Nice location for exploring Paris and very helpful & friendly staff. One small gripe was that our shower (room 18) was defective and a little awkward to use. Otherwise we had a great weekend.

Slightly underwhelming

It's nice enough, but not really a 4* hotel. Ground floor is very nicely decorated but the bar is a call-button service, with no atmosphere. The rooms are a bit stark with little warmth or colour. The AC struggled to keep higher floors very warm (it was cold, but you'd expect a hotel to be able to cope with that).

Nice but not so great.

The hotel is nice and clean . Breakfast is fantastic. We got a room in the six floor as we asked but not in the back and had lots of noise coming from the bar downstairs. The bathroom was good but amazingly no HOOKS OR A SPACE FOR YOUR BATH ITEMS . Annoying!!!! It was 27-30 degrees so We asked for water bottles in the room and they charged us 7.50 € Each !!!!

Unacceptable check in practices, but pleasant stay

The hotel requires that every guest allows to SCAN their passport/ID and credit card - not only enter the information into their system but actually retain the IMAGE of the documents. When inquired about the procedures to safeguard personal data and destroy the information after the guest's stay, the front desk staff could not answer with certainty. I found it very unnerving. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant and the staff helpful.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Really lovely hotel in a great location. Very easy to get around the city on foot and by public transport We stayed in a suite as there was 4 of us which was very comfortable and had everything we needed including dressing gowns and slippers. Loved the terrace. Breakfast was very good and included bacon and eggs, mushrooms and beans along with meats and cheese, fruits, cereals and breads. The Turkish bath and steam room were complimentary and bookable in 45 minute time slots, also very good. All staff members we encountered were really friendly and courteous at all times. We would happily return.

Long Weekend in Paris

I throughly enjoyed my stay at Le Mathurin Hotel and Spa. The stall we welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The property is luxurious, clean and comfortable, one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Paris. It’s excellent and highly recommend. Samantha, at front of house reception is very efficient and knowledgeable and speaks English very well. All the hotel stay are very friendly, polite and respectful. The hotel location is also excellent. I will most definitely plan to stay there again.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel was absolutely lovely and very well appointed. I love the way the windows open up to Rue Le Matherin. I felt like the hotel and room were quintessentially Parian. I would absolutely go back and would recommend the hotel to families as the spa has a lovely Turkish bath which the hotel allowed my children to use a small pool. It was really a lovely hotel and we hope to be back again soon! Merci Le Mathurin!

Chic Parisian Hotel

This chic hotel is located at the center of tourist spots, around 20 mins walk to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower or Champs-elysees. The room was a bit small like other paris room but tastefully decorated. The staffs were friendly and let us checked-in early at 9:00 a.m, which we were grateful because we just spent 13 hours on the plane and wanted to refresh before exploring paris. The surrounding have many shops and restaurant so you can find your own place to eat breakfast if you don't want to pay 22 euros per person for hotel breakfast. The reason I rank this hotel as 4 star is because beside the hotel is a pub and it gets noisy until late midnight which annoyed us a bit as we have to wake up early. It's not something that the hotel can control though. All being said, I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel. Oh, it is also near the metro so it's easy to move around.

Gorgeous, velvety, exquisite, blissful

This is a FANTASTIC hotel! I love the breakfast — which always includes Greek/Middle Eastern foods like tabbouleh...the hamam and whirlpool downstairs are WONDERFUL...and the place has 3 salons, all velvety and peaceful and beautiful!!! Whoever did the decor has a wonderful eye for exquisite textiles and bright photography. Plus, the location—near the Opera and Place Vendome—is PERFECT!!!

It was close to everything that I was interested in seeing. Honestly did not spend alot of time at the hotel. I did not order room service or use any of the amenities. My room was very clean upon arrival and the staff cleaned the room very well every day.

Rooms disappointing, great SPA

I have booked the hotel based on great photos, on the app: rooms were bright, airy, spacious and modern. To my surprise first room we were offered was tiny, dark with very tired bathroom with cracked tiles, next room was bit bigger as it was a room for disabled people. So big disappointment! Additionally NO KETTLE IN THE ROOM.... seriously? In a 4star hotel? On a positive note: breakfast was very nice served in lovely space. AND the MASSEUSE was amazing!!! Strongly recommend!!!

Not quite what I thought I’d paid for.

This hotel was very nice. It just lacked a little of what I expected. We a standard room, but I expected tea and coffee facilities but there were none. For two nights we were given one bottle of water. The empty bottle of which the cleaners chose to leave on the floor outside our room for the remainder of our stay with no replacement. We were on the first floor above the archway do deliveries to the surrounding area and hotel were very noisy in the early morning. Otherwise it was a pleasant hotel

Cute hotel, great support staff, but bad reception

Overall a good hotel for the price. Good location, nice decor, the disappointment was the welcoming of the front desk person - he seemed annoyed when we arrived to check in around 9pm. We had booked the family room (2 connecting rooms) He gave us 4 key cards, only one worked... I went back to the reception to let him know and to get new ones, and he literally said it wasn't possible since he had programmed them for all 3 doors. He didnt believe me -why would a guest lie about this? He added that I shouldnt have put the cards next to my cell phone as he saw I had my cell in my hands. He reluctantly gave me new key cards, which only one worked, but at this point we decided we'd make it work with these 2. Besides the front desk people, the rest of the staff from the kitchen, room service, cleaning ladies were all absolutely amazing, super friendly, funny and helpful.

