Very clean and tidy.
Absolutely fantastic, clean and modern with dining next door. A lovely park to walk and fabulous atmosphere. Thank you.
Clean, clean, clean.
Great !
Very nice layout, maybe a fan in room for those balmy nights
A great place to stay, next to a wonderful pub. The breakfast included was fantastic.
Lovely room. Comfortable bed, great bathroom and very private room.
Super cute property. We enjoyed playing pool and the room was beautiful. It was convenient to get to werribee zoo and the you yangs from here.
Lovely quiet location between Melbourne & Geelong
Lovely heritage listed premises that was once the local hotel. Location is Little River which is off the highway between Werribee and Geelong. The station is fairly close by and there is a regular train service between Melbourne and Geelong so public transport is an option. Despite its proximity to Melbourne and Geelong, Little River is quiet and facilities are limited. The local hotel is next door but we went elsewhere after reading mixed reviews.
Very clean and a nice size bathroom
Lovely little place with interesting australian movie history. Clean and well set up, handy if your'e travelling with your furry friend.
Very rustic B&B in the outskirts of Melbourne. The original farm house was used as a set in the movie Mad Max. Very quaint and rural. Pub next door is basic and minimal but beer is cold and people friendly. Train runs nearby so a tad noisy but managable. Room we booked was clean and well decorated. Jet bathtub did not work or maybe it was operator error. Either way still worked as a deep nice bath. Breakfast was minimal but perfectly acceptable. People live behind but attached to the property. No interaction with owners but we did arrive late. Overall nice. Would recommend.
Felt homely and Tanya had the time to have a nice chat with us.
It was a bit hard to find in the dark, self check-in was good though. Breakfast was very disappointing, we were looking forward to a nice hearty breakfast because we had a long travel ahead of us, toast, cereals and pre-packaged fruit cups were not very inviting and to top it off we had to pack the dishwasher ourselves. Not worth the money
Never saw any staff but all went smoothly. Didn’t have time to look around the property
Great little bed and breakfast to stay at once you can find your room. As it was a warm night we couldnt fiind any fans or air conditioning to help keep the ventilation going or even open up a window. Train station isn't far way either so great for going into tge city or Geelong for ghe day but can be noisy at night. Otherwise was great.
Breakfast was well set up with a good and varied selection.
Such a beautiful place, that feels laid back and welcoming. Awesome communication from management & I especially loved being able to have my dog with me. Would definitely stay again.
Very lovely place and lovely staf
Great service, perfect location for both airports - Avalon is close and an easy 1hr trip to Tullamarine. Perfect location. Lovely people. Loved the accomodation. So easy.
This was a great place to stay. We would definitely recommend.
Lovely room to stay in with a comfortable bed, coffee and tea and easy to park. Enjoyed the lovely artefacts around the property. Will come back for sure 🤗
Never again
I don't know how long it's been since they cleaned the room properly. There was a disgustingly amount of balls of dust behind the bed and all furniture in the room! The mini tubs of milk for coffee in the room had expired 2 months ago and the juice bottle in the fridge in the common kitchen area had also expired a while ago! Will never stay here again.
We felt immediately welcome and comfortable. We definitely coming back. Very clean and quiet. Loved it!
Tania was so welcoming. The bluestone room was perfect. Bed was so comfortable. Common area well set up. We enjoyed our stay very much. Have already rebooked.
We enjoyed the tranquillity and convenience of the hotel next-door for dinner. The room was clean and warm when we arrived. I just wish there was a microwave as i couldn't get the stove to work to heat some milk. The breakfast was ample.
One of our all time favourite places to stay! We will be back!
Great stay! Wonderful space and generally had a great time and greats night sleep! Would definitely stay again!
Loved our stay Will be back
Such a lovely room in an old building, refurbished with all the mod cons, comfy bed, easy access. Thanks heaps. Also love the film history.
Picturesque Our Host Tanya was kind and friendly. Must stay to believe. We’ll be back ❤️
Such a lovely peaceful place to stay
It was cute and had character.
Nothing to like, was accused of leaving cigarette butt behind toilet and on toilet And took extra $100 dollars out of our account for this as she reckoned she couldn't hire out room because of this We always leave rooms at motels etc spotless and always double check
.
Neither my husband or I are familiar with the BnB operation so,it is very difficult or fair to assess. The place is obviously quaint, Tanya was very friendly and Kimba, our TPoodle was welcome. Unfortunately for us the pub next door was already fully booked so we had to drive a lot to get dinner. The airshow complicated traffic on the road but this is certainly not the BnB fault!!
A very unique property. A well kept homestead. Little or no staff involvement. Very comfortable and clean lodgings modern ensuite bathroom. A general area for all, contains loads of assets. Dishwasher, sink, fridge, stove, darts, pool table, books to read, no fuss self serve continental breakfast, HONESTY box for beers, chocolates & snacks! Nice front veranda if you choose to eat outside. Quiet location in a pretty town with a pub next door that serves great food. Train station nearby taking you to Geelong or Melbourne! Absolutely unique and functional B&B. Wouldn’t hesitate for a second, to revisit.
