Would recommend. Small rooms but clean and close to Hyde Park
Great stay at this hotel. Helpful staff.
Good location in quite area
Very good location in quite area. Breakfast can do better though. Absolut not bad but not so exciting.
Great property, great location and a great price.
Totally revamped hotel.Very comfortable and reasonable.
Quiet and pleasant. No AC, this is a good place to stay for the price in the winter or fall, not in the summer
Lancaster Hall Hotel offers incredible value for its prime location in central London, just a short walk from Hyde Park and Paddington Station. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it an ideal option for budget-conscious travelers who want easy access to the city’s top attractions. With friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere, it’s a hidden gem for those seeking affordability without compromising convenience.
The best
Easy access to tubes.
I stay here often. This time I had a room facing the stret so was a tad noisy but overall good.
Good hotel for money
The property is in great area. Rooms are a little tired and safes need an upgrade . In all good experience though!
There is no usb charging socket at the bedside. First floor is really noisy. Overall is ok.
Although we had the thermostat turned up as high as we could, it was still cold in the room. We had a corner room, therefore 2 outside walls. The continental breakfast was very good. Reasonably priced (£8.00).
Very basic room, wish they would throw some art on the walls to make it a bit less dreary. Otherwise the beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the staff were nice. Excellent location!
Great hotel! Highly affordable in a great location. Very clean. Amazing and friendly staff!
Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel was pretty local to food and shopping places. It was also close to the Paddington station. Our room was clean when we got there, I have no complaints. They would come each day to clean. I would definitely stay again.
Convenient, clean, inexpensive and comfortable. It wasn't the Ritz by any means, but great for a couple of nights. Very close to Paddington and lots of great places to eat.
We really liked how the front desk was always ready to assist with a smile and a hello.
The area around the hotel can't be beat. Lots of great restaurants and lively streets. So close to the beautiful parks and interesting neighborhoods. Cons The staff were brusque and didn't feel welcoming. The room was very small, unfortunately, for the price we paid.
Stayed at the Lancaster Hall Hotel in London for 4 nights in November 2024. The hotel is located in a nice area, about a 6-8 minute walk to Paddington Station and an even shorter walk to Lancaster Gate station and Hyde Park. There are many shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance. It felt very safe to walk around even late at night. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and helpful. Stayed in a twin room with 2 twin beds. It was very small and cramped but I traveled with my daughter and wanted the two beds. We were there only to sleep, shower, etc., so it did not bother us that much and the room was clean. Last morning we had breakfast at the hotel, which was a nice continental breakfast as expected. Overall, it was a good place to stay and I would stay again if I go back to London.
Superb service and price
Great little hotel close to Paddington station at a great price. Tucked away down a side street so it was quiet. Decent size room with bath and shower. Staff were excellent too
Don’t be fooled
The first picture shown of this hotel is not the hotel at all - it is The Mitre - a lovely pub across and down the street. The Lancaster Hall is not in a lovely old British building - it is a somewhat run down 1960s building. It he mattresses were very worn , the rooms needed painting and updating. It was clean. It was just disappointing
The current sign has been updated to a more modern look. Bed was very soft, not firm. Lots of snacks to buy in the lobby.
Great staff average size basic rooms very clean great location
Good location
It was clean. It had an old bathroom with a huge tub and pedestool sink. No chest of drawers to put our stuff on. A double bed which was too small for us. The room was hot with no temp control.
Need NEW Matter New hot cold faucet Hotel room tissues
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights and we loved it. Th hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful and the room was a good size with comfortable beds. I would stay here again.
Very good location short walk from Lancaster Gate entrance to Hyde Park. Many restaurants and cafes very close. Quiet area. Staff helpful and pleasant Room very small and cramped.
Location is wonderful. Short walk from Paddington. Quiet street with cafes. Helpful staff. Will stay again
Within 10 minute walk to Paddington Station. Great staff, lots of local restaurants
Nice staff close to restaurants and shopping
I think this hotel is a GREAT value!! We really liked it! I especially appreciate the bathtub!
Rooms are compact but that’s to be expected. Great location near the park and to paddington
Very clean, very accessible and very friendly and helpful staff!
The room is humid. The sheets and the carpet are wet because of the humidity. There’s no A/C just s little fan. Mattress is old, too old. The shower too. Totally disappointed.
The hotel is very plain, utilitarian, very clean however and in the best area to stay by Kensington gardens, Hyde park, piccadilly station, Lancaster underground station.
Great option close to Paddington.
Excellent option close to Paddington Station. Quiet, super clean and comfortable.lovely staff. Would not hesitate to stay again! Early checkout at 1030am but big luggage room.
It was a really nice hotel and was very clean and the customer service was very kind and friendly
Hotel needs so remodeling
Stayed overnight for a 14 hours layover... short 5-10 minutes walk from the Paddington station. Staffs are friendly and throughly, explained everything during check in, even let my buddy and I an umbrella during the rain to go grab food. Plenty of restaurants around. Overall, convenient, clean, hot water, flushable toilet, friendly staffs, walkable distance from the Paddington station. No complains.
There are no switches for lamps or outlets close to bed, also no lights for reading at bed.
Lovely 4 night stay. Can’t beat the price or location.
This hotel is located between 2 Underground stops that are within walking distance: Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate. Did not eat at the hotel however there is a fantastic breakfast spot down the street Les Filles as well as an excellent pub the Mitre. Would def recommend this hotel for price and if you're just looking for a home base to travel from.
Hotel was clean but expensive for what you got.
