It's a beautiful hotel and the service is exceptionally friendly. We would return to this property if lucky enough to return to Hanoi.

Fantastic hotel - staff are lovely

The hotel is a fantastic haven set amongst the bustle of Old Quarter. Quality hotel with lovely rooms and ambience, but above all else.... staff! They were all absolutely lovely and couldnt have been more warm, friendly and thoughtful during our stay.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the wonderful service during my short stay. Your staff were efficient, courteous, and incredibly welcoming—from the concierge and reception to the baristas and waitstaff. It’s not often you find a hotel where every team member is so well-trained and attentive. You truly went above and beyond, and it made my stay very enjoyable. Thank you for the amazing experience and we are looking forward to another pleasant stay on our return trip.

Vivian is the best

The GM Premium is perfectly situated in the Old Quarter for walking to Train street, Hoa Lo Prison, multiple museums and parks. The staff at GM was phenomenal. Vivian, our personal concierge, pointed out great places to visit and eat each day. We could not have enjoyed Hanoi this much without her.

Great location and even better service from the staff. One of them even talked me down to get a SIM card as she was working, then gave me directions to the best exchange in the area

Fantastic Spot

We had a fantastic stay at GM Premium. The staff were kind and attentive. Vivian was exceptional - she arranged several cars and tours for us making our short stay very memorable. Vivian even arranged for a special surprise for me on my birthday! The location was great. The value was perfect. The free breakfast had a lot of variety and was the perfect way to start our days.

An excellent hotel well located in the old quarter. The breakfast had some really good choices with something for everyone. The staff are the best and I would like to mention Alex and Vivian in particular for going out of their way to help us and make sure our stay was very good.

It's very nice hotel. It has good breakfast and located in old quarter which makes easily to walk around the area. The hotel serves are great, very friendly people. Good value for what you paid for. Highly recommended

Great place to stay

Hotel location is central and is well maintained. Bedrooms have comfy beds and good quality linen. Breakfast variety is good although the juices were too sweet for our taste. What makes this place stand out is as others have said the staff, who really go out of their way to make your stay special with a shout out in particular for Vivian who clearly makes it her mission to connect with guests and help make their stay great.

I had a wonderful stay at GM Premium Hotel. The location is ideal and I was able to walk to everything. The hotel is clean and the breakfast was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Peter, the concierge took good care of me. I would recommend this hotel!

Just stayed one night, since we'd been to Hanoi already. Vivienne's welcome was amazing, and a room upgrade was a total surprise – made our stay extra special! The room's gorgeous, comfiest bed and pillows I've found in Asia so far. Breakfast had a great selection, eggs cooked how you like, and a fancy coffee bar. The gym was fine for weight training. We skipped the spa as it was a bit too pricey, and a bit chilly for the pool. Some street noise, but quiet after 10 pm. I'd totally recommend it, even for someone picky like me. The staff and attention to detail are top-notch. A lovely watermelon scent in the lobby was so refreshing. 😍

We loved our 4 night stay here. Excellent location and very helpful staff. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. Our toddler loved the breakfast as much as we did. Beautiful views over the city from the rooftop. Staff were helpful in organising a private car with a baby seat to our next destination.

68 year old American standards review, The very best staff I have ever encountered at any hotel ! I am very critical of services and the hotel staff were all so friendly, helpful, professional, caring, etc. Unparalleled service excellence that really made our stay a wonderful memory. My wife and I said we would return to Hanoi just to stay at this hotel again because of the staff! I need to say no more other than I hope upper management reads this review and truly appreciates and recognizes their greatest asset, the staff! They make this hotel sucessful!

The staff and breakfast was good. I really like the location. It’s very close & convenient to everything. We stayed over Christmas and opted to have our Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel. The food was good but not worth the 1,390,000 vnd price tag. We were just exhausted after a long travel day and wanted a convenient option. If I were u, save ur money and get a bowl of pho or bun cha. Aside from that overpriced dinner, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very attentive and the property is kept in good condition

Great family stay in Hanoi

Highly recommend for family stay in Hanoi. Clean, comfortable, great breakfast and very friendly staff. We stayed in a connected family suite which provided excellent space and comfort.

I stayed here for three nights, and everything was excellent from start to finish. The location is perfect—within walking distance of all the must-see attractions. Breakfast was included with the room, and it was always fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Peter, who gave me some fantastic recommendations for restaurants and cafes, which truly enhanced my trip. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.!

