Beautifully serene and aesthetically appealing to the eye. Gorgeous view of the water from the countryside and tucked away from crowds and noise. Two stunning pools and lobby/lounge area that is never crowded. Should have car available or rent one to get to quaint town 8 minutes away, otherwise you are limited to the grounds. Cuisine was tasty and service staff was welcoming. Upscale in taste and price but we were very pleased with our stay. Would recommend.

A beautiful property in a idyllic setting with a view of the coast and sea. The rooms are rustic and charming. Services include a great spa, 2 pools and a superb restaurant.

Gorgeous hotel with every detail considered on your behalf. 2 pools, a stunning spa, tennis courts, shuttle to the beach, and a delicious breakfast. Everything you need can be reserved via an app which is very convenient! The hotel made us feel very safe during Covid and even changed the spa and hangman to exclusive use for 1 hour a day per guests. I can’t recommend this hotel more highly - it’s expensive but the view and service and rooms are worth every cent!

This was, quite simply, one of the best holidays we've ever had (despite Covid-19!) & full credit must go to the wonderful team at Li Finistreddi for delivering such a brilliant experience during such a difficult time. The service was flawless and the name 'country retreat' is absolutely spot-on - this is not a hotel in the conventional sense but a delightful estate nestled into the hillside a mile above the small town of Cannigione with 19 'rooms'. We stayed in 'Lantana' - my wife, daughter and I - which was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and generously apportioned. No building is more than one storey high, so the entire space feels in harmony with the stunning location. Nature abounds - butterflies, lizards, martens, night-jars - & the entire estate is meticulously kept. The restaurant is very good indeed but we alternated eating in and out on a daily basis. My wife is a coeliac & the chef provided all manner of gluten-free alternatives at both breakfast and dinner, as well as catering to my 12-year old daughter with great flexibility. Plenty of external guests come in for dinner, particularly at the weekend, which is always a good sign. Due to Covid, the hotel was not full when we stayed, but even at peak time I can't imagine this place would ever feel 'busy'. This is probably the best place we have stayed for a relaxing summer break/retreat and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

the property was beautifully landscaped and spread out that it felt like I was in my own villa most of the time. The staff and service was above and beyond exceptional. both the ladies at the reception desk were great and the bartender Giuseppe was amazing in his friendliness and service, one of the best I and my friends and family have come across. This man made the stay so much more enjoyable.

Nice quiet setting with a great view

The hotel staff were very friendly, accommodating, and considerate. The area was nice and quiet and the pool / restaurant had a great view. The hotel is located on the hills and is only a 10 Min or so drive to Cannigione which is very convenient. Excellent if you’re looking for some tranquility.

First trip to Sardinia...but not the last!

Hotel Li Finistreddi is such a beautiful hotel, in a lovely setting. Me and my husband stayed for 10 days from 20th June 2018. We arrived very late, but someone was there to greet us and take our bags to our room, rooms are compact but immaculate and the balcony with sea view was a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive, we only ate in the Restaurant twice but the food and service was totally amazing, a little more pricey but you did get what you paid for... Facilities on site were great from the Pools to the Spa and the wellness walk (which we walked every day). A car is recommended but we just hired one from the airport for our stay, Sardinia is a beautiful island to explore so definately a must!...Beaches are close by and Cannigione is a lovely little town. We will definately be back

Lovely, quiet hotel, great staff

Great hotel, minimalist rooms. Would be nice if the restaurant did some more traditional dishes, it seems it's aimed more at experience diners. Staff were great, nice breakfasts. Spa is small but nice, hotel is small so unlikely to find it busy.

The hotel staff is magnificent. They've assisted us recommending incredible places. It's located in the middle of nowhere which makes the ride to get there a pleasure. The views are marvelous. It's 10 minutes from the closest town. The views are splendid.

Nice location. Hotel could be much improved

we could hear our neighbours on both sides, talking, showering and going to the toilet...bathroom was not in good condition. Toilet seat was broken. I showered with my flip-flops on as the shower was old and grey in some areas. We were disturbed by 2 weddings on Saturday and Sunday had to put up with noise and stressed staff. Breakfast was minimal and every day the same.Staff were in general nice.

Window on the world

We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel restaurant and bar excellent with good wine choices. The gardens and pools are very beautiful and relaxing the Spa was an added bonus with both treatments and facilities including the gym. It was easy to access all the local towns with good restaurants and good base to explore the north of the island. The staff were very friendly and helpful we were surprised lots close in October?

