Great hotel. Loved the breakfast and the staff was wonderful.
Friendly staff. Nice room
Extremely Noisy
The hotel was beautiful and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately the noise is nothing like I've ever experienced. Even though it's newly built, there's absolutely zero sound proofing and you hear ever footstep and car on the street as well as kids in the hall. Nor to mention upstairs neighbors (or is it ghosts? No idea, lol) If you are a heavy sleeper, its perfect for you. Lite sleepers might want to skip it.
Super comfy bed, good location, great bathrooms. Perfect for a business stay.
Great hotel in a great location. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable.
I will stay here every time I come to Ro.e!!
It’s like a 15 minutes walk to Spanish step . 10 minutes walk to piazza del polpolo 😀
A great location, very good staff, and nice rooms. We upgraded for a room with a terrace, but were very disappointed with our view and never used it during our entire stay.
The property was beautiful. The atmoaphere was breath taking
Consider shuttling to the center
This hotel is amazing. From the moment you walk in the door you are blown away with the design and decor. You know right away you are at a grand 5 star hotel. You are treated like an important VIP. The price is a little higher but worth every penny. The staff are awesome and treat you like your needs is there number one priority. Just blocks away from shopping and many restaurants and cozy little cafes. If I could rate higher than 5 star, I would give this hotel a 10 star rating. Spend the extra money and you will not be disappointed. I will never stay anywhere else. Sherry from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA
Everything was great including the employees. I didn't like that check-in never explained how the elevators and room lighting worked.
Nice area and quiet.
Overall great hotel in a great location
Very nice, clean property!
Hotel room is nice and clean , Breakfast is good,
No room service. Lobby restuarant closes early. Only barfood available.
Great property and very clean
MARRIOT MÉRIDIEN VISCONTI ROME
The hotel is in a good area, but the rooms are very small, especially the bathroom. The air conditioning heating make a lot of noises. We had to turn it off. There is no view to speak of and there are noises coming from the street at night. The staff, however, is very friendly and good, so no problem there.
Good hotel
I highly recommend this hotel! It’s location, updated condition, breakfast, extremely helpful and friendly staff made our 10 day stay in Rome truly memorable! We’ll be back!
Great hotel in great area
This hotel is great! It is located in the centric Pratti area with many dinning options around it. Hotel staff is very friendly and there is even complementary water, juice, soda and a machine for hot tea and coffe in the room. About 20 mins walk to Vatican, 15 mins walk to Trevi Fountain and 35 mins to the Coliseum.
Staff/concierge were very helpful in making our afternoon to early morning stay action packed and made some great recommendations on what we needed to see.
Great location and great price.
the hotel is very nice. staff is friendly. the room is spacious and modern. (has several electrical outlets that are universal!! so nice) the only downside is that the area surrounding the area is a little quiet and with limited dining options but it is only about 18 minutes walk to the Pantheon and the Trevi fountain :)
Nice hotel but front desk service poor
Located on opp side of river to main sites but is walkable distance away. Check in is 2, I arrived at 1 & asked if possible to check in a bit earlier.I was told as it was a holiday I couldn't as it busy but that I actually wouldnt be able to check in until 2.30. I bought a drink while I waited, returned at 2.30 & had to wait a further 5mins while room was checked to see if ready. Breakfast wasn't included in my rate but I was able to purchase it at check in for €13 per morning, I had breakfast plans elsewhere for my 1st morning so I was glad I was able to purchase for just the remaining 2 mornings. Breakfast selection & staff were excellent. Room on 5th floor, it was as per website photos, compact but comfortable. The bathroom had decent toiletries & plenty of towels. All was perfectly clean but there was a slight stagnant water odour coming from the drains. The shower was small & the doors didn't seal properly which led to leaks. The shower had 2 shower heads, a rainhead & a very low wall mounted head. My big complaint was that there was construction going on on the floor above me & roof terrace was also closed. The day after I arrived, I was out at 06.30 but returned around lunch to rest & clean up. The construction noise was VERY LOUD. On my 2nd morning this noise started at 0730! No way could you sleep. I complained at reception, was told it would be brought to the att of the manager but there was no follow up at all. Nice hotel but I felt no customer care at front desk
Beds not comfortable.
