Good location
We stayed 2 nights and it was great. 😊 just a little bit hassle to walk going to hotel bcz of road constructions.
so may times call to restaurant but there is no reply from any 1
Lavilla should add Netflix
I would say the worst hotel in Doha, if we can name it a hotel in first place!!
somehow good
Fantastic, upgraded to a suite, hate to see a normal room. Very old
With this hotel, you get what you pay for It has nothing to offer but that's why it's only $40 a night The bed was uncomfortable, noisy and no free breakfast even though it's posted on the website
Bedbug Mansion
I was lead to a room with two beds, the room was full of hair on the floor and on the bed sheets, where it seemed like the sheets where tucked in place but the room itself was not cleaned! I did what I do usually which check for bedbugs! and Guess what! I found (ALOOOOTTTT) babies, mid size and monster size!. went downstairs and gave then S**** then they offered me another room! I didnt have any other choice but to take it since it was 3:00 am at that time. the rest of the stay was okay, the new room was clean (recently re innovated), breakfast was terrible (expected due to the price range) staff were friendly... well, NOT RECOMMENDED!
budget conscious hotel
Lavilla Hotel is for the budget conscious person, who is prepared to sacrifice some small comforts for the sake of saving a buck.
Please improve.
It was far below expectation. The matress and bedsheets were discoloured. Bathroom was not “clean”, the tile grout was dark as wel as the filler around the shower cabin.
EXPERIENCE DOHA
its reasonable for a first time experience in Doha
Terrible place to stay!
Never again ! Cheap place, no courtrsy water bottles nor coffee! Just 1 towel per day.... cleaning room not cleaning regularly....
Good and value for money.
The stay can be rated as Good and value for money. The rooms were clean and decently maintained but had cockroach. The hotel is located in Souq and has good connectivity for places around Doha.
Difficult stay, hard bed, very old facilities. Only good thing was staff
The cheapest and the worst in Doha.
Well I know it is a cheap 2 star hotel. Still it was very worse than what I was expecting. They could not find my reservation and I had to wait for 15 minutes at lobby. The room was very smelly, worn out and dirty. They didnt even have basic stuff like slippers toothbrush, toilet paper or towels in room. They also did not have plug converters which is a must in qatar. Had to pay for it. Thankfully it was only for one night. The only plus is the location.
Close to old market, waterfront
Staff was helpful, giving us directions to walk to the sights...We wanted lunch when the restaurant was not open, they had someone make something for us... let us store our luggage while we walked around....good wifi in lobby...they arranged a pickup shuttle & our return shuttle to airport
Nice hotel, great location.
This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the famous Souq Waqif, a shopping and dining hot-spot which is why I chose to stay here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I checked out too early to enjoy the breakfast offered here. This hotel is a short walk from the Museum of Islamic Art (10 minute walk) as well as the #777 bus which takes you to the Airport and the City Center. I also took this into consideration when choosing this hotel.
It's worthy for the price . Good. Room well maintained and clean
Not the best of Doha - 0.5 stars
The stay got off to a bad start when they couldn't find my reservation. This amongst other things such as staff not really knowing what they are doing made for a long check-in. Then they were not sure whether breakfast was included on my booking or not - then removed it anyway. The room was of low standard but acceptable given the price. However the shower is the smallest I have ever used and has no glass or curtain to close it. Location is great but a little of the beaten track. Very safe
Functional, comfortable
I stayed at Lavilla for one night, on long flight lay-over. This is not a resort hotel, if you want one of those go to the beach. For what it is, a comfortable place to sleep, have breakfast, its fine, and I have no hesitation to recommend it. Staff were helpful and courteous.
I did not expect the hotel to be in such a condition - neighborhood is not great (despite being near Souq waqif) - room was small and in a bad condition - could not use the shower because of mould all around it - glad it was 1 night only
Excellent
Very nice location,room and service
run down slum
i had a short stop in doha and needed a place to shower and a short sleep The hotel is in a bad dusty run down neighbourhood.rundown slum old rooms dirty bathrooms i booked a wake up call and they forgot to call me nearly missed my flight
comfortable for one or two nights
Overall I had a comfortable stay, breakfast could be a bit more varied. Staff were professional and friendly.
