£71 fortnight family room so just expected what we paid for a bed for the night.. was very surprised from the moment we entered was a lively welcome nice clean room and comfy bed pool room for a little play was very impressed and would definitely go again. Was just off sea front too so not right in the noisy street but on the side street was perfect. Complimentary tea coffee in room too.
Would stay here again
We was impressed when we was given our room, for the price we paid you couldn’t fault it. The room and bedding was very clean and tidy. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied in the room. The towels were very soft and fluffy. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve slept in with a memory foam mattress, the pillows were lovely and soft. We was able to get a parking spot on the road outside the hotel, however they do have parking on site at a cost, The lady on reception was really welcoming and friendly. We would stay here again with no hesitation
My 3 Days in Blackpool
We arrived, and I was wary because when I booked,it was quite cheap! However, on arrival, we were rather early so we could only register, not book in. The young man Dawid was extremely polite. we were shocked at first, as I hadn't noticed in the reservation description, that a £50 deposit per room was taken, and was returned as we checked out, an older gentleman who was in attendance at the time said just take for one room, we obviously looked honest, and perhaps were older than the normal clientele! ha! ha! Also we had to pay for the parking, I understood it was limited, but again shocked it was £10 a night. But to be quite honest this wasn't a large problem, but I would have again liked to have known before, when I first booked, but did I miss these 2 things, perhaps this was in small print? No idea! But it was really only a small problem. I must admit, it would have been nice to have had a lift, we live in a bungalow, I was 2.5 flights up, my sister 2, but again, not really a disaster. It just wore us out! Ha! Ha! We were very impressed that our room had been cleaned and a change of towels on our 2nd day, I wasn't really bothered as we left today, but this helps to get a gold star! I always judge by cleanliness and the shower, both of these were excellent. Along with very polite staff! Having not been to Blackpool for 49 years, I was shocked how the area was quite run down as a pleasure beach, it really wasn't so pleasutrable! But las Palmas was Grand!
Stayed for 1 week with the wife and did not receive clean towels or bedding. The room was nice despite this and very clean upon arrival thankfully. The main issue i had was the parking as it was very difficult to get to due to the long and extremely narrow entrance. If you have anything besides a small hatchback i would definitely reccomend finding elsewhere to park. Our stay was still more than worth the money as the price was very reasonable for what i received.
It was terrible and it was expensive and still they want extra more money and it said it had breakfast and they didn’t do breakfast. I wouldn’t stay there again.
Lovely welcome by the hotel man very helpful he even parked my car on the carpark.Room clean and suitable (room 29) location good all round great weekend
I felt at home there and was treated very nicely and felt very welcomed
Avoid this hotel
Avoid this hotel, had to leave halfway through my stay due to waking in the night to find BUGS crawling in the bed. These looked to be from the pillows and quilt refused to stay another night and had to source another hotel at short notice.
Misleading booking experience
I was charged a £50 cash deposit for the room on top of the fee I’d already paid. There was no mention of this when booking. If I had known, I would chosen somewhere else to stay as having to hunt around Blackpool for a cash point before I was allowed to check in was not a pleasant experience. The parking for the hotel was poorly located and access to said parking was very difficult due to the only access point being down a very narrow alleyway. I have a large car and scraped one of my wing mirrors when driving down this alleyway. It was also charged £10 for the privilege which again, was not clearly advertised on the booking. I can confirm I won’t be staying here again.
Didn’t like the demand for a £50 cash deposit against breakages as it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the booking conditions, that said we were paid it back without issue. The hotel itself is in a good quietish location and easy to find. It was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable too. I would return so that says a lot.
The key fob for the outside door worked but the door was double locked from inside so I had to keep ringing the doorbell and after 5 minutes someone opened the door for me. Fortunately it was not pouring with rain. The neighbour in the next room was having a meltdown in the early morning. I was woken up by the neighbour at 5.30 am talking very loudly.
The Hotel is lovely the rooms are lovely but above me there was a dog running about the room all nite and scraping the carpet also the occupents above me were very noisy and 9 in the morning they put music on very loud,i do feel there should be no pets and soneone walking around to hear if the noise levels are to loud, the hotel is very good though.
