Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lovely location. And service was brilliant.
Liberatos Village has so nearly got it right! Staff were fantastic, pool and area around it was amazing. The apartment itself was fine but a couple of tweaks would have made it really good. The bed was comfortable for us and the sheets spotlessly clean and regularly changed. Housekeeping every day. Shower was great, no issues with pressure or hot water. We were in I block so the furthest away from reception, there is a hill to climb to it but it is very manageable and soon felt like nothing ( we are 57 and 71 years old). The apartment felt tired , handles coming off when you opened the doors. Our biggest ‘gripe’ is that it is advertised as self catering but the equipment there made it very hard to self cater. Two tea, spoons and four of everything else. These were not clean when we arrived hence a three star for cleanliness. There was no equipment to wash up with - no cloth, washing up liquid etc- come on guys it doesn’t take much to provide those basics. The ‘sofa’ is a day bed, comfy enough to sit on but the cover is just a sheet so if someone was using it as a bed it would be very unpleasant for them. The balcony was a good size. A parasol would have been helpful as it was too hot to sit outside at times. All that being said the complex was quiet and felt safe. The pool area was great, clean, great bar area with reasonably priced tasty food. Not sure what’s in the advertised mini market as didn’t use it. Walk from road to complex took us only 10 minutes and no issues.
The apartment were good and the pool excellent. However, the location requires to you either get taxi or rent a car, unless you like hiking.
I don’t think I can recommend it to anyone else.
We had an amazing time at Liberatos Village. The food was excellent, the staff were very helpful and polite. The pool is just right, the atmosphere relaxing and overall an amazing stay. We rented two rooms, with sea views, they are simple but large and clean with balconies. The location is at the top of the hill, amazing views but a steep walk up. We opted to walk up and down the hill mostly, we also tried hiring scooters, which was fun. 10/10 would stay here again.
Family holiday with a number of adults and children 15 in total staying across 5 apartments. Pool excellent few minutes next door another apartment with good facilicites to utilise. More breakfast options and serving presecco at this bar would make more enjoyable. Staff are quite young and whilst friendly enough employing more family friendly staff members rather than younger staff who appear often more interested in their mobile phones or one another than customwr experince would be welcome enhancement.
Good location… Car to have is preferable. One thing that’s missing is a washing machine or a laundry room.
Beautiful grounds & amazing views. Family owned & staff is very hospitable! Perfect location in Lassi, Kefalonia.
Happy stay with two young children.
Beautiful pool, lovely overall complex, very helpful and friendly staff. The standard of the apartment was what we’ve come to expect of self catering in Greece - basic but clean and with everything we needed. We would happily return to stay again.
Dirty, No Wifi and Broken Air Conditioning.
I booked one of the more expensive apartments hoping to cook during my stay. However, upon arrival, both the lady checking me in and I were shocked to find the room in an unlivable state with exposed wires, rust, and a makeshift, filthy kitchen setup devoid of any pots, pans, cutlery, or soap. The couch was also heavily stained. I was then shown two more rooms, which were equally unacceptable and below any livable standard. Since the apartment was booked for three people, a couple and a single, I politely requested two rooms without kitchen facilities. Unfortunately, the manager, Peter, responded aggressively, accusing me of trying to take advantage of him, despite the cheaper price of the requested rooms. To add to the disappointment, there was no Wi-Fi throughout my seven-day stay, which was extremely frustrating. As a result, I spent most of my time at another property where a friend was staying, using their kitchen facilities and Wi-Fi. The air conditioning in the apartment was ineffective, and the room temperature never dropped below 26 degrees Celsius, making the nights uncomfortable and sweaty. On the positive side, the apartment did have a nice pool area, and the female receptionist was doing her best under the circumstances.
Amazing pool and view on the hill
Lovely to have gone back
Second visit and was welcomed like family. Even though was quiet they still had everything to offer us.