It was a very nice hotel with great views of La Maddallena. I highly recommend this place as it's clean, quiet and secluded! Perfect country retreat!

Amazing views, amazing hideaway

We've just returned from Li Finistreddi and what an amazing place. It's a very chic, cosmopolitan boutique hotel with amazing views. We stayed in the Pool suite and there was ample room for us and our daughter. The staff are very welcoming but not intrusive and there to help as and when you needed them. We loved the breakfasts. Simple but delicious. Yes there is no omelette on demand or vast array of salads, cold meats etc but good quality breakfast fayre....cereals, juices, fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, croissants and plenty of cakes! Having breakfast on the terrace in front of the infinity pool was just perfect. We ate once in the restaurant and that also was lovely but it was more fine dining and with our daughter we needed more everyday food so ate most nights in the delightful town Cannigione which was only 10mins drive away. Lots of really good restaurants there.

Elegant, peaceful, welcoming stay; stunning views

Celebrated our anniversary and could not be happier with the 3-night stay here. Peaceful, upscale property with attentive, warm service. Room was well-equipped, rustic style, and the bed was as comfortable as our favorite luxury hotel chain's signatures bed. Appreciated the spa and good details strong umbrellas at the pool when a fee breezes came gusting through. Everything about the stay was first class. We updated the marker on A popular map website to reflect the correct entrance from the main road. Hope to return one day!

Beautiful hotel with a great view

We had a very nice room and a balcony with an amazing view to the seaside. Hotel looks beautiful in the daytime and even better at night. Great place to stay for few days to relax from traveling.

A Natural beauty

Room a little small, but lovely setting. The breakfast area is set around the infinity pool overlooking lush countryside. It was our first hotel booking in Sardinia, and after on week here touring the island it was probably one of our best.

Relaxing Hotel - Perfect Base

Great base to explore Costa Smeralda. Staff are excellent and rooms are cleaned (excessively) daily. Hotel and the view is even better than the pictures show. Hotel restaurant is very good, although a little expensive.

Wonderful stay.

Very nice hotel with great facilities at a reasonable price. Super helpful staff. I note that the hotel is a bit isolated from towns and beaches, so a car is really necessary. Also, while not an issue for me, the pools weren't heated, so quite cool in mid to late May.

Very quiet, tranquil hotel

Hotel in situated approx 3 miles from Cannigione- a small coastal town with sufficient restaurants and facilities. You definitely need a car to access amenities outside the hotel. The hotel wasn't busy during our stay and at times spent around the pool, we were often the only people there ( there are 2 pools on site) !. The hotel facilities are very good - the grounds are well kept, elegant reception/lounge areas and the rooms are lovely - all with a balcony and view of the (distant) sea. Good internet/wifi. Powerful shower /good toiletries. The service/hotel staff were excellent. Good choice at breakfast which was served on terrace ( shaded or sunny spots), overlooking the infinity pool. A good location for experiencing the beaches around the Smerelda coast- after a day out, lovely to come back to relaxing hotel.

Fantastic place, absolutely beautiful and peaceful

I stayed with my girlfriend for 1 week, i cannot fault the hotel and would certainly revisit and recommend to anybody! Very quiet and peaceful, due to the small amount of rooms we usually had the pool to ourselves or maybe share with another couple. Staff were great and the food from the restaurant was fantastic, highly recommend the seafood platter. The views were fantastic and you're about a 5/10 minute drive to the nearest town, which worked well for us as we hired a car and could go out for dinner, we ate at the hotel restaurant twice and very reasonable priced and food was great! Highly recommend!!!!

Beautiful and relaxing hotel.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and were absolutely delighted with our choice. On arrival we were greeted by a very sweet lady who kindly showed us around the hotel and explained the facilities. We were then showed to our room where the staff had left us a bottle of champagne - what a lovely gesture! Our hotel room was stunning with a beautiful view over the mountain, sea and nearby island. The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful; whenever they saw us they always greeted us and any request was not a problem.

