Great location. Great breakfast. Excellent staff. Rooms were very good to excellent. It was a great find hotel.
Best place to stay in Lagos
What a great hotel All people so friendly Thanks again
Friendly , helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere and A Michelin rated restaurant on site.
Great hotel, only made better by fantastic staff.
Booked this place because of its 9.6 rating. Also booked another hotel in Tavira the next night for the same reason. Both hotels were excellent in terms of facilities, room quality etc, but this one really does stand out because of the staff. From the receptionist to the cleaner, to the staff in the restaurant, service was faultless and the difference with the next hotel was noticeable, despite both having the same rating. It wasn't that the staff at the next place were sub-standard, but they made noticeably less effort to make the experience special for customers. It really goes to show for me that a hotel isn't just the place, but the people who run it. Truly outstanding.
While the staff and the location were great. I found the hotel cramped, smelly, poor air circulation and very small room.
Excellent staff, outstanding breakfast, beautiful and comfortable rooms. Close to everything -- train station, marina, shopping, restaurants, boardwalk. Lovely pool. I'm not sure how this could be better. I would definitely come again.
Hotel is good for a beach hotel. A dim night light would be good in the room. Beds a bit soft but comfortable.
Perfect Lagos Hotel
Right across the bridge coming from the train station. great location and access to plenty around you. Very nice hotel, would stay again
Conveniently located right across from the marina which offered nice views. Shopping and dining options were close by as well as leisure options. The rooftop offers a spectacular view and the pool is nice even in winter. The breakfast was delicious each morning. Staff and service was excellent. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
Great hotel. Breakfast and waiter, Francis/Francesco, made it a pleasant experience every morning. All staff were welcoming and friendly, except for one cold as ice receptionist. I still highly recommend hotel in spite of her.
Lovely stay
The hotel is well located, very walkable, and very convenient- it is right across from the bridge to the marina for tours and very walkable to a range of shops and restaurants. There are very limited hotel parking spots, but there are two parking lots within 1-2 blocks that always had spots in at least one of them if not both and there is free parking right across the pedestrian bridge at the marina. The rooms are clean and nice. The buffet is amazing. Everyone was friendly. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. There isn't a bathroom separated by a door- so it could be awkward for people traveling together who want privacy.
This was a Treat!! From our Checkin with Gabriella (She was the Best at answering our questions and helping us with the Area). To the Best Breakfast we have had in a lot of hotels.. Very Well cleaned.. Great layout and roomy in our room.. Thank-you!!
Enjoyed every thing about this hotel.
Estaba bien situado, los cuartos bastante bien pero , chicos en general bien , el Personal amable
Pool
Great property with stellar amenities in a city setting.
The stay was wonderful! The problem is that there is NO parking. You have to look for parking at the Marina which is a 15 minute walk.
We enjoyed our stay
This hotel was in an amazing location, very clean with a nice balcony. The staff was very helpful in organizing day trips for us. I would highly recommend this hotel in the center of everything.
The breakfast that was included was excellent!
The included breakfasts were superb!!!! Beyond compare!!!
Beautiful hotel and prime location. I got some great restaurant recommendations and tasty drinks from the bartender at the rooftop pool bar who also told me more about Lagos. Breakfast was also delicious! I am very happy I decided to come to Lagos and choose this hotel.
A great hotel on the perfect location. Wonderful, friendly, and eager staff made our stay so fun. Comfortable beds, good A/C, good shower.
Staff especially front desk were amazing. Only negative is the parking. There are only perhaps ten spots in the back which local residents also parked in -- had to park three blocks away with no closer option
Great
I like the stuff, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were 1st floor facing the main road so it wasn't much private we had to make sure the blinds are down. The breakfast was great and I love the design. We park in the street around walked 3 min to the hotel. The layout of the room was weird, the toilet was separate from the sink.
Amazing stay, location and staff!!
Fabulous on all levels, I am so glad I splurged for this hotel! The room was beautiful, with all the amenities including face cloths, which is not common in Portugal, we enjoyed the balcony and quiet despite being near the bus station. The room was always made up by the time we returned from an outing, no waiting around for clean towels. Breakfast and the service in the restaurant was outstanding. Fruits, little pots of yogurt with compote, champagne and freshly squeezed orange juice, exquisite pastries, meats and cheese, plus you could also order eggs and the like from the menu. It was so central, we walked to beaches and reataurants, absolutely loved it!
