Comfortable and clean
Very comfortable, clean and friendly service. Room was tight but I was only there for 1 night. Nice to have a restaurant available
The only thing I didn't like about this property was the shower. There wasnt any proper tiling which meant the whole bathroom got soaked. There are as not a toilet brush and the water was either too hot or too cold!
It is within walking distance of the LCY airport - 5 min walk, but through a not so nice area (but safe). The staff were exceptional, especially Paulo (reception) and Krisztina (cafe). The room was clean with very comfortable bed, but cramped. The cafe has a delicious gluten free cooked breakfast for a fee. But gluten free options a very limited for dinner. It’s a good option for an overnight stay to catch a flight at LCY.
Odd hotel
Slightly old hotel. Was asked for £100 deposit in case I smashed up the room! In the morning to get my hundred pound deposit back after 10 minute wait to reception the guy finally turned up and actually went to check the room Despite having prepaid for the room The room itself is very small but adequate Whilst there is no doubt that this is close to London City Airport, the walk from the airport through a housing estate and through a dark path
Staff were lovely
Noisy
Very noisy. Was awake from 4 am listening to running water down internal drain from floor above for 2 hours. Also when water tap used elsewhere the pipes hummed loudly. Not great if you want a quiet night. The DLR that runs outside was really quiet! Otherwise staff friendly and price reasonable.
Really convenient for the airport
This is a budget hotel, rooms are quite small, but it’s modern and well maintained, so good value for the price. Food is basic but ok, service is very good. Location to the airport is also good. Great for a one night stay, for one person in the room. A couple might find it cramped.
Very impersonal hotel
Overall okay but not much spacious for couple
Good enough
Quick and nothing fancy. It was the cheapest reasonable hotel I could find near the airport and it was ok
The hotel is spotless and the staff are polite A bit far from the centre but easy to reach
Thin walls
Nicely deviated room and the bed was appetising comfy. The walls are not well sound insulated though so you can hear every word said in the next rooms
The hotel restaurant and bar were both very good the grilled chicken wings and fries combo was tasty and filling. A good selection of soft drinks and beers are available too. Thclean, but it was also very basic. No counter space for toiletries in the bathroom. Good hotel for my one night stay. And the staff was excellent too room was v
Perfect for the airport, quite nice but small.
This hotel is nicely very close to London City Airport.
Nice and friendly
Hotel is in a great place near London City Airport and rail station so noise is inevitable but it was minimal. Lovely hotel, staff really helpful and friendly. If you need the excel or airport perfect place to stay
Outdated, cheap and cramped.
Bed too small. Shower not hotel class lino type floor done as cheap as you can get. The smell!!!! Seemed like the air con was fed via the toilets. New bigger beds, single rooms not marketed as double rooms, bathroom facilities updated and fragrance throughout hotel would make the stay bearable.
Clean, friendly staff, easy walk to the airport
A basic but comfy hotel a quick walk from London City Airport. Lovely warm and welcoming staff, and a nice bar area. Comfortable night.
This is perfect for anyone flying from City Airport. It's literally next to the taxi rank. 4 minutes walk to the terminal. Staff is friendly, its a nice bar and restaurant.
The City Airport Hotel.
Enjoyed our weekend stay at the Airport City Hotel. The service was very good. The room & Hotel very clean, plenty of storage for short stay. The bathroom shower OK but did flood the floor somewhat. The hotel staff very helpful. Food very good. especially the breakfast, But I don't have any dietary issues, The only negative issue in my opinion is that the hotel is somewhat isolated from nearby shops & restaurants. Would certainly stay there again.
An excellent little hotel so close to the airport but tucked away from the busy roads.
Good place to stay close to LCY Airport.
Good friendly efficient welcome to a clean and well equipped if small en-suite room. Only negative was the very limited menu for supper. But staff good and location is perfect for LCY airport.
