

The staff in the resturant was hopeless. They could not take a breakfast order from two person without mess it up. This hotel is clearly supposed to be a party hotel. The noise from the Lotusbar (its actually a awesome bar at the evening) is holding on to 3 in the morning. After that - people can freely have party on their own rooms. If you are diving and are supposed to wake up 5:30 next morning for a week - stay away from this place. The staff in the resturant is not even smiling. There was a case with a other guest that ordered breakfast. He ordered fried eggs. 10 minutes after the waiter come back and give him scrambled eggs. The guest told the he ordered fried egg (and he did!) The waiter got angry and went back to the kitchen. AND come back with scrambled eggs and argued that he did order wrong. hopeless. We went other places to get breakfast - even it was included in our stay.

Right on the beach, walk to everything

It's right by the shows at night, so a little loud till 1ish but loved every minute of this hotel, plus free breakfast and two pools. 5 different islands and this hotel and island are my favorite.

Put Yourself in a Middle of a Party

The hotel complex is located just by the beach. The room didn't feel too clean and had quite some mosquitos, however, it was an ok experience. It was located just behind the hotel beach nightclub and while music can certainly be heard, it didn't disturb too much. We had an amazingly fun time at the hotel beach bar with live performances including fire jugglers and limbo. A good choice if you don't expect too much from a hotel and are looking for a great party time.

Nice but noisy

The hotel was very nice my room was amazing. I would not recommend staying in a Superior suite if you are a light sleeper because the Lotus Bar bumps music until all hours of the night. Otherwise a great place in a great location. The staff were very accomadting with day trips, laundry, wifi, you name it.

Great place to stay, close to everything. Two pool options and right on the beach. Fire shows at night, music didn't bother me but you could hear it some nights. Room was clean and spacious. Definitely recommend

Great party hotel

Great hotel, for people that want to go out every night it's perfect location wise and has everything you need. Wouldn't recommend for those who want a good night sleep before 2am. Great fire show at the beach bar and buckets are great. Pool bar keeps going until at least 4am every night, brilliant craic but don't buy the buckets at the bar, they're a rip off!

Nice hotel, good location

No elevator which is a problem in the deluxe rooms, location close to beach and middle of the town - loud at night with parties very close, take earplugs if you're light sleeper, breaky wasn't buffet as advertised and staff in restaurant weren't friendly this was really our only complaint

Real nice bungalow in West Koh Tao

The wooden cosy house we stayed in was spacious with a good veranda. There's a swimming pool too. It's located in the crowdy site, near the sand beach and between bars and noisy people going out. Needed earplugs for the night. When anything isn't working it's fixed in short time by the helpfull staff. Overall, I can recommend to book a tour or travel at Lotus own booking facility: they take customer care very serious.

Läget var toppen och att man fick kuponger att använda om man inte ville äta frukost kunde man använda till massage eller lunch. Vart inte störd av musik. Om ni vill ha städat häng upp skylten på dörren.

Not for us

If you just wanna party and you don't really care where to stay then this is a place for you. The standard room was so awfull that we couldn't stay there, blood stain in a wall, a smell that made us feel sick etc. So we paid more that we could have a better room. After the upgrade the room was ok, but super noisy. We didn't swim in the pool cause the water were so dirty and there were maybe two sunbeds which were not broken. The whole area has seen it's better days. Only good thing was the coupons on which you use for breakfast, spa or souvenirs.

Super belle accueille et staff très sympathique. Le resort est vraiment bien situé : dans l’action , sur la plage , plein de resto et d’activité. Si tu ne veux pas louer de scotter , c’est la place ! Bruillant le soir jusqu’à 2:00 du matin car party sur la plage. D’ailleurs, très bien comme party. Des coussins par terre , lumières glow in the dark, spectacles de feux ... Le staff vous donnes des coupons de valeurs (baht) que vous pouvez utiliser dans leurs place (boutique , resto, bar, massage ...) moi je me suis fait faire les ongles hehe + Le restaurant est très bon L’hotel est aussi associé à une école de plongée formidable (Siam) que nous recommandons fortement !!!!! Une belle place pour passer quel que journée a Koh Tao. Je recommanderais cette hôtel sans hésitation.

Bästa stället

All personal på resorten är väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi har bott här flera gånger och rummen är alltid fräscha. Ligger precis på stranden och nära till allt.