Hotel Lavilla
Filthy bedroom carpets, Bath rusty, shower not fit for use.
Quite frankly Surprised
Quite frankly hotel is bad in all respects first reception was very poor booking did not show in their system. Even though, it was assured to me and confirmed booking is done. I ended up in 3 bad rooms. the rooms were too small and the furniture was too old and worn out. The bathrooms were dirty with very rusty and old furniture. Completely not match the rooms I have seen in the advertisement and requested and made the reservation for. I do not recommend this hotel at all. It does not worth what I have paid for.
Good value, accommodating staff
Great stay. The room (and view of the city) were beautiful, and the staff were so accommodating that they even brought breakfast to my room at 5 before my flight, when it isn't supposed to be served until 6. And the price is right, too.
Don't book now...wait for construction to finish.
The front of the hotel has a nearly one-block dirt parking lot that you have to walk through to get to the hotel. It is unclear what is to be done to make a proper entrance to the hotel. The room was fine, the staff friendly (though a bit difficult to understand because they are from India or Bangladesh).
miserable hotel
It was realy miserable
Nice Hotel, Easy access
good hotel with good staffs, good for 1/2 nights stay..extremely convenient for business travellers
not satisfactory
I booked in Lavilla hotel but when I visited then there was no room so they shifted us in Lavilla palace but their driver took us in Lavilla inn as he got manager instructions. then we make noise so they shifted us in Lavilla palace. this hotel is 3* but it is an average hotel. bad situation of romms.
A hotel to avoid
OK. So it's half the price of other hotels in the area. But you get what you pay for. I had to move rooms to get hot water. Breakfast is not the kind of breakfast you're expecting. The room I moved to had a bed as hard as a rock (a medical bed) so they had to bring a small better mattress. My advice: go to the hotel next door.
stay in my business trip
we informed hotel to give us seprate single bed on higher floor. but they don't have.
Business Only
Functional for a business trip
OK hotel for the price
I needed a budget hotel for the weekend in Doha. This one is not exactly cheap, but it's way cheaper than the options.
Far Below Average
They first put me in a room that was really tight, in bad condition, cant take a shower without making a miss around, un clean, etc. then, after request, i was shifted to a bigger room. which was OK. the main issues are: 1-NOISE from other rooms and people moving in the corridor, I was not able to sleep well. you feel like they are inside your room !! 2- the cleanliness of the only available restaurant, simply you cant find a clean table, tables are covered with food leftovers and no one is there to change anything, also you can find the cups unclean, etc. 3- the cleanliness of the towels are bad 4- th epoint is that, staff know that it is cheap hotel and they are acting accordingly (as if they are saying "you've accepted to stay in a cheap hotel so you handle it").
OK for a quick stay
Pros: 1) easy walking distance to the Museum of Islamic Art [MIA] and the Corniche [waterfront promenade]; 2) decent breakfast even includes some Indian options; 3) helpful staff had laundry done for me within 24 hours. Cons: 1) the immediate neighborhood is negligible [unless you are interested in Souq Waqif]; 2) my room was not the cleanest or brightest; 3) my shower had unusually hot water [not enough cold] and the shower stall door was missing, so water got everywhere.
comfy beds
Great we enjoy
They waste my time
It was really bad, they have 3 hotels and don't have rooms for my reservation!!
Budget Stay in Doha - Location Interesting
We loved Doha and the souqs, and we stayed at the Lavilla Hotel because online and on the pictures it looked great - and it was OK. The staff was just amazing and so helpful in so many ways - from helping us go to where ever we needed to go with a taxi or bus or car, they were amazing. We had great service in our room and the food was delicious and so reasonable. The area around the hotel was a little strange, full of immigrant men and local homes that were a little rough, but the people were so lovely and less than 1 block away was the Gold Souq, tons of restaurants, great shopping, the Corniche beach walkway area, and the Islamic Museum of Art not to be missed. Everything we needed to visit was so close - Katara Beach, the Pearl, museums, souqs, and Education City. It was wonderful if the room was a little more updated with more plugs and a better modern bathroom.
