Beautiful hotel but for the price the room was sooo tiny.
I had an excellent birthday stay. The staff catered to all needs and provided me with champagne, macaroons for my birthday. I have stayed before. This hotel never disappoints 5* every time. Highly recommend.
Room and facilities are not as per the published image and specs on the website
Charming, elegant boutique hotel, wonderful staff with the swankiest Louis Vuitton elevator I’ve ever seen:-)
This is a great hotel in a great location. Plenty of coffee and restaurants in the area. The staff is amazing.
Great location and staff was very helpful. Room was a little outdated with a wired configuration where you couldn't open certain doors at the same time. The tinest elevator I ever seen and a wheelchair would not fit. Could not fit bags and 2 people on the elevator at the same time. The wife was cold and could not adjust heat.
The property needs complete renovation . Not suitable for modern traveler, hardly any outlets in the room to charge various equipment, bathroom too small... Smells 19th century...dont recommend it at all
This property is old, small , and loads of pungent smell when walking in!
We stayed at the Dokhan for 3 nights on the first leg of our honeymoon. It was everything we thought it would be and more. The rooms feel like something out of an Audrey Hepburn movie. Beautiful and cozy. The staff is attentive and helpful. This hotel has a lot of charm. 5 stars for us!
The reception staff was so friendly and helpful! Quaint little hotel that is very clean and a close walk to tourist attractions and cafes… would highly recommend and would stay again!
Beautiful building, full of character and history
Beautiful building, full of character and history. Bedrooms quite small (even for Paris) but comfortable. Wifi was poor. Well-located
The staff was lovely and incredibly warm and helpful. We really appreciate the antiques, art and decor. The location was perfect for us. We would love to stay again.
The room was very small. I am used to small hotel rooms in Paris but this was extreme. There were some stains on the bedspread and there were no free outlets to charge your phone, etc. Felt more like a 3 star than a 5 star hotel.
Great Location and Charming Decor
Very nice hotel and the location is great. It's a short walk to the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Elysees. We were in one of the rooms at the front point of the hotel. The room was very large and charming. This is a beautiful hotel which gives you that authentic old France feel.
LE Dohkan is a Paris jewel
Paris is a wonderful city to visit and Le Dohkan is a perfect small hotel base to explore the city. We enjoy being able walk throughout the Trocadero neighborhood, easy access to the Metro, and great local cafes. Best of all is the outstanding professional staff at Dohkan, they are friendly, filled with excellent recommendations and the staff know how to make your stay very memorable.
Wonderful romantic stay - comfy and luxurious.
We had an amazing stay – the suite was luxurious and comfortable. There were a few little issues – mainly to do with the fact that the hotel is a little dated now, and there are a few aspects which could do with a little upgrading! Although we loved our stay in the Eiffel suite - The toilet seat lid was broken, there was no hot water at all for our showers on our second morning, several of the wall sockets weren’t working, there was a slightly disturbing sewer smell coming from the bathroom at times, One of the bedside lights didn’t work, the curtains were a little difficult to close, and overall we felt that although the room was luxurious and comfortable, it could definitely do with an upgrade and some money being spent on repairs and improvements. Breakfast was tasty and the environment was comfortable. But the service, although friendly, was not professional and not efficient! We specifically asked for my partners fried eggs to be cooked a little longer, and not served runny. They came cooked as normal, and very runny. My partner didn’t want to mention it, so she went without her eggs, which I ate! On our second morning we stressed how we would like the eggs cooked again, more carefully, and made absolutely sure that we stressed they were to be cooked hard, and not runny. They came runny again! When I mentioned this to the waitress her reply was “well, they had 3 1/2 minutes!“ She didn’t understand the concept that the issue was not how long the eggs
The Perfect Parisian Experience
It was amazing! We were so close to the best Eiffel Tower photo spot too!
The hotel was lovely, but the room lacked a few basic things you'd expect for a luxury hotel - such as an iron and ironing board. What was most crucial, though was the lack of A/C. In November the room was sweltering hot and having the door open was the only way to moderate the temperature
Unique hotel, challenging elevator, nice location near Eiffel tower
A work ofFrench art, walking distance to sites
Beautiful and architecturally elegant French rooms. The superior room was huge with two windows , and two balconies , we got an upgrade for being platinum members. This is a boutique hotel with exquisite taste and very well located. Excellent service staff.