Safe clean property with pleasant staff
Beautiful boutique hotel in Lagos. Easy access to restaurants and bars. Rooftop pool. Friendly staff.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect. The pool on the rooftop was great. The location is ideal proximity as it was a short walk to either the Marina restaurants or into Lagos town. If I was able to offer any suggestions it would only be to increase the menu options for room service to include smaller less expensive snacks.
Beautiful room. Spacious and clean. Helpful staff.
Zero customer service and management. The hotel is infested with aunts no matter what room they change you to. They came into our room without permission to spray bug spray. We couldn’t sleep all night from the smell and they didn’t really care and denied it. They refused to compensate us in any way. The hotel is fully aware that they have a problem with aunts and they should advise the customer upon arrival and give them the choice. We went to see the hotel next to it,they advised us right away that they have an issue but offered us a a special price due to the problem but unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate us for the time we were there.
Amazing rooftop pool & restaurant
We had a great stay - room was clean & comfortable with patio overlooking the marina. Highlight was the rooftop patio pool and excellent dinner at the restaurant!
The concierge was very helpful first and second shift. And also the serves at breakfast where friendly and polite
Wonderful hotel - very stylish. Lobby, restaurant and pool area very nice. Loved the room. Check in was easy, very efficient and helpful staff. Well located across from marina and very short walk to Old Town. I would stay here again.
WILL Visit again!
Fantastic! Location, Room, BREAKFAST!!!
Nice, but untraditional rooms.
Very friendly staff and nice common areas, including lobby and rooftop deck/pool. But rooms with no separate bathroom and a toilet separated from the bed by just a frosted glass door lacked the privacy expected of standard accommodations.
Everything! Hotel was beautiful and it was very easy to get around. A perfect stay.
Beautiful hotel. Fantastic breakfast, and excellent service from every member of the team. Thank you.
We have a wonderful 3 nights at this hotel. The hotel is very well located in Lagos. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The roof top and pool area is amazing with an exceptional view. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Hotel was beautiful , staff was great , location was also great , only downfall was the open glass shower .. a little inconvenient to have privacy when you are trying to get ready if you are with friends / family .
Great hotel anc restaurant. Rooftop pool is lovely and walking distance to anything you would want. Rooms could be a little better setup for privacy as bathroom and shower is quite open to the rest of the room
Difficult to park No help frombell man
Great place to stay if you’re in Lagos.
This hotel was beautiful and such a great find. There aren’t a ton of hotel options in Lagos, but this one is BY FAR the best. The hotel is clean, has beautiful views, great complimentary breakfast and amazing staff. I have to mention Isa, who checked us in, gave us amazing recommendations, and then later came to our room to help us escort a little lizard that had come in off the balcony back outside😂. The staff here go above and beyond, and it was a fabulous stay. I can’t recommend more!
.
The best!!!
People were warm and very attentive. Good English speaking and helpful staff.
Perfect location. The hotel had an issue when we checked in on Saturday. They could not make door keys. So, each time we needed to get into our room we needed a staff member to escort us. A bit frustrating. Breakfast was great.
The fact that it was around the corner from the bus terminal and very close to the train station was a huge plus!! Rooms were nice, well serviced and beds comfy, didn’t realize there was a button for a blackout curtain until day 2. Staff were friendly & able to book boat tours. Could store luggage, rooftop bar and pool very nice. breakfast was AWESOME!! Would definitely stay here again, close to shopping restaurants and marina. Best hotel of our Portugal trip!
A five star property. The breakfast was the best ive had travelling. Bed was very comfortable. Decor was calming. Staff polite and helpful
Excellent service Excellent breakfast Excellent staff Excellent location
This is a great hotel, close to marina, walking distance to the beach and to the old town , with restaurants and live music. Rooms are very spacious and modern, with Scandinavian design
The most incredible hotel! It was by far the nicest hotel in the area and had a perfect location. The rooftop and huge breakfast made the stay so special. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends family that visit!
We loved this hotel. Room was spacious and wonderfully decorated. The location was central but quiet. Staff very helpful. The only complaint is not enough English speaking tv channels, mostly a German clientele.
Top notch. We had a wonderful stay. We loved the hotel.
Beautiful hotel, great staff, great location!
Very clean and interesting hotel conveniently located. Our stay was excellent. The stuff is friendly. The food is fantasic.