Nice stay in a good hotel centrally located

The rooms were as usual clean and quiet. The bed squeezed a lot so we did not sleep very well. My husband hated the fact that the toilet seat was separated from the shower area because the toilet seat area was so small and made him claustrophobic. All in all it was a good stay since location of this hotel is just perfect.

The staff are outstanding. The location is good. The hotel is quiet. The room was beautiful but it was a bit too tight for 2 people with two suitcases.

I had a terrific stay at Le Mathurin. The hotel staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The bartender made the best drink for me and my friend. Would definitely stay there again.

I am not coming back

The hotel didn’t manage our expectations. What was good: location, service. Not good: restaurant recommendations, you are paying for your omelettes and you are not aware , they give you an impression in their marketing that you have access to a rooftop such as terrace and patio; only a few have. A number of guests were very disappointed.

We absolutely adored our stay here. The staff was very kind. We actually took a small trip to Barcelona between stays. They allowed us to keep our large bags at the hotel, then already had the bags in our new room when we returned. I was so please with our experience. Very close to one of the Main Metros as well.

Not a 4 star

Very tight 4 stars, which should actually be a 3-3.5 stars. Service was not efficient and cold and needs some condition fixes (mainly in the toilet). The biggest disappointment was that the toiletries provided were not even up to 3 star standard. Who in modern days still tolerate a 2in1 shampoo and body wash? ...and there is not hair conditioner, neither. Want to go out visiting Paris with freezy hair? this is your.choice!

Awful hotel, CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE

Would not recommend anyone who is English travelling here. They had a real predujice with me and my friend when we arrived. All staff gave attitude apart from the barman. The rooms are so tiny and we had paid for a suit. The spa is also tiny and we found other guests doing very inappropriate stuff in there. The food was vile and dry, which was frustrating after paying so much for a salad. Plus everywhere around the hotel was extremely expensive too. I'd honestly recommend going someone else. As the staff really ruin the trip. Plus there breakfast doesn't cater for gluten or lactose free people.

Nice location very quite but the room is very small. I like it because of the location The most important is the edge of the bed is so small that your foot will be out of the bed when you sleep.

Modern luxury

A modern, luxury and elegant hotel. Beautiful decor. Love the books in the room, even some in the toilet! Location is quiet but close to train station and 2 department stores. Hotel staff were helpful and recommended great restaurants. Definitely will stay there again.

Booked this hotel as it looked great in the photos, when we arrived we weren't disappointed. The hotel was modern, chic and clean. Weeks before our arrival date we rang the hotel to book in for a couples massage, however we were told that they only have one table. No problem - we'll book 2 separate massages - they only had one spot left each day, a little disappointing, however not really anyones fault if they were booked up. We were told we could use the spa. When we enquired about the spa at reception they gave us certain times we were allowed to use it, these seemed to be in blocks of 1.5 - 2hrs at various times throughout the day, but at inconvenient times, such as early afternoon or middle of the evening - times when you would most likely be out in the city. We didn't end up using these facilities. The room was pleasant, spacious and clean, a little road noise, but only what you'd expect from a city hotel. The hotel lacked any kind of ambience though, no bar and no restaurant meant there was no real guest presence. Shame. One night we wanted to order room service after getting in late. We rang reception at 23.15 to place our order (the room service booklet stated it closed at 23.30). Reception said it was closed and we could not order. This was rather annoying since we had not eaten since early afternoon and rushed back to the hotel to make it in time for what we thought was closing time. They told us over the phone it was 22.30 closing.

Comfortable and nicely decorated hotel

A weekend in Paris before business on Monday. A quiet neighborhood in close proximity to some scenic sights. Staff let us upgrade to special room paying the difference from prepaid booking. Often a hard concept for staff to do I have found.

Girls trip to Paris

The hotel was cosy, clean and has a great location. Very close to lots of shopping streets, metro stations, bus tours and places to eat. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and polite, those on the front desk speaking good English. The only negative I would give about the hotel in General, is in relation to the description of it having a bar and restaurant, they are really non existent. The restaurant looked lovely and modern but is only used as a breakfast room. The bar is literally a 4x4 area with glasses and a few bottles displayed, although The sofa area surrounding it was lovely, it isn't a bar you would sit at and order drinks from. over 3 days we didn't see any form of bar tender. If you are using the hotel as a base to stay and venturing to the many local places to eat and drink this shouldn't be a problem, but it's not a hotel for anyone wanting to stay in to enjoy these amenities. The room was slightly smaller than I had expected for the price we had paid for a superior double room. but I had heard that this is generally the case in Paris. They were equipped with everything you'd need. The only room complaint, is it needing more mirrors or a vanity area. Two females getting ready for an evening out was difficult, I had to almost put myself in the wardrobe to make use of the only full length mirror. this isn't the worst thing but a little un comfortable. We had no view at all but avoided any street noise. So pick your battles.! Overall we had a nice stay

Good location

Clean room although a bit too small. The hotel has friendly and the lifts are decent in space unlike some other hotels where you cant squeeze in 3 persons with luggage. There are a fair of eateries around the hotel that provides western and asian food. Best part of the hotel is that it is pretty near the major shopping areas like Printemp and open top tour buses. My stay with them would be perfect if they had offered free breakfast.

The hotel was more than I expected. A very nice boutique hotel in a great location in Paris. Room was very comfortable and nicely updated/decorated (although not a large room). Hotel lobby was very quite and good place to meet for business or with friends. Staff was great - very attentive, friendly, flexible as needed. Would highly recommend this hotel (and I travel a lot).