Great location for visiting most of the popular attractions in Rome - most within 2 miles walking. Hotel just off the main road so no traffic noise. Extremely polite, helpful and friendly Reception Staff including other staff members. Clean and comfortable rooms. Wifi a tad on the slow side but not a major issue
top
The hotel location is perfect. Very clean and nice . Hotel staff are very professional and nice.
Absolutely lovely place and walking distance from Vatican City and many attractions.
The staff is very nice, polite and helpful when you need help. The room is very nice, clean, confortable and quite.
Very good location service and clean.
Good hotel, comfortable, good location. They tried to charge me for internet in room while it was supposed to be free. No control on air vent in room at this time in the season , so we had to open window . Very very noisy and horrible sewer smell at times. Nice rooms, nice staff, nice location , but I’ve had better hotel in same neighbourhood for better price. Overall would recommend at lower price .
Review
Room given was not even clean another offered was cramped then another offered. Internet working not explained at reception. Staff not up to standard of hotel
Excellent front desk staff, very helpful. For Americans traveling to Rome, this hotel seemed geared to US citizens. Staff spoke English and was able to answer all our questions. Location for visiting Vatican is excellent.
Location, staff, cleanness and vibe were excellent. Some of the amenities were not in place when we arrived. Price rather on the high side.
It was a nice property. The bathroom is tight. The toilet is directly next to the shower door. Terrible room design.
Great location and friendly, helpful staff at the front desk.
Over all .. very good hotel ..clean and well maintained .. breakfast could be better ..enjoyed the stay
We flew from New York on an overnight flight and arived at the hotel at about 8 AM. We knew check in was not until 2 PM, but we thougth we might be able to pay extra and get a room early. The lady at the front desk said a room was available and that we could check in . . . without additional charge! The room was fantastic. The location was great and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
Save your money.
The staff at the hotel was very nice. That's as good as it gets. The driver service they hired was not pleasant AT ALL. The bathroom had black mold...and the beds were rock hard. Could have stayed in a hostel and gotten the same thing.
The hotel is well kept. Staff are professional. I love the rooftop bar and lounge with a glass of Moscato d'Asti.
I don't know who is in fault ORBITZ or MARRIOT for the description of the room I selected: Executive room with City View. The description is deceived because under Marriot and Hilton room decsription it implies tha a guest hotel has access to an Exwcutive Lounge and a view of the City, River, other popular view. This hotel. DIDN'T have an Executive Lounge or previlages equaling amenities and the view from the window was another building. You need to CORRECT tge descrption of this type of room to indicate deluxe, MAYBE because it was a small room, with a window. Very DISSAPOINTED on your description of the room I paid for.
Love the location. Easy to walk to many attractions
Only complaint would be the pillows are too soft.
Service in this hotel really bad, not even 3stars hotel. Staff with no smiling face.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Great restaurants and close beautiful views.
The cleaning services were awful and we got given a room that was already taken. Imagine our surprise seeing two strangers in a room that was supposed to be ours...
Great location near the Vatican. Second visit to this hotel in 2 years and not disappointed, hotel is kept in tip top condition.
Restaurant within the hotel was very good! Beyond our expectations.
Breakfast was lacking for big city prices. Very modern and clean. Staff super helpful. Room was a bit noisy could hear everything from floor above. Great location to walk around the city. Overall it was a very good experience!
This hotel is excellent. It’s in a great area, very clean, modern facility. Just wish we had more control of the temperature in the room. Would stay here again.
Wonderful Hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. The property was very well maintained and clean. Great food and musical entertainment in the lounge area. I would 100% stay here again!!
Property was centrally located. Walking distance to events.
1 .hotel is very good for business travellers. 2. Staffs are very helpful
Brilliant location. Excellent room and service. Will be coming back.
You can easily hear noises outside your room from other rooms or if someone walking in the corridors , letterally you cannot sleep during the day...
Good location with access to local restaurants and bars.