Pretty decent property. Staff was friendly
Our stay here was very nice. The hotel is close to the undergroud and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Clean and good location
Loved that this hotel had a lift and was so close to Paddington station. Very helpful staff- they recommended an excellent Italian restaurant just across the street for an amazing dinner.
Only thing we didn’t like was their towel changing system but they will change them daily or every 2 days if you ask. Good value breakfast too
Perfect location for exploring Paddington
Central location for 2 Underground stops. Breakfast choices and a great pub down the block.
Stayed here for four nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and bed comfortable. Easy walking distance to shops, dining options, public transport and parks. Hotel even offered to hold our luggage after checkout for unlimited period at no additional cost. Only negative was our road facing room was a little noisy evening and early morning. Otherwise everything was great and we would stay here again. Would definitely recommend
The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Convenient to the tube.
We loved our stay at the Lancaster, easily accessible to bus routes, underground, lots of choices for all types of food. Our room was exactly as described, comfortable, clean. Staff at the front desk were exceptional, always ready to provide support, we loved our stay, thank you Lancaster!!
Clean and quiet, easy walking distance to Hyde Park
Didn’t realise how small a single bed is. Would never book that again.
Great place, clean, safe, just north of hyde park.
Great location! My GoTo hotel in London
Great service and conveniently located. Helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel.
Good basic hotel. Staff is very friendly. Area is very quiet and Hyde park is close.
Staff is very courteous and helpful. Well located near many conveniences.
We had a lovely three days in London. The hotel is a 6-7 min walk to Paddington station Lots of wonderful restaurants in the area. Very quiet street. Would stay here again
Convenient location. friendly and helpful staff, good value for the perice.
Just a great place lose to paddington station
The location is amazing with Hyde Park and Kensington Castle so close and Paddington Station providing access to the Tube and trans. Hotel was clean, very friendly and room perfect for our needs (beds, bathroom, morning tea and bisquits, and great climate control).
Comfortable room
Great location. Nice staff. Clean. Water would fluctuate between hot and cold when showering and bathroom door didn't really shut. Very noisy overnight in streets and some guests on the hall through the wee hours of the morning.
Great stay!
Convenient
cozy room for 2 but everything else was good.
Love to come back and stay here again .. very friendly and room is very clean
The staff was excellent!!
Staff was nice and the rooms were clean. The tube was a quick 10 minute walk. Overall great hotel
Good location
Stayed with my daughter for 4 nights. Safe and convenient. Room was comfortable and clean. Provided fan helped cool room. Convenient to transportation making all of London easily accessible. Would stay again.
Very clean, staff very helpful
Lancaster hall hotel
The hotel was lovely. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Bed was really comfortable and shower was good.
This was such a lovely place. My only complaint is the mattresses were very uncomfortable. I think they need to be updated. Other than that, very lovely. Great location and the staff were great.
Hotel was in a great location! I would definitely stay here again. However be aware that there is no AC which can be problematic in the hot summer months as the windows do not open much.
Staff was helpful and provided a second fan for our room because there is no A/C
Hotel did provide table top fans for the room but it was still considerably hot in the rooms. Not much they can do about that with Europe not having A/C but maybe something to consider. The hallway and lobby felt air conditioned so it was a very big difference going from the hallway to the room. Staff did provide a second fan for our room!
We loved this place. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Things to know, there is no air conditioning and not all rooms have private bathrooms. We had a private bathroom and they do have fans. We would stay there again for sure. It was an amazing place.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. With how clean it was it made for an enjoyable stay especially for the price!
Very clean. Service was great! Great stay overall!
Service excellence of the staff. Reasonable rates. Availability of restaurant quality late dinner till 9:45 pm. Close to public transport. Lots of restaurants and pubs/bars close to hotel. Nice hotel, will definitely stay here again.
Convenient hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was limited, but fine. No AC, which we knew since it wasn't listed in the description. The room got quite warm, but couldn't leave window open through the night due to street noise.
Good location, sub-par room
This hotel is on a good location - a few minutes from Paddington Station and Hyde Park. However even by London standards it was very small and shabby. It was acceptably clean, but only just with very thin towels and no frills whatsoever. There is a good breakfast buffet available for a reasonable price. But the room itself was not pleasant.
Good but not great
Intermittent and loud noise from the AC unit. Very annoying. Breakfast is OK at best.
Good place to stay - quiet neighborhood
Incredible location that was safe and easy access to public transit as well as beautiful neighborhood within walking distance of many attractions. Bathroom was a little outdated but everything else was lovely. We were able to park our car downstairs which was extremely convenient. Would absolutely stay here again.
Very good
Very comfortable room, not huge but larger than many hotel rooms in London. Good immediate vicinity with a number of nice restaurants, shops etc within a very short distance. It's a bit further from Paddington Station than some other hotels but worth the effort.
The only problem i had was i paid 16 pounds for 2 breakfasts and ended up with tea and toast and bowl of cereal other than that lovely hotel very friendly staff very comfortable
Last few days of a UK adventure!
Fabulous location. Close to transit, parks and pubs!
Great Location!
Location was great, close to Paddington station for quick access ti Heathrow airport and tube system. Also close to Lancaster gate station for another good option to the tube. Lots of good eating options with a block or two. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. For 8 pounds the breakfast was great. No hot food, but lots of meats, cheese, croissants, breads, jams, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee (latte), and such. At first I thought the rooms were small, but after staying for 3 nights it worked out well. It was very clean and functional. Two elevators were quick and always available. Would stay here again.
Our stay was wonderful and so close to so many restaurants and activities.
It was dreary
It is older and rooms are small. Staff is great.

Great location, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. The best thing about this hotel though is the staff. They are all absolutely fantastic. Maya on reception is especially great. A great hotel at a great price. Will return!