I don't know, I was booked in a single room.
Hotel is in good location, shopping, entertainment, culture, safety and airport .
Cheapest Hotel in Doha
The staff were good and helpful. Not a great knowledge of the area though. We changed rooms three times before we were given one with both a double bed and a shower door, so make sure you are satisfied with your room, the staff are more than happy to switch you around. It is just up the road from Souk Waqif, and it is the cheapest hotel in Doha at the time of writing, 61 USD in China will get you a four star hotel, in Doha you are lucky to get one. Scruffy neighbourhood but it's fine. Make sure you request breakfast in the morning as the selection isn't great, but the staff again will take orders for eggs and are very accommodating.
Handy location, once you find it
The hotel was fine, but nothing fancy, the staff were friendly. The map took me to La Villa Palace, which was not the correct hotel, but the receptionist there sent me in a car (free) to the correct hotel. The lane way in which the hotel is hidden looks pretty shabby, but I believe Doha is super safe, so no worries about security. For a cheapish hotel in the middle of Doha I recommend La Villa.
Sketchy!
The location and rooms definitely did not make it feel like we were in the "richest country in the world per capita." I guess you get what you pay for! I was in a room by myself and heard loud banging noises until about 2:00am... definitely not a place to stay alone in a room!
it's place for sleep only you can not use it for many night and stay in the for long time. the break fast so simple, it's form 6 to 10:30, I cam at 9:30 almost nothing there. and no one refiling.
Perfect budget hotel for Doha
I decided to stay at the Lavilla hotel based on it being the cheapest result in the search results. For the price, you cannot do better! Overall, I was very satisfied, the room was clean, service was very helpful, and it has a great location for sightseeing. Yes, the free breakfast is awkward at best, and this certainly is not a luxury hotel. The immediate neighborhood looks dodgy, but the touristy section of Doha starts less than a half block away, the souqs, museum, and corniche are a leisurely walk from here. Regardless of the neighborhood looks, it's Doha - you're not going to get in trouble. The hotel has it's own transportation, which was nicer and cheaper than the local cabs.
Hotel staff very polite and courteous. Nice comfortable bed in room with AC. Good selection of tv channels. Breakfast was ok, not fancy, but you could eat well. Close to Islamic museum and old souqs. Certainly vale for money.
OK budget hotel, but not for the timid
I spent a night at another property from this chain, LaVilla Inn & Suites, before I came here, and though it was technically a "step down", the opposite is true. This is the best of their 3. My room is nice-looking, the staff were very friendly at the front desk, and they easily accommodated my need to leave my bag there early in the morning, pre-check-in. But when I arrived that night, my bathroom had no toilet paper or towels; when I called about it, I was given a roll of TP and a hand towel. When I said, I want a bath towel, I was promised one in the morning, which never came. My second night, I still had no towel. The breakfast buffet, meanwhile, is strange but not necessarily awful. Offerings included hummus and sliced cucumber, olives, hard-boiled eggs, rice, beans, some kind of vegetable mix, two kinds of low-end cereal with milk, juices, and make-it-yourself instant Nescafe for coffee. Lastly, on the location: it's within walking distance of the Souq Wasif, which is great, but its immediate surroundings are dusty little side-streets with auto repair shops and furniture upholstery shops. Seems safe enough, even for a woman, but it's not somewhere I'd choose to walk alone at night.
Do Not go there, I have warned you!
Very misleading Internet info about the hotel that shows it as a good one, but reality is something different.
La Villa Review
Very nice, just make sure you give a tip to the bell boy and who cleans your room. Believe me they have a hard job in the crazy heat..
doha trip
location is good. near corniche and souq wariq (a tourist and local built up shopping district). Easy to get groceries and supplies in the near by neighbourhood.