Very dated
We have been to Lassi many times before and knew Liberatos was set back up a hill, so that didn’t come as a shock to us and we were happy to arrange a taxi to get up and down the hill, which in my opinion you definitely need to do (especially coming up). On arrival we were greeted and able to check in straight away earlier than advertised. The room was in F block and had a panoramic sea view with a large balcony…sounds good! However, there is a plot of land directly in front which is used as a dumping ground and had all sorts thrown in it such as air con units, pipes, metal etc. This was a real shame. The room itself was very very dated and basic. I expect basic and for the price wasn’t expecting luxury…BUT…things were that old they looked dirty (albeit they weren’t). The self catering facilities were really poor…we didn’t need them but if you were expecting to be able to cook, you would struggle! The beds were old and not comfortable. The bathroom was the worst…there was zero water pressure when you put the hot water on which meant a shower took three times as long and again so old. We went at the end of September which we know is end of season but that doesn’t mean the owners should give up which is what we felt they had done. The pool was covered in green slime which was a real shame as it’s a big nice pool with views. There was a pool bar which seemed to the close the day after we checked in. There were weeds around the terrace and loads of ants! Overall, not pleasant!
Excellent for the price
All the team were very friendly and made me fee welcome. The food was cooked to order, reasonably priced too. Views amazing. It is half way up a hill but don't let that put you off as the walk back up isn't that bad, and there are always taxis right at the bottom if needed. Excellent location to walk to a variety of beaches too. And walkable to the harbour to see the Turtles. That said a took a tax there which 8euros and then enjoyed the walk back. Will be booking to go again in the spring.
1st time in Kefalonia
Look awhile to get used to setting for kettle. Bathroom floor got wet when in shower as curtain not long enough. Lovely pool area and bar where could get breakfast and snacks. Staff friendly and lovely view of lassi. Did the walk up and down twice a day. Just need to take your time.
The place is a gem but our apartment was a little tired and needed a bit of talc. Staff excellent
Highly recommended
Very relaxed family stay at Liberatos Village. Comfy and clean apartments and very friendly staff. There is a great outdoor pool with plenty of loungers and an excellent value poolside bar that also serves lunches and evening meals. Argostoli and the airport are both a very short taxi ride away. You can walk down the hill to plenty of shops and tavernas as well as the nearby beaches. Amazing views from the pool. Would happily come back again.
Excellent staff and hotel
Wi-fi problems. Everything else OK.
Staff are very friendly and always happy to help, great view, amazing food, lovely pool area.
Cheap and fab
Bit of a climb up form the beach but fabulous
We had a lovely stay here. The complex was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful.
Our apartment was a good size with 3 single beds. Great balcony with superb views. Bathroom needed a little bit of an update. Replacement towells every third day. Staff very pleasant. Food was of good quality. Only main down side was the hill to walk up to get to the apartments. Would recommend.
Amazing service and staff who are always happy to help. Food was amazing at the pool area and a lovely view from both the apartment and the pool. Stayed here three times now and would not choose anywhere else to stay in lassi.
Beautiful views, fantastic pool, great staff
Had a wonderful stay here! Room small but functional, kept very clean by staff. Fabulous views and a fantastic pool, would recommend!
I like the property is very spacious but the Interior is quite dated . Modernise it would be nice .! Love the sea view from the balcony . Good location !
The property was very clean and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately the air condition didn’t work well. When I asked about if I felt I was fobbed of with an excuse about the dog temperature affecting the unit!
View is beautiful Appartments dated Many issues with the appartment Faulty door lock Balcony door faulty Beds are like bricks Very very hard Shower so small could not move In it no space. Not a friendly environment No one around at night Should a problem occur
The receptionist, bar staff and maintenance, were helpful and courteous, pool is great, beautiful views to the sea below, ontop of Lassi, and away from the noise of traffic and restaurants etc
The location of the property and the pool. The apartment although clean was just looking a little tired
Terrible experience. We'll never ever ever book there again. The reception lady was very rude and ignoring any request.Being an elder person asked for luggage assistance as the taxi had left me all the way down behind the parking and there was no way to slide two big luggage and guide a child up till the reception. I asked for their help and they denied, they said is my job to deal with it. At the end they sent somebody who went unwillingly. I asked for food and if there is option of delivery, they said no, i have to find food and go pick it up otherwise i should just order from a binder menu in the reception panini and other snack but not cooked food. They sent me to the most difficult room again with challenge on my luggage climbing a hill with destroying my luggage on the ground. Room was clean but furniture uncomfortable. Balcony had nice view.I had some food with me for the child in tupperware on the table and the same lady while passing she threw it on the floor and she didn't even apologize neither she cleaned it. She wanted us to clean her mess. There is no service that they didn't fail to provide. Very bad manners.
