The hospitality at L'Hotel du LAC Hanoi was absolutely fantastic! The staff was always very welcoming and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond any expectations we had. They even were nice enough to accommodate a late checkout for us. We highly recommend this hotel!

The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and all of the necessary amenities. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. The hotel staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay.

I've traveled overseas quite a bit, and Hotel du Lac is the absolute best experience I've had. Hotel arranged transport to/from airport. Upon arrival, staff met us on the busy street to help us out of car and take luggage inside. Sit down check-in with hot tea, map, and explanations of hotel amenities and area restaurants and points of interests. After helping us to the rooms with luggage, we were ready to go with the information they already gave us! EVERY time we passed through the hotel, hotel staff greeted us by name and gave us information when applicable, such as ride information to HaLong Bay. This team was absolutely perfect and made the holiday so much more enjoyable. EACH and every one of them. The rooms were good, clean and everything we needed, plus fresh bananas, water, coffee, and tea. We also ate at the hotel one night, and the food was superb....a little more expensive as expected, but worth it for a no-hassle meal. The morning included breakfast was a beautiful buffet, and they also offered to cook western breakfast if wanted. But again, the staff at this location provided the most personal stay ever....words really cannot express our gratitude. Thank you team....you are all so special and will be remembered. Next time in Hanoi, there will be no question on where we'll stay. Praying that this beautiful city retains its culture so we can continue exploring more. Thank you again Hotel du Lac, best holiday ever!!!!!

The staff was so kind and welcoming. They even set up a sweet presentation upon arrival for our honeymoon— at 1AM! Breakfast was delicious and I’m convinced this is the best location to stay if you like the Old Quarter. Close to Hoan Kiem but not in the thick of it. Definitely go down the street to visit Kim at local craft beer..

Absolution fantastic staff. A great option for a stay in Hanoi.

I really like this place. I wish it was a little bit bigger but all in all it was a really good time. The buffet breakfast in the basement was top-notch. The staff was amazing. Every thing nearby was super close. The staff always remember your name and seem to really like working there. It doesn’t have a a gym or a pool, but it definitely has location.

This was an amazing experience! The staff was so attentive, friendly and helpful. Rioms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar was lovely. We enjoyed it nearly every night suring our stay. While much of the trip was pre-planned, the staff guided us expertly to fill in the gaps.

Front office manager Louis and his staff went all the way in making sure my wife and I had one of the best hotel experience ever. Hotel was immacculately clean and beautiful. The staff was extremely attentive and kind. Restaurant was absolutely wonderful. We highly recomend this hotel and we for sure will be back

This is a very nice property, conveniently located with extremely friendly staff. The rooms are small but quite nice and the breakfast is pretty amazing. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Service from front desk was incredible!

The people in this hotel go significantly above and beyond! They handled several things for us and always remembered us and what we needed! They walked us out to our taxi and waved us off. The room itself was fine bathroom a little small. Pillows could use better options. Breakfast was fine.

Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend and would choose this hotel again on a return visit.

A true boutique hotel. beautiful decor. I have stayed there before and will continue to do so as I travel to Hanoi 3-4 times a year. Highly recommended.

Fabulous location. Wonderful,helpful staff could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Recommended places to eat , kept our luggage for us. Delicious breakfast with lots of choices.

We booked on short notice and for a short stay. We were very happy with this hotel and felt it was a good value. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and accomodating. They allowed early checkin and late checkout which was nice and above and beyond service. TV was easy to operate and included netflix. A nice breakfast was included with our stay. Location in old quarter was safe and fun. I would say the most outstanding feature was the staff. Attentive and friendly they were available to assist with all elements of our stay from procuring tickets to advice for sightseeing and dining. Just excellent! Highly recommend this gem of a hotel and will stay here again next time I visit Hanoi.

Nice central hotel with impeccable service

A nice centrally located boutique style hotel. The service is impeccable and the staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Nice buffet breakfast with a good selection of items as well as a menu choice available. Only minor grumble is that the room was on the small side but everything else was very good indeed.

This hotel is a complete gem! Excellent service, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast. Easy walking distance to all the sights. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

A gem of a hotel

The service at this hotel is exceptional, from check in to check out. The breakfast was also wonderful and the hotel is very cute. The bed was also comfortable and the hotel is well situated. They also arranged a car to the airport. High marks all around!

