Thank you Li River Resort!

Another magical stay at Li River Resort, and it won't be my last. Their excellent food is some of the best in town and their wonderful warm and accomodating staff are second to none. The rooms are comfortable and stylishly done. Many offer heavenly views. All of this, plus great rates and a location that strikes the perfect balance between serenity and access make this hotel a perfect 10. Without being cold or pretentious, the hotel is elegant, inviting and intimate with noticeable attention to detail paid at every turn. Perched high on the bank of the Li River fantastic mountain views make for a magical and impactful sense of place and memorable outdoor dining. An easy 20 minute walk that winds peacefully along the river, down the narrow country road, will take you directly to the boat landing and all of the action of bustling West St. If you don't feel like walking, there is a hotel shuttle, or you can get a taxi for less than $5.

Wonderful staff very very helpful and also an one stop shop. They will help organizing Li River Cruise, Bamboo Raft at Yangshuo, and transportation to any activities that you join. They also provide in room massage service. Food was great and stunning views of Li River from the resort room. Thanks to the very amiable staffs which make my stay very enjoyable.

Li River Resort took terrific care of me throughout my 5 night stay. The staff was very attentive and remembered my room, name, and preferences from the start. As a woman traveling solo, it felt good to be known and safe, too. Excellent English language skills helped to plan my events and chat about the day when I returned. The facilities appeared to be in fine shape. Room was always clean. Very tasteful, artistic touches. The trees filtered my view of the river. The mountains stood out beautifully. For two of my days in town, I was happy simply to hang out at the hotel, my balcony, and grounds. I took the front desk help in lining up massage, Tai Chi lesson, private bike tour, and taxi. I was delighted with the services and found the prices competitive with online offers. Again, I felt looked after. I rented a bike from the place across the road and found the bike adequate to riding the roads and paddy paths, at a very reasonable price. The restaurant kept me coming back for both breakfast and dinner. Tasty food, remembered my spice preferences, and generous portions. I also ate at the local restaurant across the street which was ok and a couple good places in town. To get there I took the bus from the airport to Yangshuo. Didn't see the taxi stand and wasn't able to negotiate a price as low as the hotel suggested due to rush hour Returning, the staff helped me with my bus ticket at no extra charge and taxi for the agreed rate. Overall Li River Resort made a great vacation.

Home away from home

Beautiful place. Puts many 5 star resorts to shame. Tucked away from hustle and bustle in a picturesque area this place is only a short ride in a taxi or a 20 min walk to the Centre. Breathtaking views from each room and a restaurant. Such a great place to relax! Fantastic food, caters to even the fussiest eater ... Staff is it’s biggest asset; each will go extra mile to help, accommodate your needs and make your stay worries-free. Thank you so much for organizing our tours, taxi rides and making our visit to China such a memorable experience.

The rooms are very nice and well decorated. The views are very nice too but not spectacular as in other hotels in Yangshuo. That being said, the value is good. Although the staff is friendly enough and English is way above average compared to most Chinese hotel (keep in mid that is a very low bar), I had an issue with a partial booking cancellation that was not resolved to my full satisfaction. They were inflexible and I ended up paying way too much for a room that I didn't use.

Picturesque and tranquil setting away from (but not far from) the mad bustle of Yangshuo. Excellent service, modern amenities, great restaurant with reasonable prices on premises. We stayed in the Family Suite. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in China (since 1982)

One of The Best in the World!