Really nice friendly people very helpful and rooms very nice
Everything was OK apart from the bed bugs and wasn't made clear that I needed a 50 pound deposit which I had to walk half a mile in the rain to withdraw
Its ok just to stay in if you doing lots with the kids night time caretaker started moaning at the kids for the door banging behind them. Day receptionist was a bit weird coming on to us while out kids where standing there made us feel very uncomfortable that we left a day early. Nothing on website about paying car park but when we arrived was told it was £20 a night to park car and the lane to car park was so tight it caused damage to cars
Had a great time
Had a great time
I stayed before few times, for sure will book again
Really nice friendly staff room nice and clean lovely hotel ❤️
Had great time, for sure will book again
All good
Nice room comfy bed only fault was it was too hot and the tv remote didn’t work
Great stayed here few times with my dog £15 A NIGHT FOR DOG GREAT PLACE.
Easy check in, £50 cash deposit needed on checking in incase of any damages but got it straight back after a quick room check upon checking out. Room was a good size, clean and tidy, nice en-suite in the room too and the hotel is in a great location
My daughter could not access the WiFi in her room which she was very disappointed about would not change rooms for her saying the where fully booked even though the “vacancies” light in reception stayed on ?
For £10 a night parking was terrible having to drive down the tightest alley/drive way I have ever been down and long many cars have been damaged and because of none stop rain my car got stuck in the muddy grass as there is limited parking quite ridiculous I left a day early as I didn’t have anywhere to park
Quiet hotel close to seafront attractions
Quiet hotel.in quiet road ,a short walk to tne promenade and atractions. Bed was comfortable, and room clean.Larger bathroom than othetrstays. Particularly enjoyed light show on Blackpool tower from room. Did not use hotel carpark at rear of the building ,as did not feel confident negotiating narrow access lane but other carparks nearby at reasonable rates.Plenty of bars and cafes in vicinity.Would recommend staying here. able rates.
Parking round back. Down a narrow alley. Scratched car wing driving down.
Great hotel stayed with my dog great location
My dog caught fleas in hotel they charge £15 night for my dog to stayed there for 4 nights so that cost was £60 apparently they do a deep clean a can a sure you they dont do deep clean and they also charge you £50 damage deposit a had wee table in room couldnt use it as it was mobbling and hand towel rail in toilet was hanging off wall so definitely wont be back reception staff were nice people though.
We couldn’t go to the hotel because our flight from Nice to Liverpool has been delayed with 1.30 hour, then our lugages came with 1hour delay… The rental carcompany was closed then we call the hotel and the phone has been hanged off after i explained the problem
I was attended by an English gentleman, totally uneducated, he tried to coerce me to pay 50 pounds, in addition to what I had already paid, I arrived late with a 1 year old child and even so he would not let me in, a shameful service from ONE LORD THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE MINIMUM CONDITION TO ATTEND ANYONE, PROBABLY SHOULDN'T HAVE A FAMILY.
Quiet hotel in a good location. Dog friendly. Not luxury but comfortable.
Very nice hotel with very friendly staff
Absolute bargain!
Last minute booking for this little guest house. You literally can't beat the price that I paid, so I was a little concerned. However, Jacob greeted me with my car on the day, gave me a parking spot next to the hotel for 10 pounds, and was extremely helpful, letting me know about the different food places in the area. If you're looking for a basic, clean, surprisingly nice for the money guest house, look no further. I wouldn't hesitate staying again if I was in the area
The hotel is lovely, the staff and owners are very welcoming and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help us. We would definately go back again.
Wouldnt let me stay
Very nice stay
Nice little stay with a decent size room and not too far away from everything. Only negative would be having too leave such a large deposit while staying
So clean and nice staff
The staff were lovely. Problems sorted straight away.
Cheap and cheerful.
Very clean and tidy great lady on check in had no problems would stay again.
Great stay - staff were fantastic, room clean and fresh, fabulous value - cash deposit required which was returned. I’ll be back! I stayed with a dog and used the parking for which there are extra charges - both pet friendliness and parking were fabulous. Many thanks!
