staff was very rude and wasnt helpful at all. my room key didnt work for 3 times in a day and each time they asked me to go to the reception where you have to walk outside to get there.. in general staff at the reception were rude
Great place to stay
Very Good and accommodating.
Great and attentive staff
Too expensive for
Jimmy in the ski shop was amazzzing! And the shuttle drivers. Very disappointed that when we took dirty towels (very dirty) on arrival to reception no apology or acknowledgement of how something like that wasn’t acceptable! Given cost and added charges we incurred it did make us not want to return. Nobody wants to find towels brown stained. The spa treatments were amazing and girls were very lovely.
A lovely weekend. Super helpful staff and a generally lovely place to stay. Extremely relaxing.
Perfect stay
We only stayed for couple of nights but everything was in order except for a slow shower drain. We had to stop shower to wait for water to drain. Otherwise, its a cute place that offers many amenities on site.
Location and drive service to ski lifts
Great hotel
We’ve stayed here 5 times now and it never disappoints in terms of comfort and location. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite as we are a family of 4 and there’s plenty of space. The restaurant food is good although the breakfast is super expensive at €20 a head, especially when my 2 children can’t eat very much and are charged the same as adults. So that’s my only gripe.
very good choice
lovely appartment; lovely view, location was good too, the nespresso machine was not functionning properly and was full of limestone ;and the pillows need changing as they smell really bad, therefore it was difficult to get to sleep. apart from those things to improve I would definitely go back to this hotel, as all in all we a very pleasant stay !
Excellent place to stay.
Nice small but friendly hotel. Shuttle bus to and from the slopes and town was really useful. Nice bar and restaurant was good. Very handy have the ski and boot hire shop in the basement of the hotel. The two bedroom family room was a bit small, felt very cramped in the living area. Only one toilet in the apartment even though it had two bathrooms. The shower leaked all over the floor. Was more like a wet room, even though it wasn't supposed to be...
Hotel amenity
Great little hotel in a nice quiet area with all the facilities we were looking for. The pool is lovely as is the barrel sauna and they often have a fire pit lit outside which is great in the snow. The hotel's location is pretty good. It's 10-15 minutes walk into the centre of Megeve but its no problem. There is a VIP ski bus and the guys are happy to pick you up and drop you off in Megeve any time. There is a supermarket about 5-10 minutes walk away which is excellent. The hotel is actually closer to the Jaillet lift which takes up over the opposite side of the valley. The runs over there are tree lined, very quiet and very beautiful. The runs can connect you to Combloux which is also a nice village. We stayed in a suite for 4 days which had a small lounge area and small cooking area which was fully equipped. Our party sized reduced and we then moved into a 1 bed apartment which was very small. The storage provision could of been better and it would of made a big difference if there were some hooks on the walls for the all the gear we had. The restaurant and bar is well stocked with good beer and the there is a good cocktail list. The bar food was good especially the burgers which were excellent. We would recommend this hotel for a trip to Megeve, it's even dog friendly if you're taking your fury friend.
Very easy for skiing to Jaillet. Easy to go to city center with free
enjoyable stay in Megeve
Our apartment was very spacious with comfy beds, quiet modern and cosy at the same time. Adequate kitchen utensils were provided. Close to town(15min walk) in a quiet location. There is a heated outdoor pool. The reception staff were very friendly. The room can be improved with little things such as wall/door hooks for ski jackets etc. a couple British tv channels would good as I cant understand why non available when there are many others Korean, chinese etc but not British. Breakfast is very expensive @€25pp
Nice location. My room smelled of drains. It was a double in a space for a single, so overall cramped, nowhere to sit and relax. Travelling pals paid the same had better, larger, less smelly rooms. I would return but would make it clear that this room wouldn’t be suitable.
the worst experience
bad management.
I loved my stay here. All the staff were excellent. They couldn't do enough for you, so it felt very personable and welcoming, yet so professional at the same time. The ambiance was lovely. I really enjoyed having the kitchen - it was small but everything was there, and in working order - great coffee machine - and the cleaning staff always replaced everything perfectly. I had a lovey furnished, and peaceful balcony, with a nice view. I was very content there - could have stayed much longer than 5 nights! The hotel had lovely authentic facilities in bar and resraurant and outside dining area by the pool. I was very happy with this authentic and lovely hotel.