Small hotel but convenient and nice
Very nice stay! Location is very good, close to the scenic spots.
Not great/not too bad
Well located in a very attractive 19th-century building with a staff that is moderately helpful and air conditioning that takes outdoor temperatures down a few degrees at best. The breakfast is continental and the room I stayed in was so small and stuffed with unneeded furniture that it left no place to put my bag. With a little fine-tuning, this place could be much better. For the money, I did not feel it was a good value.
Very hot week in Paris. Temperatures in the 90's. Air conditioning basically non-functioning. Changed rooms 3 times. Staff supplied low-watt fan. Very uncomfortable. Room also was in need of of TLC, peeling paint in bathroom and worn and torn carpet. Small elevator could not accommodate more than 2 people and baggages would have to go up with one person. When cleaning staff used elevator, extremely long wait. Unfriendly and rude staff. This is NOT a 5 star hotel.
great staff, beautiful hotel
Very Bad Hotel Room
While I fully understand and appreciate the charm of boutique hotels, the Le Dokhan’s hotel in Paris is anything but charming. After numerous visits to Paris for business and pleasure, this is the worst hotel room I have ever had. It is poorly maintained and, depending on the room they give you, can be an awful experience. The room we had was very small. The following specific problems were noted during our stay: 1. Room was very small at any price 2. WC was to small to use the toilet as one normally would 3. The shower drained so slowly, you are standing in four inches of water by the time you finished 4. Woodwork on the doors was damaged and in disrepair 5. The carpet is worn and torn 6. The room did not appear to be properly cleaned during our four night stay 7. The breakfast table for two persons was too small 8. Coffee stains and dirt on the dinning room walls masquerading as antique 9. The breakfast room was understaffed. They had one person trying to serve twenty guest I communicated with management via written message to avoid any long wasteful discussions. The management offered no solutions to the problems. As we checked out of the hotel, all they could say was “I am sorry.” Photographs were submitted with this review
Emily's 21st birthday trip to Paris
Have stayed at this hotel previously and once again it did not disappoint we were in Suite 604 which was perfect and had the extra special bonus of a view of the Eiffel Tower amazing. Buffet breakfast was what I would expect in a Parisian hotel lots of fresh rolls and pastries and a selection of fresh fruit. Staff were on hand if need be and extremely polite and helpful. Wonderful stay all round.
The air conditioning was not working for most of the visit and made it very difficult to sleep. For 5 star hotel and price of the rooms this was not acceptable.
Refused my stay and charged anyway
I booked a deluxe room that said it could accommodate 2 adults and up to one child. I am a mom planning on staying with my two children. When I arrived to the hotel with my two children ages 1 & 19, they said they could not allow me to stay in the room, because they counted my 11 year old as an adult. I had just arrived in Paris after a long travel from the US and had no other arrangements. They would not relent. I commented that 11 years old is by no stretch of the imagination considered to be an adult by any standard and there would be no way fro me to know that this was their personal rule as it was not in the contract or on Expedia. America does not monitor hotel rooms like this. They were extremely rude. Not only did they not allow me to stay- they charged me for the first night. I literally could not believe the nerve of these people. the entire time, they were super condescending, acting as though I was a terrible mom for not getting two rooms for myself and my kids or their $1300 a night executive suite. It was insane. Do not waste your time here.
Love this little gem of a hotel. Beautifully appointed and terrific location. Staff is super helpful. Not quite full service but getting there and has really exploded in popularity in the past eighteen months. They have adjusted admirably. If they had a gym and many more amenities it would be impossible to get in and the price would be higher of course. Perfect mix of casual air yet they are very attentive. Keeps improving.
I loved this hotel. It is in a safe location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I always felt welcome and it was small enough to feel special. Our room was small, but comfortable and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a full size tub and really everything we needed. It is walking distance to the metro as well as many tourist sites. There are numerous places to eat and buy necessities in the immediate area, yet far enough away from the overly-touristy areas to be peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast (the best coffee ever) and really had not a single problem. This is a smaller, more ‘boutique’ property but I think it is a perfect place to be a home base for visiting the city. We were there to attend Roland-Garros and it was a short cab ride to the Stade. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to even my most discerning friends.