Disappointing
Hotel staff were nice and friendly and the beds were warm and comfortable but thats about the only things good. Arrived and first impression was the smell, very strong musky and quite unpleasant. That was also when we found out there was no breakfast available as they didnt have a chef currently. Someone kept wedging a firedoor open. The window didn't shut properly so there was a bad draft. The walls are a strange gunmetal grey coupled with low lighting made the room feel dark and dingy. The bathroom whilst obviously it had been cleaned needed a dose of help. There were bits between the flooring, the flooring wasnt designed for a bathroom, 2 used soaps on the shower surround, one of the doors was no longer attached properly and the overall finish felt a bit cheap and tacky. Oh dont expect a shower, for love nor money could we get the temperature right and there was no plug in the sink for a wash. And lastly even though we were on the top floor it was noisy, partly from the poorly fitted window but also we could hear next doors snoring and everyone on our floor clearly coming and going.
Good value,will go back
lovely clean room, 52inch flat screen television, comfy clean beds
Wouldn't stay again
There is no free parking. Deposit of £50 cash needed. That needs to be added to the listing on here as I didn't get their message. We'd booked 2 rooms. And nothing else is free either. Use up the tea or coffee, there's a charge for that. Staying for a while and want fresh towels or any other basic, normal hotel service - there's a charge. WiFi is free, but didn't reach the room. No shampoo and the bar of hotel soap was clearly used and put back in the cardboard box for the next visitor. Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. I normally strip off the beds to help housekeeping out, but as I began to take the duvet cover off, there were old bloodstains. I didn't want to find out what else I'd been sleeping with. Plus points - we were allowed to dump our stuff behind reception so we could go to out for the afternoon & evening and just checked in when we got back. Night porter was friendly.
Las Palmas
Fab hotel. Lovely staff, very welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you Las Palmas for a lovely stay.
It’s ok but won’t return
Young lady who greeting us was lovely. The room s clean but let down by shower. Get into the shower was a challenging. As the sliding door not working. It came off from the track ( both door ) we need to lift each times using it. Also hiding charge £10 for dog stay. And need to checkout by 10:00 am to get your £50 cash deposit back
Good location, quiet & clean. Staff friendly and good stay overall! 🙂
Ok for the price. Bit of a pain that they wanted a £50 bond in cash at cheque in. So had to go looking for an atm
Cheap and clean great wee place
Been charge £15 for late checking out
It is what it is low budget BB trying to survive in difficult times. Staff honest friendly and upfront the location is great. I
Fantastic hotel would definitely go again we went on a friday and it was so quite we absolutely loved it so cozy beds were beautiful and the room was so clean
Kicked us out a day early saying we had drugs on us was full of loud drug taking familys heroin needles out the back and refused us a refund even though he had no proof of said drugs disgusting servive abismal
Pleasant hotel would possibly stay again
Lovely hotel and friendly staff, my only criticism is the shower head wasn’t secure so unable to shower and no plug in the bathroom sink, otherwise a nice stay over
Sufficient
Brilliant hotel for the price! Excellent service and staff friendliness. Only disappointment was the shower was either boiling hot or freezing so it meant we had to have very quick cold showers (Room 25). Unfortunately when questioned this is normal for the age of the building staff said. Honestly for £20 a night without breakfast I’d definitely stay again
The single room was spacious and bright. Bed comfortable enough. Some biscuits with the tea and coffee in room would be an added touch. A choice of 3 size of cooked breakfast available, for a charge, in addition to cerials / toast/ tea or coffee.
You get what you pay for
For the money £19 a night you cant complain. But would rather pay double than stay there again.
Hotel was clean and in a good location. However half of the staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Internet didnt work the whole 3 days i was there, asked if they could fix it and they made minimal effort to sort it out. TV remote didnt work, told the lady at reception on checkout and she put the broken remote back in the box ready for the next customer. Asked for late checkout, one staff said they couldnt do it, (even though the hotel advertised having vacancies the whole time i was there) then another member of staff threw me out the room after leaving 30 minutes late and charged me £15 (taken from £50 cash deposit, which felt like robbery) and wouldnt allow me the full hour of late checkout. I had to ask them to call the police as they then had two males come and threaten to remove me after refusing to give my money back. The hotel wasnt the worst, but if you like unhelpful rude staff that dont listen to you, threaten you and internet that doesnt work with minimal effort to fix the problem then this is the hotel for you. I will definitely never stay there again and hope to never cross paths with anyone like the three staff members that were extremely rude and unhelpful
Great stay. Did exactly what it said on the tin
Would definitely stay again for the price everything was great. Apart from noise from other rooms but it’s Blackpool that’s to be expected
Staff really friendly & helpful. Ideal location
Room was dark with wet looking staining on ceiling. Wash hand basin cracked, toilet cistern unstable and shower fell apart when used. Matress was awful and needs replaced. Room was spacious as was bathroom and staff lovely and very helpful. Ofsite parking was close by.