Wow! Wear to begin?? We stayed at 6 hotels on our 3+ week long anniversary trip, making this home for 5 nights. This was a difficult place to leave. First, we want to give BIG thanks to the staff who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Angel, Emily, Sophie, and Chin are most hospitable. We enjoyed getting to know them and seeing their smiles. The view: The BEST on this entire trip. Collectively, my husband and I have visited over 70 countries. We both put this stay in our Top 5 in the world. Yes, the world! We stayed with the view at the back of the hotel (not overlooking the swimming pool) and we were extremely with our decision. Every morning and night we were able to see only nature as the sun rose and set. We took full advantage of the soaking tub overlooking the river and mountains. The food: The duck and fried rice were our favorites, though surprisingly they make a delicious pizza too. The toffee bananas...yummy treat! Great selection of wine and beer too. Angel gifted us with a special treat from her moms garden, pomelo fruit! Thank you! Location: Perfect!!!!! Away from the city center but close enough to walk to. We had too much fun in the city. Suggestions: For a #1 rated hotel in China, bathrobes are highly suggested and coffee could use some improving.

Very beautiful place with well designed and lovely decorations. Comfortable bed and cozy environment. Stunning views of the Li River and mountains. Extremely friendly staffs and one can see the sun rise or sun set right from the window of the room.

A brilliant hotel in a beautiful location

Brilliant service, really beautiful surroundings, clean hotel, but the city is a bit dirty and not much choice when it comes to restaurants, but that’s not why you go to this place.

Everything was perfect

Let's start with "Everything was perfect"! How they send me a message before my arriving, how they setup a taxi for me at the airport, how they staff remembered what type of beer I drink (hello IPA's), the pool, the view from my room, everything was perfect. Thank you Li River Resort for these 4 amazing days!

Peace and Quiet

This is probably one of the best places I've ever escaped to, and finding it in china was a real pleasure.

A gem in Yangshuo

We went there for part of our one week trip to Guilin and Yangshuo area. There are lots of small hotels scattered around Yangshuo and that makes it difficult to choose. Finally, we choose Li River Resort because it is not in the city centre (the West Street) which is too busy for a relaxed trip whilst not very far away from places of action. We are not disappointed at all. We can walk along the river side to the city centre in 30 minutes which is very pleasant, or ask the hotel to arrange a taxi for RMB 30.-. The hotel is in the countryside that it may not be easy to arrange transportation by your own unless you drive. Once I arrive at the hotel, I am totally amazed by its setting, the design and decoration with a Chinese touch. The room that I booked and stayed is of very good size, but the bathroom is a complete open one. That said, it is appropriate for couples and very close friends only. The bed is not too hard and very comfortable whilst the room is clean and spotless facing the river. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is quite extensive at reasonable price. We took breakfast during our three days' stay and dinners after exploring the city and neighboring tourist spots. We also book the taxi for a day trip and on the way to the train station at check-out. Both check-in and check-out are smooth without incident. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a plus. Good experience and thank you.

Wonderful Hotel

A wonderful hotel. I could see the Li River from my room. Lovely staff. The owner was there making sure everything ran smoothly. I loved staying there.

Peaceful Riverside Getaway

Amazing hotel, a short taxi ride from downtown, but far away enough where you can enjoy some peace and tranquility with mountain and Li river views. The owner, Alf (from Australia and lived in China for 20 years with his family), was there at checkout and throughout. Him and the staff made it feel like a bed and breakfast experience, but within a hotel. The rooms were very comfortable - and in fact, was one of the few hotels we stayed at where the temperature control actually worked (we used the AC). Since this was the end of our 10 day trip in China, we wanted to take it easy. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel - and the staff made amazing Chinese dishes - local flavored chicken, curry vegetables in clay pot, and so much more! On our final day there, I stood on the balcony of my room for 30 minutes just staring out into the mountains - felt so good for the soul ;-).

We arrived late in the evening and the cab had us call to make sure we were at the right address (It is a beautiful and rather remote area which is appealing for a relaxing China vacation). The hotel drive is steep and the staff actually ran down to carry our luggage up the hill. The staff was extremely pleasant and Angel at the front desk was very helpful arranging a tour of the Li River for us. The restaurant was great and offered both Chinese and Western food. Our only complaint would be the heating system. The room never warmed up completely, but in the south of China this is not usual as I understand it. The staff put electric blankets on our beds for the second night. We did not request that, but it was wonderful. I wish we would have had them the first night. There was much attention paid to decorating the hotel. The room was georgous and the amenities reflected of that. They had adorable slippers and shower shoes in various sizes right inside the door. I even loved their coffee cups that had lids and small spoons inside the lid. Overall this was my favorite hotel during our trip to China. The hotel overlooks the Li River and views were unbelievable. It was a great retreat from the hussle and bussle of the big coties.

