Except food, everything else was average. It is definitely not 5 star property. We paid extra for the five star stay at Labranda Royal but were disappointed with the amount of money spent. Taxi service at hotel was five times expensive than private service outside. Some parts of the beach were not part of the all inclusive deal e.g. love sign side.

Very nice resort with beautiful outdoor areas, big beach, pool and gardens. Very friendly staff and good entertainment. Food was good and changed every night. Indoors and furniture might need a touch up, but cleanliness was good.
This property had one major selling point because it had a number of restaurants. It was good for kids and adult alike. What I didn’t like is the extra charges - for ice cream and drinks at the beach bar. The hotel was not a 5 star hotel it was 4 star.

Not recommended for ALLERGY sufferers. On my last night, I booked the Italian restaurant at the hotel with guest relations at reception. Just like the other two bookings I had previously with other restaurants at the hotel, the guest relation staff added a note to my booking online to state nut allergy. I then attended the restaurant for the 9pm booking and mentioned to the waiter my nut allergy. The waiter stated just no desserts were suitable. I ordered chicken Caesar salad for my starter and for main the Olio Pasta (sauce on menu stated chilli, olive oil, garlic and parsley). I ate the starter and then it was around 20minutes until the main arrived. Within 5 minutes of starting to eat the main I felt the initial symptoms of an allergic reaction. I then went to reception and stated I needed an ambulance as I think I’m experiencing an allergic reaction. The receptionist stated it was 40 minutes to a hospital but they have a doctor on site who they would call. I spoke to the doctor on the phone explaining I have anaphylaxis and they came to me quickly and assessed me confirming I was in the initial stage of anaphylaxis. I was with the doctor from around 9.45pm - 2am and luckily survived. The meeting with Head Chef, Food Manager and Guest relations next day made me feel very emotional as I had a near death experience, had been too afraid to sleep since and then I was afraid to eat anything. They denied any nuts were in the food and that the recipe was in the Chef’s head.
Nice but needs some improvement
We booked family room with two single beds and one king-size bed, but we got one king-size and one single bed. At the check-in conditions for the payment of the booking changed, we supposed to have deposit paid before arrival and rest before check in but that was not the case. We had to pay the full amount before check-in without explaination if someone pulled money or not for the deposit. After that during our stay it was nice. There need to do some more work around timetable for the animation activity since there is not information about that on the beach or around the pools. There should be more sunbeds around the pools since it is war in the morning to catch free sunbeds. Even it is Egypt I think that the name of the hotel should be earnet there is nothing Royal in the hotel. Dress code is not enforced even it is written. Towel change is late during dinner and should be before closing the pools. I think that service is little slow for this kind of hotel you need to get everything by yourself. Other thing that is kind of annoying are tours that are sold by the pool. The prices are sometime double than the real price. If this kind of seller is operating on the hotel ground the should be regulated by the hotel with offical price list and extra costs written on leaflet or in front of their shops. The shows and the other program is perfect. I really enjoyed my stay as much as I could because I was only 6 nights there. Hopefully you can improve somethings so it will be great.
Been to several all inclusive resorts before - Bahamas & Mexico- and found Labranda Royal on par with the rest. The general food is always impossible to make great, there was some hits and some misses, but the à la cart restaurants -in our case, Greek, French and Seafood- were EXCELLENT. The pools are clean and big, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. What stuck me the most was the hard working staff everywhere… at the reception, the lifeguards, the servers and bartenders… they made our trip wonderful and enjoyable. Thank you the Labranda team, we will come back and see you again. Special thanks to Uounan, Waleed and Khaled.
Unprofessional staff , bad food , sometimes you find nothing to eat in their restaurant , totally overrated
I spent 3 days in labranda royal makadi every thing is ok but there is luxuries some point i want to mention beach is excellent becuse you can swim but itis boring no music or entertainment In all inclusive very bad quality of coffee milk and juices Food is ok but not excellent quality or variety Room is clean but with little bad smell from bathroom You can’t control the air conditioning Overall the stay was good
Terrible staff with a lot of attitude, when we ask them something I have to ask several time, a lot of problems and miscommunication and false information from the management team, thanks to Saber Joseph head of security and Mostafa Abel Aty who helped pushing the staff to do their job, otherwise we would have left from the first day
Property was ok. Friend staff but the food was overall uninteresting and under seasoned. What you would expect of a all inclusive but the reason for my disappointment is that this is promoted as a 5 star resort. In my opinion it’s more of a 3.5/4. Not a bad experience but definitely not 5 star all around.
Horrible Management
I went to celebrate my birthday with my wife. My nephews and nieces are Makadi residents which meant they had access to the hotel. The management denied them access and called security. When I asked Sherif the manager and Mohamed at checkin the told me Hadi the general manager said no. I asked to meet that “Hadi” guy. Apparently he was too good for me. Later on they sent me a cake to my room. I returned the cake to them and wrote a letter to the general manager to shove it up his ass. I had to celebrate off site somewhere else. I couldn’t eat at the hotel. There is no valet service and I had to walk away with a foot injury. The whole experience was terrible. The lower staff were great. The management sucked. They don’t like us Americans or Egyptians apparently. I was told they only like Russians only. I was extremely disappointed of how discriminative they are. Because I said that’s not fair sherif walked me to coco loco, a side establishment and acted like he was doing me a favor to get me off the checkin counter. I was cordial ok but peeved. Not a hotel to stay in for me again. I’m going to raise holly hell on them with the department of tourism and the county commissioner. They haven’t heard the end of me yet. They have to learn their lesson. I had a terrible birthday experience.
This was supposed to be all inclusive and it wasn’t. Staff did not honor the reservation.
We liked everything
This hotel is the worst hotel ever, the food was horrible cold SALTY SOUPS THE LIST GOES ON: i changed my room three times and still the rooms are horrible. Old smelly dated rooms with barely working AC units: OUTSIDE LOOKS AMAZING the inside is HORRIBLE