The property location is great and close to amenities and nice beaches. If you’re looking for a decent holidays and not worry about cosmetic luxury of the apartment then this is a great place to be. It’s got views, comfort but decor is a bit dated.
In a nice area. With the beach about a 5-10 minute walk. Pool looked nice, but didn’t use it. Had an issue with our aircon, got relocated from upstairs room to lower level. Quiet noisy water pipes from apartment above, didn’t sleep that well, pillows were flat and mattress lousy. Staff were helpful and accommodating, and willing to assist with enquires.
Pipes which looked like pisibly hot and cold feed in the studio of course isolated
The property's layour was beautiful, like a little village! The view from our room in the morning was perfect, shady and breezy. We come to explore parts of Kefallonia but if you feel like staying on the premises there's a very inviting bar near the pool with a view of the ocean! The stsff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast had a variety of choices from light cereals and yogurts to french toast and omelets! I would definitely stsy here again and highly recommend it to others!
Beautiful island. Good attentive staff Rooms are a little tired and need upgraded
Liberatos village Perfect stay!
We (family of 4) have stayed in Liberatos village for 7 nights. We would stay there again! Big swimming pool, nice cafe on site, good breakfast, increadible views, central location, whats not to like?
Lovely place to stay
Loved our stay here pool bar rooms staff were fab & even the walk uphill wasn’t bad
Satisfied couple
2nd time we have stayed here...didnt fail to disappoint again!
A 3 night short break with brothers and best mate.
This was a short break to chill out at the end of the season. Appartments look good from the outside but inside the fixtures and fittings are tired and in need of some TLC. Our rooms were spacious with great views but the kitchen, beds and bathroom need an update. As it was the end of the season the property was very quiet with only a handful of properties occupied. The bar and snack bar was closed and reception manned sporadically. As a result we spent much of the day in Lassi or Argostoli. Lassi was deserted with only a handful of shops and restaurants trading. Argostoli, being the capital was very much open and plentiful. The break was enjoyable, but in hindsight, end of September may have been a better option. Notwithstanding, we were made very welcome by Nikos at the Odyssey Cocktail bar in Lassi. I also recommend the food at Kefalos. Meat pie, stifado and kleftico were excellent. In sum, the accommodation is basic but served our needs. This did not affect break as there will always be a bar and restaurant open.....
Good value for money
Great pool with excellent view out to sea. Accommodation is basic but clean, an ideal central location for exploring the island. Some of the reviews are misleading, the complex is perfectly adequate for the price.
Overall, pleasant stay, but ripped off on checkout
Accommodation was acceptable and cleaning and bar staff very nice, but the young reception lady's communication left a lot to be desired. We asked whether we could check out late to which she advised would be no problem at all. When leaving, we were presented with a €30 bill. When I challenged the fee as she made no mention of it when I requested the late check out, she merely ignored the point. I paid and left, but would not stay there again as it left a bad taste. Putting that aside, the hotel is up a steep hill, so exhausting to wall up and down each day to get to the shops.
The pool was the only nice feature of this property. The room are severely dated. The bathroom was disgusting with a leaky broken toilet and dirty grout around the shower pan. Deplorable customer service. A long walk from the Main Street.
Don’t stay here! This hotel should be rated 1.5 stars, not 3.5! The pool and view are beautiful, but the rooms are very uncomfortable and the staff was very rude repeatedly! Our beds were like sleeping on concrete, the air conditioner only worked sometimes and was so loud we couldn’t sleep, the finishes of the room were rusty, very cheap. The shower head wasn’t attached to the wall and the curtain was too short so water leaked everywhere during a shower. There were constantly bugs in our bathroom and kitchen that got into our stuff. The staff wouldn’t allow us to drink a cup of coffee by the pool that we brought from our room because they wanted us to buy coffee from them. They yelled at us for walking by with a bottle of Coke that we weren’t even drinking!