The views of Lagos Marina from the hotel’s rooftop pool area is excellent! Restaurant was excellent
Great property right across from the marina and just a short walk into town
Great location, close to train and bus terminals and walking distance to old town. Room set up is awkward, if you need to turn on a light at night to use washroom, only option is ultra bright lights by entry door or lights above bed!
Loved the place, and the restaurant and bar were great. Staff was excellent. Great location, close to everything. Only downside was the bed was a bit hard and low, not easy to sit on and hurt my back.
Clean room, helpful staff, excellent location. Highly recommend.
Staff could have been friendlier. Rooms VERY small.
The bathroom and shower situation is really not ideal. No privacy. If you need to use them overnight need to switch the light on which lights up the whole room. Sheer Curtain seperating the bed from the bathroom area. No decent storage area for clothes. Room freezing in October when asked about heating options was told the heat is switched off at this time, and to try turning the AC off which we had done. 3 night stay and tried to avoid being in the room for these reasons and ended up using the rest room in the lobby for more privacy. Would not stay here again as basic necessities not met unfortunately such as optimal room temperature, decent private toilet and shower experience, lack of proper closet space and interrupted sleep overnight due to a single light system that will light up your whole room should you choose the bathroom overnight. The breakfast is decent however for 29 euros per person you can get good breakfast anywhere in Lagos.
A Wonderful Place on a Rainy Day
A beautiful place where we were treated extremely well. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us…thank you for a great experience!
Delivered as promised! Outstanding staff, restaurant, room amenities, everything contributed to a great vacation for us as a couple. Many locals were very impressed when I told them we were staying at Lagos Avenida Hotel!
Excellent hotel with amazing restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Free parking nearby. Great reception/host who had excellent recommendations for additional nearby restaurants and things to do. Room very spacious and clean with own balcony
Nice property. Beautiful views. Fabulous breakfast!
Fantastic hotel, in a great location. The staff were friendly and efficient and our room was very clean. Food was very good at the pool bar, and breakfast. The Avenida restaurant on site is a must. The service and food was impeccable and made for a memorable stay. I would highly recommend.
The hotel was stunning inside. The location was perfect to walk to old town or the beaches, docks. We loved the fully included brunch - buffet plus ale cart items including mimosas, home made yogurt and amazing local fruits. The rooftop pool and bar we’re also a hit.
Wonderful location, terrific rooftop pool and bar. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again!
I would suggest a room that doesn’t overlook the marina as it’s very noisy and busy road. A room at the back would be quieter although it’s not such a pleasant view.
From the moment we arrived everything was incredible. The boho vibe was not only so relaxed elegant but the service was exceptional. The property itself is amazing and the staff are wonderful! The town was so l8velt. The shops and restaurants were incredible. Its just a charming place.
This was amazing elegant boho Beach eclectic boutique hotel. We had a beautiful room with a panoramic marina view. This hotels rooftop pool was gorgeous with amazing views! We lounged on the cabanas sipping wine watching the sunset. We walked to the Lighthouse which we loved (say hi to Peter, the owner) and Portofino restaurant. Everything was in close proximity, shopping, bars, restaurants. Will return as soon as we can!
Bathroom was weird
Fantastic experience all around
Amazing hotel in a prime spot in Lagos. Staff was incredibly helpful, rooms were clean and spacious. The included breakfast is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. A+ would definitely stay again.
The room was smallish but well thought out. We had dinner in Avenida, their Michelin restaurant one night and it was excellent. Their breakfast was also very nice. Drinks and a swim at the rooftop bar was a great way to end the day. We would recommend dinner at Don Sebastiano in the old town and cocktails at D. Henrique. We would not recommend the Sky Bar for drinks. The Ponta da Piedade boat tour is a must. Our tour (Happy Time) used a big boat to take you out then a small boat to enter the caves and grottos. There are awesome boardwalks along the beaches with beach bars and umbrellas and chairs.
Wonderful location and nice property. But for price, those should be expected. Perhaps a nitpick, but pillows were not great. Good lighting and ample plug spots.
Compared to other hotels in Portugal at this price point (or less) this was just average in all areas.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were unique and the layout a little funky, but overall so worth it. The balcony’s were great along with the delicious breakfast. Staff was incredible, provided great recommendations and helped us set up everything we need. We had a small issue with ants in our room and the team quickly moved us into a new room. Overall would stay again!
