This property is far from luxurious as advertised. An overwhelming smell of fish cooking you could smell outside,, Dingy linens and towels. No housekeeping as advertised. Needs a good clean, paying attention to detail.Outdoor furniture rusted away, obstructed views. The couple who run this place are past it.

it was close to town and the view was magnificent

It has a good location and spacious rooms, but the bathroom is in terrible condition and requires a lot of work to be done.

Disappointing . The only redeeming feature is the view and location. Old, dirty - needs a complete overhaul. Bathroom is awful -couldn't close the shower door , needs draino down sinks..Struggled to lock balcony door, blinds falling apart . Could not wait to leave . Looks nothing like the photos . The rating and reviews were misleading . We stayed in the two bedroom flat - won't again . Will spend a bit more and be comfortable

Not good experience. The place as you enter it smells old, a very unpleasant smell. This place needs a major renovation. We found hair and stains in multiple places, and I doubt they give anything a good clean after guests leave. We went there expecting a good breakfast, as stated on the website, and we even called to check. However, by the first morning, we were told it did not apply to us as we had booked for the apartments which was not stated as it was labelled as the B&B, and got told they could not make food for 6 people. Not worth it at all. I give this place a 2 Star and that’s being generous. Don’t recommend this place at all.

Needs airing out updating our fan needs replacing making noises all night hard to sleep

Very good place to stay

The apartment was spacious right opposite the beach with beautiful views, it was a little dirty otherwise it was a great apartment.

The sweetest hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and staying at their property. Family run business right on the beach, the perfect location and great rooms.

Location for price is brilliant!

Our hosts were delightful and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. What a beautiful place to stay.

Pleasant stay. Rooms aren't huge, but totally functional. No issues. Check-in information could've been a bit clearer.. I had to call to find out. Maybe a welcome text would've been better a few days before to confirm times etc.

Towels were not provided at the property. When booked for a holiday was not expecting to need to pack bath towels

The hosts were very warm and friendly. Perfect hospitality.

Convenient to everything, great breakfasts but the managers were too intrusive.

Great position opposite the surf club and beach

Comfortable, stylish, convenient. Wonderful hosts, excellent food.

No wi fi no air con no microwave no water views the place had a musty smell noisy fridge ran all night the hot water in the shower took forever to get hot off milk in fridge the place was dusty false advertising they advertised that a spa was available but because of COVID it wasn’t available so there was no price reduction because of this paying $200 a night was a rip off to say the least and we will never stay there again and we will be telling as many people as we can to not stay there also we felt uncomfortable while they stood over you while you ate your breakfast

Location!

Owners kind (gave me a book to take home) and breakfast amazingly good. We did not have to do any washing up of the plates and cutlery used for other meals (restaurants had just been closed). Location near beach, and shops a short walk away. But towels needed to be bleached, and the room was a bit tired.

Close to beach and City Centre

Lavender House is close to all amenities, all in walking distance with beautiful views of the ocean. The hosts Linda and John were very warm and friendly and made my stay pleasant. The room was spacious and inviting with all the mod-cons.

Room needed to be aired out. No air circulation through the room. I wouldn’t stay there again as the room was too expensive for what you get. I would’ve been more comfortable in a local motel for half the price

5 days Comfy Holiday

Overall is a good experience. Bottle water that was included turned out to be tap water in glass bottle. The feeling that the owners of the house are always around is little bit uncomfortable.

Excellent location opposite the beach!

The only think we love is the location and very convenience, the washing machine and dryer are very old and dryer didn’t work when we need it, the frying pan were not in good condition,almost the cooking utensils are very old ,in the bedroom also the same, the linen and blankets are very old condition. Somehow we also cannot use our mobile data, the signal were poor inside the apartment, we need to go outside further to get the signal.

Great B&B in an excellent location

We were impressed with the welcome from the hosts, the cleanliness & airiness of the room. The location was ideal with very good recommendations for activities & restaurants from the hosts. The breakfast was wholesome and well presented.

The owners were wonderful... Breakfast was lovely... The room was small and was given the room that I didn't book, also there were small bugs colonies on the ceiling ....

Very good B&B s stones through from the beach

Felt like visiting family. They were welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful and shared with the other guest. Even the Easter bunny had been and left us small chocolate eggs by our breakfast plates.

It was a minute walk to beach

Enjoyed our short stay. The host were welcoming, nice to talk with and made us comfortable. The breakfast was to die for. I will go back for sure!

Lavendar House

The owners of Lavendar House were very lovely. For an advertised luxury b an b we were a bit diddapointed that there was no air conditioning in the room, there were ceiling fans however having lived on the coast all my life it is humid and ceiling fans do not alleviate the hunidiitiy. For what u r paying for a room we though air conditioning would be a must. I feel the tarring could have been under the $200 mark for the room - although very clean and old fashioned it did feel like staying at a relatives house as it was a bedroom with a very very tiny ensuite. Beside this it was a lovely stay.

Honest, clean & cofortable.

