Literally on the Thames! Walk to the Tate, the Globe, steps from the tube-wonderful
Cramped room and pricey for what it is
Micro studio is tiny. We had to request a second chair and could barely fit it in the space. Weird lighting scheme where corridors are barely lit and rooms have minimal lighting. Was expecting more given the price tag. Good location, but you might be more comfortable in another hotel in the area.
Stayed at the broken wharf with 7 others during our family trip to England and we all loved it. The rooms were the perfect size and had kitchens which allowed us to be able to cook our own food. The staff were friendly and the building is located right next to the millennium bridge which is perfect if you’re a fan of walking because you can easily access both sides of the river thames. If I ever go to London again I’ll be staying here.
Great NYE Stay
We spent a week in London to celebrate New Year’s Eve and our 31st anniversary. We loved having a kitchen and a great view from the river view room. The location is excellent. Max and Leanne were great at check-in and throughout the stay. We would stay here again.
The place itself was fantastic and great value to be right by Millennium Bridge! Rooms were clean, gym was new(ish), and had everything you could want in a hotel. Only issue was a lack of hot water (not sure what the issue was)!
Nice location, could walk to many interesting sites. Front desk staff friendly and helpful
Terrible. No sleep because banging doors all night
Great location, superb river views and very quiet. Staff were great and really helpful.
Excellent location with friendly helpful staff. Some of the lighting in the room was usually situated meaning you couldnt see in cupboards or switch on lights without crawling over the bed. But otherwise, awesome location.
Superb apartments
I was greeted by Maria, very friendly and gave me all the relevant information. The appartment was lovely, clean and was well furnished. Excellent location, I would definitely recommend.
Great location, friendly staff, mediocre room.
Great location, being right on the Thames and therefore walkable to many places. Also, fairly useful to have a mini apartment, if staying for a while and needing to do washing, etc. However, I didn't really like the layout of the room, as it felt very cramped in the bedroom part and didn't have much natural light. Also, there were no bedside lights (only very bright lights above your head). Right outside the window of the lounge part, was a big building site (no fault of the hotel), but it was noisy in the day. The AC's on the 2nd floor were broken. Check-in was fairly late at 4PM.
Great little apartments in a really good quiet location. Plenty of transport links nearby and very walkable to plenty of tourist sights. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
The fact that it is an Aparthotel is convenient. The bed is very comfortable and the room was a good size and had everything we needed. The toiletries that were provided smelled nice. Overall we had a lovely stay.
Nice place on the river.
Nice place in central London. Quick walk to tube or bus stops.
Reasonable, comfortable, great location
Great location, friendly staff, and room was spacious and comfortable for my 6 day work trip. Only things missing were a bedside table and an exercise bike in the gym, otherwise a fantastic stay.
Poor Communication- Disruptive Construction
Completely disappointed in the lack of communication about construction outside the hotel. There was jack hammering 20 feet outside of my room window for three days in a row at 8am. No notice, no indication on the reservation. I would not recommend this hotel.
Great location
Great view, great location. Wonderful to have a small apt with a kitchen, washer/dryer, stove, microwave, etc.
When we arrived, Max was so welcoming and we lucked out with our room already being ready. Our room had everything we needed and we had a great view of the river and bridges. This hotel is in a terrific location to get to Borough Market, St.Pauls cathedral, Sky Garden, Horizon 22 and Tower Bridge just to name a few places. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed in a city studio and it was nice to have a kitchenette. The couch wasn’t particularly comfortable, but the room was clean. The shower was a nice size. The bed was up against the wall so you have to crawl over the other person if you need to get up in the middle of the night. They clean once a week, which was fine. The staff was very nice. I liked that there was a cafe on the ground floor but wished it was open a bit later than 6 pm.
I like the location.
Amazing space for London!
What an absolute gem of a property with very friendly staff and easy access to Thames Uber Boats, Underground, or the walking path along the bank of the Thames. Definitely worth booking.
Noise made this a disappointment
Great in every way apart from the noise. Building works all day and sadly I had specifically booked the hotel for a quiet space to work. No compensation was offered only a justification that it was the council and they hadn’t advised. Still I am paying for a quiet space.