Lovely hotel, disappointing food

It’s worth noting that the hotel is not where it appears on the hotels.com map - it's much further up into the mountains. We were a bit disappointed about this, as we were specifically trying to find a hotel near the centre of Cannigione. You'll definitely need a car to get anywhere. That being said, the hotel was gorgeous. Recently renovated, the entire place had a luxurious feel to it. Beautiful pools, scenery, and rooms. It was very quiet though - both in terms of guests (which was great for us - pool to ourselves most days, in August!), and staff (they seemed to disappear at random times during the day, which made it hard to get drinks from the bar, or any help from reception). Breakfast is standard continental fare, but a limited selection, and the cooked options weren't all that appetising. For dinner, the hotel's restaurant really feels like it's trying too hard. They seem to be going for fine dining, and the decor and scenery certainly fit that well (as does the price of the food - ouch!). But the quality of the food itself is rather poor. One night I had the rabbit lasagnetta, and it came out stone cold. It took me ages to flag down a waiter to explain, and after that, no apology or recompense. Very disappointed. Other nights, I had sub-standard beef (billed as 'angus steak', but tough and chewy, and cut into a strange rectangle). I really feel like they're missing a trick here - if they concentrated on simple, local cuisine done well, they'd be onto a winner.

Stunning hotel which exceeded our expectations.

The accommodation was lovely and the infinity pool and areas around were stunning; in one word idyllic. We will certainly return to this beautiful hotel in the future. Peace and quiet in area of outstanding beauty. Excellent room service from cleaning staff and reception staff. I really want to keep it a secret.

Peaceful haven in Sardinia

Hotel Finistreddi has a very exclusive and luxurious ambience upon arrival. The view and the grounds are spectacular and having just arrived from a hectic weekend in Rome it felt like the perfect place to unwind. We were told they were fully booked but it seemed very quiet and we often felt like the only ones staying there. This was nice at times, and the surroundings of Finistreddi are truly amazing. However we both felt the Hotel lacked atmosphere. The staff were always eager to please and attentive but sometimes this felt a bit too much, and was sometimes inconsistent. But it was clear they meant well. We ate in the restaurant twice in the 5 days and the food was nice enough. The breakfast was really good. You do need a car as HF really is in the sticks. It's clear the Hotel public areas have been finished to a very high standard and it's very tastefully decorated throughout. The design of the room interiors jar a bit with this as they are much more rustic in design. Sitting having a Spritz on the terrace gazing out to the sea view as the sun sets really is a wonderful thing and I would recommend HF to friends.

Beautiful hotel. Remote location.

Pros: beautiful hotel, big rooms, private terrace, great professional and friendly staff. Great swimming pool and not crowded. Hotel is 2.5km from nearest village and beaches, so it is very quiet. Lovely views. Cons: reception closes at night and doesn't open till 7am, which was a bit of a problem as we had an early flight. Gym hasn't got many facilities.

A Magical Place!

We have just spent a wonderful week at this hotel. The grounds are truly beautiful and the views are magical: mountains, clear aqua sea and tranquil, beautifully maintained grounds. We were the first guests to stay here after an extensive and tasteful refurbishment. Everything is cream and beige and very understated and elegant. The staff were fantastic; they couldn't do enough for us. You are greeted personally by the manager and the restaurant staff, with the considerate Christian at the helm, were thoughtful, attentive and charming. Christian rose especially early to prepare breakfast for us on our last day and even included sandwiches for our journey home. The restaurant provides a delicious menu and a complimentary glass of wine. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to those seeking tranquility and stunning scenery in tasteful surroundings with staff whose aim is to please. Thank you for a memorable and very special stay.

サルデーニャ観光で2泊しました。5つ星ホテルに泊まりたくてこちらを利用しました。まず驚かれたのはホテルの広大な敷地です。門を通ってからホテルのレセプションを着くまで、かなりの距離がありますが、その敷地はとても綺麗に整備されています。またプールはインフィニティプールとなっており、最高の空間です。部屋はモダンではなく、可愛い古風な造りでした。ここは好みが別れるかもしれませんが、好きな人にはたまらないと思います。レストランの食事やスタッフの対応も良く、非常に良い休日となりました。

Sehr exclusiv, tolle Aussicht, guter Service

Personnel aux petits soins, qualité gastronomique et retraite paisible. Le cadre et l’écrin vert dans lesquels se niche ce domaine à perte de vue sont tout simplement à couper le souffle. Tout y est pour vivre la Sardaigne dans ce joyau. Le Li Finistreddi est incontournable.

Sehr schöne Zimmer nur leider hört man alles vom Nachbarzimmer, wenn dies besetzt ist.

Genuss und Erholung pur

Ein wunderschönes Retreat in herrlich ruhiger Umgebung. Es bietet Erholung pur. Die Zimmer sind vielleicht etwas klein, dafür ist die Anlage umso grosszügiger und äusserst gepflegt und der Blick in die Hügel und aufs Meer ein Traum. Der Service ist zuvorkommrnd und herzlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Hotel muito bonito e bem conservado. Funcionários do restaurante cordiais, recepcionista rude. Piscina com horário restrito em pleno verão europeu, escurecia as 21h e limite para utilizar a piscina era as 19h. Serviço de quarto com valor abusivo.

