Great location! The apartment was very cute and quaint. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable. The shower was very nice with great water pressure. Would've been nice to have some extra pillows, towels, and blankets for the bed.
Great Apartment
Once we got into the apartment it was excellent, but checking in was not exactly smooth.
Great location, lovely place, a few issues
Let me start by saying this is my fourth trip to Rome. I've stayed at hotels and B&Bs, so this apartment was a nice change. Mostly the experience was positive. We needed access to John Cabot University in Trastevere, literally steps from the apartment, so the location was great. Be warned: there are no major grocery stores or coffee shops about, if that's important. There is, however, fantastic shopping and some lovely restaurants where one can eat on a cobbled patio with views of churches and locals wandering. Another warning: we had to go to some effort to get into the place. The company wasn't great about confirming a location to meet and get the keys, and when we arrived no one was there. We called and an hour later someone showed. My Italian is rudimentary, but for someone with no Italian, communication would have been an issue as the man who escorted us spoke very little English. No toilet paper upon arrival, no coffee maker. I ended up buying a little espresso maker for the stove top. Air conditioning, bathroom, fridge etc. were great. Our only real complaint was the lack of attentiveness of staff. Two other points about them: the day we arrived, our 'host' insisted we hand over the room tax in cash immediately. That was a little odd, but I assume it's because they lack the facilities to scan a credit card. They also didn't reply when I asked how to check out, so we had to leave the key and get ourselves to the airport.
Call in advance, but A fabulous Suite
This is a suite room on the third floor of a local apartment building. There is one bedroom and a pull out "double mattress size" sofa for two additional sleeping places. The suite is in fantastic shape. There is no elevator so plan accordingly. There was no towel service or any kind of service during the three nights we were there. This was fine with us, though the bathmat never really dried out. It is extremely important to call the hotel in Italy to let them know when you expect to arrive as there is no personnel on site to let you in to the site. The site of the suite is fabulous, in the middle of Trastevere, near great food, coffee shops and sandwich and gelato shops. The street is inaccessible to taxis or uber so they will drop you off nearby.

Missing the finishing touch.
The apartment was very nicely furnished but a few areas needed attention. Clean dish cloths, washing liquid, tea and sugar etc would have been a nice touch. We were there for 5 nights and no cleaning service. For what we paid that was disappointing.
