Highly recommended! We spent 9 nights there and enjoyed the excellent service, location near Carmo Square in Baixa- Chiado, restaurant offerings, and the view from the room.

Excellent but beware high parking charges

It was amazing. There was one downside. The advertisement stated that there was parking when we got there we were told there was only 2 spaces and they had been taken so we had to go on outbid parking which cost us €50 overnight.

The hotel location is great and closed to metro/tram/bus. The receptionist and the staffs served for breakfast are great. The only thing is that the staffs cleaning my room either forgot to place replacement hand towels or water sometimes since I stayed for couple days. Small things here and there. Nothing major. A pleasant stay and highly recommended.

Great location

I loved this location and the bed was super comfortable. Very friendly helpful staff that accommodated an early check in. Extra big plus was Nespresso pixie machine in the room.

The front desk clerk Rafael was outstanding. He went out of his way to help with a problem. The breakfast was very good and dinner and the Faddo show were also excellent.

Excellent staff! Very helpful with everything we needed. Decent breakfast in the morning and the restaurant was decent as well. They were very helpful when it came to storing our luggage between our stays there

Breakfast was perfect, rooms clean and the staff very efficient. The location was just perfect for all the major tourist attractions a very short walking distance away. Enjoyed our stay here and just didn’t want to leave! Early check in was worthy of a mention here, no hesitation from the staff.

We found the property to be a great location, with excellent staff. Based on some of the comments we had seen, we were concerned, and did not know what to expect. We we very please with the front office staff, the restaurant staff, with the breakfast and meals and the facility. We did share our positive experience with the manager as well. This is a great property and they go out of their way to make you comfortable and are vey helpful and accommodating.

Five star hotel

Excellent hotel. Great location close to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Great and friendly front desk personnel and customer service. The breakfast buffet is delicious.

The property is very convenient and really clean. My room, bed and linens were excellent. I found the staff both informative, and very kind. Great stay on my own, felt safe. Impressive breakfast offerings also. I would absolutely stay again.

The staff was quite welcoming and friendly. They were most helpful with airport transportation and recommendations for great area restaurants. We would definitely stay at the Lisboa Carmo hotel again if we return to Lisbon. The rooms were quite nice and well appointed. The only negative was we had difficulty regulating the hot water in the shower for whatever reason.

Nice staff

This is a classic central Lisbon hotel so the rooms are smaller but very well appointed and the location is perfect for exploring Lisbon by foot

Room temperature thermorstat shows 24 but it feels like 14! Shower plumbing can’t figure where is hot or cold!

Quiet restful night, great breakfast. Clean hotel. Friendly welcoming staff made us feel “at home”. In the evening, Ethan the bartender-manager was friendly, yet professional, as was his coworker Rafael. They helped make our evenings enjoyable for o wind down after a busy day walking. Will stay at Lisbon Carmo hotel again.

Convenient for shops restaurants etc location in a nice district. It’s on a hill above the centre 10 minutes walk so need to be able to walk up a steep hill. Nice buffet breakfast although the hot food was cold. Nespreso machine in room only came with 4 pods. Extra pods cost e2 each. Hotel sold us a car pickup from the airport. It worked well but cost e35 plus tip. An uber was just £13. We would use this hotel again.

I stayed here for a week. The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is on relatively quiet street, close to several restaurants, if you don't want to eat at the hotel restaurant, opposite a small Square, a museum and the ruins of a church which can be visited.

We liked the hotel, the location and the surrounding area. The Fado entertainment on the day of our arrival was a great introduction to Lisbon. After a nice breakfast, we started our days and discovered Lisbon on foot and by tram. The closeness of the train station made our trip to Sintra easily manageable.

Wonderful experience

It's a Botique Hotel in Old Town with a professional and helpful Front Desk, particularly Rafael. Walking distance to good restaurants, particularly Time-Out Market and Rua Duque.