Belle étape et personnel au top

Magnifique étape dans notre visite de la Sardaigne. La qualité de la nourriture et le choix des produits proposés au petit déjeuner ainsi qu'au diner sont remarquables, tout comme le service. Un léger bémol du à l'humidité de notre chambre... ( draps humides...) Il manque un système de chauffage efficace tout du moins au printemps car les nuits sont fraiches. La clim inversée n'etait pas suffisante pour réchauffer la chambre.

Grandiose Aussicht die es einem "wert" sein muss !

Nach insgesamt knapp 3 Wochen Sardinien-Tour durch die Nordhälfte, mit Besuch auf LA MADDALENA und der Rallye-WM rund um ALGHERO und SASSARI, wählten wir dieses Hotel zum "finalen Abschluss", trotz einiger kritischer Stimmen auf Bewertungsportalen. Der Gesamturlaub hat uns ca. € 6.500.-, was bedeuten soll, dass wir durchaus bereit sind für schöne Erlebnisse (viel) Geld auszugeben, wie letztes Jahr auf den Seychellen im Kempinski-Hotel. Dieses Hotel war nun für uns der Maßstab für das hier zu beurteilende Haus. Die Einfahrt und der erste Gesamteindruck waren hervorragend, auch wenn wir wie in den beiden anderen Hotels auf Sardinien gerne einen "Welcome-Drink" vor dem Infinity-Pool eingenommen hätten - bei einem Durchschnittspreis von > € 290.- wäre ein Glas Prosecco nicht zu viel verlangt, oder ?! So genehmigten wir uns bei der Ankunft zur Mittagszeit eine typische sardische Käse-/Wurstplatte, die sehr reichhaltig und köstlich war, dazu ein Glas Wein und Bier ... dieses Bier wurde mit € 15.- für 0,5 ltr. berechnet, was unserer Meinung nichts mehr mit "gehobenen Preis" zu tun hatte. Hier kam das erste ungute Gefühl auf. Auf dem viel zu kleinen Zimmer suchten wir den Mülleimer vergeblich und so ein kleiner TV ist selbst auf unseren Dienstreisen kaum mehr anzutreffen. Die Krönung war jedoch am nächsten Morgen die Preisliste für die Zubereitung von Spiegeleiern (€ 5.-) und Omeletts (€ 8.-) !!! Am Abend gingen wir wie die meisten Hotelgäste daher dann extern Essen !

Traumhaftschönes Hotel

Die im Internet dargestellten Bilder entsprechen in jedem Detail der Wirklichkeit. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und absolut passend - nicht zu aufrdinglich, bekommen aber immer mit, wenn etwas fehlt. Wir haben das Abendessen im Hotel nicht getetstet. Das Frühstück aber war wirklich perfekt - besonder der Cappuccino ist wirklich gut- Vor Ort benötigt man ein Auto, da das Hotel etwas außerhalb von Cannigione auf dem Berg liegt, dadurch ist es aber wirklich sehr angenehm ruhig und man hat einen wundervollen Ausblick von der Frühstücksterasse auf das Meer!!! Es war ein rund um perfekter Urlaub!

Ruhiges Hotel

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und die Bedinenung sehr freundlich. Die Zimmergrösse ist ein wenig knapp bemessen, dafür ist es sehr ruhig. Das Essen ist sehr gut jedoch für das Gebotene am oberen Niveau. Das Frühstück ist vielseitig und alles sehr frisch und ansprechend präsentiert. Das Hotel liegt am Hang mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht auf das Meer.

Hübsches Hotel in den Bergen

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön mit grandioser Aussicht. In der gepflegten,sauberen Anlage kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Das Frühstück war ganz ok. Die hübschen Zimmer sind nicht allzugross, das Bad und die Dusche fanden wir etwas zu klein. Auch fehlten Kosmetiktücher, was in dieser Preiskategorie eigentlich zum Standard gehört. Der Service hat noch potential nach oben. Das Gourmet-Restaurant hat uns nicht überzeugt. Wir würden das Hotel weiterempfehlen und auch wieder kommen.

Die Hotelanlage bietet viel Ruhe und Entspannung etwas abseits der Ortschaften, bietet aber trotzdem schöne Meerblicke.