Perfect Home away from Home
A fantastic property for a central London stay. Room had cooking facilities hob and microwave as well as a fridge. Ideal if you don’t want to eat out or get in a takeaway for those stays longer than a night or two. Will definitely stay again when in London.!
Wonderful experience right on the river. Clean, great staff, very convenient location.
We stayed for five nights and loved the full kitchen, shower, lush bath towels, and the location right next to Millenium Bridge.
Nice building and staff, but not clean
They didn’t clean our room properly before we checked in (trash left under the sink, floss left all over the place), and the lighting in the room was pretty bad- it was dark even when everything was turned on. The staff was nice and the building is nice, but I wouldn’t stay again.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and overall it was a nice hotel. A few negatives: the room lighting was interesting - little holes in the ceiling barely providing any light and the couch was an odd shape and not very comfy. Also, in the bathroom the light kept flickering, the handheld shower was leaking, and the towel warmer didn't work. However the hotel is in an excellent location - less than a ten minute walk from the subway and a great view of the millennium bridge. Also the staff were very friendly! The issues we faced were minimal overall and I think this place is worth the stay.
Excellent location and views from the room. Great room design
Great location with a helpful and friendly staff!
Great Hotel
The view from the riverside apartment was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for us. We’d definitely come back!
Spacious accommodation and good service
Great service and lovely accommodation, with everything as described. Our room was quiet, and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. I also received details an information email a few days before check-in which was full of helpful information.
Great location and a great room with a lovely view of the Thames. Staff was very helpful and lovely. Would recommend and stay again.
Great location, directly opposite the Tate Modern. Very quiet stay, which is ideal - no noise from other rooms or people returning at night. Very friendly and welcoming staff at check in and the room was furnished beautifully
A room with a view
Lovely people and awesome View across the river. Thank you for the stay.
We were impressed by the staff at the front desk. They were very welcoming when we arrived, and acknowledged us every time we entered and exited the hotel during the six days we stayed there.
Really friendly staff, good size room, beautifully designed interior - both the lobby and the room itself. Will stay again
Have stayed here many times and always love it. Helpful staff, right on the Thames and lovely rooms.
View of River Thames
A cool and hip aparthotel along River Thames. Stayed in a 3 person room that had a washer dryer in it, so that was very convenient. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The hotel is decent and has great staff! It’s clean with free laundry. I would recommended it.
Excellent hotel in a great location for an affordable price.
Good hotel
It was a good hotel that was clean and comfortable, though my wife did not like the pillows. The best part was the fully equipted kitchen. It had a mini dishwasher, fridge, stove, oven, sink and washer dryer. The only downside was that it was not well lit. The hallways were even worse when it came to lighting - very dim. Overall it was a good room with some pluses for a reasonable price ( for London England). It was also in a very good location.
Very nice hotel with above and beyond amenities, though a couple things were missing from my city studio like facial tissue, and the microwave oven needed instructions that were not provided. The room had a dedicated seating area with a small but functional kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was an excellent use of space despite being small, with a high-end shower. One significant thing to note about this place is the fact that it is at the level of the water, so there was no way that I found not to take stairs up to leave or down to come back. Nor is the path to the nearest tube station very straightforward, as it runs through a small alley and is not comfortable in the dark if walking solo. Instructions should be provided at check-in on how to cross the street, as there is a big divider at the street level that cannot be crossed by pedestrians and you may need to go around it for some time. I don't think this place would be very comfortable to reach for anyone with difficulty walking or carrying suitcases down flights, or anyone who wants quick access to public transport. I didn't think that much of the location either - it was supposed to be exciting but I found it kind of a ghost town compared with other parts of London.
It was very central to key tourist attractions in central London. It was walkable to many of these historic places and close to a Tube Station. There were issues with the microwave - but the front desk was very responsive and fast in responding.
The hotel and the room itself were great - clean, quiet, and welcoming. However, the check in process was terrible. We arrived early in the morning and our room was not ready yet since check in wasn’t until 4pm; the person checking us in said we could leave our luggage and the room would likely be ready before 4pm and they would send us a message. No message ever received. We came back to the hotel room at 4pm and our room STILL was not ready. They told us to wait 15 minutes. STILL not ready after that. We ended up not getting into our room until 4:45pm. They compensated us with 4 free drink tickets to use at the cafe. We had to rush to get ready for our dinner reservation that night. Terrible check in experience.