Great hotel! Wonderful personal - very happy with the stay - definitely be back :-)
Amazing service, location, safe, cozy, comfortable
We stayed in a delux room with a king bed. This hotel has the best service I've ever experienced. The concierge was always accommodating, helpful, kind, and made us feel so welcome. The first night we were there we were accidentally put in a smaller room (classic room). When I mentioned this to the concierge the next day, he moved us to the bigger room that we actually ended up paying for in the first place and felt terrible about this misunderstanding. It happens, it wasn't a problem. They answered all questions and spoke great English. The hotel is right across the street from a little food market in case you need water, snacks, beer, wine, etc. It's only 10 min walk from two big metro stations (Trocadero is the one we always took). In ten minutes you can also see the Eiffel tower from the Trocadero view. The room was always cleaned very well and was the perfect size for us. The classic room was too small for us, especially since we were there for 7 nights. We used the safe in the room to put all our passports and it was nice to have a little fridge in the room to put some things in. I highly recommend checking out Mokus l'Ecureuil near the hotel since their pizzas are incredible! We went there four dinners in a row we loved it so much. If you want to do a fun activity, check out the cabaret Crazy Horse since it's only a 15 minutes walk. It's a great location and very safe. Just be careful when you start to walk towards Tocadero since there are a lot of solicitors.
not worth money
not sure if the facilities at the hotel justify the price. Also I was at an executive room, 2 classes above a classic, and i could not tell what was so unique about it, i can only imagine what the classic room would've looked like? Location is good, but the hotel is small, boutique, has its own charm, only booked it because it was a business trip, and only minutes walk from where i needed to be, in hindsight i wouldve booked something else even if it was further
Nice stay, close to everywhere
This is a nice, clean hotel. Close to most of the touristic places. There is a little patisserie and a grocery wit in 2-3 min walking distance. Rooms are cute and clean. But for a 5 star hotel, its really small and not that clean and shiny you would expect. I was not impress with its lobby either. Staff are nice and helpful.
I was Amazed with how helpful the front desk staff was. I absolutely loved this hotel, my husband and I were celebrating our 13 yrs wedding anniversary. The front desk directed us to the best places restaurants, they even booked our flights to Italy. One of the best services!
Another great stay Le Dokhan. Great service and excellent recommendations for dining in the local area.
Quintessentially French
Very well appointed deluxe room with a big screen TV, quaint and traditional décor and an ensuite with small bath, shower etc. Rooms are a good size by Parisian standards. Staff speak English and are very helpful.
Beautiful little gem in the 16th
I have returned to this hotel many times now. Exceptional staff, the location is perfect for me, the housekeeping is perfect. It is beautiful. NOT FOR FAMILIES and I would not go if I were not alone. They continue to improve but it does not have a business center or gym so it is for a certain type of traveler. I will return and don't have any complaints at all and in fact lots of positive feedback but these are things of note. Room service is improving too! A beautiful property! Truly.
Amazing location and service Love it Elevator walls was cover by old Louis vitton I thought that was especial!
Paris Romance
I stayed at the Metropolitan; loved it and the view!
Beautiful Parisienne Hotel
Great hotel and very conveniently located in the heart of Paris steps away from the Eiffel Tower. Great shower, but the classic room is a little tight. Very beautiful lobby and friendly staff.
Wonderful Parisienne experience.
A lovely boutique hotel in the heart of everything. Competent, attentive staff add to the charm and coziness of this hotel. Comfortable, clean, affordable and inviting this hotel is a must stay.
Not only is the hotel in a great location it also provides a wonderful atmosphere.
Overall this hotel is nice and friendly, especially to English speaking visitors, and the location is excellent.
Fantastic Staff
I love this hotel and one of the reasons is the outstanding staff. Paul (one of their concierges) helped me get tickets to the Dior exhibition and saved me two hours of waiting in line. Everyone is very helpful and accommodating.
Great location, excellent staff, very helpful with everything.
An appreciated "welcome back"
This was my second stay in the past couple months. The staff welcomed me back and made me feel like a valued guest.
quaint hotel near Eiffel Tower
Staff was most helpful and eager to please. Hotel was interesting and historic
A real Parisian stat
We had an excellent stay- perfect location, the staff couldn't be more helpful and a really Parisian feel. We can't fault it!
May Day Break
This is a small, special, beautifully appointed hotel. Staff are attentive and extremely professional.
Fantastic hotel and super helpful staff !