This is a pricey, average hotel in a walkable location. The staff were mostly helpful. The room was quite smaller than we had thought, with one tiny window in a very awkward spot in the room (guessing that was the view they had referenced in the room description), nothing like we had imagined. One day the hotel ran of towels (we had to wait till late evening to receive). They give you 4 Nespresso coffee pods your first day, thereafter you pay for them. Recommendation, go the Nespresso store and buy them, or bring your own if you enjoy coffee in your room. We felt we so overpaid for this hotel, would not recommend to friends or family. Our next hotel in Porto was a 5 star hotel with a duplex room and was truly amazing at a 1/3 less in price. Travelers beware, do your research!

No upgrade or benefits. Room only had a bottom drawer and no space to hung clothes. There is a fridge and safe on top so literally zero space.

Great location, near to the main square and just about everything within walking distance. Very cheerful and helpfull staff.

This is a very nice hotel in a very lively area. Several nearby plazas where talented musicians / buskers will be playing. Streets are busy but walkable. Seems very safe. The Metro stop is close. Restaurants and stores abounding. The hotel is clean and pleasant. Our room was small, typical of a large city. Breakfast was good, the Wednesday fado show was very good. Restaurant is clean, well laid out and pleasant. The food and service were very good. The staff is pleasant, efficient and professional. We highly recommend for a trip to Lisbon.

The hotel is in a perfect area to visit all sites and walkable to the port. I will stay in this hotel if I return to Lisbon.

This was a lovely little boutique stay for my week in Lisbon - located on Plaza do Carmo right in the heart of the historic part of Lisbon. An easy stroll to everything (but be ready to walk up hill to get home!), with great shopping and dining nearby. The staff were lovely and my room was clean, airy and had a lovely balcony. Serviced daily, the biggest issue I had was the random assortment of towels! Sometimes two bath towels, sometimes no bath towels and only hand towels. Each day was a quaint mystery as to what I would get! As a solo female traveller, I felt safe the whole time. My room was quiet, but not completely soundproof so I could still here the street noise at times (quietly, and not obtrusive). The bed was comfy and the room dark at night. Overall, I would definitely stay here again: for the location, the atmosphere and the friendly staff.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Lisboa Carmo. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a short walk to food and shopping.

Clean hotel in good location. Airport shuttle was included with room, but did not operate at the times that we needed. Laundry service is available, but it was not picked up in a timely manner, so it took longer than expected. The Wednesday evening Fado show in the hotel restaurant was very enjoyable.

Excellent hotel in a very happening area of the city. Room was very nice; breakfast was pretty good. Staff was super helpful and friendly. There is a cute plaza outside the hotel with bars and cafes. Hotel 5-10 minute walk to all the fun parts of the city. Will definitely stay here again if I go to Lisbon.

Perfect location and clean well appointed room with huge and comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate but, understaffed as coffee was so long on coming that one day we just gave up and left. Slighly penny pinching attitude... complimentary water provided only for 1st night... I would have thought that savings on linen cleaning for our 5 night stay would have meant that water could be provided daily? Free transfer to/ from airport (I understand for 3 night + stays) was excellent...

Overpriced

Overpriced. Elevator was out. AC did not work correctly. They promise airport shuttle but then said it was full Great location though.

Great hotel — great service.

The room and bathroom were very small. It was more like a 3 star hotel in Italy or USA Nothing luxury about it. The location was great ! Staff was nice and purchased train tickets to Porto for us.

Excellent service. Very nice and friendly staff. Love the hotel! Complimentary airport transfer in brand new Tesla. Breakfast was very good. The only thing is hotel is on the uphill part. Those who don t like exercise will not like it. Overall we have a very good time. Will refer friend for sure.

Absolutely epic stay! Staff, especially João, were extremely attentive, professional and courteous. Highly recommend this hotel without exception!