Fabulous, friendly four star!
We really loved staying at Les Loges Blanches. They have managed to combine all the luxury of 4*, with the friendliness you would normally expect in a family run B and B, with the flexibility and the independence of having an apartment- and have done it exceptionally well. We loved using the pool on a lovely sunny day, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend Les Loges Blanches in the summer, and I’m sure it’s just as good in the winter!
The individual units in 5 chalets gave a rustic charm Outdoor pool and sauna were a great relax at end of day On site restaurant and bar gave options in evening but town centre only a short walk away
Megeve les loges blanches
Rooms are simple but perfect for what you need. The eating area, lounge and swimming pool is what really makes this hotel. Great food and service.
Beautiful setting, great pool, lovely food and very helpful friendly staff. The shuttle service into town was great.
Very friendly staff. Easy, one stop process for ski rental, passes and transport.
Lovely helpful staff. Small but very well equipped rooms. Lovely bar. Restaurant food was excellent. In hotel ski ski shop. Great shuttle service into town. 5 minute walk to fantastic sports centre. The pool is a lot smaller than it looks in the photos.
very very poor. a 2* hotel pretending to be a 4* hotel. very overpriced and we feel duped. staff very unhelpful and rude especially in reception. all young pals with no training who preferred to stand around and talk to each other rather than helping guests and working together to provide a 4* service. bar closed on friday night and told had to go into town ( 20 mins away via shuttle ) to get a drink. too far out of megeve. a drag to get the hotel shuttle all the time. worst “suite” we have ever stayed in. more like student halls of residence. pathways around hotel a deathtrap as not cleared of ice and snow. did not expect to have to get dressed in snow boots and outdoor clothes just to go in for breakfast. not a hotel for skiers !!!! shuttle bus drivers ( and we had to use the shuttle bus all the time ) were very helpful.
The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Rooms were good.
When we checked into our room the manager told us Expedia made an error on the description of the bedding for the suite we reserved. We were not as comfortable with the sleeping conditions as 2 had to sleep on a sofa trundle. The manager did offer to adjust the rate so were satisfied with the compromise primarily due to the great overall service in every other aspect of the lodge including the front desk, restaurant, lovely bar upstairs, town shuttle and the ski rental. The amenities were great and the location was very good. Great for families! The lodge has a very convienient ski rental downstairs that takes care of all of your needs very efficiently and even shuttles you directly to the town lift.
Wonderful family ski holiday
We stayed at Les Loges Blanches from 1-9th April 2018. Our little family of 4 had a wonderful time here and would heartily recommend it to anyone. Room - we had a slightly more premium room with kitchen and double bedroom. Nice facilities, Space to store, sofa bed that easily packed away, Great in-room Nespresso and fresh pouches each day. Quiet situation Service : Extremely helpful staff on reception and the maid service was excellent on a daily basis. Pool : We were in the pool 7days out of 8 after we skied and this was beautifully warm and great fun. Location : Easy 10min walk to Megeve centre and good underground parking @ 10Euros per day Small comments to correct : Sister hotel closed for refurb and so facilities not available, Sauna not working and a couple of minor issues in the room. Brilliant holiday !
Lovely hotel and pool etc but the junior suite room was very small. Certainly couldn't fit more than 2 people in there and that is a squeeze with luggage etc. Very tight space but other than that the hotel is wonderful and the staff are all very eager to please.
Affordable and well located.
We were pleasantly surprised. We could have done with some orientation as we noticed a few guests didn’t know the lounge and bar on the first floor even existed. Fortunately we discovered it on the first day as it was a lovely space away to enjoy.
Family Ski Weekend
Decent family suite but trip made so much better by friendless of entire staff from reception to cleaning staff and particularly the Ski Shop couldn't have done more to help . 10 minutes out of Megeve centre but if short walk of shuttle service doesn't bother you then it is a great option .