Older style, comfortable accomodation. Great view & close to all facilities. Friendly operators, with good local knowledge of attractions. We'd stay there again.

Nice place to stay, but dont ask for wifi

Stayed for one night. Very freindly owners. Nice breakfast. Was a bit dissapointed by the owners comment in the hotel's book in the rooms. We needed WIFI to book our next nights hotel as we had been travelling up coast. Disapointing to be told 'DONT ASK FOR WIFI, TALK TO EACH OTHER' !!

Nice place close to beach

Hosts very welcoming, breakfast in morning was lovely plenty of choice. We also enjoyed using the spa facilities which are available Car park facilities

Great positioned Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I experienced a friendly couple who were happy to accommodate our needs and looked after us well.

Nice relaxing location to get away from it all

Rooms were a decent size to relax in, and although they appeared to lack the latest fixings you would expect in a city hotel - for a B&B it has surpassed my expectations. The hosts were spectacular, and the breakfasts tasty. They certainly gave me the home away from home experience without being intrusive.

My stay

Bathroom very small. Dust on floors. Programmed pest control at 9am before checkout, room does not reflect web site. Carspace very small. No aircon. Close to the beach and great view of ocean.

Overpriced in busy season

The apartment and furniture is pretty old but the cleanliness is acceptable. There is no shampoo or shower gel, just a bottle of handwash liquid, which is not described as the ads.

Good location, overpriced

The room was overpriced for what it was. The hot water was dodgy. Breakfast was pretty good and the room was serviceable. Whatever you do, don't ask about wifi! Apparently that's sacrosanct.

Quaint B&B centrally located

Pleasant overnight stay - walls are thin so you probably wouldn't choose this location for an amorous adventure.

Very hospitable

Linda &. John very friendly. Breakfasts huge. Muffins tasty if you wish to be spoilt go there.

It was close to the beach

The Electrical stove didn't work , there wasn't any air conditioning system just fan The apartment was reasonably clean only 10 minutes walk to the down town..

Great location for a short stay

We had a comfortable stay at the Lavender House. Only 50 metres to The Entrance Surf Club, beach and ocean baths and a pleasant stroll along the boardwalk into The Entrance plaza. This B&B is run well by John and Linda. The rooms are light and airy. Linda has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and she and John provide a hearty breakfast with a wide variety of cereals to choose from, home made muffins, fresh fruit and John will cook up a delicious selection of eggs, bacon and sausages if that is what you prefer.

The Entrance visit

The rooms in the hotel is very nice. However the two bedrooms apartment is slightly disappointed. It is recommended to stay in the hotel especially the room 7 and 8 are excellent. The location of the hotel is 5 mins walking distance to shopping centre, restaurant etc. It is very convenient.

Cosy & comfortable B&B near the seaside

Great to be able to book in for 2 nights over Easter at short notice. Booking process was smooth, welcome was warm. Whilst the website refers to this as a "luxurious" B&B, that is overstated. It is cosy, clean & comfortable but certainly short of luxurious. The hosts are "extraordinarily" welcoming and hospitable throughout the stay.... The accommodation is in fact quite small and the hot water was very unreliable. Tea & coffee in rooms looked quite aged, for price we expected something a little higher like plunger coffee. Great location for walking to restaurants and beach plus as a base to explore the NSW Central Coast.

Accomodation

The hosts, John and Linda were very friendly. They prepare a great breakfast which is so filling that some people can forego lunch. The car park is good but a little small. Location is very good. Walk to seaside. Room facilities adequate.

Comfortable & clean, beach & restaurants close by!

I booked a room for my Brother & his Wife to celebrate their 1st Wedding Anniversary and arranged a high tea there also. We all had a lovely time, Lyn & John are very hospitable and friendly hosts!

Disappointing - 2 bedroom apartment - 1970's style

While the apartment is okay albeit very dated and. A musty smell, we did not feel secure as the balcony sliding door facing the street on the ground floor has a faulty lock. I did not feel safe sleeping there with two young children - anyone could have come in. Would be fine if you are young single people. The major issue issue is the owner John who was rude and a "bully boy". Linda his wife was fine. We told them of our concern within half an hour of being in the apartment but John said there had never been a security issue and the Entrance was a safe place. We left and went to a Caravan Park to a lockable and fully secured 2bedroom cabin. The next morning we rang - John was rude, arrogant and dismissive - he had found people to take the apartment for the next two nights and refunded two nights but refused to refund the first night despite us not staying there. Not I place I would recommend

Just ask and you will receive

Lovely place to stay and is the cleanest i have ever stayed at and with a/c and o/head fans, windows that open and a very quiet street, sleeping was not a problem. The hosts love a chat and only ever asked that if we wanted anything different or that they had not provided, that we tell them what we want and they were happy to accommodate our requests. It is very close to the surf club and only about 1/2 km to centre of The Entrance town and shopping.

It was a relaxing, energising break. I have already recommended it to friends.

We stayed one night The BB was friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent.