The hotel is clean, in a safe neighborhood (with a receptionist available 24/7), and the breakfast had a great spread. I was provided an airport transfer when leaving and it was delivered in a very nice Tesla. The staff was friendly and accomodating every step of the way. My biggest complaint is honestly how it's located at the top of a steep hill, so heading to it from the Baixa-Chiado or Rossio metro stops is rough sledding. It is close to great stops like Carmo convent, Rossio square, and the Santa Justa lift though!

Great three night stay in January

Amazing stay. Customer service was the best ever experienced in a hotel and we travel a lot! David in reception was great, and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Breakfast was very good and a lot of variety and fresh fruit. Location is some of the best in Lisbon, only steps from main squares and subways, but within walking distance to most attractions. Steps from St Justa elevator and Carmo convent.

A nice hotel and great location. Perfect for a short stay or maybe longer. Lots of restaurants nearby and the square is a great amenity.

The hotel location was excellent close to restaurants, metro and shopping. Loved how everything was walkable and convenient to wandered off and not get lost. The staff was beyond amazing from.rhe front desk, house keeping and waiter made my coffee every morning ❤️ everything was great and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting lisbon. I loved that the hotel provided transportation to the airport. That was a huge plus! Can't wait to come back!!!

My room didn't look like the advertising pictures (it felt older) and the carpets in the halls and the room felt particularly old, but the room was clean and my bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. All you really need.

They sent Carlos to picked us up from the airport, super polite, friendly and courteous. The location of the hotel is just amazing, we walked everywhere. The room is spacious and comfortable bed. We loved our stay! We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The room shown on the pictures when we reserved it was not even close to what we got. We didn’t have a bathtub and the water was always going onto the floor. The shower head is so dirty that it did not even allow the water to flow correctly. Then on the second day it fell off completely and we fixed it ourselves. Our bed sheets were not changed even once in the 4 nights we stayed there. Maybe they don’t usually change them. As for our VIP services that we were supposed to get, we did not get a room upgrade even though half of their rooms were empty. We were supposed to get a complimentary round rip from and to the airport (VIP perk from Expedia), but when we asked about our trip back they looked at us as if we are rude and said that it’s a one time thing. I can just say their front desk staff are nice, especially Rafael. I appreciate his help.

Great location, clean, free breakfast, and pick up from the airport was nice. too bad it wasn't round trip as expected because the front desk told me it was a 1-time use. But it clearly says round trip. Also, room 202 shower handle is missing

Great location at Plaza Do Carmo. Nice clean room and great breakfast. Hotel location on Apple Maps is a little confusing. Registration is at corner by plaza, not midway up the street.

Perfect hotel on your trip to Lisbon

Great hotel in the center of Lisbon! The staff was very helpful with arranging transportation and local places to eat. The restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. Seeing local musicians there on Wednesday night was wonderful! Rooms are spacious and clean.

A wonderful place… I will start by saying that the staff is extremely friendly and pleasant, they always welcome you with a friendly smile on their face, especially the young woman who greeted me on the day of checking, called Beatriz, who also recommended which places to visit and prepared a very special Tour for the days that I would be in Lisbon. This hotel has an excellent location, impeccable cleanliness and absolute tranquility. The cuisine is fabulous, both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am already planning my next vacation and from now on I choose to stay in this fabulous Hotel again…

Highly recommend!! I can not recommend this hotel more. A perfect place in the middle of Lisbon with a fantastic staff. Their service was service was top notch. Absolutely recommend it for couples or singles in Lisbon.

Nice big room with extra bed as three of us. Very nice buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful- when we left to go on a 3 day trip they stored our luggage even though when returning we were going to another hotel. When picking up luggage we had to walk a couple of streets to get to an Uber (Pope was in town) Alexander on reception walked with us and assisted with luggage - above normal service Thank you Lisboa Carmo Hotel

Room on the small side but, more importantly, in need of new furniture AND NEW CARPETS throughout the room and hallways.

Hotel staff was very resourceful and always available to help. Their sight seeing and dining recommendations were superb. They arranged a group visit to Sintra . Airport transfer very early in the morning. Excellent value for money.
