We got the room on the 6th floor which was a bit dated but it did the job. Cleanliness could be improved as there was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor and blood on the door. Location was convenient to the train station.

Nice little hotel

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, it’s around 5mins walk. Receptions are super friendly and very helpful. Room was okay, little bit outdated but very clean. Would definitely do with a new carpet as it was stained. Beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect.

Great spot in Paris near the Gare du Nord. Very pleasant staff & clean room. Just a little tired in spots but it was more than acceptable for 2 nights with my daughter. Thank you Avalon hotel.

Feel the photos were a bit misleading, technically it is what the rooms look like but maybe 10 years ago. Quite a bit of paint is chipping, you can tell there have been many leaks as the ceiling and walls are quite stained. Staff was incredibly polite and is very convenient for the bus! The photo of the reception is not at all what the lobby looks like

Had to book this really short notice after another property let us down but staff were very helpful and accommodating. Secure luggage storage before and after your stay. Room was a little dated bit great value for money and only 300m from Gurd de Nord making travel around the city easy. Would stay again and rated the helpful staff highly.

An overnight stay in Paris at this hotel was a good idea but for the fact that the hotel has no air conditioning which made for me an uncomfortable night. The noise on the street was non stop until morning. Otherwise it was an ok and cheap stay with direct access to the train station. One night is just enough.

Very close to the train station and easy access to the airport. Great breakfast! Newly renovated rooms are comfortable and clean. Air conditioned rooms are excellent for Paris summers!

Positives - Literally a 4 minute walk to Gare du Nord with suitcases - excellent. Family room was great layout, with 3 separate areas for the beds Lovely old building Negatives - I emailed hotel a week before visit to check if breakfast included - no reply On arrival, advised not included. Advised cost was 12 euros per adult and 6 euros per child. Asked if I had to book in advance and told we could just decide in the morning. Next morning, different member of staff ( who was however there as we'd been given the previous advice) wanted to charge 12 Euros each and insisted there was no difference for children. Advised breakfast rate was lowest if we'd booked before we arrived, higher at check-in then higher again if booked on the morning. We left and had breakfast in a cafe a few doors away for 7 euros each in the sunshine. Hotel stairwells were being renovated and will be lovely when finished. No advance warning. Not great trying to get up down an old winding staircase with 2 kids and suitcases whilst a trestle in the way without touching newly painted walls ( yes, there was a lift, but not for the last bit which was being decorated). Disappointing.

The room was small as well as the bathroom but loved that the bus stop was just front of the lobby

First morning, no water! Had a leak. Fine, I understand. Needs to be fixed. It was decided to bring plumbers in between 1-4 AM to fix. A lot of drilling was going on, loud talking in hallway and lot of door slamming. Finally ended 4am. Got no sleep that night. Asked front desk about it and response was only time to bring plumbers in!! Got no apology from front desk, nothing! No fore warning that the work would be done at that time. Was not a good experience.

A quick getaway in Paris as amazingly it was cheaper than staying in the UK! I chose it as it was very close to Gare Du Nord. Nowhere in Paris is perfect as it somewhat depends on what someone is there to see. The two closest sites are Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur within half hour walk. The price is good when booked in advance. If the breakfast is included accept it but do not pay extra for it as there are many places to eat nearby which will work out cheaper. They offer bag storage. Staff are mainly very friendly with the only downside being 'some' breakfast staff who didn't seem very happy in their roles. We stayed in room 100. My advice to the hotel is to let other guests know the room is there. The noise we had to tolerate was unacceptable but my feeling is because guests had no idea there was a room on the ground floor and it is the only one. We were disturbed up to at least midnight. We had to ask for them to open a mobility friendly door to allow a mobility scooter in the building which they were happy to do but, not much use when trying to get in! Room was comfortable though despite the noise. It was also services after each night. Just one pillow each which we found was enough but I guess someone would need to ask if they wanted two. The picture of a waiting area with a sink is effectively right next to room 100 but the door cannot be seen hence why so much noise.

Convenient location near train station and all kinds of restaurants around facility to choose from.

The room is really super small. You can barely fit a large luggage in the room. There is a bathtub in the bathroom? Which i think the space can be better used for the room instead. There is also no fridge or any kettle in the room and barely any space to hang your clothes id you intend to.The soundproofing is very bad, you can literally hear everyone walking outside your room. The hotel was probably just refurbished? But honestly everything looks very old on the inside. Not to mention, the hot water is very unstable as well. However, the reception is pretty friendly.

It's basic, and great for a budget stay. I booked it because of how close it was to Gare du Nord. It's in a neighbourhood with plenty of activity. The only thing that was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING about the place was that you could not sleep in if you had a late night, there is no way to indicate "do not disturb". Housekeeping loudly knocked on my door, then yelled in French, and in my sleepy state I had to struggle to remember what French words I could use to say "come back later" or "no need". The lady kept trying to wake me up. I mean, I get it, maybe Parisians don't sleep later than 9, but it was definitely one of the most annoying things I've experienced in a hotel.