It was a fantastic stay at Le Dokhan's ! With a small number of rooms, the hotel allows for a more personal stay than the large chains. This hotel has, by far, the most helpful and pleasant staff I have interacted with (and they are fluent in English as well !). The room was tastefully decorated and was typically Parisian. The hotel is walking distance from many of the attractions and has good metro connections as well. The fact that we were provided with a free mobile phone to use during our stay (with a data plan and free calls to EU, USA and Canada) was a pleasant bonus and super helpful during our stay. The concierge (Mr. Charles and Mr. Paul) were extremely helpful and I would definitely recommend having a chat with them about ideas and arrangements. Overall one of the best stays I have had anywhere in the world and I would definitely go back again.
Le Dokhan's
We loved staying in this charming hotel. If you love the web pics you will be very pleased. Short walk to the Trocadero and Eiffel Tower. Close to the Metro.
Nice hotel in Paris
I chose Le Dokhan because I want a very Parisien style hotel and that's what it delivers. Modern amenities with classic character. I'd stay here at again when I am back in Paris! The staff was nice and location was convenient.
Not SPQ quality
I arrived at 11 pm - checked-in - and found out the hotel bar was still open but I only had a few minutes left. I ran over and tried to place a drink. The bartender asked me to wait so I waited. A moment later, another customer appeared and went direct to the bartender and asked him for a glass of wine after which the bartender went to work. I was shocked as I had just been completely and totally ignored. That was how I started my stay. The front staff apologized and brought me up a glass but by that point I was beyond livid. Bed quality was "meh" and the decor was dark furniture in otherwise small and carpeted rooms which made it feel even smaller. Leaving the hotel, I booked a private car to the airport the evening before for 5:30 am. After arriving and spending about 7 minutes to check-out (not sure why they don't have a more streamlined process), the car had still not arrived. After waiting until about 5:45 am, I told the front desk person to cancel and that I was going to call an Uber instead which arrived immediately (and cost about 15 euro less). The biggest plus I would say is that at least the front desk staff were courteous and helpful and the location was amazing.
Amazing relaxing weekend in Paris thanks to this hotel
Very quaint. Helpful and courteous staff. Decent location for a few major sights
Good location. Old lift, TV and Internet systems
Only one old and very small lift in an old building. Old TV system that does not function well. Comfortable suite but lighting not good for reading/writing. Nice bathroom with Jacuzzi but water temperature control is not easy to regulate and you do not know which lever to use to switch between ceiling shower, hand shower and bathtub !!!
We love Le Dohkan's
Great place, Parisienne spirit, wonderful staff!
Superb Ambiance and Exceptional Service!
Fabulous location if you want to be on the left bank. Super easy to access all museums and the right bank with in minutes by cab if you want to dine or be on the right bank. Best of both world. Boutique hotel with the mentality and capabilities of a big/grande hotel without the fuss. Rooms are beautiful but tiny tiny. Elevator is an actual old Louis Vuitton Steamer trunk. Very clever. They need are almost there with the flowers and so on to be at the top level but then you won't be able to score a room. Fabulous, housekeeping, they do have full room service which many boutique hotels do not. REALLY exceptional full service concierge, also not usual for a boutique hotel. We loved it.
Friendly staff and helpful.
We stayed on the 5th floor on the south side of the hotel. From our room, which had a balcony, we could see the top of the Eiffel Tower over the neighboring buildings. On Thursday morning the concierge helped us book a table for dinner on Friday evening for 7 adults at a nice restaurant.
Lovely central Paris hotel, very well located. Ten minutes walk from Arc De Triomphe and Ten minutes to Eiffel Tower. Very relaxing bar area with roaring fire and attentive and professional staff. Small but beautifully presented rooms with lots of Parisian character.
Nice hotel, they upgraded my room :)
The staff was amazing ans super cool. I stayed there for one night and they upgraded my room to Effile tower suite :) The location is perfect.
Beautiful Hotel, Great Staff
We loved the hotel and location! Will stay again.
Convenient and clean hotel
The hotel was located in a convenient place close to the metro, in a good neighbourhood. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. We made good use of the 24 x 7 room service and enjoyed the continental breakfast.
Very nice and comfortable stay
We stayed at the hotel over the weekend for friends wedding. My wife is from Paris and the hotel was recommended by friends. Situated in a nice part of Paris, close to major attractions and very comfortable. Worth a stay and good value!
Many thanks for a lovely first stay here. Particular thanks to Guillaume who made this stay particularly memorable and the staff at the front desk who are so helpful and professional. The champagne bar is gorgeous--tasted my favorite champers ever. Breakfast is delicious. Merci mille fois!