Wonderful stay at a high-class hotel with a kind and gracious staff. We had some pretravel issues with one of our visa applicatioins and the hotel staff was very responsive and helpful in getting the problem solved. We really enjoyed the roof-top restaurant and bar at breakfast (which was delicious and diverse). The basement exercise room is quite functional. Above all, the staff is terrific.

So good, I booked for longer

I stayed for business and extended my stay further due to convenience and service. It’s a nice, authentic area with lots of quick but delicious food nearby and a comfortable lobby to have meetings and work in.

Amazing service and care by all the staff. Genuinely welcoming of everyone, providing suggestions of the best places to eat. The rooftop restaurant was also fabulous. Great food and a really nice place to relax after a long day of work. Great coffee in the morning.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were great. The beds were perfect. The location was wonderful for walking. Close to many sights and experiences you dont want to miss. But what makes this hotel truly extraordinary is the staff. The care, support and friendliness they offer is exemplary. The concierge Peter totally stood out for us- helping us through a mini (unrelated) crisis without hesitation. We could not recommend this hotel any higher. Hanoi is a cool city, but this hotel was the icing on the cake.

I loved my stay at this property! The welcome tea and Mung bean cake was super nice. They got my laundry done fast and efficiently. They also gave a coupon for a free bar at the rooftop bar. The breakfast was nice. Alex helped me during check-in and he was excellent. Vivian helped me during check-out and she was so sweet and helpful. I will be back next time I am in Hanoi!

Amazing stay. The hotel is exactly as shown, staff are beyond exceptional and kind. Highly recommend.

The staff, breakfast, room comfort and location was excellent. This was our first stop on our trip and Minnie and Vivian made sure we felt comfortable and welcome. Vivian even walked with us to an ATM till we found one that worked for us! They can make all kinds of recommendations and arrange rides and tours at a reasonable price. We have been all over Vietnam now and still miss the incredible breakfast and comfortable beds!

Excellent hotel in Hanoi city center.

GM Premium Hotel is perfectly located in the City Center and Old Quarter. Everywhere is within easy walking distance. Nearby streets are heavily located food, coffee, bars, spas and souvenir shops. The hotel itself is in excellent condition. Beautiful and elegant lobby. We’re served with welcome drink and cake. Room was spacious and clean. The most amazing thing is the roof top bar where we could see the view of the city. Breakfast offers a lot of choices and food were delicious. They have a small swimming pool at the roof; though small but with beautiful views. Finally the most impressive experience was the friendliness of staff. We checked out and came back after a two days trip to/from Ha Long Bay, they kindly allowed us to store our luggage’s for few hours before we headed for the train station. Excellent experience. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent property. Nice hotel with a good atmosphere. Room was nice as well. Received a free upgrade towards a city view. The rooftop bar is also nice, pool is small and has no seating options. Chairs are available at the rooftop bar with limited small beach chairs available. Breakfast and dinner are good, enough choices to choose from. Location is perfect. Short walking distance from the lake, market and church.

You should stay here

Absolutely cannot recommend this hotel enough. Not only is the hotel in an excellent spot with really nice rooms and accommodations but the staff is SO great. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the buffet is amazing, and the spa was really relaxing. We stayed in 3 different rooms throughout our time in Hanoi and they were all gorgeous. Peter was particularly helpful, he gave us a lot of recommendations and quickly answered all our questions. This place was better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in after it. They helped us get into our grab by flagging down the driver and getting our luggage in the trunk (which was great bc it was our first time getting a grab in Vietnam and we weren’t positive how it worked), the next hotel didn’t have nearly as much help. Oh also the rooms were so quiet!! Didn’t even have to use my white noise app to sleep.

Fabulous Boutique Hotel

The joy of this hotel starts as you enter the Lobby with the fabulous welcome of the staff. That welcome doesn't reduce as you stay there. Lily and. Vivian are charming delightful young ladies who could not do enough to help us. The rooms are very comfortable and of a very high standard. Breakfast was as good as it gets and the latte was true barista quality. The pool, although not large was a nice spot to cool off. The hotel is very well located and they can help with tours. They also sent us to a good street to change currency at a very good rate. This is a true 5 star boutique hotel

The hotel is well located and the staff are fantastic. Lyly took great care of us. Breakfast was extensive and the coffee was as good as it can get! Highly recommend staying there.

