Great check in, quiet and clean.
Very clean and friendly motel. We felt very welcome and safe after a long drive with our little one. Owner Clark is very honest, he even refunded us $11 as we were charged online for our daughter…. He said he didn’t charge for kids… thanks Clark!
Friendly Owner, went out of his way to please me. As a Senior Lady travelling alone with 2 tiny dogs it was greatly appreciated.
Clark was Amazing!! By far the Best service and motel we have stayed in across Canada! It is so amazing to see someone take such pride in thier establishment!! Super clean, super comfy! We will be back!!!
Room was very clean, comfortable and convenient on our trip.
Clean, quiet, friendly. Older place but they work hard to make it good.
Very friendly, clean and easy going peopl
Good quality
I had a good stay, I would just say bring a sleep mask as there is only blinds no curtains and it doesn’t get dark enough at night.
The owner was really nice and gave us a larger room however, the place could use a major upgrade.
Clean
Good experience clean rooms
Clean, easy access, quiet, friendly staff, great location to stop and rest
Friendly owners, convenient location right off the highway, clean facilities
Welcoming
Quaint little motel in a small town with minimal services available. The owner was extremely welcoming and couldn’t have been nicer.
Clean and roomy washroom. Very nice and neat room, including almost everything you need, like a microwave, coffee maker and a fridge. Very welcoming staff, who was basically the owner.
Host was very accommodating and friendly. Outside did not impress but room was fine.
Fairly priced, bed was awful...
Friendly staff, yet the room was comfortable at best -- the TV was very good yet the bed, and particularly the mattress, was awful...
Just genuinely friendly locale. Couldnt ask for more. Accomodating does describe the attitude here
It was perfect. They also gave me a great deal and up graded my room
The best option to stay in Longlac
Longlac is a small city, with no fancy hotels or restaurants. It was my second stay this year at this motel, and both times I had a great experience. Staff is super friendly, room is clean, Wi-Fi has good signal and there are plenty of channels on TV. If you feel like watching a movie, there is also a DVD player in the room, and there are lots of DVDs for free at reception.
The accommodations were clean, the staff were helpful and friendly and we would definitely stay there again if we were in Longlac.
Great stay
The hotel, while small, has been updated and was very clean with pleasant staff. We would stay there again.
Nice, friendly motel
L’oree des bois is a good option in an out-of-the-way place. The owner is very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and had better amenities than you might expect for Longlac Ontario. Overall you get good value and we would stay there again very happily.
Large comfy room
Large comfy room fridge a little noisy but other wise a great stay. Staff was friendly.
Welcome Rest Stop
I stayed at the L'Oree des Bois on a long trip out west. It was a welcome sight at the end of a long journey. I was provided with a warm welcome at the desk and given advice for dinner options. The room was spacious, the wifi quick, and the television worked really well. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've had but otherwise everything was great. The couch was in great shape - maybe I should have tried it instead! It was a great convenient place to stay in the area and I would certainly return.
The owner checked me in. Friendly, fast service. Will recommend to others
Happy with the service and room thank you for opening up after 2am and having a room ready much appreciated after a 22.5 hr day
Great Stay!
Give this motel two thumbs up! Nothing fancy but very clean and comfortable. Innkeeper was super accommodating, friendly and helpful. Pet friendly, we have two dogs and there was lots of area to walk them. Right on Hwy 11 as you drive into Longlac can't miss it. TV has tons of channels, wifi, very relaxing after driving 10 hrs. Good work Clark!
Clark had the heat turned up for us, and a lamp on. He was very accommodating. In his words, "If there's anything that isn't right about the room, let me know and I'll take care of it. I don't want your money unless you're completely satisfied." I never found out whether he would keep that promise - the room was perfect.
Had a long day of driving so was thankful when Johnny did a quick and easy check in. The room was exactly what I needed and then some, clean and comfy with a great bed. Thanks to Clark for the quick chat after I made my reservation and then following up leading to my arrival... Great stay. Thanks again.
