Had a great stay there! Would definitely recommend to any newcomers in Morocco
The Riad property is nice, staff was polite and respectful, room was extremely small and outdated, the location was not great, it did not look safe to walk at night time.
Worth noting
I’m sure it was meant nicely when the the nice men at reception presumed to tell my son and I about lgbt bars nearby. The rose peddles on the bed were also a nice touch
Very good staff and rooms.
أفضل رياض في مراكش
My stay was amazing! All of the staff are fantastic! Mohammed couldn’t do more for you he was fanatic and his bid should give him a pay rise! Riad was lovely and their breakfast spread is Devine
I loved it. The atmosphere, staff and architecture were amazing.
Restaurant food was excellent.
In hotel spa service!
My partner and I stayed here our first night in Marrakesh. The guys at the reception were very friendly. They gave us a full explanation of the surrounding area and a map. After some mint tea to welcome us in, they helped us bring our bags to the rooms. We didn’t have chance to try the spa services, but they look lovely. Would absolutely stay again. Thanks! :)
The riad was lovely and clean in both the rooms and the communal areas and the breakfast was great. For me the highlight was the staff who were absolutely wonderful during our stay, very welcoming and full of advice on where to go in the local area.
Beautiful Riad, however the surrounding area is very tough - taxi can only take you so far and you have to walk in a dangerous alleyway labyrinth to get to the Riad. Staff will gladly pick you up from the taxi drop off limit. There was a mouse in our room and when we complained, they didn’t believe us. Thankfully we had a video to show of it. If you book the spa treatments or any of the excursions they offer/support, there are no options to cancel or postpone according to your day in Marrakech. Overall some things were nice, others weren’t. Zakariya was a 10/10 staff member!
Really difficult to access property, owner is terrible do not recommend if you are visiting Marrakech. Only good thing was the doorman and staff that were polite. Owner is horrible.
Nice hosts and thank so much to Redouane he was great and very helpful ! Nice property which gives authentic Moroccan vibes . Great cuisine as well which is even better than the overrated restaurants like NOMAD.
The entire staff is absolutely lovely and made me feel so welcome. This elegant Riad is a calm oasis within the hustle of the Medina. I went on a food tour of Morocco & I had the best most flavorful tagline here,
Would come again & book for family/friends
Booked a girls trip to Marrakech to celebrate my birthday and it wouldn't have been nearly as wonderful had we not booked at L'Oriental Medina & Spa! The staff at this Riad were extremely accommodating and caring, that by the end of the trip they felt like extended family- specifically Elias & Abudl! As soon as we checked in, Elias gave us an in depth guide of Marrakech on the map, providing us with thorough directions to the Souks & Place Jemma El Fna. Honest recommendations were made on where to go for affordable and good meals, as well as what things or paths to avoid to ensure we did not get scammed. The whole team really went the extra mile by walking us to certain shops and booking us personal taxis to ensure we were given an honest rate. Even the chef came in an hour early to make us breakfast upon request when we made them aware that we had an excursion before their breakfast start time. We came as a group of three girls and shared one room, but not once did we feel it was too small. Both our double and single bed were extremely comfortable; and the sheets, towels and toiletries were changed every day. While we did not have treat ourselves to the spa or ate at the Riad for lunch/dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as it was different every morning and appeared to be traditional Moroccan dishes. Abdul always greeted us with a smile & poured us the loveliest of teas. Would recommend this Riad ten times over! Conveniently placed and amazingly run.
Beautiful Riad with great staff! Mohamed was extremely helpful and caring! We had to change some travel plans last minute and they were very accommodating with our schedules. Only thing is that you have to go through a few small darker alleys to get to the riad entrance which was sometimes uncomfortable late at night, but once you’re there it feels completely safe and welcoming.
Staff were lovely and service was great
Just OK
The overall stay was ok but to find it was very tricky, in a strange location. The pictures online looked much better than what it really was. The property and rooms were clean and the staff were quite friendly. The one problem I had which I’m not sure was the hotel or hotels.coms problem… when I booked the two rooms they were supposed to have 2 beds in each room and that was not the case which was inconvenient and not what I paid for
Beautiful property w/ great service
As with most Riads inside the Medina, you will need to walk w/ your luggage for a few hundred yards as taxis can't drive to the door. However, once inside, the service was excellent and the quality was top-notch. The rooftop restaurant was a nice surprise. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. They sat us down and went over an introduction to Marrakesh using a map on our arrival (accompanied by mint tea and cake) which meant that the complex city made so much more sense. The guy who brought our breakfast remembered our drinks orders each morning, which was lovely. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. It was difficult to find (we had to resort to GPS) as it isn't well signed and is on a small, unnamed street.
Nice staff and very helpful. Good atmosphere and relaxing hotel.
The staff and service was amazing! The Riad was beautiful and spotless and everyone was very helpful in assisting us from one Riad to the next, taxis, directions, excursions and directions to the souks. They offer a full kitchen full of tasty treats you can have by the pool, on the roof or in your room.