Good location
Good location but the wifi signal is very weak inside the room
LaVilla Hotel
Another disappointing stay, the shower was very moldy, found a small cockroach, sheets and towel was ripped and old. The staff are nice but untrained.
Okay budget hotel.
Friendly service,5 min walk to Corniche and Museum. Old rooms but clean. Lots of cheap restaurants in the area. Taxi from airport less than 25QAR Stayed 2 nights with my wife and baby boy. Breakfast from 6,30.
Lavilla hotel Doha - good value for your money
The hotel itself doesn't stand out too much in any particular aspect, but it's a decent place to stay and good value. The rooms are pretty comfortable and clean, the location is good and the service is great. A continental breakfast is included, which isn't spectacular, but is still pretty decent. It's within walking distance of Souq Waqif and the Museum of Islamic Art (in the winter anyway). I would stay there again.
Stay away as far as you can from this hotel
This hotel is not even one star, the only thing they have ok breakfast. It is very bad experiance.
For cheap price? Yes! No problem!
Hotel Overall
Staff were very helpful, but the room was never cleaned for the three nights we were there. I will give the Hotel one star. It is conviniently located if one wants to visit Museum of Islamic Art and the markets
Payment Of The Hotel Bills!
I submitted to them my hotel reservation confirmation. It took them a long to trace the booking. Initially, they told they have nothing. I and the hotel as well were not sure whether payment has been made earlier as I provided my credit card no. on line. Later they told me is not paid and have to be paid. I said I will pay when I check out but they keep reminding me of the payment so I got so fed up that I paid after I came back from my dinner. Other staff and the hotel services were generally good. I will consider to stay in the same hotel again. Please suggest to the hotel to provide drinking water in the fridge. The guest can pay. TQ.
Recommended for budget travellers
I would recommend this hotel for a short stay for those on a budget. I was transitting through Doha and it was perfect for my needs. As a lone female traveller the location was great being 10mins walk from Souk Waqef which was a fun evening out. I felt safe enough walking round though caution needed as with any city and I covered up. The hotel is down a short alley way which is around 1min walk from the main road, I felt safe enough walking to and from the hotel. Room was clean enough for a budget traveller, there was a dead cockroach on the floor but other than that I saw no pests. I had to leave at 4.30am for my flight and the hotel was good enough to bring me a very early breakfast to my room. Quiet location for sleeping.
Lavilla hotel in Doha - excellent 2 stars value
Excellent value for a 2 star hotel in Doha
Lavilla Hotel in Doha Qatar
The hotel from the outside looks fine. The lobby seems to be OK. The neighborhood did not look too good. There were a lot of allies and narrow walk ways. I was really shocked as the Taxi driver drove to the hotel. Some of the furniture was not in good repair If you are going on a business trip, this is not the hotel for you. The staff was very helpful and nice.
Convenient
you get what you pay for, this hotel is reasonable and a walking distance to souq waqif and the traditional restaurants. but i noticed dust in the floor
3 stars for the price of 1
This hotel was very clean. The room is comfortable, the bed is huge, there is a flat screen tv. The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the new touristy Souq Waqif, and not far from the airport (the cab ride was 20 riyals, about $7).
Was ok
Good for the price, clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. Its location was really good, close to the airport and to the other places in the city, or Doha itself is very small!
Good for the price
Clean. Good service. A 15 riyal cab ride from downtown, but excellent for the price compared to the other options.
A bit shabby
The hotel seems to have new furniture, but could use an overall renovation. The rooms are really too small to accommodate the furniture and still allow movement around the room. The bathrooms are ancient. The shower appeared quite dirty. The front desk said they would schedule a taxi for me at 7:00. When I went downstairs at 7:00, they started looking for a taxi. It took about 20 minutes for someone to arrive. Luckily, I had given myself plenty of time to get to the airport.
Not happy
Not happy don’t want to come back again. Thanks so much
Good location near Bus station