Welcoming was warm and inviting! Max looked after us and nothing was a hassle. Very happy! Coffee and breakfast was delicious. Everything was in close proximity. Very pleased
Excellent location! Close to several sites to visit. We came from out of the country and were not familiar with some of the technology and needed to ask how to get the lights on in the room!! Definitely would stay again, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay in downtown London at a reasonable price. Just off Millenium Bridge across the Thames from the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern.
We had a fantastic stay. The staff Was very helpful with anything we ask of them. We really loved Max, he helped us almost everyday with something. Would definitely stay there again.
Great value
Specious, in room washer and dryer was big plus for us. Specious shower. Walkable for many tourist attractions. To get there with big luggage was tough by train. Too many stairs. Best way to get there was going through The Westin hotel. Mattress was too soft for me.
Good services
Helpful and easy to get around from this location. The rooms have everything you need. Gym is good for a time away workout and the laundry is a huge bonus. Always friendly staff, would 10/10 stay here again!
Front desk very helpful and cheerful especially Max. Loved the free guest laundry and location and views were amazing!
Really nice rive view room! Good kitchen appliances and washer and dryer! We are so satisfied with the hotel!
The only thing that I didn't like is that the dryers takeca long time to dry your clothes. Other than that, everything else was awesome! The staff especially!
Hotel had a apart-hotel setup.
I like the kitchen and washer machine inside the unit. Close to San Paul's.
Great view, outstanding location, nice design for small but comfortable space
Great choice and value given its riverside location. Well equipped.
The room was really nice and the location was about 10 minutes from the metro.
Great location with transportation close by. Staff were extremely friendly and rooms super spacious. Highly recommend!
The stay at the broken wharf exceeded expectations. The staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to store bags and access the locations amenities early upon arrival. I would highly recommend staying here in the future. We will be back!
Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! Easy transportation to/from the Underground. Enjoyed our first few nights in London! Thank you
Locke at Broke Wharf review
Great little apartment, clean, tidy and in a great location
Laundry bonus
A little out the way but a great experience. Front desk staff was very helpful. The small kitchen meant saving on some meals. My double room would have been tight for two people. Free laundry in the basement. 4 washers and dryers with detergent in your room or the front desk.
Overall the stay was lovely. I personally didn’t find the bed or pillows overly comfy but that’s personal.
Nice hotel close to many things!
Staff was wonderful and extremely kind and helpful. Excellent location directly on the Thames, centered within quite a few attractions. Felt very safe and clean. Only unusual thing was no outlets near a mirror for curling hair, etc.
Comfortable stay but make it short - 4pm check in
The hotel is very nice, stylish, smelt lovely and came equipped with great amenities. The bed was also super comfortable. The only downside with the bed was that one side was against the wall. Not usually a fan of this when travelling as a couple as one person has to climb over the other if getting up in the night. My main issue with this hotel and what would actively make me not stay in future is the check in / check out time. Check in is at 4pm. This is the latest I’ve ever experienced anywhere round the world. I found this super inconvenient when planning my day. I could pay for the privilege of an ‘early’ check in which actually just brings it in line with the check in time at pretty much all other hotels in London but I’d probably just check in at another hotel in future. The check out is at 11am so it very much gives the feeling that they want guests in their hotel for as little as possible. The bedroom doors are very heavy fire doors with no sort of soft close. So if there was ever any doubt that you were going to miss your 11am check out, don’t worry because guests leaving early in the morning will ensure you’re shocked into waking up bright and early with doors being constantly slammed shut.
Central, comfy & good living space
Central location, comfy bed, nice lounge space with sofa & basic kitchen facilities, ideal for a couple of days
Nice hotel friendly staff
Nice clean hotel with friendly staff at great location.
Fantastic location with walking, biking, or transit options nearby and neat set up. Staff were easy to get ahold of and helpful and the room was set up to include great local recommendations and amenities.
