I considered Fairmont properties and Wedgewood for our 4 day stay in the city and am beyond thrilled we ultimately stayed at The Loden. I will certainly stay here again

Very wonderful property !!!

Great service. From the call a few days before our arrival to the bottle of prosecco and a personal note to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The room was amazing. The Tableau restaurant and bar were prefect. Top it off with a great location. Thanks to the whole staff (the turndown service was a nice surprise too).

I was disappointed with the hotel especially for the price. It was dated and tired.

We arrived at 10:00am this morning after getting off a cruise. The walk from the cruise port is walkable, but on a slight hill. It took us about 15 minutes walking briskly. Once we arrived, we were greeted by two very kind staff members. David assisted us, checking us in. Since regular check-in is not until 15:00 (3:00pm), he was kind enough to store our bags including backpacks. He furthermore offered us water and/ or coffee that is readily available in the lobby. David also offered a map of Vancouver including interesting sights and restaurants around to make our trip more enjoyable. He ensured us to call once the room was ready and assured us that our bags would be moved as soon as the room is ready. Our room was ready at 14:45 (2:45pm). When we got back to the hotel, we were informed that we were upgraded from a Signature Corner Room to the Aura 1-Bedroom Suite. The Suite (1201) on the 12th floor is exquisitely furnished. We are thrilled to be staying in this wonderful Suite at the Loden Hotel. Featuring a coffee bar with seating area, TV and sofa sectional, an amazing bathroom and comfortable king-bed in a gorgeous bedroom, this suite truly has everything one could ask for. However, it is the small touches that make the stay truly special. The Loden offers a pillow menu, paying special attention to comfort and relaxation. The staff is incredibly attentive, assisting with ice for beverages or assisting with choosing coffee at the Nescafé coffee maker, and more.

Great room, great service, treated like rock stars.

I would stay there again over all the more well known named hotels

Central location close to Coal Harbour seawall, lots of shopping and numerous great dining options. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was on par with a 5 star hotel. Valet parking was efficient. Even though the Loden is in the middle of downtown, Melville is one of the quieter streets and the hotel itself is very quiet. In-room Nespresso coffee and a small daily snack were nice touches. We had dinner at the adjacent Tableau Bar Bistro on our last evening and wished we had tried it sooner. It was so good! We will be back.

The staff people were welcoming and remembered our names. They offered helpful restaurant recommendations. The bed was comfortable and I felt as if I were sleeping on a cloud. The neighborhood felt safe and was relatively central. Five stars all around.

I had a fantastic experience at the Loden. It is a great property and clearly very carefully designed. However what really made the experience stand out was the staff, especially the personal care and attention shown to each guest and the many thoughtful details included throughout my stay, that made me feel right at home. It’s been a long time since I had such a wonderful experience at a hotel. I will definitely return.

Our room was glorious

Everything we like in a city hotel. We especially appreciated the location, that we could bring our dog, and it had a good fitness center. Team is fantastic and our corner room was nice. Our dog loved looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows. We hadn’t planned at eating at the attached restaurant but we did and enjoyed our meal. Overall, stay was great and would love to return.

Perfect stay at the Loden Hotel

Fantastic hotel with even better staff. Everyone was exceptional with their service especially Maisie in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was perfect and in a great location for walking to everything

We stayed at the Loden to celebrate my husband's 50th. Our room was beautiful and we appreciated the special touches that helped to make the weekend feel celebratory. Everything really was perfect and the Loden will be our first choice of hotel next time we are in Vancouver.

The Loden was incredible. The location and restaurant is wonderful, and the staff is top notch. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Their customer service and small touches to make you comfortable were unparalleled.

The staff at this hotel is so welcoming and friendly. We love how well they looked after us and everything was wonderful. The room was clean and beautiful. The location is great for a little walk either into town or even to Stanley Park. It's the second time staying for us and we look forward to coming back. Shoutout to Julia at the front desk who was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable during our stay.