Slitet med bra läge

Relativt slitet hotell med hårda sängar. Nackdel är att det inte finns wi-fi på rummen. Bortsett från det så hade hotellet ett väldigt bra läge, nära till stranden och restauranger etc.

Rumet var rent och städades varje dag. Hotellet ligger ner vid stranden och det fans 2 bra pooler att bada i. Hotellet ligerbutmed gågatan som går genom hela området. Enda Minus var frukosten som var matkuponger för ett litet värde.

Very noisy until 1 AM

Vanaf 20:00-2:00 enorm veel lawaai op de deluxe kamer van de lotus bar. De ramen trilden er van. Veel muggen in de kamer en kamer wordt niet schoongemaakt alleen nieuwe handdoeken en toiletpapier. Chagrijnig personeel. Bij ontbijt mag je 1 maaltijd kiezen, heb je nog honger? Dan betalen. Zelfs voor 1 toast. Wel leuk zijn de twee zwembaden, het strand en de locatie. Water in zwembad wel ongeveer 28 graden, dus niet echt verkoelend. Kamers zijn wel groot en mooi op zich, alleen vergeet het maar als je nachtrust wil en de volgende dag vroeg moet duiken. Wil je een kamer met zogenaamd minder lawaai? Dan betaal je 1500 baht extra.

De på frokost omerådet var veldig hyggelige. Ikke alle hilste på oss. De spurte flere ganger når vi skulle bade i bassengt så var det ikke noe "hei" det var rett på "hvor bor dere?" Fordi de ikke villa ha fremmede dær. Bassengt var skittent og ekkelt. Hadde et stupe brett som ikke var brukelig ( sto ikke noe skilt eller noe) men med engang jeg gikk på den røyk det noen skruer og veier kun 75 kg. Frokost var veldig god! Du får en kupong på 200 bath som er 50 norske kroner så du får en god del mat men kunne spist mere men da må man betale. Rommene hadde bra størrelse. Var mye mygg dær og litt maur men er jo i thailand så hjelper egt ikke hvor du bor hen er det overalt. Ta med en mygg spray eller sånn man setter i i strøm for og få fjernet de. Var nærme alt! Stranda 50 meter nedover vi hadde et standar rom. Var litt mye bråk fra beach klubben på stranda men såv likavell som en stein.

Overpriced and bad condition

Only good thing about this place is location. Rooms condition were pretty bad. Also I had to check-out 2 nights earlier due my friend's injury and we needed to rush to the emergengy speed boat. Hotel stuff treated us like criminals. Do you know what? I'm not interested stealing towels or bed linen when my friend is in a need of surgery.

Exigem manter o passaporte na recepção, o que eu considero ABSURDO, se eu soubesse antes, não teria ficado lá. Fica a dica aí, hotéis.com! Fora isso, quarto ok, não tem elevador, bem localizado, a piscina era péssima e café da manhã ok. Aproveite o SPA que esse sim vale a pena

Excellent emplacement et services

L'hôtel est très bien situé à quelques pas des restos, bars et boutiques. Par contre il faut s'attendre à de la musique forte jusque vers 1am.

El resort no esta todo junto. Esta dividido dentro de la zona de playa de Sairee (se ve que fueron comprando terrenos no contiguos a medida que fue creciendo el hotel. El hotel esta por un lado. Una de las piletas hay que cruzar una calle. Para el desayuno hay que caminar 2 cuadras, etc. Mantenimiento muy pobre de las cosas. Para tener en wifi habia que salir al pasillo. Las habitaciones estaban bien pero viejas. Un poco de olor a humedad. Estaban haciendo obras de construccion. olor a cloaca en algunas habitaciones no nos la quisieron cambiar tuvimos que pagar la diferencia con una superior. Una de las piletas agua sucia se pusieron a filtrarla tardaron 4 dias que fue nuestra estancia y no nos pudimos meter. Por suerte tiene otra pileta que si estaba bien. La playa que da al hotel es horrible, agua sucia (La peor que visite en Tailandia). Hay que hacer excursiones si la idea es meterse al mar. Esta bien ubicado si a la noche se quiere algo de fiesta y estar cerca del centro. Para el desayuno te dan unos bouchers diarios equivalente a 200baths para ir armandotelo del menu del restaurant (que alcanza para un desayuno medio pobre), Se desayuna frente al mar, eso es lindo, pero muchas moscas que molestan. Dependiendo quien te atiende el trato puede no ser muy bueno.