Close to LCY
The lobby was elegantly appointed and provided a cozy ambiance. However, the room was notably diminutive, and the beds were uncomfortable. One side of the mattress exhibited a significant indentation, and the sheets were stained with discoloration, as well as visible hairs and unidentified particles that could potentially originate from food or dead skin. The shower’s heating process was protracted, requiring approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach an adequate temperature. Furthermore, the shampoo and shower gel provided were essentially the same hand soap that was accessible at the sink. The only redeeming qualities of this establishment were its proximity to London City Airport, its convenient location adjacent to bus stops, and its relative quietness. In light of these observations, I must express my reluctance to revisit this establishment in the future. There are slightly more expensive options in the relative area that offer better amenities.
Warm welcome. Clean and tidy room and everything worked. Didn't try the food options though.
Train tracks next to it. Property rattles
Friendly, clean and very convenient .. great place
As for a room that is not facing the railway line
It was close to the transport hub.
Great little spot if your catching an early flight. Bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in in ages
Very close to City Airport, the reason why I booked it. The room was very small though and not very modern. Proximity to the rail line is an issue for noise. Generally okay - convenience most important element.
newish hotel, nice inside. mins walk LCY airport
The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. It is 3 min walk to london city airport which was convenient. The area is not so pleasant and at night there was not so much nearby. Just a shop with lots of youth hanging out and 1 chicken takeaway and a nice looking indian restaurant. The room was clean. The bed will need replacing soon. The strangest thing was the size of the hallways and bathroom. The hallways were maybe 1 metre wide and to get into the shower you have to scrape between the toliet roll holder and toilet. Anyone one bigge thatn me would struggle. I am a small woman.
The door to my room didn't properly open, so the staff had to ram it open every time I wanted to get back in my room. And for some reason the AC did nothing. However, the staff definitely tried to make my experience enjoyable and they were very kind. I was able to walk to many restaurants and things around the town.
Ok
Bed was regular double size (too small) with nightstands extending too far so every turn in the night you whack it with your arm. Service was ok but felt the staff were new/ unsure what was going on/temps maybe. Couldn't get in the room as handle was very dodgy. Didn't change rooms, just told us to push handle really hard, unacceptably trally hard!
Perfect hotel if you need a sudden lay over
Rooms are small. Unable to get down one side of bed as it was pushed against outside wall. Not able to move the bed further into the room due to bilt in furniture.
The sink could be a bit bigger
A nice quiet hotel close to the airport.
Convenient for LCY
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from London City Airport so it's really convenient. The hotel is modern. The room was fine, a bit small for the price but OK for one night. The room and bathroom were clean.
Not really good enough
The pictures and lobby look nice but the rooms are very basic and the beds + bedding are very poor. Whilst it was clean, friendly and very convenient for LCY, i would not stay again.
Very clean room with basic facilities. Comfortable bed. Staff really friendly and food in restaurant was excellent and good value. So convenient for the airport but we had a job finding the short cut through at first but is only nearly 5 minutes away. It’s a brilliant location for a short stay when using the airport.
Hidden hotel perfect walking distance
Never knew this hotel was there. 3 min walk from airport and DLR. Served it's purpose. Comfortable and clean.
close to London city airport
It was okay for sleeping for a night- very close to London city airport - 5 mins walk. I paid heavy amount but for a decent price- decent hotel
The only criticisms are the lack of a shower door and the lack of a shelf in the bathroom
Basic and clean/ does the job. Surrounding area residential nothing really to wander to or eat at. Hotel bar did an ok burger. It was reasonably priced and I got reasonable. So good.
Sh1t hole - do not book
Terrible service. Noisy rooms, £100 extra for dam limitation , absolute insult. Wants ID yo check in. Came by train , sont drive and wouldn’t need my passport Bad area and very poor service
Fine for purpose required!
Great option for the airport. Clean, tidy, comfortable and convenient
BAD...Inconsiderate, untruthful desk staff
room was very small with tiny bathroom shower and sink did not drain properly. Staff "insists" on housekeeping every 3 days whether needed or not. ...and front desk staff member had no consideration about calling my room at 8am to insist this (i work late and had do not disturb sign up) Then this man lied about it when I went to frontdesk. inconsiderate...and a Liar!
We stayed for one night in May as we had an early flight from London City Airport the following morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was very comfortable and the hotel is extremely convenient for the airport. We would certainly recommend it.
Great location for access to London City airport.
It's quick and accessible to the airport. The room, is ok. My room 305, had a hard "metal" protrusion coming up from the carpet that could have ruined my day has a stepped on that without my shoes on. Be mindful.