Pleasant stay at L'Hotel du LAC Hanoi

Service is 100%! Location is wonderful. Room is OK. Clean and cozy, but the bathroom needs to be upgraded.

The hotel room was small but cozy and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really good as well. The location is very convenient where you can easily access to the tourist spots nearby.

The service in this Hotel is about one of the best I have ever experienced. The staff is absolutely charming and they go well beyond their way to help you. Next time I visit Hanoi I'll go back for sure to L'Hôtel du Lac

It was the perfect spot for what I wanted. Walking distance to all the local spots and then I did excursions everyday. The staff are amazing and are there to make your stay easy and pleasant. Would highly recommend

The Staff are outstanding! They are kind and really care enough to do their best to make their guest feel right at home. Breakfast is superb; so many choices from traditional. Vietnamese cuisine to more familiar options. I highly recommend as as great choice in Hanoi’s “Old Town Quarter”.

Great experience!

We recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Hotel L'Hotel du LAC The location was absolutely perfect for exploring the city. Our small room was very comfortable, especially the bed which provided excellent sleep after busy days. We treated ourselves to a massage at the spa and it was truly wonderful, a real highlight of our trip. But what really made this hotel stand out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble! Highly recommended!

The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. We loved the convenient location close to major attractions.

Staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, and the beautiful breakfast spread more than made up for the room. The room itself was large; bathroom could do with a bit of update. Guests immediately receive a warm welcome on arrival. Location is perfect for exploring the city.

5 Nights in L'Hotel de Lac

We had a 5 night stay the staff were very friendly and helpful - location in the old quarter central to everything, the hotel was amazing many murals depicting that area of Hanoi. The breakfast buffet catered for everyone and was lovely. We hosted a dinner for 6 people in the hotel dining room and our guests were blown away by the decor and more importantly the quality of the food.

Highly recommended stay in Hanoi

We had a delightful stay here. The staff welcomed us with a delicious cinnamon ginger tea (which we liked so much that they gave us the recipe for it!) and was so friendly every time we came through the lobby. The breakfast buffet is great, the rooftop bar has a great view, and I had a wonderful massage at the spa. We also received good recommendations for food in the area (not tourist traps!). I would happily stay at this hotel again!

Love their staff

Great choice for staying in the Old Quarter. Lovely hotel, super attentive staff, well appointed rooms, like the little balconies over the street and, despite being in the middle of the Old Quarter, it wasn't noisy. Nice breakfast and even room service if you like, also they kept our luggage when we left Hanoi and returned a few days later.

Staff members were so friendly, helpful and supportive. They were helping me to take care my husband during stay at the hotel (he had food poisoning from the food he ate in Phuquoc), staff’s member always care and asked about his condition, also requested the chef for food that my husband can eat and bring food to our room. I really appreciate all the things that hotel’s staff did for us during our stay at their hotel.

Beautiful small hotel in a very central location. Quiet in the rooms. Rooms are pretty small. It was ok for one person but could be cramped for 2. Breakfast was great and the staff outstanding.

Incredible Breakfast and Hospitality

Staff were amazing! The breakfast was included but seemed so custom and we had everything made to serve. Overall is wonderful. The manager of the restaurant, Rosie, is extremely exceptional to make our stay even better. Most staff spoke English or at least tried hard to help us. The hotel is in the Old Quarter and within walking distance of everything. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

Amazing hospitality

Hospitality was incredible. There was some work upgrade being done at the hotel but they send you a letter ahead but we didn’t experience and issues. Breakfast was included and was exceptional and they serve you custom as you order it fresh. I would stay here again.

Great location

Hotel nextdoor is under construction at the moment so it was frequently very loud. Location of this hotel is perfect for having a walk to train street, old town, cathedral or french quarter. There's a spa but the facility is somewhat basic. Any reviews you read of the spa keep in mind they stand and watch you review it so I suspect people rate it highly just to not be awkward.

The staffs are so warm-welcoming and friendly. They always try to help me out. Nice location and great breakfast. Highly recommended and will visit there again if i have a chance to visit Hanoi next time

This hotel had the coolest decor of all the places we stayed in Vietnam. Excellent restaurant as well, and a chill rooftop bar to hang out after a day navigating the wild streets of Hanoi. The staff was fabulous.

