We loved the high ceilings of the room and the design. The beds were not too comfy for our taste and the little shower heads from our room didn’t work, but the main shower head worked so we were able to take a decent shower. The staff was very kind and they told us about many different spots to try around the area.
One night stay in Florence
This was more of an apartment arrangement versus an actual hotel. You had to get into the building with a code we didn’t have (thankfully someone let us in) and access the registration desk on the mezzanine level. The room they reserved for us was on the fourth floor without elevator access. Thankfully there was another room available on the mezzanine level. It was very spacious and clean. The location is great for walking around the Duomo.
Wont be back again. The property staff was not very helpful. Theres plenty of places around the area. The location is great but just the overall service and cleanliness is not acceptable
Great location and super helpful/knowledgable staff. Room was small but clean, bathroom in good condition with a great shower. Location is unbeatable for the price!
Excellent location
Excellent location very close to everthing.
The best location Quiet, convenient Nice size rooms
Excellent location in the overcrowded by tourists center of Florence. Very nice arrangement for breakfast in the nearby restaurant.
Good location & amazing staff.
The entrance was a bit diaspponting, dirty stairs but then everything was excellent. A bit noisy because the hotel is in Main Street, very near The Duomo. Everything is nearby even the railway station!
Great location, clean rooms, but noisy if facing the Main Street.
Good city
A reasonably priced hotel a 2 min walk from the Duomo. Also walkable to food optins, the Academia Gallerie, Train Station, Medici Chapels, Santa Croce, Uffizi Gallerie, Ponte Vecchio, Bibili Gardens and Pitti Palace.. Recommed a taxi to Palazzio Michelangelo and walk to Bobili. The hotel is old, but they are adding paint and the covenience trumps all minor issues.
Hotel has a great location but not easy to find, elevator to small and too noisy at night.
Great location but noisy at night
It is great location! Easy to walk everywhere. Air conditioning is amazing and cools it down very quickly. It is a bit noisy at night with the street cleaners, rubbish trucks and early hour restaurant shipment. Overall it was great
Conociendo Florencia 😍
Great location! Close to everything
Our visit was great! Unfortunately a fuse tripped on our floor and the emergency number they gave us/the number on the website did not work. We had no power all night, which means no air conditioning either so it was an uncomfortable night with the heat. As long as you don’t have any emergencies after 9pm it’s a great place. Everything else was great!
Place was clean and nice overall. Walking distance to all major attractions, 2min walk to the main cathedral, 10min walk to the main train station. The breakfast option that the hotel offers was the best from our stay in Italy
The rooms are not as advertised and someone came in our room without knocking in the morning. There is also no American tv, beds are terrible and uncomfortable. I guess you get what you pay for. The location is decent and within walking distance to everything. That’s the only upside.
Great place to stay
A great place to stay when visiting Florence! We had a family room (1 double bed, 1 double sofa bed). Happy to report the room/s were spacious, tastefully decorated, clean, nice crisp bed linen and well equipped. Tea/coffee/fridge/bathroom bits and bobs included! The breakfast isn’t in the same building but in a restaurant about a 3 min walk away. Nice place though and a pretty decent buffet breakfast with good coffee so not a problem for us. Our room was facing the rear of the building so very quiet.
The staff was excellent and extremely helpful!!! The property itself is not what was expected or as depicted in the pictures! Our first room wasn't anything like any of the pictures on Expedia at all. We are a family of 4 and there was not even a chair to sit in, so we had to sit on the floor. We were able to change rooms and it was more appealing and comfortable. The staff was great in helping us through this process. Breakfast was not great and not worth the additional cost . You can find good food nearby at the same cost . I do feel the Expedia rating is deceiving. Location is good and walkable but not worth the discomfort of the quality of the stay .
Great Location.
Great location!
Fantastic location! The room was comfortable and clean, and it was right near the duomo. The area was safe and there were lots of food options nearby. A great spot
The location was very good. We reached there after checking hours, the instructions for checking was very easy and clear
Location good for site seeing, very close to the cathedral, but the downside is its noisy late into the early hours especially when the refuse lorries empty the bins at 2am. Also great if you like chuch bells at 7am.
Could not be more central, safe, clean, aircon !!!
Nice location, but terrible room and bath. Hard to locate room, pillows rock hard, bathroom shower had hair ball, and the floors weren't very clean. Small bath for 3 and no place for your items. Did not respect do not disturb. Wanted to collect hotel tax before check out and was aggresive to collect, thus ignoring do not disturb and leaving notes on the door. Drab building. Do not recommend.
A perfect spot to walk around and hit the big attractions in Florence.
Nice confortable stay
Excellent location, friendly staff and spacious room
The location was excellent. The first room the gave us was not good at all. They changed us to another room which was nice.
Good value. Great bathroom. Helpful staff
Very close to train station, 5 minutes walk. Also close to a grocery store. If you are visiting cinque terre, it is a great place to stay the night.
Great location able to walk everywhere! Very safe even late @ night . Easy check in/out and very clean
Excellent hotel . We were very happy to be there, the service was great and the Staff friendly and helpful
Excellent place , nice attention
Perfect location! Everything we had on our list to see was walkable distance. The Duomo is so close and the bells tolling are beautiful.