5 star hotel - but not the finish of a 5 star hote
We booked a wotif mystery stay - it was headlined as a 5 star hotel. The room was very very small. as was the bathroom. We had no hot water on the final morning. Its in a good location, but does not have the feel of a top teir 5 star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice Paris Hotel!
This hotel was excellent. Service was great too! The only caveat is that the toilet is angled and in a small room. Also that the elevator even though it is very nice, at times it get's stuck or wouldn't open fully. Besides that great hotel, would stay again!
The room was small but filled with character. We enjoyed our stay.
Definitely not a 5 Star Hotel! The heat was not working, the TV was not working and they could not do anything about it! The staff is friendly but lacks training for what should be an upscale hotel. In addition, it is almost impossible to read in your room: they are so dark that even with the lights on, you still can't see anything. I stayed there on 2 different trips since I had booked in advance and I would not recommend it considering the other options Paris has to offer.
Great location, very quaint.
Nice but not a five-star hotel. Besides a very small restaurant and room service no other amenities. Hotel is tiny, but beautiful with charm. Very nice area- neighborhood. Staff was professional and very helpful.
Small room with limited facilities.
Room was small and quite dark. The promised views would be physically impossible to reproduce. Very limited breakfast choice. Brand had changed recently and therefore the promised in room entertainment package was not working for the entire stay.
Great location
A very comfortable hotel with good service.Unfortunately the lift broke down too often for a hotel of this standard, and the breakfast was only fair.
Great extra-mile service on our honeymoon
Radisson Blu really made the first night of our honeymoon in Paris a memorable one! They went above and beyond to provide us with a suite upgrade and complimentary champagne at their famous bar. They have English movies for a hefty price (17 Euro) and a fabulous breakfast that we were somehow charged much less for than the listed rate. Order the cheese platter and chocolate-filled pastries -- when in Paris! The location was fantastic for walking around the city. Close to the Eiffel and the Louvre, we ended up wandering straight into the busy Christmas market and checking out the giant ferris wheel. Very romantic and great service. Thank you Radisson Blu -- we'll be back for sure!
Paris for New Years!
Wonderful hotel! Great ambiance! Personal! Esp. The Champagne Bar!
Great location
This was a beautiful hotel right by the Eiffel Tower and the service was top rate. The room was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.
Nice hotel, I hope they start serving tea at the b
The hotel smells and looks great. It is small Parisian hotel. There were a few problems, such as the keys didnt work (we had to run down to reception twice), the toilet door god jammed and we had to change the room. The staff were very apologetic about it and compensated us. The English of the staff could be better. A big minus was the fact that there is a really pretty chanpagne bar, but you cannot drink tea in there. The champagne bar is very cozy with newspapers and i would have loved to have my pot of tea there. I also went there with my sister who had a glass of chanpagne. I dont drink so would have loved to order just tea, but they asked us to leave if I order tea. :(
Romance, beauty and yet practical
This is a lovely boutique style hotel. Only about 40 or so rooms. Downstairs there is an exquisite drawing room with a fireplace, beautifully furnished and presented. The breakfast room is also charming, although the choice of cooked food is rather limited. The room itself was lovely. We took the business class room which was quite large, especially for Paris, With a 6foot bed with a canopy. WiFi was good and fast. The hotel is a three minute walk to the Trocadero metro. It is mid-way between the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe about a 5-10 minute walk to either. There are plenty of cafés in the area, albeit they are all quite expensive for the food they offer. Staff were excellent. The one small flaw was the bathroom, where the coating on the bath had peeled off. The hotel was the perfect place for a romantic long weekend and my girlfriend loved it.
The staff were excellent and accommodating. We had an issue with our room and when we address it with the staff it was immediately rectified. The hotel exterior was extremely charming, as was the main floor. The rooms, however, were not of a 5 star standard AT ALL, but were certainly clean.
DO NOT STAY HERE
This is a terrible hotel. It is not well maintained. Heating cooling units in the rooms do not work properly. There is not enough hot water in the hotel in the morning for all to use. The internet was out the entire stay and they kept saying we hope it is working soon, but it never did. The room is small and very oddly configured, you had to move chairs around in order to get by the desk and the bed. The shower has a small glass door on it that covers 1/3 of the tub so you have to stand just right to make sure you do not create a puddle on the floor. On trying to contact a manager the staff kept saying he will contact you and he of course never did. The fabric wall paper is stained and dirty. I was expecting something half way decent for the price but this was not worth even half of what was paid.
