Privacy an issue on the rooms facing street. Somewhat rundown condition of the whole property i.e. big scrapes of wallpaper missing and unfixed. Water run cold and barely ran hot.

Very comfortable and spacious. Nicely located to town and walkable.

The freezer part of the fridge wasn't working properly and no remote for the,Sky TV However daily change of towels and room service very welcome

Great location, basic cleanliness was good. Had everything we needed for a one night stay. But look a bit closer and you see that deep clean items like the extractor fan vent, light shade etc. Could do with some cleaning. Could do with a refit, but still good value for money given the close proximity to town and the waterfront.

Great, close to town, well priced and amazing facilities. Staff were very helpful in finding a park as I had a jetski in tow. Definitely would stay again. Next time we are back in taupo we will be looking to stay here.

Quiet and lovely place

Property great location but needs double glaze windows as you can here the traffic and staff after hours the doors are locked and hard to give them keys back

Within walking distance of everything

We had a great stay. The room was clean and provides enough space for 4, without feeling on top of each other. Basically across the road from the lakefront. Nice and quiet. Great pool and spa, the kids loved it. Also only 2 blocks from the city centre.

Perfect location

Lovely staff! The room was exactly as pictured. Clean and comfy in a great location, across the road from the lake and close walk to shops & restaurants. Pool and spa a nice bonus. There is a craft market across the road every Sunday from 9am weather permitting, it was great, Very nice mussel fritters!

Overall was a pretty pleasant stay, liked the fact that we had our own carpark right outside our room. The property is an older property so it does have its flaws. A couple of downsides were that the walls seemed like they were paper thin because we could hear everything coming from the next door neighbours rooms, almost like they were in the same room as us. Which wasn't ideal. The floor of our suite was also super creaky and loud which was a little annoying when staying with multiple in the room and trying to be quiet but I guess that comes with staying at an older property. Our upstairs TV didn't work at all which was disappointing. Location was great and walkable distance into the city centre. I would stay here again.

Suited our needs perfectly - easy parking. Easy check in and check out. Walking distance to main town. Great views from room. Suitable for two adults and two rowdy kids

We stayed for 3 nights and had a really great time. They have great facilities, pool, jacuzzi, laundry facilities and the staff are all very helpful. They made us welcome with a box of chocolates, because it was new years, and really made our stay comfortable. Top marks all round!

Well located, close to the lake and the main hotel/dining precinct in Taupo. The buildings are showing their age a bit, but the unit was large and well equipped.

Nice and central to downtown Taupo. The single bathroom was a bit small for the full family. Nice to be over the road from putt-putt golf. Beautiful view over the lake.

Overpriced for what it is. We visit Taupo often. No soundproofing between units, woken in early hours by neighbors who weren’t particularly noisy just moving around. Location is good to access town but I’d stay elsewhere.

Room itself was ok, clean. Very narrow and steep stairway to upper bedrooms. Walls super thin. Other guests noise penetrated easily. Biggest downer was over pricing. Not good value for the $$$. Place is old and needs a full upgrade. Spa bath was nice and the view over the lake was good.

Property was up to standard. Little noisy but to be expected near main road. Small issue with water but resolved and made it up by giving us a late checkout.

It was fun having an upstairs. The view was magical. Very happy with our stay.

Surprisingly large dbl story unit with view of Lake Tahoe. Largest twin room we had on our drive from aukland to Queenstown. Very refreshing to have all the space.

Nice enough room, though you could hear noise through the walls at times.. Unit was slightly tired around the edges, with the odd edge showing bare mdf where paint had rubbed off Enjoyed the spa bath, and the good sized bed

After a long drive from Auckland it was a welcome relief to reach here. Very friendly at reception,showed us an upgrade which we didn,t accept. Spa was excellent relef. Guest towel ring fell off the wall unfortunately but otherwise a great visit,

Location is great but a bit noisy. The building is older and lacks soundproofing and is creaky. But still recommended.

We loved how clean the property was. Close by to all the amenities walkable distance. Amazing views. The only negative comment i would say is the stairs. The stairs were very steep. It would be difficult for elderly people going up and down the stairs as the rooms are upstairs. I had my toddler and i was continously worried just in case she fell down the stairs. A suggestion would be to have a protective gate or door of some sort for safety. Otherwise, everything else was amazing. Would definitely stay again :)

Excellent place to take your family, especially if you wanted to go fishing. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Look it was a bed late at night to break our journey. We needed a bed from 11:30pm until we left before 10am in the morning. There were 5 of us so plenty of beds. Space was quiet and dark. Met our needs

Room was average, however the bathroom hadnt been cleaned properly in a long time. Hair around the edges of the floor that wasnt ours and mould in the shower. Cutlery provided was filthy and lipstick marks on glasses. We paid for an extra person and the pull out sofa bed was as hard as rocks

It is closer to the main centre and the view and access to the lake is just within 3 min.