Superb

My second stay here and was delighted again with the quality of this boutique hotel. Suburb views of the mountains and river. The best food in our entire stay in China, homemade bread so tasty! Friendly and knowledgeable staff who know the secret spots to get out of the touristy areas. Looking forward to my next visit.

Paradise in Earth

Great location. Not fare from the vibrant center. Excellent hotel views. Infinite pool. Friendly and kind staff. I strongly recommend to everyone.

The hotel is amazing, with great mountain/river views. It is about 20 minutes walk to downtown - West Street, but at the same time removed from the hustle bustle of the busy downtown. It is very quiet and you wake up to birds chirping. It is newly renovated and everything is spotless. The food is excellent, fresh and tasty, with both Chinese an Western options. Good strong coffee. The interior design is lovely with pretty details. So is the outdoor planning with garden areas and an amazing pool in the sun. The hotel offers car service to tourist sites and to the airport. Ms. Wang is a safe driver that is a rare species in China. I spent two nights here with my elderly parents and they were very happy about the place.

Paradise Found!

Everything about this resort was exceptional. Our well-appointed, beautifully decorated rooms offered balconies with lovely views of the karst peaks and the Li river. The vista reminded me of a Tahitian lagoon, and in the morning when birds were singing it seemed like Paradise! Comfortable beds, good air conditioning and a quiet environment made for a restful stay. The excellent all-day restaurant offered us some of the best meals of our 22 day trip through China. Both the lobby and the poolside deck were attractive, and the property itself is beautifully landscaped and maintained. We loved being far enough from town to be away from the 'madding crowds', yet close enough to walk in, as we did each day. The best part, though, is the staff. Alf, the owner, is an exceptionally nice fellow who goes out of his way to make sure you're well taken care of, and Qing, Beyond and Angel, three of the employees we got to know, were sweet, kind and attentive. These people felt like friends by the end of our five night visit. I would love to have stayed here longer and hope to return one day. Highly recommended!

The super large family room with 3 beds is perfect. Very comfortable for 4 people. Good food at the onsite restaurant.

Nice place. Beautiful hotel with a great view. The staff speaks good English so the communication is so much better. The only bad thing is the location. The resort is very far away from restaurants and stores so you would have to pay for a cab or rent a bike. The hotel doesn't provide shuttles nor bicycles.

Absolutely incredible!

Absolutely amazing!! Wasn't expecting anything like that before we went. It was so quiet and comfortable in the hotel, nice staff and manager, nice weather. You can see Li River and Mountains when you wake up in the morning. Definitely will visit again!

Great boutique hotel with a pool in a nice quiet setting but in walking distance to centre. Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Only thing to improve is the F&B experience.

Beautiful place to stay!!

We were so pleasantly surprised at the amazing rooms and the location of this hotel! It is newly renovated and everything is high quality. The views are spectacular as it is nestled up in the mountains. It couldn't have been more peaceful. The bed was so comfy, the restaurant food was great with a variety of western and Asian food, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and we hardly wanted to leave the resort to do anything else. The staff booked us taxis to and from the airport in Guilin. We had a great time here and would recommend this place to family and friends anytime! We had our two kids with us and were able to book a family room with 2 bunk bed which the kids enjoyed, plus a king bed for us. Even though it was up in the mountains you could still walk to town. Perfect place to stay in Yangshuo.