Small issue (sauna) ruins all good efforts
Pros/Cons for Les Loges blanches PROS: (1) very friendly staff, (2) well equipped and spacious rooms, (3) good ski-shop & shuttle to lifts CONS: (1) sauna is DISASTER (outside-just on snow, cold, no changing room and shower, no warm underway), (2) bad ventilation in the toilet, (3) inexperienced staff and slow service, (4) enough far from the centre of the town
Great hotel for a ski break
- We got upgraded for free to a suite which was lovely - Lovely staff who spoke very good English - Can get lift pass from hotel and they have a ski shop - Lovely bar area - Didn't eat in hotel - just got some food for breakfast to eat in our room - Lovely rooms - Great swimming pool and sauna although pool is quite cool unless swimming - Great private shuttle bus to and from slopes / town Tip: Ask for a balcony / 1st / 2nd floor much nicer than the ground floor
Good restaurant not rooms
Room reminded of my high school boarding room . This is not a 4-star. Hotel and definitely not worth more than $90.- and we paid 500.- per night . Crazy !!i
Great hotel just outside Megeve within walking distance of the center. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Check in was friendly and the staff were very helpful. This hotel has a real chalet style and is perfect for a trip to the mountains.
never book
It was disgusting and falsely advertised.
Great place near from slopes and attractions
A great place to stay. It is a few steps from slopes and walking distance to restaurants and shopping center. We got Megeve late for ski, but no regrets... visiting surrounding villages: Chambery, Albertville, Sallanches and, of course, Chamonix is a very good reason to stay in town. Everything worked great for us at Les Loges Blanches, personal service, breakfast, help in our changing plans... the only thing I would recommend is to keep some services after 9 pm, it was impossible to get a Coke at night. An expending machine would had been great.
Quick weekend skiing
Great hotel and if you hire ski gear from shop at hotel they take you to and from town centre at the drop of a phone call.
Megeve
Close to the Jaillet lift with shuttle bus service. Town a good 15 mins walk. Nearest supermarket was 8 mins walk. Nothing much around other than other chalets. Has its own heated pool which was nice. Very small considering it was meant to sleep six (don't know where everyone would have sat) and only one toilet which was was facing the kitchenette - bad design, and so small you had to wedge yourself sideways against the loo to get in and out of it.
Lovely apartment for skiers and non skiers
Lovely comfortable apartment, nicely decorated. Lacks an oven but otherwise well equipped. Great outside pool and sauna area. Lifts and town centre a 10-15 minute walk. Highly recommended!
Dirty, gone very down. no value
Dirty, small rooms called suites. Should be rated 1 - 2 star not 4. Sadly no value at all Megeve wonderful so choose another hotel for your stay.
great location, amazing views
Beautiful place, staff were welcoming and lovely. The surroundings were why we went and we weren't disappointed!! The family sweet we had suited us perfectly, with all that was needed facility wise. Pool is small but a great addition to plunge into after a day's hiking.
Nice hotel but a bit disapointed
The hotel is nice but a lot of details made it feel not like a 4 stars. ( - no cocktails available - because they did not have order the alcools and ingredients - the bar is great - but we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come. And when the barman arrived - not even a sorry. - a big pile of towels stayed around the swimming pool all day long - the cleaning lady knocked at the door so loud 3 times before getting inside - it was 9:50 ! - the shower head is tiny. And you have to be 1:80 max. Overall the hotel is very nice but we had a few disappointing experience. -
Stunning venue in a beautiful region. Ideal for a quiet get away, or romantic trip.
Megeve
Nice and well kept property. Quiet. A little far to supermarket.
The 22 euro breakfast is not included but they neglect to inform you upon check in. There is no transportation to the ski area very close to hotel but it's walkable if you're not carrying equipment. There is an outdoor pool but no indoor spa or sauna not any lobby area in which to congregate. Cute and decently located but not great cake for the money. Breakfast a rip off; better value in the center of town.
Picturesque Lodge minutes from downtown
We upgraded to a junior suite. There was plenty of space with a kitchenette, a full bath/shower separate from the toilet, lots of closets, a living room and separate bedroom. Wraparound outdoor deck was a great space. The heated pool and sauna were the highlight of the hotel. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant. The walk into town is a little over 10 mins. The walk to the closest ski lift is less than 10 minutes away. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood which we found pleasant.