3rd time's a charm
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. There was a bit of a hiccup in the beginning when I requested a room with 2 twin size beds yet they gave me a room with a king. I then went back to the front desk to let them know and then they gave me another room. Upon getting to the 2nd room, again they it was a king size bed not 2 twins. The gentleman that assisted with our bags called down to the front desk to clear up the situation and 3rd time was the charm -- we got a room with twin beds. Would have been nice if they comped us for breakfast with all of the walking around to get to a room with twin beds. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Beds were comfy and rooms were very clean. Hotel bar was great and I loved all the snacks you got when ordering a drink. Restaurants were nearby which was nice and convenient after a long day of site-seeing.
Great hotel just west of the Tiber
It is gratifying to find a hotel that has created a warm, hospitable environment while providing rooms of high standard and furnishings. The staff is efficient, competent, and friendly, eager to respond to any request for information or dining recommendations. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Rooms were quiet; wifi worked perfectly. I would stay here again.
Great location with all the sites we wanted to see, within walking distance. Staff very helpfull and friendly. Perfect location for Vatican City especially, as it was 15 minute walk and we could take in other sites along the way
Great hospitality and enjoyed the stay. The food was excellent.
Middle if the city, excellent breakfast. Super nice rooms!
Location was excellent. Room was very very small. Could never stay more than a night or two.
Great centric hotel
Great hotel with spacious room conveniently located near everything in Rome but far from the crowds. Will recommend it to anyone. Rooms are clean and convenient. Price is fair.
Overall, it's pretty good. Walls are quite thin though, could do with better sound insulation.
The bed is good, the breakfast is good. Only these two points live up to my expectation to a SPG hotel or the Le Méridien. The SIZE of the room is conveniently left out, so you have no idea how big, or in fact how small the room is, and you may be misled by the name of "Deluxe Room", it's too small to be a deluxe room, or the smallest "deluxe" room I have ever stayed, oh right, there is one thing actually fits the deluxe side, which is the price I paid, very expensive, for the same price at the same time, I got a big suite with a bed room and a living room and a kitchen, with great location in city center and walking distance to many famous tourist attractions. And the staff at the reception are not always there. When I tried to pick up my luggage and head for the airport, there is only one staff at the reception, and obvioulsy he is focused on the customer he was talking with then, so I have to wait while the other two posts at your reception is empty, nobody is here to help me. Somebody was moving the tables/chairs and making a lot of noise, maybe it's another guest, the hotel room is not very sound proof , you can hear the traffic and other guests talking in the hallway.
Going to Rome. No doubt, stay here
Excellent in every possible way and excellent cost/benefit ratio THE hotel to stat in Rome
Great location
Good location, excellent service
Very nice stay, hotel staff very helpful and friendly ! Hotel nicely decorated and maintained.
Love this hotel! Excellent location and service! The rooms are clean and spacious!
The hotel is modern and beautiful, and the staff are there to take care of their guests no matter what kind of problems you might have in a foreign country. Cannot say enough good things about the staff at Le Meridien !
Great hotel for the price
The hotel rooms have been recently remodeled and the design is mid-century modern (which I like). The bathroom and room were spacious and nicely done. The food was good and even picky eaters found something to their liking on the menu. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This was just an excellent stay. Nothing could be better. Recently renovated, perfectly clean, friendly staff, reasonable price. Above expectations.
The only problem I had with this hotel is that I had booked a room with a King size bed but I was given a room with 2 twin beds. I showed them my reservation and they insisted my reservation was wrong.
Had to make it work, but when it did it was great.
It was about on my second day there that I realized my decision to stay across the river at this hotel was quite a genius move. It wasn't too far from many of the tourist attractions, and yet it was far enough away from the tourists. Taxis had no issue finding the place for pick up or drop off. There was plenty of shopping and great eateries nearby (a coffee spot across the street and an ice cream shop the other direction) and the hotel had a fantastic rooftop to hang out in. There was even a post office conveniently one block away. So, the location was great. The front desk staff was very cordial and prompt but if you had to call to request anything, you could be waiting for ages, or forever, to get something as miniscule extra towels. This annoyed my husband to no end. We would have much rather heard a "no" than be kept waiting. They were also a bit strange about room service, which they offer. We found that ordering from the restaurant and having it sent up to the room was more effective and speedy. They also found this weird but for some reason it made things go faster and when you're hungry, hey, why not try what works despite getting some strange looks, right? Overall, I really liked staying at this hotel and I even swore off staying at any Le Meridien after a terrible stay at one in New Orleans! So kudos to you, Le Meridien Visconti in Rome. We found ways to make it work, your rooms were clean and comfortable and that is what matters.