Unhelpful staff on arrival, felt we were interrupting them. No signage to find location... (hire car) when we asked why response a ‘shrug’ the rooms average but clean & well serviced. Pool excellent. Should advise visitors of steep climb & severe bends on route up from main road. Bar staff fine & friendly.
PANAGIOTIS SON OF LIBERATOS FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL
Stayed with my 2 children ,Enjoy talk with PANAGIOTIS ,son of LIBERATOS in BAR
Lovely views
Nice clean apartment, with a lovely sea view. It's up quite a steep hill, but we managed to the walk OK. You can easily get a taxi at the bottom if you can't face the walk. The pool was big and very clean. Nice breakfasts cooked to order. The staff were very friendly and chatty.
No room service no towels no soaps no sheets change
Lovely family run place.
Lovely family run place where nothing is too much trouble. A sea view to die for and every basic you could need in the room. The only thing I would change is the bed which was too hard for me personally.
Good hotel just what you need.
Good hotel lovely pool area great rooms very clean and just what is needed. No hair dryer or iron in rooms bit of a problem. Big hill to walk up and down to get onto main road and beach. Fine if you have a hire car
Very basic hotel with stunning views
Very basic rooms (do not expect any luxuries) however the stunning views make up for this - provided you are not given a room on ground floor with no windows! Be warned the beds are extremely hard & you may not have all the utensils you need for self catering facilities. The pool is great with enough sunbeds for all guests & the pool bar serves OK food if you get peckish. Located at the top of a very steep hill - but taxi down to restaurants & beach is affordable. Nearby Costa Costa beach is stunning & plenty of restaurants can be found on Lassi main road. Do not expect this to be a lively resort - it is extremely quiet compared to other Greek islands we have visited but perfect for relaxing. Overall an ok hotel - on a very beautiful island!
Love liberatos
Love this place, the views are awesome and it's in a picturesque spot. A tough walk from the beach after a long day in the sun. But always a great place to stay, relax and unwind. No problems at all encountered at this property.
Friendly and helpful staff
A lovely quiet hotel with friendly helpful staff only downside is the hill it sits on but a cab is only €5
Quiet and friendly Hotel
Liked the location. Staff were friendly and the pool was good. The apartments were nice but let down by very hard beds that left you with back ache in the morning. Little things ruined the overall potential of the place such as the cracked toilet lid and lack of cooking items such as pans, glasses and kettle etc. On the plus side the staff were really friendly. The other disappointing thing was a lack of a restaurant or cafe as the food had to be ordered and eaten around the pool bar.
dirty, smelly rut
the hotel did not provide clean towels and they left a dirty toilet brush in the toilet for some strange reason. there is no wifi in the rooms, only at pool. Our room was a ten minute walk from the lobby up many steps and hills with no assistance to lift luggage. the room was not very clean and had a strange smell, I would not recommend this hotel.
Hotel was good overall but didn't have wifi in the room so we had to go to the communal area(swimming pool). Also they didn't have shampoo nor shower gel. Although the swimming pool, bar was great.
Really nice stay at Lassi
This is overall a really nice apart-village with a great pool area, nice view, friendly and helpful staff. Location is very good - in a good position in Lassi, although bear in mind it is on the hill - as is the case with most accommodations. Minor objections: although the towels are regularly changed and are celan, perhaps they could be less stainy (or they could buy new ones?); Also - there is plenty of parking space, although virtually none with tree shade or similar - and it can get really hot on Kefalonia. Also - we couldn't reach decent WiFi signal in the room, but is was good at the pool area - perhaps some WiFi repeaters would help. Nevertheless, it was a really nice stay overall.
Apartment dated needs refurbishment/Repair
Bed very hard, shower broken, reported but not repaired. Apartment not equipped very well, cutlery or glasses. Cooker like something from the dark ages. Only apartment I have stayed in where there has been no hair dryer. Must have transport due to location Cobwebs in room. Fridge broken, very few coat hangers. No remote co tool for the tv, it was missing. In need of decoration and repair. No fly screen on bedroom window,it was broken
Well situated accommodation
Accommodation less than 15 mins from airport and well situated to see rest of island. We weren't fans of Lassi - too touristy! So essential to hire a car so you can visit rest of island which is beautiful. Simple accommodation, not luxury but with all the basics, fridge, sink and hob in rooms so you can keep supplies fresh and make yourself a hot drink. Lovely view from balcony of olive trees and sea from room, a real plus. Also a pool and bar on site. Friendly staff, good value for money, would definitely return.