Fantastic trip
It was an amazing trip and the wonderful vacation with all staff help and support, I want to thank the whole team but especially the reception team for all their support for any request I ask for, amazing animation team, good quality of food and taste, a la Carte restaurant level is very good, I would recommend it to anyone to stay there
The staff are so nice .. mr sherif hassanin the guest relation manager was so nice .. he listened to me and solved all my problems.. he really made my trip wonderful..
Not a good stay
Wasn’t impressed at all with our stay at Labranda. Rooms weren’t clean, dusty furniture, disgusting remote control, dirty towels! Unheated pool where temperatures drop to 12-15 degrees during the night. Staff were wearing masks, but no social distancing practices were present amongst the guests. Christmas dinner venue was extremely crowded and almost all guests weren’t wearing masks and tables were close to each other, we asked to be seated outside in the open air
Everything was perfect and Spot on for the hotel. Beach was amazing. Loads of pool and great views
Very bad experience
It’s not the same like my previous 3 visits. The main restaurant is very bad and can’t reserve the private restaurant because some guests book 30 seats one shoot
October rating
It was very good, service are friendly, clean, safe, sanitizer everywhere, beachfront are fascinating. In terms of food , it’s a lot , food quality is moderate, food variety is not much . If you are looking for ONLY food , Labranda is not your destination. Over all 9/10 is my rating.
Good hotel but need some improvement
The hotel was very good and service also. The room was clean but the furniture is old. The beach was amazing. The food was poor no variety and not tasty. That is not acceptable from hotel 5 stars. The animation team was very entertaining. The hotel also was very crowded I thought they received guests more than 50 %
Good but not excellent
Very clean and well organized staff every thing would be perfect just if the food was good, few food varieties and only pizza for snaks for 3 days!!
Great hotel and I will go there again
The hotel is family friendly and our stay was amazing and the stuff are all cooperative especially mr mohamed in the reception desk,mr Hossam the reservation man, mr Hamam in the pool bar and mr Hani in the lobby bar. The food is various and tasty, the animation team is good but one of them is so tough he is called ibrahim but all of them are great and talented . They adhere to covid instructions but there was lines for almost every thing and people were so close to each other.