Sehr schön gelegenes, liebevoll und sehr professionell geführtes Hotel. Alle sprechen Englisch. Sehr gutes Essen; viele Optionen (chinesisch, westlich), was in China vielerorts keine Selbverständlichkeit ist. Leider etwas abgelegen. Zur schönen Landschaft am Yulong-Fluss muss man die verkehrsreiche Stadt Yangshuo durchqueren. Nach Xingping (Norden) und zum Bahnhof sind es ca. 45 - 60 Min. Fahrt. Trotzdem empfehlenswert.

It was fantastic trip and stay at this hotel

we stayed yangshuo and this hotel two night. Front desk and staff was very kind and really do their best to help us. (especially arrange train schedule, give information to yangshuo sightseeing spot,,, and so on....) Room is very clean and comfort. Next time, we gonna visit this hotel again and take comfort time once more!!!

第一次來到陽朔，入住水岸山居，整個體驗非常好。 酒店環境：戶外環境優美，空氣清新。 酒店設施：天氣太冷了，室外游泳池等等都沒有使用，但看着挺好 服務態度：酒店每位服務人員都很有禮貌，態度親切，願意為客人解決問題，同時也提供不少好的建議。 酒店餐廳：不論是早餐和炒菜，都美味可口。 房間環境：入住了套房，環境很好。跟酒店服務人員說了洗手盤有漏水情況和需要更換吹風機都有立馬跟進修覆。房間沒有電視，環境非常幽静。 其他：通過酒店參加了一天團，女司機開車認真負責，一整天坐車都穩穩的，旅程中有說有笑。

Very beautiful view from room. Warm and helpful staffs. Many details to keep guest warm in winter, apart from Individual room heater also heater in shower room and electric blanket.

Hotel magnifique tres belle piscine grande chambre confortable avec balcon. Un peu a l ecart et c est tres reposant. Restaurant correct sans plus.

Petite structure située à l'extérieur de la ville de Yangshuo. Parfait pour le calme et à seulement cinq minutes en taxi du centre-ville. La piscine est vraiment agréable et le restaurant (un peu cher par rapport aux standards chinois) propose une cuisine chinoise ou occidentale.

hors de la ville, dans un havre de paix, le personnel vous organise toutes les excursions possible avec une guide anglophone très sympathique ou des chauffeurs très compétents. La chambre famille est magnifique avec une superbe vue, le personnel est charmant, dévoué et très très compétent. Séjour parfait!!!

Great place with great staff

The Li River resort is very well situated, on a quiet place near Jungshuo. The staff is friendly and helpful with small issues but also arranging tailored programmes in the region upon request. The bike tour arranged by the hotel was really worthwhile. The owner is hospitable, professional in a accommodating way, but never pushy. The rooms and the hotel in general are done with taste, ensuring a relaxed stay. Most rooms have a beautiful view on the Li River.

Geweldig hotel met schitterende locatie

De ligging is geweldig. Het is rustig gelegen met een prachtig zich over de de li river en niet ver van het levendige centrum (± 20 minuten lopen). Onze kamer was erg ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien met een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier. We hebben regelmatig in het hotel zelf gegeten. Het eten was voortreffelijk, voldoende keuze en niet duur. Een compliment aan het personeel!

梦想中的度假胜地，漓江从脚下流过，远离城市的喧闹

非常非常好的酒店，简直是我梦想中的度假胜地。地理位置真的很好，酒店不在阳朔城区，出入只有打车最方便，打车从西街过来大概不超过10分钟，其实很近。但是酒店在山中，脚下漓江水流过，每天在清脆的鸟鸣中醒来，桂林的山水在酒店也可以享受到。位置绝佳。 服务很不错，有一次中午回来拿东西，正赶上客房服务在帮我们换被罩。说一点不太好的，酒店内的早餐比较贵，不能含在房价里。最便宜的欧陆式早餐也要35元/人，酒店内的晚餐中规中矩，酒店门口有一个家庭式的餐馆，吃了两顿都非常好吃，但是价格不便宜。