Amazing staff and beautiful Riad
The hotel staff is amazing and nothing bad to say about the Riad itself. The area isn’t the safest for 2 females traveling. Taxis and cars can’t come all the way and then you have to walk about 5 minutes. However the staff walked us to our taxi and took us back!
Amazing Riad nestled within the Marrakech medina. It is like a little oasis when you enter and you feel like you are in a different world. The Riad was phenomenal and I cannot fault them on anything.
The staff were excellent and gave a wonderful service
The staff was very attentive! I cannot remember their names but whoever helped us provided excellent service!
This place is super amazing! From the staffs to the food and the design of this riad, truly had a wonderful experience! I like the room I’ve stayed at. The bed and the pillows are super comfortable! I wish I can stay longer. Location wise, it’s about 15-20mins walk from jemaa el fnaa. Special mention to the staffs at the front desk, Adil and Hamaz, thank you so much for your help! I had a bad experience on my first night at a differend riad and also got scammed by people in the medina but you guys made me feel safe in this place. I also would like to thank the server, Imad! Overall, i love everything about this place and you guys won’t regret it!
Very peaceful and calming. Super clean and staff are all very friendly.
Absolutely perfect! By far this was one of the best Riads we stayed at in Morocco. It is a bit difficult to find, maybe ask for a porter to meet you upon arriving from your Taxi. We had a great dinner and breakfast. Room was lovely, and such a friendly staff. I did a hammam, and it was very private and relaxing. The streets close by can be busy, but once you make your way inside you feel like you are in another world. So quite and lovely, would definitely recommend!
Beautifully decorated Riad in the old Medina
It is a beautifully decorated Riad located in a very narrow street in the old Medina. No vehicle can be parked outside the Riad, so you have to walk 10 min to catch a taxi. The Riad can arrange vehicle transfer for you in a much higher amount than just catching a taxi on the street (double the taxi fare), but the arranged-vehicle will be parked much closer to the Riad (about 4 min walk). This Riad is full of Chinese people as the Riad manager said it is quite popular in China. There is a very small 'pool' in the middle of G/F and the size of the 'pool' is just slightly larger than a fountain, so I don't think anyone will swim in the pool. There is no lift in the Riad but the hotel staffs will carry your luggage for you upstairs. The hotel provided welcome drinks (mint tea) and biscuits for you. The hotel staffs (especially the manager) were friendly and helpful, the manager speaks English well. We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel provided different breads / cakes as breakfast for us everyday so we wouldn't get bored. The breakfast tasted nice. The Riad located in a very quite area, you won't even hear any mosque announcement. Some negative sides of this Riad: 1/ There are many ants in the room. 2/ There is no shower door, you may need to take this into account if you are going with a friend. 3/ The water pressure of the shower head was very little 2 nights out of our stay. 4/ The room is quite small, just managed to open two luggage in the double room.
Stay Here!!
This Riad was amazing!!!! The staff was the nicest, most welcoming staff I've ever come across. The food from the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend this riad.
The most amazing staff and beautiful room. Also great food. Would recommend to anyone.
Small and friendly
I loved staying at this Riad. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The property is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures but we found it very comfortable. We had no issues at all and would happily return.
From Toronto to Marrakech
Beautiful riad, quiet location just a short walk from the main market. The service was great, the room very nice. The city is very very busy and safe, the people of Morocco are genuinely so friendly. Great riad to stay in to experience Marrakech.
Nice riad
This is a nice little riad in the middle of a busy market area. A short walk from the taxi stop. Riad staff are welcoming, but the location of this riad is not that great. Breakfast is ok.. consists of some pastry and cake. no toasts. Had dinner once, bit dearer. But there are nice places in the centre to eat. Taxi is readily available, but not that cheap. All in all the stay was ok.
L'Oriental
L'Oriental Riad was a quaint stay. We really enjoyed the ambiance of this place in the evenings. Dinner was delicious. I do have to say the rooms are quiet small, but not something that bothered me during the stay. The Riad is a walk away from the souks and a 5-8 minute walk to some of the most trendier restaurants in the souks. I would recommend this Riad to someone who would like to enjoy a more personal stay as staff really make you feel at home.
Beautiful Riad
Upon arrival we were made to feel at home. Mint tea, pastries and staff who would go above and beyond to ensure you had everything you need. The rooms are delightful, the rooftop a wonderful place to relax after a busy day. The food in the riad is amazing! The aroma as it cooks smells wonderful. If you’ve never had a hammam, here is the place to have it! Lovely little spa with fantastic treatments available. This riad is a five minute walk from the souks were you will find lots of local products. A wonderful stay, can’t wait to come back!
Beautiful courtyard
The courtyard was beautiful and well-maintained with a big swimming pool. The staff was helpful in tracing my missed luggage. Overall, it was a nice stay though it seemed a bit commercial.
