Excellent place . Staff is friendly and attentive

Disappointing Experience - Would Not Recommend I had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. The air conditioning could only be controlled by us, which was inconvenient. The room was not clean, and the service was extremely poor. We had to ask for everything, which made the experience frustrating. The worst part was the dental kit provided—it appeared to have been used by someone else as it was wet, which was utterly disgusting and unacceptable. This reflects a serious lack of hygiene and attention to guest comfort. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a disappointing experience overall, and I expected much better standards.

It was fine. Surprisingly, housekeeping didnt clean the room or make up the bed in the morning. They didn’t clear old dishes either (from the morning). Restaurant service was slow but food quality and quantity was good.

A great hotel to stay when you visit Coimbatore, for business or for pleasure, has the best restaurants around, comfortable and clean room, pool, gym, spa and other facilities. Spacious well designed lobby suitable for business meetings. Great helpful and friendly staff all the way from the gate onwards.

Been staying at this hotel for a number of years and it has gradually deteriorated.. nothing works plug sockets with loose wiring kept tripping electric .. no refreshment in mini fridge had to ask 3 time for it to be filled .. room was not clean .. laundry request to be hung came back folded .. breakfast service poor .. 1 toaster and wasn’t working .. pool out of order … spa air con broken .. very poor standard only positive is location to work will not be visiting again

Very nice staff !

The main issue was my reservation. I had to be on telephone for 2 hours to resolve the issue. The Hotel never received the reservation message from hotels.com I have paid hotels.com yet, this was not recorded. I paid again. Please refund.

the gym is a joke its very very old , the hotel doesnt start operating until 7.00am so if u want to workout early morning you cant, breakfast is again by 7.00 if you ask the breakfast guys to give you a bottle of water they say it will be chargeable , location is only thing going for this hotel and the staff is good

Friendly staff. Clean rooms excellent room service. Great spa. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Quite and comfortable beds large room tastefully decorated. Will come back again

Marriott is losing its customer centricity, it seems to be a global phenomenon. It has become a common observation. I have had better experiences with other hotel chains atleast in this year.

The stay was lovely except that my room did not have hot water. Because I was staying for 1 night only, I didn’t have time to request this to be fixed.

The property advertises amenties such as jacuzzi which was not working, the pool is unsafe needs to be retiled and adding antislip mats

Very flexible and friendly staff

Overall a pretty nice hotel. WiFi was absolutely terrible, wouldn't stay connected long enough to send an email.

The room allotted was not locking and had called twice to the reception for it to be checked. finally was given another room which was a smoking room

Excellent place to stay

In general, the best hotel in the area. Especially staffs are very kind. Foods are good. Facilities in the hotel are very clean. It can be a bit costy but it is worth paying it.

The property was not well Maintained. The charges are like a 5star but property is like a local hotel. Water in the bath was muddy, despite calling a few times problem was not resolved until next day. Breakfast was very poor, idlis were like stone, cold and sour - way below par for Coimbatore !

Staff and safety

They are severely understaffed, particularly at the front desk. It takes 3 or 4 reminders to get things done that is only if they pick your call. Food is ok, amenities and goodies provided are good. Room was spacious, but there were lots of dust which was not cleaned. Rest of the staffs like the security guys and buffet hall people were very good and eager to help. Special mention about one Mr. Shankar from main entrance security Team went out of his way to make sure that we know the city well and how to go around the city.

While staff were very nice, especially the restaurant and cleaning staff, they were not very helpful. Things like calling a taxi and such they would not help you with. Rooms were not very clean. Like many hotels, rooms are only superficially clean. Would be nice if hotels actually deep cleaned the rooms between guests. There is a guy at the pool that "cleans" the pool all day long. Except he is not really doing anything. All day, every day he is using the mesh to swish the water around, but not really doing anything. 1) the pool should be cleaned early morning or late night when guests are not there. To have him clean all day and the pool tools laying around the pool is not a good guest experience. 2) the hotel should be training this employee better. He is standing out in the hot sun for 5-7 hours a day doing nothing except pretending to clean the pool. Why not help him clean the pool quickly once per day early in the morning and then focus on other tasks such as removing all the trash that is in the bushes by the pool. Hotel is very noisy. All day and night you can hear the elevators go up and down from your hotel room. You can also hear your neighbors. Hotel allows smoking and does not separate smoking rooms from non-smoking rooms. Even if you are in non-smoking rooms, you can smell smoke all day long. It is 2022 - le meridien should not allow smoking at all inside the building or by the pool area.

The furniture need to be upgraded. The breakfast range is awesome. The dinner buffet was a well thought out layout. Overall it was a good experience

Trainee

The guy at the reception insisted I had not paid for the room. I showed him I had been debited by my card, but he still insisted. Finally, when he gave the the key card, I realised he had the wrong name on the record. I think he was a trainee

Pathetic and Worst Hotel.

The worst property of Le Meridien i have ever seen, i stayed at Vivanta in coimbatore before and due to some bad experience i have decided to go for Le Meridien but this is not even worth to pay 1000 Rs. Room sizes are nice but it took 2 hrs to cool the room. Tik tik sound until 3am in the morning. I could not sleep until 3:00am due to this noise. i dont know why this property has 9.3 rating on Hotels.com.

It’s a smoking friendly hotel, clean &understaffed

When I checked in with my son 13 year old and mother 75 year old, front desk gave us two smoking rooms. And the room when we entered itself was smelling with cigaretteZ then on request they changed. No smoking is not a policy in this hotel. Even lifts are provided with ash trays🙄. Heavily understaffed if you ask for something today you may get it after your check out and if you are really lucky next day.