Staying in Paris for two nights.

The location is great. The room was small, but ok for one night. The room was on the first floor, and there were lights whole night on the outside of building wall next to the window, so whole room was lighted up whole night. The hotel staff tried to turn off but couldn’t. Second, you couldn’t keep the toilet seat cover up, because it was not properly installed. The street is vety noisy. With open windows, too noisy to sleep. No air conditioner, so needed to keep the window open. Otherwise great location.

Good value room

Clean, comfortable room. We stayed on the top floor, overlooking the back, rather than the main street. It was quiet, although the doors slamming can't be helped. No shower, just a bath, which you can't stand up in as it's in the eaves and only one hook in the entire place - that definitely needs sorting, but considering the value, I think I'd stay again as it's so close to Gare du Nord.

Everyone was friendly and made an effort to have a conversation!

Perfect for a first trip to Paris

We came here in May 2022 as a couple for our first trip to Paris. Professional staff, and the room looked exactly like the perfect, not too small and had everything we needed (no AC but it we didn't mind). Great location too, right next to many cafe's (perfect for breakfast) and 5 min by walk from the Gare du Nord (perfect for taking the RER or metro to get around/transport from the airport). Overall very nice stay!

The smell of the fragrance was strong In the room. And honestly speaking for that’s price I was expected better facilities and property.

スタッフは感じが良く対応が素晴らしかった 残念なのは洗面台が小さすぎて顔が洗えなかったこと。シャワーで洗わなければならなかった

Só fiquei uma noite no hotel, mas o quarto é amplo, confortável e limpo. Os funcionários da recepção foram muito simpáticos e prestativos. O café da manhã é muito bom, não tem enorme variedade, mas os itens oferecidos são frescos e saborosos. Se eu retornar a Paris quero ficar aqui novamente.

The sleeping part of the room was good. Comfy bed and spacious. The balcony was over a fairly quiet street and appreciated. The shower was very large. The sink was in the room, and the toilet was in a little triangular corner, put there as an afterthought. There must be a better way to use the space. Walls are very thin, I could hear my neighborss conversations. The elevator is microscopic. There is a second one but it leads only between floors, but not to the reception. Not indicated. The breakfast was sub standard, very few choices. The breakfast room towards the kitchen had no ventilation, we were choking already at 09:30am.

Prisvärt budgethotell. Utmärkt läge nära Gare du Nord och många cafeer o restauranger runt omkring. Oerhört varmt rum högst upp utan balkong eller AC. Helt ok frukost. Mycket trevlig personal!

Das Hotel liegt sehr praktisch (nahe an Metro und Bahnhof), das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber der Zustand im Hotel echt mittelmäßig

Prima locatie, verschrikkelijke bedden, te klein

Hotel heeft een goede centrale locatie. Voor een koppel zijn de bedden verschrikkelijk, het zijn twee kleine bedden naast elkaar geschoven die snachts constant uit elkaar gaan. De kamer is erg klein, we hadden 150 euro extra voor een balkon (4 nachten betaald), t had wat, maar beweegruimte was er niet. Het hotel is erg gehorig, je hoort je buren seks hebben, fijn voor hen, minder als je probeert te slapen. Bij aankomst, moest ik, ondanks dat het volledige bedrag vooraf betaald was en mijn credit card bekent is in het systeem van Hotels.com, een reservering op mijn kaart van 140 euro laten plaatsen, je zal maar geen credit card hebben. Overigens verbleven wij niet in het Lennon Hotel maar kregen we een kaartje voor het Avalon hotel. De lift van de lobby naar boven is erg ouderwets en traag, trek er de tijd voor uit om naar je kamer te gaan. De badkamer had opzich een goede douche maar leek wel uit de jaren 90 te stammen. Onze gootsteen bleef constant overlopen door verstopping, maar vanwege gebrek aan wil daar niet over geklaagd. Al met al een matig hotel met een prima locatie. De staf was OK, sommige erg aardig, andere de onaardigheid zelve.

Kamers zijn schoon, sommige aspecten iets gedateerd of niet praktisch, maar voor een kort verblijf ( 4 dagen) prima te doen.

Dicht bij Gare du Nord, wel een onrustige straat met ongure types. Prima ontbijtbuffet, schone kamer, prima bed. Badkamer is verouderd met schimmel op plafond.

Malheureusement je n’ai pas pris de photo j’ai été prise de court. Nous étions dans la chambre 114, déjà nous avons été passablement accueilli car la réceptionniste gérait une histoire de chips au téléphone. Des informations données brièvement. Arrive dans notre chambre, nous avons apprécié d’avoir un ventilateur mais par contre… de la moisissure sur le mur de la salle de bain, des serviettes avec d’énormes trous dedans … je ne reviendrais pas dans cet hôtel. De plus les petits déjeuners a 7h étant trop tard pour nous a cause de nos obligations, nous avons payé une prestation que nous n’avons pas pu bénéficier.