Nice comfy hotel
A nice hotel approx. 15mins walk into the centre. We did not eat in the hotel (breakfast 22 euros each). The kitchenette area is great for making your own stuff. The pool is a nice touch after a ski day, although it was full of Russians playing hand ball the time we were there. There is a nice lounge with a fire burning to relax in. Reception staff are friendly and helpful
Lovely hotel close to ski hire and lifts
Great hotel, clean rooms and very comfy beds. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast if a little pricey. Heated outdoor pool nice after a hard days skiing and great location, quiet, yet a short walk into town.
Lovely hotel, shame about shower and breakfast.
We just stayed one night and it was a lovely, small hotel. Our room was very quiet and there was a bice kitchinette which we didn't use. It was nicely decirated, although the matress felt a bit basic. The real let-down was the reduculoys shower. The bathroom was huge and really lovely, and we couldn't understand why there was a small single shower eith no door, so the floor got soaked. They could easily have fitted a triple, or even quadrupal, shower in the space, which would have a oided the mess. It was also a hand-held shower which you couldn't stand under. A real and unnecessary shame. Annoying if staying more than night i imagine. We were asked if we wanted to reserve the buffet breakfast which we did, but this was pointless as when we arrived we were told there were no tables so we had to wait as they were taken with non-reservers! They were apologetic but this was a let-down. It was also annoying having to keep asking the staff for spoons and plates as they kept running out. So at €22 each, breakfast was hugely overpriced. Apart from those niggles, it was a lovely hotel with friendly staff.
Overnight stay in Megeve
We booked for a one night stay and couldn't have been more delighted with the accommodation. It is just a short 10 minute walk into Megeve where there is a large choice of restaurants. Alternatively there is a kitchenette, with a microwave, hob, small dishwasher, kettle, cafetiere and range of crockery and cooking utensils if you prefer to eat in.
Great vaule for a pre ski season family weekend.
between summer season and ski season, this hotel provided a great base for exploring Megève. The hotel is a short walk from the 'Piscine/Patinoire' leisure complex - so great for energetic kids. The apartment was clean, modern, functional for families with very comfortable beds. Great Wifi 'password free' with no limits to the number of connectable devices. Outdoor heated pool is great bonus. Easy direct access from the underground parking to the apartments is another example of a well planned hotel construction. One small negative is the 15CHF charge per person for breakfast to be be delivered to the room, which is optional.
Modern Chalet Rooms with nice pool
Modern, clean chalet hotel rooms with nice pool. The outdoor hot tub is out of order and needs replacing - would be a great addition in the Winter time if this was working. A little bit out of town but not too far
for the elite
Some of the staff was not super helpful. the hotel has strict rules regarding parking and the swimming pool, which makes it exclusively for the rich and elite (if this is what your are after)
Fantastic place! Highly recommended!
Such a fantastic place. The staff gave us suite instead of standard room. Suite is pretty roomy, has two flat TVs, great bathroom, kitchen and dinning place. A lot of extras. Everything very clean. The city of Megeve is also really cool. We are very satisfied with the stay. Highly recommended!
Nice Hotel
Nice and clean hotel but very small rooms. Extra costs for tax and parking
Great hotel we eally enjoyed ourselves
we really had a great time . Staff very friendly and very helpful. Ski service on site was superb and ski pass arranged locally made everything easy.
Mother's Birthday
We stayed for the first time at this hotel and we will go there again for the next trip. We used to go to another residence hotel but we will now go to "Les Loges" as it was perfect. We booked the small room. We were very nicely welcomed. As we wanted a room with a view, we asked for another room. The change was fast and without any problem from the check-in staff. The room was nicely designed with wood and high ceiling. Bathroom is large, with great ceramic tiles, lot of smooth linens and VERY clean. There is an underground garage and an elevator. We didn't hear the neighbor. There are 4 or 5 new buildings with lot of wood. You feel that you are in the mountains. Hotel is walking distance to the center of Megeve. After a good night, we enjoyed a great breakfast even we arrived late: lot of things to eat. All the staff is very welcoming: at check-in, breakfast or cleaning crew. Thank you
Great for a short stay
A big plus is the heated outdoor pool. It would be even better if there was a sauna next to the pool (there is space!) Be aware that there are safety deposit boxes only in the bigger apartments.