Great neighborhood to stay in. The grounds of the property were absolutely stunning. The area offered many places to eat, drink, and shop in. The room was very nice but could use a bit of updating. We were a family of three and stayed for a total of four nights. Each morning there is a very nice breakfast served that will keep you full until lunch. Overall I would recommend friends and family to stay for a visit to Paris.
This hotel is possibly the nicest I have ever stayed at. The room is gorgeous, the bed comfortable, the hotel itself and the staff are great. The neighborhood of the hotel is really nice (and safe) to walk around. I was able to get to many places by walking or a short cab ride. If this hotel had a pool, it would be paradise.
Great location. Away from center but walking distance to most attractions. Nice roof top bar.
Stefano and all front desk staff were most helpful and pleasant! Thank you for your kindness !
Beautiful hotel
Lovely experience, beautiful hotel, great service! Only issue we had was some of the other guests with memberships who were very arrogant and rude to other guests and staff, making it uncomfortable at times. But can not fault the hotel staff or how they dealt with it. Fab stay
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The interior decore was a clean and modern style. The room was comfortable and was a home away from home during our stay. Also, the breakfast was delicious.
Quiet luxury close to major attractions
Hotel is on a quiet street away from the tourist crowds, but just a short walk to major attractions. Very comfortable, staff quite helpful. Room is somewhat small. Bed is two singles, not king.
Great location, welcoming staff, roof top bar was a really nice place to end the day and relax
Perfect location near Vatican and historical sites. Comfortable beds. Modern and clean with rooftop bar. Small shower was my only complaint.
Clean rooms, good air conditioning, nice breakfast and can walk to Vatican and other points of interest
Very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. I love the bar and patio, and the breakfast for 10 euros was well worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a bottle of proscecco in my room. Would definitely stay there again.
Great hotel awesome location!!!
Hotel was in a good location, staff were very helpful room was very comfortable, was annoying as roof terrace was shut and was not informed this at time of booking
Good room Good location
Room is modern and nicely decorated. But I felt the room is a bit dusty both on the floor and on the shelf. Hotel is in a good condition and in good location “away from the crowd”. Breakfast is the weakest point of this hotel.
Good hotel close to Vatican
Rooms were modern, not overly large. Nice bar area. Reasonably close to Vatican and west side of Rome
Very Nice Hotel
This is my second stay at the Meridien Visconti and it continues to please. It is an affordable 4-star hotel within a half-mile walk from Vatican City and other major sites in the city. The staff, for the most part, speaks English, and I found them to be very friendly and attendant to their guests needs. The breakfast bar offers a variety of American and European breakfast dishes and the evening bar has a hometown feel to it where guests mingle in the evenings. The only drawback I can see is for American guests who are used to more spacious rooms, which is not untypical of European hotels. However, the rooms are comfortable, clean, and well maintained. This is an excellent hotel for the price.
Our check in was supposed to be at 2 PM but was delayed until 5 PM
Comfortable room with friendly staff. My wife and I stayed for 5 days. Got about six hours of sleep at night and enjoyed the beauty of Italy the rest of the time.
A delightful place to enjoy, however no cool air
Le Meridien Visconti Rome was a delightful place. Truly wonderful service, friendly staff, and extremely close to the city center. Plenty of landmarks to see and restaurants to enjoy. Our only complaint was how unbelievably hot it was in the room. There was no alternative, which was an extreme bummer, especially because I am an SPG member. Overall, 4/5 stars for all that was there to explore. The rooms were delicious as well.
I will return to Visconti anytime !
Been in this hotel , 15 years ago , came back , it’s even better now . Thanks Visconti !
Great location
Nice hotel in a great location. 15 minutes walk to the Vatican.