Good hotel, terrible food
The hotel was very good regarding cleanliness, service, room space and comfort and the animation team was very entertaining specially that at night you're left with nothing to do but they managed to keep us entertained. The only bad thing was the food, the desserts were a disaster, breakfast was okay, lunch wasn't good at all and dinner was made with what's left from lunch, for a 5 stars hotel I didn't expect the food to be so terrible. You may want to book a room closer to the beach because it's very far away and there's a snack restaurant and bar on it.

cubords are very old and they smell so also curtuns seem to be not washed when I asked for singel bed they brought but the mattres was so strong and not clean
The Animation team, resturant, bar and house keeping staff. Food was great and a lot of choice. More variety of non alcoholic drinks would be good. Hotel should clearly outline ala carte resturant voucher policy. As per hotel 2 vouchers given if 7 nights are booked directly with them. If booked with expedia there is only 1 voucher. We were under the impression that 1 voucher per night will be given. Only request is that this is made v clear. The hotel honoured our request and gave us extra vouchers. Overall excellent stay and wonderful staff who go above and beyond to make everyone comfortable. We will recommend and also go back another time. Minor hickups are not to be mentioned because overall it was so great experience. Keep up the great friendly service

Nice clean resort, Ramy at the front desk was very helpful. The only thing I did not like is the food lines, you will spend a good 30min trying to get a food in your plate due to long wait lines. Thank you to the resultant managers for trying to make us a happy after frustration in the long lines. Good for families and beach is great too.
My stay in Labranda Royal Makadi was not as expected. 1. While checking in the receptionist collected our national ID and delivered me the form to fill and then he was gone to the back office (separate room) and stayed there for almost 10 minutes and leaving us just standing there. 2. The hotel was over crowded and you have to stand in lines to get most of the food dishes during the three meals. 3. Staff are just trying to look friendly, but it is clearly that they are faking it. 4. They allow veiled ladies into the pool fully dressed in cotton clothing, and even there was a lady sitting on the pool side fully dressed (not in swimming suits) with her flip flops immersed into the pool. 5. Food quality and variety are limited and they are just counting on all inclusive concept so all the guests just eat. 6. Twice in my stay which was basically 2 nights there were water cut and I was not able to shower and had to wait around 30 minutes for the water to come back. 7. Highly not recommended.
Good place for family vacation
Great resort and the food is good , privet beach and large swimming pools , the rooms are large and comfort Its a great place for a family vacation and the children had a lot of fun
Very Good for this price and location of hotel and I recommend to stay in this hotel.
Beautiful property, facilities and amazing all inclusive food. Quality local diving centre. Staff friendly but unfortunately quite demanding of tips (even for poor service i.e. room not cleaned until 4:30pm). Sun loungers plentuful but despite the not being able to reserve them they were all reserved. Guests mostly German and all notices, tv channels and greetings in German but most staff also spoke English.

The hotel was big and pool area was really big and comfortable. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with bidé shower. Restaurants were ok, food was ok - had different theme every day, but it wasn't especially tasty. Staff was nice and they were everywhere. Minus side was that there were lot of sellers and tour guides offering their services around the pool constantly. Remember to bargain because the prices are much higher than buying from somewhere else. We did buy para sailing and quad bike experiences which were fantastic!! The spa sauna and jaquzzi weren't that special. Massage was good. The biggest minus was the location when trying to use Uber, because no driver would drive with Uber prices, and they would ask 25€ for 15km ride. Had to cancel all the trips because couldn't agree on the price. Also hotel didn't provide shuttle bus to the mall and their taxi would have cost 30€. You need to search other options from the internet to get around. If you want peace and just relaxing, this is good spot.
Es war alles super. Pool war beheizt. Man konnte schön entspannen. Die animatöre max und mario haben immer für stimmung gesorgt. Es war alles top
Wir hatten eine erholsame Woche. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Bei den Buffets ist für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Gepflegte Anlage. Zimmer in Ordnung, mir persönlich hat nur eine Steckdose im Badezimmer gefehlt.