Pricey
Just a place to sleep for the night, it was very nice and breakfast was good but $400 I mean come on
Excellent location Only negative pool was so cold and was very windy up there
10/10 would highly recommend. Everything has attention to detail and the service is great. Had to call down for a few bits we needed (toothpaste, extra towels, etc.) and we’re always quick and happy to help. Breakfast is delish (runs until 11 am) the pool is lovely. We had no issues using the cabana and there were plenty of sun beds available. Our room had soooo much space and the beds were so comfy (we requested a king). They had a complimentary bottle of wine for us since we mentioned we were celebrating our engagement. The marina is directly across the street makes it super convenient if you’re taking tours. The aesthetic of the hotel is 15/10- very instagrammable. You pay the extra $$ to get what you want which is this level of service and comfort! Would only stay here in Lagos again.
First class hotel-everything was excellent. Staff⭐️ Food⭐️ Rooms⭐️ Rooftop pool/terrae ⭐️
Would 100% recommend
We had an amazing stay, the hotel was so lovely, beds were comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the hotel was kept very clean and overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, my only minor complaints were that there are not enough sun loungers to guests and you either had to go up v early in the morning or late into the afternoon to be able to get a bed, it was also said you cannot reserve a sunbed but people still did so and disappeared for lunch, also there is a mini fridge filled with snacks you can purchase but it would have been nice to have a place to store your own drinks/snacks!
Absolutely perfect location right across from marina and 5 minutes to the old town behind the hotel. The breakfast was a 5 star plus-definitely one of the finest fresh choices we’ve ever had. Having a small pool area was a nice plus feature too. There are 4 designated parking spots behind the hotel which isn’t much for this congested lively town. The room was the disappointment—it could be described somewhere between quirky to dysfunctional! I like a bathroom (specifically the toilet!) to be separated from the sleeping area by more than a frosted glass enclosure and a sheer curtain. You open the door right into the sink and shower. Because it’s all glass, there’s nowhere they could have put hooks on the wall to hang things. However, despite the weird room set up, I’d still give the hotel a 4- to 4 rating averaging in everything. I’d even recommend to anyone who cares little about bathroom privacy.
Fantastic all around
Very convenient and walkable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast!
Excellent stay
Close to the marina, train station, and a short walk into the old town. Would recommend!
It was a beautiful hotel. We had rooms overlooking the marina which was fine except for a very loud beeping walk light. I know they are needed for people with sight disabilities but it could be turned down or accessed with a turn on button. It went constantly and changed the whole experience. I would take a room at the back of the hotel overlooking an alley.
We loved our stay at the Lagos Avenida Hotel. It is beautifully decorated, located right on the water and the rooms are extremely quiet. The breakfast buffet is probably the best I’ve had at this price point of a hotel, lots of choices and fresh fruit and baked items. The only complaint about breakfast was that Diet Coke was not included, I’m not a coffee or tea drinker and had to pay an exorbitant price each morning for a small bottle of Diet Coke. The room has an electric window blind that blocks out light and noise allowing for peace and quiet at night. We loved having wine out on the balcony each evening watching the people and enjoying the water view. The rooms are gorgeously decorated but enjoy it when you walk in because it won’t look the same after you unpack. There is a lack of storage, only a small closet so you end up laying clothes all over, a few drawers in nightstands would help. We would stay here again, It was lovely.
Amazing location. We could walk everywhere. The breakfasts are amazing with a lot of option.
great view of marina. very good breakfast. small but nice pool
Loved the location of the property and the overall "vibe" of the hotel (i.e. as a boutique hotel). Several commented on the bathroom design. A little different from standard hotels (and honestly didn't seem necessary as a design element) but overall not really a detractor to the stay. Absolutely fantastic breakfasts each morning. The only thing that is a little misleading is their statement that they have parking. They do - but it's only 3 slots on the street behind them. After that, one has to find street parking which depending on the day and season may not be so easy or park near the train station which means walking back and forth over the footbridge. Not a problem, but not fully transparent on what the parking situation is. Regardless, I absolutely give my highest recommendation for staying at this hotel!
We were so happy with our 8 night stay! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is pristine and very beautiful in a modern trendy decor and so inviting. The breakfast is fantastic and the bed extremely very comfortable. The hotel is very well located - a very short walk to Old Town and wonderful restaurant options and sights. The pool and deck area are comfortable and feature a view of the Marina. Our room was on the back of the hotel and had a great private deck with a table, chairs, umbrella and lounger - perfect for an afternoon drink and some sun. If ever in Lagos - no question - this is our hotel!!
Thanks for a great stay!

Nice hotel, comfy beds, good food, immediate check in
