Excellent stay!

The details of the hotel are very misleading. There is a spa on location, which is not unusual, but to say that there are spa services for additional costs, then to continue that guests have access to a recreational hot tub, is certainly misleading. There is also very limited parking and staff are quite unwelcoming.

Very friendly staff and the restaurant was first rate. Great food and service. Parking though, was a bit of a pain.

Property was absolutely amazing hotel, restaurant and spa combination is great. The only complaint is lack of parking, especially during the winter months but other than that excellent stay.

A great place to stay

Le Noranda Hotel and Spa is a great place to stay while visiting the area. The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is wonderful. While we do our best to speak French when addressing staff at the hotel, they cheerfully do their best to speak to us in English. Rouyn Noranda is a friendly, vibrant and walkable city. We always enjoy shopping in the quality stores that we encounter throughout the city.

the hotel staff and dinning room staff were so nice and welcoming..... we arrived a bit early and weren't turned away which was great as we had been driving quite awhile and were tired.... this hotel provides you with real glassware from wine glasses to drinking glasses.. that is such a nice change from those awful disposable glasses... we would stay there again for sure!!

Hotel was fine, enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, a leather jacket was left in the room and when we called it was not found-we know it was left there.

My room was clean and renovated.

The hotel description said that a hot tub was available. When I arrived, however, I was notified that there was no hot tub, only at the spa.

Very clean and welcoming . The only feedback I would give is the front lobby had a weird smell, sulphuric. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with the spa that is below but it wasn’t a nice smell to walk into .

Awsome time in rouyn.

We went for a wedding on a weekend. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is very beautiful. The price was very adequate for what we got And the restaurant within the hotel is absolutely delicious . Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were very professional. The restaurant and waitress and rest of staff served a great meal that was very welled cooked. The only negative was that the spa was under repair and we couldn’t take advantage of the facility and we arrived to late for the massages. I would and already recommended this hotel to others. My wife and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary and we were treated well.

Great hotel, just no hot tub

Hotel was great. Heated floors in the bathroom. But the site said there was a hot tub. When i asked the front desk where the hot tub was, they said they had a spa where you can pay for services. That was my only disappointment. Especially because i was really looking forward to the hot tub.

We loved this Hotel!!! The staffs were wonderful. The restaurant was terrific and we had a great meal there. The rooms are older but well maintained and charming. Our bed was comfortable. If we ever pass through Rouyn-Noranda, we will stay here.

Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Both my son and I have allergies to animals and the room had animals in it before our stay. The hotel did not have another room to accommodate, so we as the guests had to suffer.

Heated floors in bathroom were awesome. Good and service at restaurant was outstanding.

Not a single problem, friendly reception, comfortable clean rooms and the restaurant is exceptional, memorable for its food, menu is really good. Will be booking again next time in Rouyn.

The location in my opinion is perfect. Just a block from a beautiful paved trail around the lake. The trail also cuts through a wonderful park next to the hospital. I’d recommend booking the spa services prior to arrival since they were pretty booked while I was there. There is a wonderful ice cream place across the street, an incredible restaurant inside the hotel, and a few local eateries within 3 blocks of the hotel. Big fan of the shower & heated bathroom floors. Very enjoyable stay.

Nice hotel and staff were very good. 2 Double bed room we had was small but clean. Heater was right in front of bed and would cycle on blowing cold air over bed. That was the only real negative but made for a disrupted sleep.

Loved our stay, only fresh with outside door, floor was cool. Service great Spa amazing services!

The interior was very nicely decorated. The bed was very comfy. The coffee pot didn't work, that was a little disappointing.

The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from downtown, and has a restaurant on site. We tried to get into the restaurant on our first night but weren't successful (full). We did reserve for breakfast and were a bit disappointed with the lack of flexibility in making decaf coffee available to us (a Keurig option is available in the room). They also were inflexible when it came to subbing whole wheat toast for english muffin for the poached egg. They did offer decaf tea, but the water was tepid at best. We didn't wind up eating another meal in Le Cellier. We were in a room close to the elevator, and the elevator was very noisy - keep that in mind when you're booking. The front desk was not able to move us to a quieter room...

I don’t know if I’d be in a rush to go back. Our hotel felt like a motel.

Great staff at the front desk. Super clean and comfortable. Can easily walk to the downtown area and two blocks from arena. Would definitely book again.