Pre-Flight Stay
Clean, comfortable room. Easy check-in. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar.
Flight from London City Airport
Noisy room with street light outside our bedroom window Staff very friendly and helpful Perfect location for London City Airport
Uncomfortable bed, had to pay for extra towels
Good hotel - slight niggles
The hotel was fine - very convenient for the activities we ahd planned... my only compaint was that the window in my room didn't shut properly so the proximity of the train line was annoying, but didn't keep me awake too much. Also, the breakfast was priced at £17 - that seemed a lot so we went elsewhere.
Very easy short walk from London City Airport. Room is plain but perfectly adequate for a short stopover. Extraordinary clean and very helpful staff
It’s ok for the price.
Good value airport hotel
Nice friendly hotel in a good location for flights from London City Airport. Friendly helpful staff on arrival, rooms a nice size and in good condition with most facilities needed. Will definitely stay here again
Air con is noisy during the night.
Bhf
This a extremely handy hotel for London City Airport. Less than 5 minute walk from the airport and DLR station - convenient day or night, or very early morning as in my case. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff laid back but helpful. Great value and super handy.
Absolutely perfect place to stay when wanting to be within walking distance of London City Airport. No complaints about the room and cleanliness, other than the shower doesn't seem to always stay hot, and the room perhaps isn't as soundproof as they suggest. I would still stay here again, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bathroom was small with no shower screen so whole floor, toilet a basic got soaked
Great Stay
The hotel is one that I know very well, that’s why I go back to stay there. The staff are really friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. All the amenities that you need are there and a silabl. Also, it is so close to the town which is marvellous, but still quiet enough from the hustle and bustle.
Exactly what is needed for a short business stay in very close proximity to the airport.
Friendly, competent and responsive staff
Lovely staff and very near dlr station
Ok but that's it
Was probably the smallest postage stamp I've ever stayed in, bed was uncomfortable and hot water was lukewa at best. Staff in the bar were slow to serve and food took too long to come out. They were very accommodating for baggage drops and the check-in and out was effectient, but I wouldn't stay again.
This is a great option if you need to be close to the airport. Room was small and bathroom a “compact” wet room arrangement but generally pretty good value. Very friendly reception staff.
Room was adequate for the one night stay that I needed.
Close to the airport - but that’s all
We stayed here to be ready for an early flight from city airport. The hotel seemed nice enough but the room was very basic. Small bed with really thin mattress and lots of noise from other guests passing by.
Lovely, compact hotel
A lovely little hotel with good food. Perfect for an overnight stay before a flight. Very compact rooms, but you don’t feel claustrophobic.
The room was spacious and the staff were very gracious to my needs
Air conditioning made a hell of a racket on and off all night
Not worth the price tag at all. So small that in the bathroom I couldn’t bend over without banging into something (sink, toilet roll holder etc) also it wasn’t stated that it was a wet room, not a shower, which I hate. a breakfast for £17 is laughable. No nearby restaurants so worth driving to somewhere else. Staff were very slow and check in was painful. Room was freezing when we got to it and heating hard to work out. Only plus is that we couldn’t hear the planes at all. Overall I do not recommend
Mixed thoughts and review
One night business stayover. Noise to be expected due to local airport, hence no problem. Dinner menu limited and sadly breakfast is an absolute rip off @ £17!. This unreasonably high breakfast charge, which i personally wouldnt pay, probably means i wont stay at this hotel in the future.
Very convenient, so close to London Cotu Airport. Friendly and helpful staff
Im not sure I will be returning
I booked for 1 night. On arrival I was asked for picture ID? Why? I gave them my name and booking ref?! They then made me fill out a form for them, and provide a signature? Weird! The room...304, was small. The window had a massive crack down it. The wet room vent didn't work so the steam travelled into the room and caused serious condensation. The wet room doesnt drain correctly so water remained all the way to the bathroom door edge into the room. In summary: It might appear affordable, but its not worth it. There are other hotels in the same area, better and cheaper.
I liked that the bedroom had everything I needed for my overnight stay. They ordered a taxi for the next morning as requested. The bedroom was very clean and staff polite and helpful.