Prob using the basement to human traffic!
Avoid at all costs. The first room was a single room with a small double bed shoved against the wall. I had to climb up the bed from the bottom and the bed frame was hard and wooden so I was covered in bruises. I upgraded the room for an extra £20 which was slightly bigger and the bed was still against the wall but this time the bed frame was soft so not as bad. There was no lager on draft, they had NO ice - AT ALL!! The onsite parking was £5 per 24 hours but in reality just a bit of derelict ground behind the hotel. There was no breakfast available! We left after the 3 nights to find that they had charged an extra £15 to my card, and after speaking to my bank they had also attempted and failed to take an additional £50 out even though we were home by this point! I have had to report my card as lost to prevent them from trying again, and don’t even bother trying to call them as they never answer and the mailbox is full!
Las Palmas Blackpool.
Arrived 1 hour early for check-in, friendly receptionist suggested we park at rear of the hotel and bring the luggage in before the check-in time. Car park entrance is a nightmare via a narrow lane, and I scraped the bodywork of the car on both sides. These things happen my fault. Back in hotel which looked clean and spacious, we went to our room on the first floor. It was small and basic but clean and tidy. A couple of faults, with bathroom,, shower was not working and inside door handle was insecure, but no problem. Beds were very comfortable and we slept well. The hotel seems to be suffering from a lack of staff as they had a large dining room and no food was offered, also the bar was unattended and games room empty. I noticed on the window that they had a list of vacancies, a problem that seems to be in a lot of hotels in Blackpool as we noticed as we were out walking, not just Las Palmas. As we were just sleeping there and had a big screen TV in room were quite satisfied with what was available as a 5 minutes walk away was an excellent cafe where we had an outstanding breakfast. On departure we were ready to leave earlier than check out, handed our keys back, got the luggage back in the car and just had the dreaded exit lane to manoeuvre with just a minor scrape on wing mirror. All in all we had a pleasant 2 night stay in Las Palmas. Next time I'll have to get a smaller car.
Blackpool 2021
Booked into Room 27. Its was small but clean , bed was comfortable. Unfortunately at the time the hotel didnt offer breakfast due to staff shortages
Nice overnight stay
We were pleasantly welcomed even though we were early and shown to the bar area so we could wait. Had a drink and a game of pool in the bar area which was unexpected. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Good value for the money although the parking area was not an option for any car larger than an old shape mini. However there was a car park a short walk away for only £7 for 24hours. Hotel is situated nicely between central pier and south pier all in walking distance.
Basic
Well you couldnt check in till 3pm, No parkijg near the hotel good job we found the church parking just riund the corner. Wifi did not work. No breakfast inc in the price :/ it is what it is bed was comfy tho
Very basic, clean enough
Very basic, but seemed clean enough on arrival. Toilets / showers etc smelled of bleach and had just been cleaned. We did notice that under the bed hadn’t been hoovered inbetween guests and there was food underneath. The hotel had a strong smell at times and was very basic. Fine if you paid for a cheap B&B but not worth the price we paid
Lovely staff friendly quiet hotel in good location. Able to take my jack russell also at £10 night.
Staff were fantastic breakfast was really good we really enjoyed our stay and will return there
Dirty nasty horrible
Dirty hotel room stunk off stale urine no housekeeping dirty underwear on wardrobe rubbish all under the bed no clean towels was told every 3 days intill i asked for some as the ones that was there was soaking as was left in the sink with a leaking tap sticky floors and bannisters floor under carpet had things sticking up when i told management about the dirty crusted underwear and rubbish all i got was sorry drug dealers right next door as neighbours i wouldnt let my dog sleep here the only good thing was the young male night porter always helpful and if wasnt for him i would of left the first night so if you are planning on staying here remember to wipe ya feet on the way out :)
Accommodation was very clean, staff were very pleasant and accommodating, nothing was too much for them.
Great location, good choice
Great location, early quick check in, good place to stay
Lovely staff and the property was lovely and clean 5 stars from me