This hotel should not be listed as Radisson Blu and does not meet five stars hotel criteria in any sense. it has no gym for exercising, no pool, no in house restaurant besides unwelcoming staff. Space is really tiny- should be delisted as a 4 or 5 stars hotel.
Nice hotel, close to effiel tower
Close to all the main attractions, very clean and friendly hotel. One thing about the hotel is that the rooms are very small, apart from that impressive hotel.
Charming hotel in a boring/remote location
A very charming and quiet hotel with helpful and pleasant staff in a boring location far away from central shopping and restaurants (eg Galleries Lafayette, Marais etc). We spent way too much time in public transportation and way too much money on Uber (avg 18 euro one way) every day. The in-room internet worked on only 1 day out of the 3 days we stayed at Le Dokhan - a major inconvenience! The room was lovely and quiet but slightly dilapidated, also there was a lot of dirt around the door hinges, which was cleaned on the 2nd day but not properly. The tiny LV suitcase-themed lift felt like a coffin and seemed to technically deteriorate every day of our stay. The bed was comfortable but the pillows rather bulky, so I was glad to have travelled with my own thin and soft pillow. There were slippers and bathrobes, and new toiletries were given every day. However, the toiletries were very mediocre not really matching the overall level of the hotel. There were many bistros etc (eg Victor for dinner - almost next door to the hotel, Creperie Gus for brunch, both booked through The Fork app) so we didn't have breakfast in the hotel but the champagne bar/breakfast room looked extremely beautiful. Overall, it was a really lovely hotel, regretfully, with poor internet and in a far-away not charming location, thus we would not return.
No Blu's at the Radisson Blu
Radisson blu is a fantastic quirky little hotel in Paris, full of character the perfect place for a romantic weekend. The Staff were extremely helpful, location was excellent, room was clean and a reasonable size as we rented a suite. The set up of the room is old in Character but not short of modern conveniences and presented to a extremely good standard. Highly recommended 4.5 out of 5 for a 5 star hotel, however bare in mind the price of the room is very reasonable compared to other 5 star hotels that are not in such an ideal location! Will definitely look no further if we ever spend some more time in Paris.
Distinctive Paris hotel
We stayed for three nights in this charming little hotel. The rooms are quite small(it is Paris after all) but beautifully furnished and scruptiously clean. The en-suite was again small but well designed and distinctive. The staff could not have been better, friendly, very helpful, efficient and courteous. The public areas were classy. The hotel hasnt got a full restaurant but we greatly enjoyed the interesting food in the Champagne bar. The area is quiet so there was no noise at night. The metro is very convenient
sad anniversary
I booked and had everything paid for and when I arrived to spend my anniversary night there they had some sort of technical difficulty and so I didn't have a room. I was pretty upset and they rebooked me at a different hotel but it had a completely different feel (too modern, which is why I chose their hotel to begin with). While dealing with this I did overhear a guy who sounded rather unhappy about his room and their inability to fix it so that's all I can do with this review. disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay the hotel was clean European and was spacious for a Paris hotel . I will add to my personal List of great hotels in Europe to return one day
Nice Location and Helpful Staff
It's walk to major attractions of Paris. Nice location and friendly staff. If you need something, just ask and their staff is more than happy to help you. Rooms are very small in size and so is the elevator.