Great for family or a couple looking for privacy
Quiet, well appointed apartment-like units with a lot of privacy. A short walk from ski rentals and the slopes. Heated pool for swimming outdoors in all weather. Staff doing everything they can to make the guests happy and comfortable. Also quiet and a family place. 500 meter walk from town. Hence the best of both worlds - near the lifts, quiet, but walk-able to town. Much better than than the hustle and bustle of being in town. Our second trip, and will repeat. Megeve itself is a fairy-tale village. And the skiing is idyllic.
Pleasant Apartment in good location
Good stay here for short 4 day break, pleasant apartment although snug! Friendly & helpful staff but was a bit upset they tried to charge 15 Euro per day car parking when info on website says free underground parking. They did honor it when I pointed out but lucky I had it on paperwork. Only other problem was Expedia advertised, 1 double room, 1 twin room & double sofa bed. Rooms all have 2 x doubles & 2 x single sofa beds but lounge very small for 2 x singles. Website has been changed now after call from hotel. Everywhere very clean & all in all, very enjoyable stay but beware, Megeve is very expensive, large beer in 1 restaurant (not a top one) was 9 Euros - ouch!
A disappointing stay
Very small room, would struggle to make any meal in the 'kitchen' as it was tiny and inadequate + you need to be over 6ft to reach the top 2 shelves in the cupboards. In all other apartments I have stayed in, a small welcome kitchen pack has been provided with a bit of washing up liquid, cloth, tea and coffee sachets but not here - we had to go out and buy full size basics just to have a coffee every morning. Hardly slept all week as the room was next to the front door and opposite the lift so constant door buzzing, banging snow off boots & the 'bing' of the lift at all hours of the night meant I managed perhaps 2 hours of solid sleep each night. No headboard, window directly above pillows resulting in a breeze on your head all night. There were no bedside tables. Reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful, although I found the prices of the drinks expensive. The waitresses on duty at breakfast did not restock the items on the buffet until asked. One paricularly slack morning I had to ask for bacon, an egg cup, hot water in the coffee machine and a cereal bowl. I also didn't realise that there was the option of having your eggs a different way until I saw another guest receive an omlette. I've stayed in 4 star MGM apartments in the past and decided to give this one a try - unfortunately it did not live up to it's 4 star claims which was disappointing.
Post Christmas ski-break in Megeve
Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Great location with easy walks to ski lift and town. Nice bar and swimming pool.
Clean but not always comfortable
My double bed turned out to be a sofabed and not the most comfortable in the world. The hotel complex itself is new and was very tidy which is quite important to me so I would go back if I got a better room!
not a four star experience. our studio was very small minimally equipped with a futon which extended from wall to wall with no side tables so that we had to climb into the bed. futon was not retractable and therefore no comfortable seating available apart from a patio bistro table with two uncomfortable metal chairs. the cupboard door could only be partially opened as it was blocked by the futon. both the shower and wash basin were blocked. i had to open the shower drain and remove a huge mass of hair from previous guests. a maintenance worker had to unclog the basin. the shower was a catastrophe. no curtain or shower door, only a shallow shower floor which overflows with minimal water use. had to beg for dish towel and dish washing liquid. the balcony was very spacious with good views.
Regular structure
Nothing special just a regular structure
A recommander +++
On reviendra
excellent
Beautiful built chalet. A great restaurant and breakfast area cozy comfortable bar Nice gentle people. Somewhat pricey for what it offers though at Christmas time.
Ontbijt was soms chaotisch en niet steeds de zelfde standaard.
Les Loges Blanches | Hotel in Megeve | Travala.com
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was great and helpful. Everything was clean, really good restaurant and they had skiing logistics well handled. it was easy to get myself and equipment from the hotel to the lifts