Great Friendly Place, With Easy Access
Staff are amazing, they were extremely friendly and super helpful with helping you plan for the day. We were in town for the F1 race and some relaxation. They asked us each day about the race activities and gave us recommendation on food and pubs around the area. Rooms are smaller but very usable and location is great to Borough market and the trains. Much quieter area but easy to get to most of London. Will stay here again for future trips.
There was a used medical patch under our bed.
The best people ever work here, so friendly, so helpful, so understanding that you’ve traveled hours & hours from Pensacola Beach, FL, USA! Anything we needed they were there for us! Thank you from this southern USA girl as you British like to call me!
I’m not sure how this building was used before its present use as a hotel. It may have had some maritime purpose. I believe a backstory informing guests of its prior use would go a long way in explaining some of its idiosyncrasies. I felt safe, and the staff was warm and welcoming.
The property was nice & the customer service was great but the room we had was tiny, had no windows the bed was up against the wall. It didn’t feel like a hotel
Grat walkable area
We enjoyed our stay. The room is small but clean and comfortable. Easy access to transportation and you can walk to many site. The staff was friendly and helpful.
A hidden gem
The property is terrific! It's a little hidden gem. If you want a small kitchen (fridge, microwave and range) it is especially handy. We had the micro-suite which is exactly as it sounds, pretty small. Being from the U.S., we knew the room would be small, and it met that expectation. However, we were expecting a King bed, which is what was listed, and apparently, a King in U.K. is not what we call a King in the U.S. -- it was a Queen-sized U.S. bed. We survived. You can see the Globe Theatre from the front of the property - across the Thames. Not as many restaurants nearby as I would have liked, but we were able to get anywhere we needed to. The coffee shop in the lobby was great and the people running it friendly. The front desk personnel were helpful and engaging.
We had a hard time finding the property, but the location was good. Lots of stairs to the tube station. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. The free laundry facility was a major bonus!
What a gem! Incredible location, delightful staff at the 24-hour front desk, and a cozy, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere like a charming bed and breakfast.
Comfortably Cozy Rooms Close to the Action
Lovely little aparthotels right alongside the river and close to Millennium Bridge. Relatively “affordable” for London, particularly considering the location. We were able to watch Thames traffic from our room, which brought us a lot of pleasure. The room’s are really quite small (ours was 237 sq.ft), but nicely appointed with a kitchenette, kettle, small modular ‘love seat’ by the window. Good water pressure in the shower. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We will stay there again!
We loved its proximity to the Tate Modern! It was spotless, micro, and modern. I would only stay with more than one person for a couple of days, and it is a great little apartment for more extended individual stays.
Great staff service and equipped rooms.
Great little place to stay
The location is great , however the cleaning and garbage situation is terrible for longer stays
Great location.
The room only had one window that did not get any sunlight. The room was dark and felt extremely claustrophobic. Our first night, the air conditioner broke and it was 25° celsius in the room while we were sleeping. They told us a technician would come by the next day but they ended up moving us to a different room - thankfully. Still waiting on an update about a rebate for our first night. We spent 2 weeks at a different Locke location and it was great. This location was a huge disappointment overall.
Great location near Millinium Bridge and St Paul’s Cathedral. Easy walk to Mansion tube station.
Excellent location, on the river, easy walking to tourist sites and close to the tube. Great coffee shop in the lobby and perfect little kitchenette in room with washer/dryer. Very helpful and friendly staff including Nate! Highly recommended.
Absolutely love it! The boutique style, the smell, the style, the vibe and the walkable convenience. They have everything like a small beautifully-decored apartment. Next time I’ll try to use the kitchen;-)
We enjoyed our time.
Really well located and lovely property which was good value
Had a lovely 3 night stay! Place is super clean and quiet. Perfect base for exploring the city, close to transportation or walking anywhere near the river. Loved our river view room!
Superb location, lumpy mattress but otherwise flawless. Love the convenience of the kitchen and washer/dryer. The cafe on the ground floor is fantastic.
Great views.
Great location with great views. A little off the beaten path but within an easy walk to the underground and millennium bridge makes this an ideal jumping off point. Front desk staff very helpful.
The staff were lovely. Very helpful

Long weekend
The apartment had everything we needed for a few nights and we found the location very convenient for access to Covent garden. The reception staff were very friendly and we would happily book another stay.