Absolutely fabulous place in a great location

Great place to stay with wonderful staff

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Hanoi taking side trips to Sapa and Halong bay so ended up checking into and out lf the GM Premium 3 times. It is in an excellent location and the rooms are very comfortable with the hotel having a rooftop bar, pool and restaurant for the buffet breakfast. There is also a small gym in the basement but with little equipment. The staff were incredible with nothing being too much trouble. On arrival Alex and Vivian looked after us extremely well and checked if there were any issues they could help with via WhatsApp. They could book tours and saw us safely into taxis and across the road if needed (if you haven't been to Vietnam that last comment won't make any sense!). We were genuinely sad to leave.

We had a wonderful stay at GM Premium which has a great location in the Old Quarter. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. For example, they helped us with transfers and luggage storage for an extra day after checkout so we could take a 2-day Halong Bay cruise. The staff even invited us to use their facilities (spa shower and pool) after we returned! We also recommend the rooftop restaurant for dinner which was delicious and so enjoyable after a long day of touring.

We travelled to Hanoi from Luang Prabang, Laos and moved from 32 degrees sunshine to 25 degrees rain! Fortunately, the hotel had arranged a pickup for us and when we arrived we got a welcome drink and the receptionists shared their WhatsApp numbers. This set the tone for the amazing service we received for the rest of our stay. The room(s) were spacious and comfortable and the breakfast had a good selection of western and Vietnamese food. There is a little rooftop pool and Skybar which were both nice to relax in. We took trips to Sapa and Halong and decided to book additional nights at the GM Premium in between and on the final night before flying to Phu Quoc. By the end all of the reception staff knew who we were and could not have been more hospitable. Great hotel in an excellent location (a few minutes from the Water Puppet theatre, Old Quarter and Train Street in the opposite direction), cannot recommend highly enough and as others have said, the staff make the hotel.

A gem in the old quarter convenient for exploring Hanoi. We loved the sky bar (which also does lovely food) and pool on top two floors. Lovely staff in particular a big thank you to Vivian who was so helpful making our stay fun and Peter on travel desk.

Great stay

Very attentive staff. Great option in old Hanoi

This is the hidden gem of the old Quarter , this is my second stay there in two years, and it never fails to exceed my expectations of how friendly and courteous and efficient. The staff there can be you will never meet any friendlier people in the hotel business. The breakfast buffet is to die for they try to be as close to family as they can be.

An excellent hotel. The check in staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Although at time of check in, the reception area was very busy, and it took a little more time than I would have liked to check in. Overall the hotel was great.

Could not fault the staff at the hotel who were excellent throughout our stay, especially Minnie. Booked the hotel due to it having a pool and gym in such close proximity to the old quarter. However, the pool was still under construction and out of use for the foreseeable future and the gym was extremely basic with one of the two treadmills not working. Added to this, there wwre building works going on to fix the pool from 07.00 until 22.30 in the evening right above our room which in all led to a less than relaxing stay in Hanoi straight after landing. Room, staff, breakfast and location to the old quarter and nearby hotspots were superb.

Wonderful hotel in old quarter

Wonderful stays at GM Premium. Pretty new and luxurious decor. Bright sunny room with huge terrace, I got free upgrade which was nice. Clean comfy bedding. Skybar was awesome, delicious dishes with nice ambience. Friendly staffs. Centrally located at old quarter. Everything is within walking distance. This my go to hotel in Hanoi

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the GM Premium in Hanoi’s old quarter. The staff, especially Ms. Nguyen, took great care of us. The hotel arranged an excellent street food tour for us through the old quarter. The rooftop restaurant and bar was great place to relax after day out walking. The old quarter is a pleasant chaos of coffee shops, street food, scooters, shops and restaurants … a great mishmash of historical sites & street living … looking forward to returning

We loved our stay at the GM Premium Hotel. The hotel room was spotless and the service was fantastic. Every member of the staff went the extra distance to make us feel pampered and nothing was too much trouble. The service was friendly and personal, a great stay in the Old Quarter area which is very lively. We went to the Puppet Theatre nearby which was fun and loved strolling by the lake. Cocktails by the pool topped off a great couple of days in Hanoi.

This place was a gem!