Been here twice and yet to be met by anyone . Letter on the door telling us our room no. and code . Room cleaner than last time but one of our bath towels was dirty and had black words on it saying RAG
Such a peaceful stay in a beautiful building. We were very comfortable and had so much space in our room. Wonderful host!
Loved the history of the property! Easy check in & clear directions of the room & facilities.
Unexpectedly charming! Lovely to chat with the host Tanya too. We will be back!
Nice place
Loved this little place
The setting and building was unique (v old) and unlike any other.
No where to put cases but on floor.tv didn't work and could only watch from bed if it did.netting above bed torn and unattractive
Found the room dusty Bed head and bathroom, the fridge seals were moldy so wouldnt put anything in it the fridge. But the shower was nice and big and the rest of the bathroom was okay.
Lovely place to stay Hostess was informative and friendly Room was good Sadly spa wasn’t available which was disappointing Breakfast was adequate
We loved the bluestone building and period decoration. Check in was easy.Tranquil setting. Extremely comfortable beds and next door to an amazing pub.
Lovely accommodation. Clean, comfy beds, lots of little added extras.Tanya was very helpful and accommodating.
Wonderful
Gorgeous place. We werent there for much more than sleeping but it was beautifully presented and cosy
Stay at little river b&b.
The bedroom was dusty, dirty curtain , stained pillows. Cool room despite electric heater on all night was due to high ceilings and cold winter. O/N train blowing whistle and quite audible. Kepts us awake on and off. Owner pkeasant and helpful but needs to pay attention to cleanliness of room.
We have travelled to over 10 countries and last night Had to have been one of the best rooms we have stayed in. The room was perfect. We will be back
Such a beautiful bluestone cottage with stunning amenities. The bed was absolutely gorgeous the way it was styled and the bathroom was just divine. Easy check in and check out. Love how they run on the honesty system with drinks and munchies. We absolutely loved it there and would highly recommend it to anyone!
Beautiful property, friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you
The room was exactly as presented.
Bed was fantastic. Large bathroom.
Lovely little B&B
The location for us was key. Facilities were clean but a little lacking, tissues needed restocking and soap dispenser in bathroom (for handwashing etc) needed to be refilled, milk in fridge was an opened leftover 200ml pack with the straw in it. Breakfast was basic, funny though on the second morning of our stay when we were not the only people staying there, there was actually a full fruit bowl to also choose from which we didn't have on the first morning for breakfast. Also we purposely left the honey bottle out of the condiments tray because it was empty, hoping that the next morning it had been replaced with a new full bottle, but not so. Tanya was great in getting us the soap dispenser refilled and also replacing the batteries in the TV remote.
Beautiful room well presented. Clean. Just needed clearer instructions about communal room available. Only found it the next day when leaving.
Great place to stay, quiet, great rooms, easy to deal with
We absolutely loved the Little River Bed & Breakfast. Would highly recommend if you like that country vibe. The room was clean and was very comfortable for our family of 5. Can't wait to come back again!!
We loved the ease in check in and check out and how all instructions were clearly stated on the letter for us. Clean room, fully stocked. Great stay, thank you.
I like the furniture, the whole interior apart from few dead flies on the window ledge. I could not work out the coffee machine in the room, gave me only hot water couple of times, even when I put a capsule in. The lady who prepared extra bed for our daughter was very friendly and had a lovely dogs. I like the independence of being in this accommodation, you could help your self with breakfast and drinks, if you wanted -for a small cost. It was quite unusual place to stay, and I was bit worried what are we going to there for 2 days, but actually I like the quietness and I would come back again.
Beautiful place to stay
Beautiful property, lovely lady that greeted us on arrival. Pub right next door with the best food. Would definitely return there.
Pleasant B & B in small town
Quite a cute little B &B in the middle of nowhere really. About half a hr to Geelong and 10 mins to Youyangs. Had lunch at the pup next door which was a undercooked burger otherwise there is no other food places in the town. Breakfast was supplied, Cereal toast and fruits tea/coffee. Rooms have everything u need. Pillows weren't great but ok for 1 night. Our only complaint was they were having a party at there house that kept us awake till 1am. Not very satisfactory when we just wanted a quite night. Probably wouldn't go back as there is nothing there really.
A magnificent surprise tucked away. The room was absolutely beautiful, the social area perfect, plus we were lucky enough to have the most fantastic guests to share the experience with.
Very nice room, no noise, nice breakfast charming B & B.
Rare country gem
Beautiful cottage for a few couples in old cottage and food self serving in a huge pub looking room with all facilities: stove, fridge, coffee machine, table, CD player with some disks, huge mirror and interesting local stories displayed on walls. Private bedroom is clean and comfortable and has 5m high ceiling so a lots of air.
I love this place we stay there every time we go to Melbourne we are allowed to take our little dog with us which is a big plus
Being pet friendly made my trip possible. Very clean room
Couldn’t be happier with our stay here over the weekend. Our 5 month old kelpie puppy loves being included in our trip as well. Stress free accommodation at its finest
Excellent pet friendly accommodation. Cute, quirky and comfortable. Great place to stay before a hike in the You Yangs. Would definitely stay again!