RADISSON BLU LE DOKHAN PARIS
bOOKED AN EIGHT DAY STAY TO CATCH UP WITH MY SON AND DAUGHTER IN PARIS. THE HOTEL IS IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION IN TROCADERO, METRO 5 MINS WALK, ARC DE TRIOMPHE AND CHAMPS ELYSEE 15 MINS WALK, EIFFEL TOWER 20 MINS WALK. LOCAL SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND BARS ALL CLOSE BY. STAFF ARE YOUNG, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND ALL WERE FLUENT ENGLISH SPEAKERS. VERY PARISIAN ARCHITECTURE AND CHARM, LITTLE WORN IN PLACES BUT NOTHING THAT WILL AFFECT YOUR STAY. THIS IS A SMALL HOTEL SO NOT A LOT HAPPENS IN IT BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF ATTRACTIONS CLOSE BY. BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD, REALLY GOING TO MISS THE FRESH ORANGE JUICE. BY AMERICAN STANDARDS THE ROOMS ARE A LITTLE SMALL BUT PERFECTLY GOOD, THE BEDS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE LINENS WERE CRISP AND SMOOTH. THE AC IS NOT UP TO THE LEVEL AMERICAN TRAVELLERS WILL EXPECT BUT IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN THE COMFORT OF HOME, STAY AT HOME. THE ELEVATOR INTERIOR IS DESIGNED LIKE A LOUIS VUITTON STEAMER TRUNK. THE CAPACITY READS 4 PERSONS MAXIMUM - NOT ANY MORE. WE WATCHED 2 OBESE TOURISTS TRY TO GET IN TOGETHER BUT THE AUTOMATIC DOORS COULDN'T CLOSE SO EVENTUALLY ONE HAD TO WADDLE OUT BACKWARDS AND THEY WENT UP ONE AT A TIME. OVERALL, A VERY COMFORTABLE AND PLEASANT STAY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Hotel is dark, paint peeling off from ceiling, room is very small, no restaurant in hotel. Doesn't look like 5 star hotels.
Close to the Eifel Tower
Great location but the rooms were very small. The one elevator was also too small for 3 or more. However. The stay was fine.
not recommended.
we could sleep quite well, it was quiet during the night. but the bath room is too small, the toilet is just too small to squeeze in. the hotel loby is very small, or say this is no hotel loby, there is just a small counter.during the night there is no one to take your call, so i really do not know how is hotel is rated 5 star, i think the best is 3 star or lower. there is a few cheaper hotels nearby which are better condition. so the 5 star rating is really just a misleading.
Classic European atmosphere.
The biggest problem with the hotel is limited air conditioning, so a non-summer visit would be best. The staff were helpful. The neighborhood was much quieter than many others but still close to the Trocadero Park across from the Eiffel Tower where there was a party every night. The hotel decor caters to people who want a classic European experience. Metro stations are just a short walk away.
Very nice hotel close to Eiffel Tower
The only thing I would have to say about this hotel that is not perfect is that the air conditioning was practically non-existent in our room. It was super hot in Paris and we had to open the windows in order to get a breeze at night, and luckily, the air cooled in Paris at night. I think this is true with most European hotels so I would not use this to not choose this hotel. We Americans love our air conditioning! It was lovely and the staff was lovely.
Expensive for what it offers
The rooms were old and very small. Not worth the money. Hotel is very old.
Lousy room very overpriced
The room was so small that it was not big enough for two people no less one. The air conditioning was very weak and we actually had to constantly move suit cases around to wALK AROUND THE ROOM.
Good location with a distinctive feel.
Stayed here for four nights.. Room was very small but comfortable, but all hotel rooms in Paris are small. Prices were expensive, but all hotels in Paris are expensive. Location was excellent (and quiet) with a five minute walk to the Eiffel tower and a similar walk the other way to Arc de Triomphe. Breakfast choice was limited (even more so if you are gluten-free). But staff were very friendly, and a good overall experience. No hotel restaurant, but who eats in their hotel in Paris when there are so many good restaurants nearby?
4 Star Service at 5 Star rates.
Great location? Yes. Comfortable room? Yes. Stylish decor? Yes. Expensive? Oh Yes. Service? Yes and no. We stayed 10 days, and advised the hotel that we are celebrating our one-year Anniversary. But at no time did the hotel offer anything special, until we expressed our disappointment at the last day, but that was too late. And when breakfast is included, it should be more than just a bread basket. This is a 5 star hotel, but lacking in a few minimum expectations. Not commensurate with the price at all, but I guess we were paying for the location. Having said this, we must commend Nicolas who was extremely helpful in booking several events for us.
A beautiful botique hotel centrally located
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Paris. The hotel staff was friendly (and spoke English), the room was beautiful and spacious, and we really enjoyed the amenities such as the in-room Nespresso machine, free breakfast and room service. Also, the hotel is in the perfect location. 10-15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower, Less than 1 block from a small grocery store (one night we bought wine, cheese, meat, bread, macaroons, etc. and had a picnic in our room!), 20 minute walk from Monet museum. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance! We also walked to the Arc and Champs-Élysées from the hotel. The Louvre and Notre Dame are a taxi ride away. Anyway, we had a wonderful romantic time. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Paris!