Oh my gosh, this hotel was AMAZING. Super cute boutique place with walkable to great restaurants and attractions. But what made it top, top notch was the staff! The kindest, most caring and genuine staff my sister and I had both ever experienced! Giving us hand towels when we came in, water, snacks, making sure our plans were all set. Helped me with fabulous restaurant recommendations. Everything was perfect. Wow, Loden people- you all rock! Thank you so much!!!

Lovely service!

Now one of my favorite hotels. The people who work there are the best. They are genuinely very nice and friendly - all of them. The hotel Is beautiful and the atmosphere is very nice and even the restaurant was excellent. I loved the atmosphere in the hotel and restaurant. But, I have to say, the people who work there are tremendous. I’m 58 and well-traveled. Collectively, they are amazing in every regard and that will stick with me forever. I’ve never had help from such amazing people before.

We loved our stay at The Loden. The hotel is decorated with a cool vibe and the room was very comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and helpful with everything. The bed was well appointed and ordering from the pillow bar was easy. Bedding was superb. Wonderful stay at a beach hotel.

Second stay in 2 weeks and this hotel is still as perfect as it was 2 weeks ago. I love phoning reception and being greeted by name. I love arriving back after a long day and being greeted as a friend. I love how all the screws in the light fittings point upwards and i love how the lift always seems to be open on the ground floor for a quick rise to the room.

Best Boutique Hotel in Vancouver!

My wife and I stay at the Loden every time we visit Vancouver (three times per year) it is a gem in the heart of the city, steps away from the best coffee, great shopping, and just a few blocks to the most beautiful waterfront of any city in North America. All the staff members are caring, professional, thoughtful and helpful... the Loden defines Hospitality.

One of the most welcoming, thoughtful hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment you walk in you are met with the moor genuine hospitality from everyone who works there and there are so many thoughtful touches in the room and hotel itself. My partner and I got engaged prior to staying and we were met with a bottle of Prosecco and desert upon entering our room and note. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent and great location. Really liked it was smaller than the Fairmont or Pan Pacific, which we have stayed at before, much more personalized. Staff was wonderful! French restaurant, Tableau Bar Bistro, was fabulous.

A really lovely boutique hotel. Chic design, warm, friendly staff, great restaurant, luxurious amenities, and of course a central location in Vancouver's downtown. I want to call out for special mention the staff who accommodated us in the VIP Lounge when our flight was rescheduled. It was much nicer to wait there than at the airport. One area for improvement: the bathroom sink is too small even as it extends several inches past the edge of the countertop. Water is not contained in that area, and the faux wood cladding shows years of water damage. This is a design problem more than a maintenance problem. Also, I encourage the Loden to dispense with travel-size plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc., and to embrace more eco-friendly options.

The hotel is very comfortable and well located. But our room was never made up before our return from lunch. The parking is absurdly expensive in view of the room price.

We loved everything about this hotel: the location, stylish and comfortable room, beautiful view, exceptional welcome from the staff, and attention to detail such as a bottle of iced lemon water and little treats by our bed each night. We reserved bikes for a ride to Stanley Park - free to guests of the hotel.

Give this small boutique hotel a try!

We typically stay at one of the larger, corporate hotels in Vancouver when we visit... but close friends in Seattle recommended the Loden, in Vancouver, suggesting it is a gem of a small hotel (77 rooms). AND THEY WERE RIGHT! We loved everything about the Loden on our recent visit; the staff are super friendly, the rooms are clean, well designed, the bed is comfortable. Nothing is missing! 10 out of 10 stars!

Great hotel will stay again

We made a last minute reservation on evening of check in. On arrival there was a miscommunication between Expedia and the hotel and there were unfortunately no rooms available. The manager and staff were extremely helpful and managed to solve the issue and find us a room. We were quite fortunate to have that manager there to help!

Beautiful hotel in a great location as it is walkable to many wonderful parts of the city. Stanislav at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. Rooms are very nice and plenty of room to store out things. Nice having the adjacent restaurant to enjoy a breakfast or cocktail, etc

The Loden was a great place to stay on our anniversary trip. It’s conveniently located in the downtown area. Just a short walk to the water and Stanley Park. The staff was excellent and took care of everything we needed. We highly recommend staying here on your trip to Vancouver!