I read the reviews and I was quite nervous about what to expect. Quite often, one little thing sets you off and you end up finding loads of faults. However, from the warm welcome to the check out, I needn’t have worried. The staff were great, facilities clean and available and the room itself was much better than I’d expected. Just shows you need to make your own judgement sometimes! The one issue I’d like to mention is if you are a nervous or lone traveller, the walking route from the DLR to the hotel might feel a bit intimidating. It’s not far though so don’t let this put you off.
Not catering for vegetarians
The breakfast is overpriced for a vegetarian breakfast. At £17.50 each for a bowl of cereal and a few croissants. There was no nut-based milk, only cows milk. For the rest we had an excellent stay.
Foul odour in reception
The smell of myang sticks in the reception area during chexk in was especially off putting. Staff were unfriendly. Did not appreciate the fact that there was nonpartition between the toilet and shower: toilet gets wet when showering! Defintely not worth the price!
Wouldn’t return
Bad bits 1.Stains on the pillow covers, making me feel I don’t want to sleep in the bed 2. Poor shower design, it’s next to the toilet so it get soaked needs a curtain etc 3.no wardrobe to hang your clothes 4. Bad smells from bathroom 5. I saw a rat in the underground car park Good bits 1 nice clean towels 2. Nice temperature in the room
Okaaaaay I guess, for a night
Arrived late evening for an early flight the next morning, so didn't really see or use any amenities. No parking, which was a bit of a pain, but there was a car park at the Henley Arms up the road which I ended up using. Tiny room and loo/shower, and one of the hardest mattresses I can remember sleeping on. Fine for LCY airport, although I can't think why else you'd stay here.
Friendly, comfortable and convenient hotel
London City Hotel - utterly abysmal
The hotel looks great from the outside. The reception and communal areas are all relatively stylish. Its location is handy for public transport. However, this is where the good stuff comes to a shuddering halt. The staff are monosyllabic at best. The room was extremely small and impractical, with very little shelf space and storage. The bathroom was a wetroom and again had little or no shelf room for toiletries. My towel was so thin and over-used it had a hole in and was stained. Our curtain was thin meaning that it was largely ceremonial and for decorative purposes only. It kept very little light out. I am at a loss to know exactly when the room was cleaned properly as there was a layer of dust over the surfaces. If you are flying from London City Airport and need a bolthole, avoid this place as God knows where you would store your luggage and actually be able to manouevre around your room as well. If you are using the hotel for business and would work from your room, avoid it due to the lack of usable space.
Close to London City Airport ( I mean you can walk there easily!) Food is on the expensive side, espicially breakfast. There are not many food option options in that area, which is quite industrial and residential.
Only a short walk away from London City Airport--so convenient!
Nice hotel
The only slight gripe was that it took ages for hot water to come through.
I appreciate the hotel being close to the airport. I really liked the room but the I was skeptic about the area.
Had the ultimate brst chicken dalad ever
The person waited for to check, I was late g go if the check in due to flight delay.
not bad
1st room offered was claustraphobic, decent sz bed, tiny room, no space around bed. Nowhere to put anything out suitcase. None of the photos show this tiny room . They offered me a biger rom, but wanted to charge me extra £20, but i said I would ring Hotels.com as the room was not like the photos - misleading advertising - then the staff told me the website only shows photos of he more expensive rooms. Eventually got offered a bigger room ,same price. Also the towel rail heated rack was not working in new room , so had wet towels for the 2 days. The window did not open which was a little odd. The air con was fab an the bed very comfy. The coffee was really awul, snack very overpriced an bfast was dismal for £14. The staff were very nice. it was very clean. Quite quiet
Very friendly, helpful staff. Good dining options. No shelf for toiletries or hooks for clothes in the bathroom. Bed too close to the wall so easy to hurt your toes on the corners. But still we enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back. Very convenient for London City Airport.
Small clean room 10 minutes walk from LCY airport. Three stories, air-conditioned with elevator access, located next to rail line & easy access to DLR station at airport. Bathroom is a wet room with no shower screen or curtain & no face washers. Chosen on price & easy walk for early morning flight.

Very convenient for the airport, friendly staff & food was really good quality & value.