Excellent
Courtesy and cleanliness with professionalism exemplify this jewel of a motel on Hwy 11 in Longlac ON. Thanks Clark!
I travel across canada I stop there in the evening he help me to find a room for a night It was perfect I sleep well It was quiet
Great place!
Host was extremely friendly and helpful, room was clean, comfortable, and had lots of room. Would definitely stay again whenever passing through.
Very good option for a stay in Longlac
The motel is very clean, and the rooms are very spacious. In the room there is an office, an eating space, a mini living room and even adding a queen size bed it still does not look crowded. Bathroom is clean and spacious too. Longlac is not big, so you can find restaurants in walking distance if you prefer.
Good night sleep.
I travel every two weeks and always need a place to stay half way of my travel distance. This motel was clean and comfortable.
Very poor service
Calls never answered, they offered a coffee, but there are creams and sugar but no coffee at all. Tried to communicate but??
Longlac
Was ok
Fair price and reasonable value
Checked in last minute and the desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room is basic but so is the price. Everything you need really and a reasonable rate. Room was clean and in good order. Ample towels, linens and soaps. Would stay again
Good Night
We had a good night but the bed was not the best. It was quiet and we felt safe.
Room was clean and large. Good bed. There was no coffee in the room.
Adequate hotel
I chose this hotel because of its high rating on the web. On expedia, it was clearly indicated that check-in was after 2 pm. When I got to the hotel at 3:30 pm the door to the office was locked but there was a sign on the door with a number to call. So I called the number from my cell phone and I reached someone who told me check-in was at 5 pm regardless of what Expedia said. Eventually someone showed up in the office before I left to find another accommodation. The rest of the stay was adequate but did not warrant the high rating I had seen.
Confortable
I enjoy a good night and rest in good and pleasant area. Ristored my energy in order to complet an long trip to Quebec
Clean place to stay overnight as you travel through the area.
Okay stay for this area
This is a basic motel along a highway. Rooms relatively large with love seat and easy chair plus table for eating in. Trucks park on the frontage road in front of hotel. Bed comfortable. Wonderful eating at Longlac Pizza up Main Street a bit. Try choc explosion cheesecake. Rustic Caesar salad also very good.
Above and beyond service
It very convenient being right beside the hwy. Stopped for the night with wife and 2 kids under 2. From the moment we checked in the owner was very accommodating. Offered us movies to watch many of which included new ones for the kids. Gave us a choice of two beds or one bed and a sitting area. Room was nicely layed out with the standard tea, coffee, fridge. Tv was larger than expected. Overall we were pleasantly surprised and wouldn't hesitate to stay here if we passed through again.
a little deceiving from the outside but nicely renovated inside and very clean and friendly staff
Had to recontact hotel due to double payment for one night. Otherwise good with 42 inch TV.
It was very clean
I have stayed in many hotels in rural areas. This one was a bit run down, but they made up for it in cleanliness. I found the experience pleasant.
Hospitable
The owner was courteous and accommodating. The room although a bit dated was clean and roomy (the ceiling fan in the bathroom needs to be replaced or serviced.) The room was a bit chilly into the early evening and it appeared that the baseboard heaters were not operating. However, after a few hours they gave off heat making our room cozy overnight. (It may be that the system was on a timer or needed to be reset). We particularly enjoyed the opportunity to browse a DVD collection in the office to watch in our room. We also appreciate that this location is pet friendly. A new Keurig coffee maker was installed upon our arrival which was enjoyed by my spouse prior to our departure in the morning. Given the time of year the yard was muddy and unfortunately for the cleaning staff we tracked in a bit of dirt on our boots. I have no reservation recommending this motel (no pun intended).
Decent place to rest on your way
I was pleased and assured upon my arrival by the kind and generous service we received after a 1:30am arrival. Arrived with a dog and was accommodated not a problem even though the reservation didn't indicate my dog was with us!