Amazing

On this trip, I stayed at GM Premium for two nights on two separate occasions while traveling to Ninh Binh and Ha Long and back. Both stays were very pleasant with particularly exceptional customer service from Vivian. She provided excellent restaurant and cafe recommendations that I enjoyed. The facilities were nice, clean and updated as well. I very much enjoyed staying and would recommend this hotel for the quality customer service.

My family and I stayed at the GM Premium Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, for 2 nights and then another night on our return to Hanoi. We stayed in many very nice hotels for 16 days, however, our favorite in terms of the staff and service was the GM Premium in Hanoi. Vivian, who works at the front desk, did an outstanding job in helping us out with a glitch we had with our transportation to Sapa. She spent so much time and effort. We really appreciate her and the hotel has an excellent staff member in Vivian. The hotel is on a very busy street and in Vietnam the pedestrian does not have the right of way at intersections or in crosswalks. Whenever we got out of the cab the staff would come out on the street and form a line with their bodies to shield us from the oncoming cars. The staff at the front desk had excellent English skills, were very helpful in every possible way and they were dressed & groomed impeccably. The hotel is very well decorated and has a lot of character. They provided a full breakfast with a wide variety of choices. They have a sister hotel about four block away and the hotel provides a food voucher for one free dish per room. The roof top swimming pool has a view of the city and is very refreshing because it is so hot & humid in Vietnam.

Perfect spot in Ha Noi

This place was amazing. The staff went above and beyond. I came in late and they made sure to get me fed and settled. The breakfast in the morning was also amazing. They do made to order food as well as a buffet and made to order coffee drinks. Loved the place.

GM Premium Hotel was great

It was in the heart of the old quarter. Tye staff were very accomodating and pleasant. Everything was within walking distance and the staff ofdered advice and options. The restarants at the hotel were wondefull as well.

Mr. Tim was extremely hospitable and helpful. Great breakfast. Quiet, comfy rooms.

The staff here are amazing, and the location is perfect. Cocktail prices are on the high side, but are of a much higher quality than other places we'd been to - the view from the pool and bar/restaurant is incredible.

Didn't want to leave

Found the GM Premium Hotel the perfect place to finish off our family holiday (saved the best for last) . Great service and walking distance to all the major attractions . The breakfast filled us up for the day and cooling off in the roof top pool before dinner made life very pleasant. All ready planning our next trip. I have been around the world and stayed at many hotels in Asia, Europe, the US and Latin America. However, the service in this hotel was above my expectations. The staff was so polite, friendly, and professional that I am already planning to go back. The breakfast was superb and so was the food and drinks at the restaurant. My room was comfortable, clean and the decoration was wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Trust me. Your experience will be DIVINE as well!

Fabulous central location right in the heart of the old quarter. the hotel foyer looks like a 5 star hotel! The staff were simply amazing. Special thanks to Gem at reception and Mr Cuong who answered all our questions and nothing was ever too much trouble. The rooms were of an average 4 star hotel. Great pool, gym and floor top bar/ restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great 4 star hotel.

Five star experience

We stayed there for three nights. Check in was one of the best we’ve ever had from the second we got there. We arrived after a 14 hour flight, so quite tired. But the staff made the check in process so easy and stress free. We had a cup of tea while everything was taken care of for us. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and had everything you could wish for. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect to explore the Old Quarter, water puppet show, museums, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. Vivian, Tim, and Mai were very nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet were excellent with a variety of options. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room had a good size considering being in the old quarter. We felt welcomed by the staff from the moment we walked in the hotel. Highly recommended!

Loved this hotel and location!

This was a freshly renovated hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter close to all the attractions we wanted to see. Very safe to walk in the area day and night. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and staff were accommodating if you needed something. Staff gave us all kinds of directions and tips and even put us in touch with a free walking tour done by a university student trying to learn English ( free, though we definitely gave her a tip at the end). It made the area much more interesting for us and hopefully helped her too. The staff were what made it a 5-star experience! Would certainly stay there again.

The staff were the highlight - so polite and helpful!! Big thanks to Eugene and Vivian in particular for their recommendations and wonderful customer service. Breakfast on the rooftop every morning was a delight, and you can’t beat the location, which was in the thick of Old Quarter near lots of food and shopping and the lake, but very quiet at night for sleeping even during the lunar new year celebrations.