We spent one night in the one bedroom unit (upstairs bedroom, downstairs kitchenette and additional bed). Overall, the feel is that of a budget motel. No 'Suisse' feel at all, apart from perhaps the outside facade, which really needs a cosmetic overhaul. Nice spa pool and a decent size outdoor pool. Interaction with owner operators (?) was very brief and fairly matter of fact. No friendly 'where have you guys come from' or other pleasantries that make guests feel welcome. Walls to adjoining units very thin, we heard the neighbours shouting at 4am as if they were in our unit. Parking is very tight with little room to manoevre.

property needs some tlc it’s very tired. bathrooms are terrible and the deck around the property needs attention lots of nails are popping out. don’t walk to the pool barefoot

I love the room and location, and kitchen floor The view should be 10 point lack by council tree blocking all the lake view otherwise is enjoyable to stay.

Enjoyable stay. Close to everything.

Cleaning staff, kitchen and appliances, dining area and patio furniture, free parking, center location near the lake. We did not like the lack of shelves and hangers in the bathroom, front door hard to open, chairs and loveseat to watch TV are small.

Paid over $200 for a night for apartment that had very wet and damp carpet upstairs in the bedroom, big area, Apartment 12. Absolutely stunk, and at 10pm was too late to ring to change it. Management admit there was a roof leak 2 days prior and still let it out in that condition, which is not on. After complaining in the morning, was told manager not there and would ring me, i had to ring him at 7pm that night as no follow up and he begrudgingly gave us a $50 discount. The apartment should not have been made available, but clearly was, and was not fit for purpose at all.

Nice motel except the water pressure in the shower is terrible. Which one is looking forward to after travelling.

Spaciousness and location....bed very comfortable.

The chalet had everything we needed, was very clean, serviced daily. Very handy to everything, beautiful outlook. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. Would stay here again.

Nice basic accommodation

Clean, tidy room with kitchenette, sofa, dining table and tv. A very well stocked kitchen for cooking, fridge, kettle, pans and a coffee plunger. Nice comfy big bed with quality linens, good shower and clean modern bathroom. Location is a 2 minute walk to the lake,(uncovered) allocated parking on site. Many restaurants and bars within a 10 minute walk. Check out, 10am.

Very hood location, near to restaurants, cafes and shopping center, property is outdated and needs some upgrades. We had an amazing lake view as the motel located at waterfront just few steps from the lake.

Great location. Room was well priced and clean. Staff were helpful and discreet. Very pleasant stay. Stairs to upstairs rooms were too steep and narrow.

I didn't like the stairs in the two storey apartment as the steps were too shallow and would be exceptionally hard for the elderly.

Great location if you want to be close to shops / restaurant. A bit noisy for us. I wasn’t impressed waking up with 15 bug / insect bites after the first night. Which ruined my stay. I’ve never had this from any of my other stays in Taupo.

2 nights in Taupo

The hotel was good value for money it was to rainy and cool to use the pool but the location is ideal close to everything that Taupo has to offer. The negative thing is that the wireless was very slow, we made the reception aware of this and they said it should be fine showing us the router outside the room on the side of the building. I think that it just needs to be checked out, connecting to wifi was fine but the speed was like dial up.

Our stay was a quick last minute thought on our way to our Xmas day destination in Havelock North. The facilities itself were really run down and really poor for the money charged…………on the plus side, the water pressure in the shower was incredible.

Place is really nice actually, unfortunately it was during the winter time, so didn’t even get to try the pool out but over all the place was clean, would definitely recommend!

Shower was blocked and the lights in the kitchen area didn't work.

Property was what we needed for a night, staff were lovely and everything was very nice and clean. The only issue was that the spa pool (one of the reasons we booked) was tepid - it really needs to be set higher and there was no way to adjust it. A bit disappointing but the rest of the experience was good. Thanks!

Lovely friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy with great facilities - cook top, microwave, spa bath, shower, dining table and chairs, and fridge. Tea, coffee, sugar sachets provided and a 150ml milk. Lovely view out to the lake from our room. Room and decor is dated but adequate. Only issue was the creaking floor and stairs up to the bedroom - not great for sleeping children who you dont want to wake. We also took advantage of the laundry service. $5 for wash/$5 for dryer. The staff took it and did it for us - we picked up later in the day. Would stay here again.