Beautifully appointed room, very nice bathroom. Well located near Lara, the You Yangs and Geelong. Perhaps due to Covid, everything was contractless. We did not see anyone, not at check in or check out, but we felt like we could ask for help if needed.
Loved the feel of the bluestone room. Room was clean enough but needs a deep clean. Bath plumbing needs attention also. Other than that was very happy. Would stay again. Pub next door is a gem 😃
Very nice and friendly. Rooms clean an nice. Everything there that was needed
Quaint and clean. Bed more like a double than a queen but ok. A little noisy on a friday night from the pub bistro next door. Overall a nice place to sleep over.
We loved the homely feel of the hotel. Hassle free place to stay. Will definitely be back.
It’s a qwirky property, ideal for short stays and groups of up to 12. The continental breakfast was good and there is the option of purchasing soft drinks and beer for a small fee. The publican room was spacious as was the bathroom. We were pleased that we could bring our dog along too. The property is around 10 min drive to Avalon Airport and 30 mins to Geelong. Fully recommended and I will return again in the future.
Loved the sweet place. Very cosy staff were lovely and the room was fantastic
Very nice, historical, and quaint b&b.
Filthy!!
It was filthy! If the heath inspectors went through this place it would fail miserably! The sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in months and when I rang up and complained she brought another scrunched up dirty sheet for bed, however she noticed the look on my face when I saw that was dirty too, and it was replaced again. The towels looked dirty as well, I felt like they were just dried out but not washed, and the bath had a big hole in the side and was unusable. The bed had a beautiful big mosquito net in it.. but it was full of dust and when touch you could see the dust fill the air. The floor needed a good vacuum and even the furniture was covered in dust.. I stay in a lot of hotels/motels and BnB’s, and I’ve never before felt the need to write a bad review. But I felt it was necessary to warn others of the terrible condition of this place. It’s filthy!! . As a BnB, breakfast was also offered, but the milk was 3 days old. It was not a nice experience.
Beautiful rural surroundings not too far from Melbourne
Our stay at Little River was a wonderful experience. Would recommend this B&B if you are planning a trip to Werribee and surrounds. Its an easy 20 minutes on the Highway into the Werribee area.
Unique setting. Very comfortable. A great experience all round
Warmly greeted, lovely. It was quite, very peaceful, just what we needed. Bed comfortable, very important. For the high price there should have been more than 1 bath wash &1 shampoo for us both & no soap at all. Fire place was not working which was disappointing. Would probably return, Thankyou
It was a beautiful mini break! The bluestone room was just gorgeous. The king sized four poster bed was amazing and the big bath was a real treat.
Excellent value, within easy reach of airport, quiet and clean Good bathroom Breakfast value for price We arrived late and it was a little confusing to find our room but Tanya responded to our call and all was well
Lovely setting with great amenities. Love the pool table & coffee maker. Excellent breakfast too.
Beautiful B & B, loved every bminutevif my stay. Just perfect!!
Lovely place to stay, room very comfortable. Good Pub next door to access food. The place was clear and tidy.
This is a lovely bnb in a rural setting. We liked the place overall but found it strange that, apart from seeing someone at check-in, we didn’t see any staff at all again. We are happy to fend for ourselves but when we needed help with the TV as the batteries in the remote were dead, there was no one around. And no instructions about what to do if we needed something. The room was lovely and so was the bathroom. There were very few amenities but since I brought what we needed this was not a big deal. Basic continental breakfast of toast and cereal was left out for us and once again we looked after ourselves and washed up as well. Despite this, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
We wanted pet friendly accommodation near Avalon airport. We were lucky to have the B&B all to ourselves. Our room was fantastic with bluestone walls, four poster bed and a beautiful big bathroom. The room was located off a communal bar lounge with pool table and other activities. There were snacks, tea and coffee and an honesty system for beer etc. Next door was the local hotel which served a great meal and was really busy for a Thursday night. Despite the hotel being busy we had a great sleep. The You Yangs were 5 minutes away where we could walk our dogs. There was also a park across the road. Breakfast items were available. Loved it all.
Cute place , beautiful rooms ,very quiet Would stay there again when I am down that way
We had a great night out at a very enjoyable spot, nice and quiet and very comfortable.
Great Pet Friendly B & B
The only problem in the middle of winter is that AC is not allowed, due to heritage listing, the building was the original Little River Hotel, and the room gets a bit cold, in spite of electric heaters . The redeeming factor is electric blankets in the bed, other than that it's a great place to stay, especially if you have Pet.
Fits the bill
Needed a place to stay close to site work that I felt secure with leaving tools in car, was quiet and flexible etc. This fits that bill
Overnight stay
Lovely place and friendly staff, would recommend this place, we would stay again

Quirky, historical yet modern with lots of interesting features about, was very easy to commute to the Melbourne airport