Lovely views, although it is up a steep hill.only thing that let it down were the beds were hard and uncomfortable.enjoyed our stay and though we had a problem with the electric cutting out, management dealt with the problem straight away
Get away from it all
Lovely setting with fantastic views. Up a steep hill but nice for a bit of exercise and the pool,is always at the end of the walk. Only takes about 10 - 15 minutes to walk to beach. My 8th visit to Kefalonia, and I love it.
Very friendly hotel, good bar, pool, amazing views
Had a lovely time at the Liberatos. George was great and upgraded us to a sea view room with spectacular views. Mostly English staying there but everyone really friendly. Near to all restaurants and beach
Great views, well located for our needs
Clean, decent size room with good amenities for self catering. Room service available. Would stay again.
Great value
Loved our stay. The staff were absolutely fantastic! !!
Excellent ***
Great location and perfect rooms and staff was very helpful.
Great hotel for one and all
The staff were incredibly friendly and very accommodating. It is in a superb location for the beach and for going to Argostoli and travelling across the island. The pool and bar areas are stunning and we had an excellent view of the sunset from our balcony. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island and am already planning my next trip.
Lovely hotel and great value
I really liked this hotel. The room itself had slightly dated decor and the bathroom was quite basic, but the room was very clean and had all the faciliites we required - fridge, a/c, safe. Best of all the room had a superb sea view from the balcony, and every night we saw the most beautiful sunsets. The hotel pool is superb - we visited in September and is was always quiet with plenty of sunbeds. The staff as very friendly and seemed only to happy to help. The hotel is not far from Lassi but up a steep hill. We're young and found this no problem, but others got a cheap taxi for the short ride up the hill. Lassi itself has quite a selection of restaraunts and a few bars - nothing too lively but enough to keep us happy for a week. The airport is very close by and cost us 18-20 euros in a taxi
great summer escape
The hotel was a beautiful well kept hotel with very friendly staff with a fantastic can do attitude. We would recommend this property to families, couples and anyone looking forward to a great break.
.
Lovely trip
Liberatos Village in Kefalonia is a true paradise. The breathtaking location, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the Ionian Sea, creates a serene ambiance. The staff provides exceptional service, making guests feel valued and pampered. The resort facilities, including the pool area, are top-notch, ensuring a delightful experience. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, allowing guests to truly relax and recharge. Liberatos Village deserves a perfect 10/10 rating for its outstanding quality and unforgettable experience
The structure certainly has its potential (such as the location, the view, the beautiful swimming pool) but they are not adequately supported. A few minor adjustments would be enough, such as mattress toppers: the mattress in the master bedroom was so hard that it made us regret our bed at home. The cleaning was not accurate, we had to ask for the change of a sheet (immediately replaced). The kitchen for quick meals is poorly equipped: 3 glasses for 4 people, only one small pot, no dishcloth, no sponge and no detergent to wash the cutlery. The hairdryer had to be specifically requested twice at the reception. Not all the reception staff was helpful and kind. Terrible noise of the air conditioning system all night long (not ours). Tiny ants in the kitchen.
Liberatos Village | Hotel in Kefalonia | Travala.com
LV offered us very basic, no-frills accommodation at a decent price. The landscaping and buildings were nice and the pool and bar were clean and well-operated. Our actual “apartment” was not nice. There was a twin bed in the kitchen (no headboard, no linens, no pillow). The bedroom had a full-size bed with linens and two pillows, but no blanket, just sheets. The shower and toilet worked fine, but there was no shampoo or any other amentities. No hair dryer. There was a small refrigerator and a toaster oven with a couple of burners attached. We had rented a car, so we could get into the little town (about a five minute drive) and there were several nice tavernas and bars, as well as a nice beach about ten minutes away. It was an adequate accommodation, but don’t expect charm.