Our stay was lovely. We were on there one night. The rooms are big but the aircon was way too small for the size of the room and the shower head needed replacing. The location is perfect. Very central. Bed comfy and everything clean and easy to use. Parking offsite was good also.
Great location hard to actually find as pictures were not of the same building. First floor was under renovation not that it was actually part of the hotel which was one floor up elevator not very good worked but not for me. Our room was small . Bathroom was nice, shower great. Noisy at night but not their fault. Location was perfect to Duomo
So close to center
Fantastico
Spectacular location near Duomo. Less than 10 minute walk to all major Florence attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. Strong WiFi. If you’re looking for a lot of space, this is not a good choice. If you’re like us and need only a good bed and hot shower, stay here.
Loved the location! It was so close to everything! Walkable and safe. The room was nice and clean. Overlooking the street. Many options to eat. The duomo was around the corner. It was perfect! Walking distance to main museums and shopping.
Very close to the duomo and location is excellent Staff was very attentive and welcome us I appreciated my stay over there Thank you very much
Excellent location
This property was expensive for what you get. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The entrance had a foul smell and was run down. The noise from outside was difficult and the only window opened on a smelly courtyard- so we couldn’t escape the smell no matter what. I would not recommend this hotel and since we had no choice because it was refundable, we stayed.
This is our second stay. This time we had a great big and clean room. The beds were very comfortable. This room was quiet. But the Hall door did not work at all, what made us feel unsafe (since this is a bed and breakfast with partial reception service. The reception is closed at night and there are no night guards).
The room was big and clean. The beds were very comfortable. But the room was nosy and the hall safe door did not work properly. The building needs maintenance.
Great location right next to the duomo. Overall had a good time!
Great location
Great location in the centre of Florence. Room Lisboa was big, clean and comfy, had everything needed for a short stay. The noise from the street was really loud during the night when the street cleaners/rubbish removal were working. Margarite was very helpful, gave us a map and was very kind, other staff quite abrupt.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is because in the lobby area there is a bad sewage smell. The rest is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly.
Great location
The location was good and the property was clean
The room was spacious and the building had an elevator. The staff was helpful and courteous. The only thing complaint we had was that we had to buy a wine opener in order to enjoy a bottle in the room. We would still highly recommend this property.
Our room was roomy and very comfortable. Within steps of Duomo. Breakfast was delicious. Close to great restaurants. Will definitely stay here again for our next visit.
Very near the attractions. Not comparable to U.S. hotels
Very walkable
Property is within walking distance of all major attractions, right next to Duomo. One word of caution, there is no service available from midnight to 8:00 am even for emergencies. So for instance one gets locked out during these hours, there is no assistance available.
Tons of accommodations and points of interests within walking distance from this property. Highly recommend Le Stanze del Duomo if you ever happen to stay in Florence. Rooms are well kept and spacious. Highly recommend.
You are on your own. Receptionist is too busy to help. The pictures online are where? The stairs are dangerous especially the angled bottom step. The doors and locks are confusing. A major cut below good accommodations.
big room, great location
Good value for location. If you want to be in a central location, this is it. Access to train station was about 15 minute walk at the most. Hotel staff was very helpful.
Property was very convenient, the only complaint we would have is the noise at night. Garbage cans across the walkway were emptied a couple times a night and was very noisy.
This was just an ok place for the price. It was over priced and not that great. The real thing your paying for is the location. It’s in a great place for walking to everything and that’s it.
Great location but no aircon. A challenging stay
Good points, comfortable bed, great location and friendly staff. Not so good points, our room was nothing like any of the photographs. It was much smaller. The safe was locked when we arrived and the air conditioning didn’t work for the 4 nights we were there. We reported the aircon on day 1 and each subsequent day but it was’nt fixed. Incredibly hot, no sleep and lots of outside noise made for a very difficult stay.
Great location! Place is clean and safe.
If this is your first time in Italy, you should definitely book this place! It was close to everything and staff was super kind to us!
Best part- It was very close to everything Worst part - it didn’t feel clean at all, floor was dirty and felt like stranded apartment with old cups and pots inside the drawers that was an old kitchen counter and stained chairs. Good thing we stayed out most of the time
Lack of good communication and unfriendly staff, bad internet
The Expedia and B&B website showed a different frontage to B&B The breakfast was off site and unlike website Would not have booked this place if the truth was known
Can’t beat the location! But lots of stairs snd older building so be prepared if you have luggage. Room was spacious and right out side of the door is beautiful views of the church and city center.
Very nice breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent location!
The location of the hotel was incredible, you could see the Duomo from the street and it was a 10 minute walk to all the major sites. The property itself was nice although the bathroom was a little more run down/moldy. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed when we arrived and mostly just performed check in and check out.
We arrived and checked in immediately. We messed up our reservation on our part with the length we eere staying at this location. They fixed us right up. The extra day we needed to stay here was reasonable and we were handled very professionally. They gave us extra help towards arranging a taxi for our departure and have agreed to try and help with our Rome reservation.