Nice staff and good location when you arrived at airport

Le Meridien does not offer 5 star hotel series. I visited your Spa. They told me I have to makan appointment as customers who are not guest of the hotel have already booked spa treatment session. I was shocked. Why no first preference for hotel guests. Also the spa therapists I am told will only arrive at 11.00 a.m. Shouldn't the service times be observed. You only have 2 therapists. This is below the service standard for a 5 star hotel. I hardly notice many lady customer service staff. More lady staff should be hired. No point in having a hotel pool side premises cleaning lady attired in sparkling scree when it only makes it cumbersome for her to carry out the job. All in all, fa little common sense in programming and planning and service deliveries is applied by the Board the problem will be solved. This is not the first time I stayed at Le Meerdien. I am afraid my current experience is worst from the last visit. I am not minded to return. Please upgrade your service standards. Appoint a neutral inspector/assesser to point out your drawbacks and please hire a foreign international assessor for the same and not some one who resides in Coimbatore. It won't work. Also the quality of the English of the all the staff can be nurtured. Send them for training in British Council classes. You will see the different. Tamil is good for temples and temple worship it is not yet a widely used language although it is a beautiful language and full of rich colour style and tradition.

location of property is good. Staff is totally UNTRAINED, particularly all staff at buffe at ground floor. Why the hotel emplyed totally untrained staff, it looks like you are staying at a 2 star hotel. totally untrained staff.

Hotel is getting a little dated .. beds are comfortable linen is clean but housekeeping is very hit and miss . Breakfast and buffet is limited .

Awesome place to spend quality time with family

Awesome place to spend time with family. Awesome luxury rooms, very good breakfast, swimming pool and other facilities. Swimming pool is big, but not even 4 feet .. probably only 3 1/2 feet or so, it could be a little deep for more enjoyment even for my 11 year son. But overall, very nice place if you want to spend time with family and just enjoy.

This hotel has a spacious lobby and the sitting area. Breakfast is very good and is in a nice restaurant. We had a business dinner in a private dinning room. The chef came over to suggest gourmet dishes and also cooked delicious food. The staff was very courteous. Rooms need renovation. Over all it was a satisfactory experience.

Staff are so accommodating. A very surprising Hotel, with superb service. Excellent value for money.

Best Hotel

I have visited to Coimbatore, India from Canada and I did some R&D before my trip for all the hotels around this area. My family stayed around 15 days in this hotel during Oct/Nov 2018. I have stayed more than 50 hotels around the world includes Canada, USA and Europe, but this is the best hotel I have ever stayed. Very Good 5/5: 1. Breakfast team/Chef/In room Dining – Appreciated breakfast service and more than 30 different varieties there for all mornings. One of the best team I have seen and fantastic chef /manager and team. 2. Reception/In room service/Hospitality – Very clean, always nice people at the reception and superb in-room service. 3. Swimming pool – Very big blue water, means very clean water swimming pool. 4. Spa – Ultra clean Very large spa with large rooms. 5. Cab service Need improvement: 1. Wi-Fi - It is good, but not sufficient for IT people. They need to use the access points (Or other recent trends) instead of Router/Splitter. 2. Need to bring no alcohol policy in the lobby lounge and sometimes hotel guests/family couldn’t able to spend around there OR require separate entrance for liquor sales of hotel non-guests.

Hotel facility very nice Front desk very cooperative Didn’t enjoy dining at the hotel restaurant aa staff not that caring and lack in responsiveness Do choose to cross verify the tax implications I had to pay 58% vat on top of Gst which was 12% si in total 70% tax on imported beer n whisky whereas the tax on local cheaper brand was mere 14% Outside hotel even at Bombay airport at an expensive bar n restaurant the tax paid was only 12% Really strange

Horrible experience

the layout of the hotel does not lend easily to a comfortable stay. I was on the 7th floor and could hear all the noise from the lobby and restaurants. Other reviews of this hotel were right! the massage was terrible in the spa.

Fantastic experience overall with my stay at this place. Great restaurants and the choices for breakfast was just amazing.

Service service service! Beautiful hotel but the staff makes is exceptional check in restaurant housekeeping everyone was so very helpful and attentive . One caution alcohol has a very large tax added so ask in advance what total price will be!

Fantastic.

Another great stay at Le Meridien. The staff are awesome - so friendly and welcoming with nothing too much of a problem. Facilities are great, restaurants provide good food, pools great to cool off in but as always its the staff that make the stay memorable.

Good hotel close to airport and city. Loved this place. Great food and great facility.

Nice but a bit desolate

Hotel looks right at first, but then you realize that it is just too massive for this town. Therfore, areas like the massive pool and the front fountaain are not maintained. It is a long walk to the gym. Breakfast is great and service is abundant and gracious. room is very large, but side views are bad. location is far from town, but in India, that is often a blessing. Driver is available for $25 for 4 hours.

Disappointing stay

Was somewhat disappointing. Hotel initially denied me breakfast when I checked in despite this being part of package provided in Hotels.com booking. Was adamant. Later changed with no explanation or apology given. Rowdy party outside my door on first night and could not sleep. Had to call reception to quieten them down. Room steward repeatedly banged on my door to force me out of my room at check out time. Room service food appealing including a "plastic burger". Staff need proper training. Highlight was the great buffets at lunch and breakfast.