Belles chambres, pour eteindre la lumiere du mirroir, il y a un piton sur le cadre. On m'a donne une carte, helas il y avait quelqu'un dans la chambre. Je suis partie quelques heures, et la situation s'est corrigee. On m'a mis au fond du couloir, avec vue sur le systeme de refrigeration de l'hotel. L'homme a la reception a sympathise et m'a offert une consommation au bar! Tres gentil! Je n'est pas mange au bar, mais les autres clients disaient que le souper etait delicieux! Je vais donner une autre chance, c'etait peut etre une de ces journees!

Centrally located in the heart of Old Noranda. Excellent restaurant and spa services located on site. Small on-site fitness room with modern equipment. Bicycles can be borrowed at no extra charge and without a reservation.

Work trip to Rouyn

In Rouyn for work. The hotel was great with a great restaurant attached to the hotel. This was very beneficial with -30 degree tamps outside. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again on my next trip.

High end & comfortable. It was nice to have real wine glasses, coffee mugs. The restaurant was fantastic. I'll be back to take advantage of the spa.

Liked the heated bathroom floors and the location

Free exterior parking. Narrow hallways with low ceilings. Nice enough room, but we had 2 double beds, and that is a bit narrow and short for a couple. Almost did not sleep. The rooms are not sound-proof at all; we could hear the clients in the room above quite late in the night. The bathroom is nice - heated floors. Nice selection of personal products.

Paid full price for the room...and no parking (under construction) There was 2 weddings and had to park 2 blocks away. asked for a discount and they said sorry...come back next week.

The room and hotel itself was so clean, the staff was great and the room was beautiful and comfortable.

I did not understand why they would put me in a room that had caution tape on the door to the outside on the first floor which is undergoing construction when there were many other rooms available. When I raised this they politely and quickly changed my room. I assume it was an oversight so it didn’t affect the overall rating.

Staff was excellent. Accommodated us with an early check in. Restaurant was amazing. Only negative comment is their electrical set up. Not enough outlets so the fridge and heater were plugged in with ungrounded extension cords.

Paid a bit more to get a lot more

We ordered a King suite, which was marginally more expensive than a King room, but materially larger. Definitely they way go, especially if you are travelling with a group of people or you expect to host other people in your room. Since we were travelling on a weekend there were almost no other guests in the hotel so the services were not running with regular business hours, but when they were operating, they were fabulous. The restaurant was especially good, but so was the front desk and housekeeping staff. This is a great place to stay if you are in the Noranda area.

Hotel was great. Great location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Weather was -40C during my stay and the hotel even supplied me with a cable to plug in my car so it would start the next morning. Rented a suite for the night. Ate at the hotel restaurant which was surprisingly very good.

The beds are comfy

The bed was extremely comfortable but the heat in the room didn't work. We went to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast. It was over priced and bland. Service was bad.

I have been to thus hotel twice, and each time everything was effortless. After a long business day, you need a hotel that has everything covered. This is that place. The wine bar in the lobby.helps as well...

Best hotel in Rouyn

Comfortable beds, exceptional rooms, great location, very friendly staff, and the food at Le Cellier Restaurant is amazing. The only place I stay at when we are in Rouyn Noranda.

The hotel was nice, staff very helpful,

Arrived at hotel, Expedia had not confirmed my reservation with hotel even though I had a confirmation number, I was not in the hotel system. This was at 11:30 p.m after an 8 hour drive. The hotel was sold out and there were no other hotels or rooms available. I explained to the front desk person that I had a confirmation number and the room was prepaid so how were they going to fix the problem. He stated that there were three no shows and that chances were that one or more of them might not show up considering the late hour, so he took a decision to give me one of the rooms and said that if he got in heck for it he would do so. I wish I had gotten his name because he was super patient and I was extremely grateful for what he had done. He made me pay for the room again with my credit card as he was not able to confirm the reservation and payment to Expedia, I didn't argue as by then I was frustrated and teed off that such an error could occur and that I would have to pay for the room twice but I was just grateful to have a room. I am truly disappointed in Expedia for this situation but I am grateful there are still kind hearted souls who will help you out in a pinch like the front desk person did for me that night.

Nice hotel with easy access to most points of inte

Hôtel Gouverneur Le Noranda is well situated for easy access to downtown, shopping center, museum and biking or walking trail. We enjoyed all of it and the staff was courteous.

The bed was too soft to my taste with a whole in the middle. The kids bed they brought in the room for my 3 years old was falling appart

Friendly staff, good location.

First two rooms we were given were beside the rooftop hvac system. Very loud and lots of vibration. Third room faced the street and it was perfect. Restaurant for breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Always had a good parking spot and just minutes drive to the centre of Rouyn. Would stay there again.