Location, location, location! Firenze is a walkable city and this hotel made getting to and from activities and food very convenient. Our only complaint was that we asked (prior to check-in) NOT to get the basement room because it has stairs and we have some with bad hips and knees. The staff ignored our request and put us in the basement room. My guess is that it is a room for Expedia reservations. Other than the stairs the room was great and the air conditioning was sufficient for cooling.
My wife and I found everything about this Hotel/B&B to be absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the service, the room and the location, we also enjoyed the street entertainment in the evening. Thank You very much Claudio & Lina Capobianco
The property is old, dirty and smell very bad.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The accommodations were clean and cool for this hot weather, and the location convenience was perfect
The best
It's very close to the Duomo, museums and restaurants. The room was decent, bathroom very nice, and we appreciated the daily maid service and coffee set-up. The bed and pillows were incredibly hard, and we like a firm mattress. The worst was the noise all night long- first the drunk crowd on the street outside, then the bars and restaurants dumping large loads of glass bottles in bins outside, and then the trash collectors and street sweeping machine starting up at 5AM.
Great location and well maintained
Very central
Very clean and so close to the duomo. Staff was also wonderful. Would highly recommend
If you book the family room, confirm you are in the one that is in the pictures online. We were in a dungeon- you literally open the door to two flights of stairs into a dark hole. No art on the walls and window looks out to a dark alley. It was quiet and staff was nice but it was not as advertised. Not appropriate for young children as the steps were steep and immediate after opening the door. Location was good and some lights and art would go a long way.
The building is very old, but the unit itself was updated. Location can't be beat. Literally steps to the Duomo. The pull out bed was uncomfortable and noisy. It even had a small dried blood stain in a corner, which was gross. Overall, it was ok.
This hotel is ok. If it weren’t for being so close to the Duomo it would have minimal to offer. It’s hard to find as the directions take you to a completely different hotel. Our room seemed unfinished. The sign on the door was written on paper while others had nice plaques. When you open the door there is an immediate drop off to a steep set of stairs down to the room. Very dangerous at night and especially if you’ve been drinking. You have to put the key card in for light so there’s no light to guide you when you open the door. The stairs were concrete and unfinished. As we walked past other rooms they looked much nicer with bright colors and better views. The safe did not work and there’s no do not disturb sign so housekeeping just comes in whenever they want and there’s nowhere to put valuables. The hairdryer is a hose that comes out of the wall with hot air and no force. It will take you an hour to dry your hair if you’re lucky so if you are on a time constraint make sure to wake up extra early. Lastly, we were unable to get in on the first night due to plane and train difficulties and times. The hotel still charged us full price for that first night even though we did not stay. I understand they may not have been able to take the first night off but offered nothing to us maybe complimentary breakfast that is only $8?? And they were quite cold about the situation if I’m being honest. I would not stay here again.
Disappointing Stay
The room was nothing like the image advertised. When we checked in our room had a powerful nasty smell. The manager asked the cleaning staff to clean the bathroom again (although it was clean) alot of deodorizing spray was used and the strong odour never left the room for the entire 3 day stay. Nothing more was done. The wifi kept dropping out, not ideal if you need to work and the lift broke down. Although that was repaired in half a day. Location was good.
Great location walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see. Room clean, people nice and helpful
Worse stay. Dirty rooms and dirty bathrooms. Bathroom had a urine odor. Staff doesn't care and steals your money. Bed sheets are dirty, mold on the roof and mosquitoes everywhere. Booked with expedia and they also don't care about your experience. We had to depart same day and lost our money and this ruined our experience. Staff doesn't care Even though it is their fault to have dirty rooms and sell them overpriced. Have some decency and clean your rooms and bathrooms and stop stealing people’s money. Don't waste your money or time in this HORRIBLE place. Worse experience.
Everything were good, except it was very noisy at night time
Comfortable apartment but the TV did not work and we would prefer to have a coffee maker not instant coffee. we did not know there was a second sink in the cabinet. More information would be helpful. The office staff was available on property
The reception was easy and very friendly. The pillows were so thin it was very uncomfortable to sleep.
This place is great, close to everything. You can walk anywhere you want. 2 mins walking to the church and 5 mins to the museum where David is. A lots of places to have something to eat or even a pharmacy right next door. The room we spacious and comfortable. Couldn’t have a better place. Thank you
Great location!
Location was great. Rooms do not look like on the pictures, maybe they were like this many years ago. Place needs a update and refresh,There was some mold in the bathroom
Perfect location! Wonderful staffs. Sofa bed is not comfy. But it is sofa bed😊. Breakfast is good, but off site. Highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely come back again.
Pipes made sounds at night. It was loud. Perfect location. Secure. Bed was fine
Our stay was really pleasant, the staff was really friendly, the room was clean and had a really good location just beside the duomo. Overall, great!
Spacious room in the heart of Florence. Very friendly and helpful stuff.

Loved the property. It was right in the centre of everything, we had a huge room but to access it we did have to go down a lot of stairs, luckily we had backpacks. But I. Saying that the room or I should say rooms were great and unique