We were happy with the beds and quietness of the hotel at night. We had two rooms in the back of the hotel, very quiet at night despite traffic. The breakfast was incredible. I do suggest getting only one Vietnamese coffee, it was strong, and two made us vibrate. lol, great experience!

Very clean hotel, beautiful design and artwork, the service is beyond amazing and all the staff are so thoughtful! I've stayed at a lot of high end hotels (like recently the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills) and the staff at L'hotel du Lac provide a far greater service! They remember your name and any detail you've told them, open the doors when you approach the entrance at any time if the day, remembered when our departure date is and where we were traveling to next and offered to set up and tours or rides, when we missed breakfast (that's included in our stay) when we slept in, they offered to send up tea, fruits and breads to ensure we've eaten breakfast, and they even provided a really nice departing gift! And the breakfast was astounding!! We got the Vietnamese traditional breakfast items like pho, fried sticky rice and traditional coffees and they were better than most of the popular restaurants we've tried around Ha Noi! I booked this hotel as a last minute hotel change since I wanted to be in the Old Quarter and couldn't be happier with the choice, it's perfectly located, walking distance to the main attractions like train street, the lake, popular shopping streets, the cathedral, and popular restaurants. If I visit Hanoi in the future, I will be coming right back to this hotel.

A Lovely Place to Stay

L'Hotel du Lac was excellent. It was in a great area with easy access to places of Interest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If I return to Hanoi I would stay at L'Hotel du Lac again.

Very friendly staffs and great service. The cocktails were very good at the sky lounge. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small and not much counter space to put anything. It will be also good to have some luggage stands. Overall great hotel and good location!

Great stuff and customer service

I have stayed at the best hotels in the world for business when I travel overseas to Asia. This was by far my favorite hotel. The staff was wonderful and I felt so secure and taken care of traveling alone for business. The area was fun and walkable to beautiful landmarks and tourist stops. The decor was stunning. My room was small with no view- but was perfect to decompress from the busy city. The bed was so comfortable. The food was really good. It should be a 5 star hotel. It is locally owned, and the staff took such great care of me with helping me with taxis and booking and excursion on my day off. Thank you all so much for making me feel safe and welcomed.

Staff attentive and supportive. Spectacular breakfast spread included! Bed, pillows, and linens dreamy and so amazingly comfortable! Skybar is beautiful and the drink was delicious!

My husband and I spent a week in Vietnam. Started off in Hochi min then in Hanoi. Hanoi far outweighed and we really enjoyed ourselves. A big contributing factor to our memorable holiday was staying at l'Hotel du Lac. Excellence is truly a moto the staff live by as they do their utmost best to serve and treat their guests like royalty. They also are very good at proactively assessing if you are not fully satisfied with something and rectify it. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay from the beautiful deco, the neat lovely rooms, the attention to detail, the breakfast food and hospitality, the spa treatment, the reception staff, the location etc. Highly recommend this hotel. A special thanks to Chloe who made our final check out experience great and rectified a checkout issue we encountered. Would be great if the hotel rooms supplied lotion as well amd not only bath gel etc.

The ideal location in the heart of Hanoi my wife and we really enjoyed our stay here and we give this hotel five stars we had a balcony deluxe suite which was absolutely perfect, plenty of room for three large suitcases in a special area of the suitea huge balcony and an amenities filled bathroom all the staff were wonderfully attentive and informative always with a smile We shared cocktails at happy hour on the rooftop bar on the 13th floor giving us a wonderful view of the city We highly recommend this Hotel

Great service

The service is impeccable. The soft touches such as made to order menu in addition to the buffet breakfast is great. Also they sent us free snacks and fruits after our long day at Ha Long Bay is so thoughtful. Everyone in the hotel are so friendly. We had a room with a balcony and the windows are double glazed so no noise from the street. The size of the room is a bit tight but adequate for 2 people.

The staff at L’Hotel du Lac were fantastic, the place is ver clean, and is in a very convenient location for walking around the lake and the Old Quarter. Chloe was extremely helpful in arranging for us a 3 day tour to Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh. The tour was great, and Chloe provided great follow up to during the tour to ensure that we knew exactly what connections we were getting between locations. Thank you Chloe. We would definitely stay at L’Hotel du Lac next time we are in Hà Nội.

The staff here cannot do enough for you. They make the hotel really special. They are helpful, polite, kind and look after you well. The hotel is in a good location and easy to find. Good rooftop bar and spa.
